The next morning had arrived and Elena was awoken by her three best friends crashing into her bedroom and jumping on the bed.

"It's your wedding day," Caroline exclaimed as she threw rose petals all across her bed and over where Elena's body was buried under.

"It's finally here," Rebekah shouted excitedly, she too drizzling the bed with rose petals.

"We have so much to do," Bonnie was just as excited as the others, except she didn't have rose petals, she just lifted her hands and made them all float and hover around them.

"I can't believe it's finally here," Elena spoke, her heart was glowing and her heart kept a constant fast rhythm, she couldn't believe they had made it.

"Come on, let's go," Caroline said as she stood from the bed, "We have to go straight downstairs, there's a huge breakfast waiting for you; we woke Elijah a couple of hours ago, we've all been downstairs making everything perfect you."

"You're going to love it," Bonnie stood from the bed and stepped beside Caroline, both of them now waiting by the door.

Rebekah followed the girls but not before whipping the blanket off of Elena and throwing it to the other side, "Plenty of time to sleep when you're married, let's go."

"I'm up," Elena spoke excitedly before hopping out of bed and following them out of the room, "I'm going to be a wife by the end of the day."

They all stood on the landing jumping up and down excitedly, laughing and screaming.

"I'm going to cry throughout the entire ceremony, I'm so jealous," Caroline spoke as they all descended the staircase.

They entered the kitchen and Elena's lips parted; there was roses everywhere, on the table, the counters and the island, it was beautiful.

There was so much food, she didn't even know where to start.

"Enjoy," Rebekah spoke before sitting on the table, grabbing a piece of toast on the way.

"I'm going to be eating at least half of this," Bonnie said before grabbing a plate, everyone chuckling as they watched her fill her plate.

Elena grabbed the next plate and began, she picked up a piece of toast, a bowl of fruit salad, freshly cooked bacon, sausage and egg, a couple of pancakes and a waffle, "I'm pregnant, leave me alone."

They all laughed as she took a seat, each of them indulging in a perfect breakfast.

"So, give me the run down of the day," Elena spoke as she bit into a waffle.

"It's 7am, we have 6 hours until the ceremony, for the first 2 hours, you are to take a long bath and relax," Caroline spoke, her voice calm.

"I like the sound of that," Elena smiled playfully.

"After that, we have a quick surprise for you that will last one hour and don't ask, I can't tell you what it is," She raised her index finger and pointed it towards Elena, shaking it back and forth, "At 10 am, we start to welcome guests and 10:30am is when we go straight to hair and make up."

"This is so exciting," A wide grin appeared on Elena's face, followed by more food; everyone chuckled.

"At 12pm, we'll all be dressing and doing the finishing touches, 12:45pm everything should be ready." Caroline smiled widely, clapping her hands slightly.

"Sound's perfect," Elena suddenly began to feel a wave of emotion wash over her, "I love you guys so much."

"No, no, no crying," Rebekah interjected, her eyes welling up too, "You'll make me cry."

"I just," Elena paused for a minute to wipe away her tears, "I'm just so glad I have you all."

"Crying isn't scheduled," Caroline spoke as she began to cry too, all of them chuckling between tears, "I can't believe you're getting married and having a baby."

"I'm so proud of you, Elena," Bonnie said as they all reached around and pulled each other into a group hug, there heads all pressed against each others.

"What have I walked in on?" Klaus spoke as he entered the kitchen, a smirk placed on his lips.

"Oh shut up and get in here," Elena said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him into the hug.

"We're just so happy for Elena and Elijah," Rebekah spoke to her brother before wrapping her arm around his shoulders.

"Well, this is lovely," Spoke Klaus sarcastically, "But I am happy for you and my brother, you're as much a part of this family as we are."

Elena just wept more at his words, hearing that from him meant more than anyone could know.

"Woah," Elena sat back and broke the hug, using one of the napkins on the table to wipe away her tears, "These hormones are crazy."

"Yeah, whatever," Caroline said as she nudged her playfully, "Blame the hormones; now go get a bath and relax."

Elena nodded her head and stood from the chair, "Where's Elijah?"

"He's busy," Bonnie spoke, "But completely fine, you don't have to worry, enjoy your bath."

"Okay," She shrugged her shoulders before spinning on her heel and exiting the kitchen, she made her way up to the bedroom and entered the en-suite, the bath had already been prepared; there was candles lit and placed all across the rim of the tub and rose petals drizzled in the water, the lights had been dimmed and there was essential oils diffusing.

She took off Elijah's shirt and let it drop the floor, she pulled down her panties and stepped into the tub; she lay back and let the water wash over her, she was completely relaxed.

She just lay there with her eyes closed, her mind wandering to what life could be like with Elijah and there baby; her hand was place on her stomach, making small circular patterns as she pictured them all together, playing and running around the back garden of a nice little house with a picket fence and they're all just so happy.

She hoped it wasn't just a fantasy; she had easily forgotten all about last nights attack because she was so consumed with happiness but now that she was alone, it all came flooding back, she was starting to worry about Elijah too, she hadn't seen him this morning and had no idea where he was.

Standing up, she shook all of these thoughts from her mind and let the water shake off her, she reached for the towel and wrapped it around herself.

She stepped out of the shower and walked towards the mirror, she grabbed her brush from the side and ran it through her hair, catching all the knots and taming it until it was straight down her back; she brushed her teeth and exited the bathroom, she dried herself off quickly and slipped into a sky blue day dress, it had spaghetti straps and it fell mid-thigh.

"Oh, shoot," She looked at the clock and saw that it was 8:55am; she left the room and raced down the stairs, the living room door where closed so she looked in the kitchen, "Caroline?"

"We're in here," She heard her voice call out through the living room doors, she held the handles and pulled them open.

"Surprise!" Everyone called out to her, Elena jumped slightly and a wide grin appearing on her face at what she saw; there was a white and pink balloon arch, a table with party and finger foods spread across it and a banner that said 'congratulations on your wedding.'

"What is all this?" Elena said, small tears rolling down her cheeks.

"We didn't get the chance to throw you a bridal shower, so we're making up for it now," Bonnie spoke as she approached her best friend and gave her a hug, "Oh and don't think you're getting out of the Bachelorette party, as soon as you have the baby, we're all going out."

Caroline, Rebekah, Jeremy, Klaus, Damon, Stefan, Matt, Alaric and Tyler had all came as well, she was so overwhelmed that they had done this for her on top of planning the wedding, she felt blessed.

"You didn't have to do all this," She pulled Caroline and Rebekah into the hug as well.

"I know showers are meant to be all girls but you don't seem to like them," Caroline laughed before heading to the buffet table, she grabbed a champagne glass and returned it to Elena, passing it to her, "Non-alcoholic mimosa for the bride."

"So, it's just orange juice?" Elena chuckled.

"Pretty much, yeah," They all laughed at Caroline as she shrugged her shoulders.

They separated and Elena went to greet everybody else; she was happy to see them all, especially Jeremy, Matt and Alaric, she felt as though she hadn't been spending as much time with them as she should have been lately.

All her problems had vanished again, she was laughing and joking with everybody and catching up with them all, it felt like old times being surrounding by all the people she loved.

"Speech time," Caroline announced as she tapped her glass with a spoon and stood in the front of the room; everyone had turned there attention to her and the room went quiet as she began to speak, "Everyone here has known Elena her whole life, we all grew up together and we've all become as close as can be over the years; she's been there through all the good times and the bad and she's never asked any of us for a single thing, we've all been through so much together and it's been a hard few years but we've all come through it together and that's because of you, Elena."

Elena couldn't fight back the tears that where welling up in her eyes, she was touched by her words and she felt so emotional, especially when the girls in the room began to hug her and cry with her.

"To be here with you on your wedding day and to see just how happy you are, I know that you deserve every minute of it," She raised her glass and everyone followed suit, "To Elena."

"Elena!" Everyone called afterwards, she instantly darted to Caroline and gave her the biggest hug she could.

"I love you all so much," She wiped away the tears that wouldn't stop coming.

"Now, for the best part," She walked towards the doors that lead into the kitchen and slid them open, "Gifts!"

On the dining table was at least 40 gifts, Caroline waved her arm towards them and gestured for Elena to go in, "We have 15 minutes until make-up, open some."

Elena chuckled slightly, before entering the kitchen, her eyes where wide at the amount of gifts that where before her.

"These are just from us and a few others that arrived early, everyone who is coming today will still have more," Caroline spoke giddily, before picking one up and passing it to her, "Open mine first."

Elena just smiled kindly and began to unwrap it, pulling and ripping at the sides before it revealed the gift, "This is perfect."

It was a photo album; the words on the front read 'forever', she opened the first page and it revealed a picture of Elena, Caroline and Bonnie from about 5 years ago, they where sitting on a bench at school and they where all so happy.

She kept flicking through them, everyone was in there, there was even pictures of Elena with Damon and Stefan, "Caroline, this is amazing, thank you."

She hugged her best friend once more before picking another one from the table, she found Bonnie's gift and opened that one too; it was a dream-catcher, it was a good size and had beading and several feathers hanging from the bottom, the pattern in the centre was off a night sky, cloud, stars and moon.

"I want you to always keep following your dreams, no matter what happens along the way," Bonnie spoke, before Elena jumped on her and hugged her too.

There was only minutes left until make-up so Elena opened one more, it was from Jeremy; it was a blue hair pin, it had blue jewels in the centre and they where surrounding by a floral detail and pearls.

"This was mums, I found it a while ago in one of the boxes we had put away in storage; I went to find something old but came back with something blue, I had it cleaned, polished and tweaked a bit so it looks as good as new," Jeremy spoke.

"It's perfect," Elena looked at it properly, her fingers tracing the jewels and the detail to it, her eyes welling up once again as she felt close to her mum once again; she hugged him tightly before speaking "Thank you, Jer."

"It's beautiful, Elena," Spoke Bonnie as the girls all hovered around her too look at it, "It'll look great with your veil."

"One last surprise," Caroline said before grabbing Elena's shoulders gently and turning her slowly, "I thought this would be exactly what you would want."

She turned around and saw Elijah standing in the centre of the living room, an instant smile hit her lips and she felt her heart warm when she saw him standing there, she walked towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a passionate kiss, everyone clapped and cheered for them; Elena smiled on his lips at this entire moment.

"I'm so glad to see you," She spoke on his lips, her fingers playing with the ends of his hair.

"I'm sorry for not being here this morning, I had a last minute wedding gift to arrange and I wanted you to have the wedding morning you deserved," He responded, his hands placed on the small of her back.

"Seeing you gave it the last thing it needed to be perfect," She pressed her lips onto his once again and sunk into him.

Elena suddenly heard Caroline clearing her throat loudly and tapping the glass on her watch, "You'll have plenty of time to do this after the wedding but it's 10:05am, we have to go and do make-up and dressing, I refuse to let you be late to your wedding,"

Caroline grabbed Elena by the hand and pulled her towards the stairs, she turned back to smile at Elijah and shrug her shoulders at her friends behaviour, a small chuckle escaping there lips.

"I'll see you soon," Elijah spoke.

"I can't wait." Elena responded.

Bonnie and Rebekah followed behind them and they rushed upstairs; they entered her bedroom and her dressing table had been covered in make-up and hair styling tools, the dresses where hung up and covered so they where safe.

"Let's do this," Caroline spoke as she sat Elena on the chair in front of the mirror and stood behind her, she pushed her hair to the front of her body and it fell over her shoulders, "Let's start with hair."
