New Orleans

Elijah and Klaus had arrived, the majority of the flight had been spent making a plan on how they where going to kill Marcel for what he had done; Elijah was feeling overly emotional about leaving his pregnant wife behind so his contributions mostly consisted of storming the compound and massacring every single one of them, as much as Klaus loved a good blood bath, he disagreed and tried to appeal to his more logical side.

As soon as they stepped of the plane, he had sent Elena a text making her aware of there arrival and that he would call once they made it to the hotel.

They grabbed a taxi and drove slowly through the centre of the city, they needed as much recon as they could get; it was the evening time so there appeared to be a party on the streets, majority of it consisted of vampires and tourists.

"Well," Elijah paused for a long moment, his glance quickly catching a vampire down an alley feeding on a tourist, "this is lively."

"I'm going to kill Marcel when I find him," Klaus spoke through gritted teeth, this was not the young boy he once knew, his rage rising with every second that passed.

The taxi pulled up outside the hotel; they exited the car and grabbed there bags out of the booth, Elijah handed the driver a $50 and walked towards the entrance of the hotel. They checked in fairly quickly and placed there bags in the room, penthouse obviously, Klaus couldn't be subtle, he needed luxury.

Once they where settled, Elijah exited the room and went back down to the lobby; he stood out of sight and pulled his phone from his pocket, scrolling through to his contacts, he dialled Elena's.

Ring ring ring,

"I'm so happy to hear your voice, is everything okay?"

Elijah smiled as soon as her voice landed in his ears, "everything seems to be fine, my love, how are you?"

"I'm fine," she paused for a long moment, "missing you like crazy,"

"And I you," he tried to force the whirlwind of emotion that swept across him away, "we're at the hotel but we're leaving soon to track down Marcel."

"Please, be safe."

"Always," he spoke with the calmest voice he could muster at that current moment, "if anything happens, remember what I told you."

"I will, don't worry about me, keep your focus,"

"You're my anchor, Mrs. Mikaelson," he smiled at his words, still in disbelief that he was married to such an amazing woman.

"I'm an anything and everything you need me to be, mr. Mikaelson," she missed him so much, her heart ached.

"I better return to my brother, I want this over with," he spoke abruptly, saddened by the fact he was here in the first place, "I love you, Elena."

"Call me later?"

"Of course, I can't wait to hear your voice again."

"I love you."

The line went dead.

Elijah snapped his phone shut and tapped it on his forehead; he was regretting leaving her, his paternal instincts where screaming at him, telling him he was doing the right thing for his family but his heart spoke differently, he wanted to be right by her side through all this.

A few minutes later, Klaus had entered the lobby and was scanning the area for his brother; Elijah stepped forward and joined him.

"Plan is set," Klaus spoke, eager to begin, "you ready, brother?"

-w-

They had made there way back to the party; it was still as lively as earlier, they had split up earlier in attempt to locate Marcel quicker.

Elijah went to the first bar he could spot; upon entering, he was already enraged, the music was loud and the patrons where even louder. He walked to the bar and ordered a scotch before turning to scope the area, there where several vampires and a few more tourists, everyone was either drunk or high, neither of which Elijah responded to well too.

An hour had passed, he was sipping his 3rd whiskey and growing tired of the behaviour he was witnessed, he downed his whiskey in one and left the money on the bar, just as he was about to exit, he noticed one of the vampires leading a tourist outside.

"Perfect," he followed them out a few moments later, the human was drunk and unaware of the vampire was going to do to her; Elijah stayed low and distant as he kept on there track, they went into a quiet little alleyway, she was laughing, completely mesmerised by him, they kissed and laughed but it would all soon come to an end.

Just as he was about to feed from her, Elijah used his speed to appear next to him, his hand tightly grasping his throat, he turned his attention the girl standing before him, a lot of complete shock covering her facial expression, "leave, now."

Without a word, she ran.

"What do you want?" The vampire struggled to speak as he tried to remove Elijahs hand, only prompting him to grip tighter.

"That is simple," he smirked, "take me to Marcel and I'll let you live."

"No," he croaked, his voice wheezy, "never."

"Are you sure?" Elijah spoke amusingly, "I will kill you if you refuse me one more time."

The vampire was terrified, Elijah could see it; he feared death,it wouldn't take much to break him.

"If I do, he'll kill me."

"If you don't, I'll kill you" he squeezed his hand harder around his neck, his feet dangling from the ground, "and I give you my word that it will be slow and your suffering will be immense."

"Fine," after a few long moments, he reluctantly agreed; Elijah released him and he fell to the ground, he had his hand around his own neck as he coughed repeatedly.

"Let's go then," Elijah smirked as he gestured his hand towards the exit of the alleyway.

He pulled his phone from his jacket pocket once again and sent his brother a quick text: "meet me at the centre immediately, have a lead."

He tucked his phone back into his pocket as he followed the vampire; he was being slow, Elijah could sense his fear.

Klaus had arrived minutes later, causing the vampire to become startled at the sudden sight of him.

"He's taking me to Marcel," Elijah informed, "what have you been doing, brother?"

"Well," Klaus looked down for a moment and smirked, "I definitely got his attention."

Elijah just sighed deeply, not completely shocked that his brother had been up to no good, "what have you done now, Niklaus?"

"Let's just say there's officially more tourists than vampires," you could hear the amusement in his tone of voice, Elijah somewhat happy to hear that there will be suffering for Marcel.

A short while had passed before the vampire had lead them straight to Marcel.

"I'm not going any further," he spoke, before pointing straight to a large building ahead of them, "he's in there, the compound."

"Very well," Elijah nodded his head, satisfied that he had done his part, "you may leave."

As the vampire went to speed away, he got but 10 feet away before Elijah appeared in front of him and plunged his hand into his chest, pulling his heart from his chestand letting it drop to the floor; he returned to Klaus but didn't stop walking towards the entrance, "let's get this over with."

-w-

They weren't quiet and they definitely weren't aiming to be subtle.

They walked straight to the entrance, clocking at least two dozen vampires inside; maybe 10 vampires guarding the compound that they had already destroyed.

When they reached the entrance, there clothes where soaked with blood; Klaus had ripped the gate from there hinges and through it inside, both of them using the speed to enter.

Marcel was nowhere to be seen; vampires kept diving towards them but they where no match, they could barely get close enough to touch them before Elijah and Klaus had ripped them to pieces, they where lucky if they only removed there hearts.

There human blood bags where screaming at what they where witnessing and running from the scene as fast as they could.

"Enough!" The whole compound had come to an abrupt silence, the vampires had stopped attacking and stepped back.

Elijah turned his attention to the male standing on the floor above them, a smirk appearing on his lips, "ah, Marcel, glad you could join us."

Without another word, he was in front of him within a second, he had knocked him to the floor and pushed his foot against his throat. Klaus was now behind him.

"What where you thinking, Marcel?" Elijah was enraged and his patience was non-existent.

"I don't know what you're talking about," his voice harsh and wheezy.

Elijah used his speed to pick Marcel up from the ground and throw him over the railings; his back landing with a thud on the ground, he was by his side just as quick as his landing and grabbed him once more, throwing his body against the stone wall at the furthest point of the room.

"Don't lie to me," Elijah spat through gritted teeth, he picked Marcel up once more and forced him into the wall, his hand gripping his neck, "why did you send a vampire after my wife?

Marcel was silent which enraged him more; he bashed his head against the wall and lifted him higher, until he could barely get a breath in.

"Fine," he stared at Elijah, trying to find any means of escape, "let me go."

He reluctantly released Marcel and let his body drop onto the floor; he coughed and spat a fair amount of blood out of his mouth before pulling himself back onto his feet.

"A part human and part vampire baby?" Marcel questioned, his voice raised as much as it could muster, "how is that good for anyone?"

Just as Elijah went to attack once more, Klaus stepped in front of him and forced him to stop, "let's hear him out brother, then do with him as you please."

"Ah, Klaus, it's good to see you too," he spoke sarcastically.

"Get to the point," Klaus said, rage and impatience more than apparent in his voice.

"As you are probably aware, the witches of New Orleans work for me now and my strongest one looked into the future; she saw the most powerful being that ever stepped foot on this earth."

Elijah could see the concern strapped across his face but couldn't help but wonder what else this witch may have seen, before Elijah could speak, Klaus interjected, "I don't believe you, there will be nothing evil about this child, you fabricate these lies to save your own skin, pathetic."

"I'm not lying, Klaus, why would I?" He shook his head, "why would I send a vampire after the wife of an original vampire if I was lying? There was no benefit to my actions, only fear the thing that baby will become."

Elijah saw red, there was nothing but pure rage brewing inside him, "take me to this witch now!"

"Not a chance."

Elijah just inhaled a sharp breath, his glance flickering around the entire compound; he reached into the pocket in his pants and pulled the grenade that he had took from his brothers bag earlier, tossing it up and down, "if you don't tell me everything you know right now, this is only the start of what I'm going to do your precious city."

Without any hesitation, he pulled the pin and threw the grenade to the back of the room, he grabbed his brother and Marcel and sped outside; it happened so quick that no-one barely made it out alive before the whole place went up in flames, there was a loud explosion and a fire that stretched a mile high.

"No!" Marcel screamed out before dropping to his knees.

"This is just the start," Elijah stood in front of Marcel, watching as he broke down before him, "there isn't a soul in this city that's safe, so if I was you, I'd talk."
