It wasn't long before Elijah had found his way to the motel; he remained outside, walking around the entire building in attempt to learn how many enemies he had inside. There where several heartbeats, these would be the witches and after peering through a couple of windows, he had counted 8 vampires but still no sign of Elena.
He walked to the entrance of the motel, his hand pressed against the door as he pushed it open; no-one had attacked him, they must have received word from Marcel and became aware of his presence outside
He entered the building and looked around; a few minutes ago, this place was full of vampires but now there was none, he became cautious as he walked through but he did not care anymore.
"Elena?" he called through, his voice echoing through the halls, "Elena?"
Elena's heart began to race as she heard her name being called, she heard his voice and she ran straight to the door frantic; she banged on the door several times, tears escaping her eyes, "I'm in here."
Before she knew it, the door had been ripped from its hinges and thrown across the hall; she saw him standing there and her heart just melted, all she had wanted for the last 24 hours was for this to happen, too see his face and just know that everything was going to be okay.
"Oh my god, Elena," Elijah's eyes where filled with remorse, his facial expression suddenly riddled with guilt and pain; he pulled her straight into his arms and held onto her, "I'm never letting you go again, I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am."
Elena couldn't help but cry into his shoulder as she clung to him as tightly as she could, "I'm okay, I'm just so happy to see you."
"We need to get you out of here," he placed his forehead onto hers, his hands now cupping her face, "did they hurt you?"
"Elena?" she heard an all too familiar voice call out through the motel, "Elijah?"
"We're back here," Elijah responded, his brother immediately by there side.
"Elena, thank god," Klaus' voice was filled with relief when he laid eyes upon her, he was terrified at the thought of losing her, "I've never been so happy to see you."
Her heart warmed at the sight of him, tears streaming more down her face as she smiled kindly at them both but she shook her head and returned to the moment, "we really need to get out of here."
Elijah wrapped his arm around her waist and they instantly left, heading straight for the hotel.

Once they had arrived, Elena had just walked into the room and went straight for the sofa, she was exhausted; Elijah was still at her side and Klaus was on high alert.
She buried her head into Elijah, her emotions completely wrecked; for a moment back there, she thought she was going to die, all she could think about was there child, her hand hadn't once left her stomach.
"wait.." she spoke as she sat up, her gaze flickering from her stomach and back to Elijah, her anxiety at an all time high.
"What is it, my love?" he spoke, his concern apparent in his voice as he too stared between her and her bump.
"I need to know," her eyes began to well up at thought of anything being wrong, "I need you to listen, please tell me you can hear her heartbeat."
Elijah was quiet, he didn't know what to say; a part of him was scared to know, "Elena.."
"I can hear it…" Klaus spoke quietly as he turned his ear more towards Elena's stomach; he began walking closer towards her, mesmerised by the sound, "I can hear it."
"Thank god," an instant grin spread across her lips, Elijah rested his head against her stomach and felt the relief wash over him, "she's okay?"
"She's okay," Elijah said full of happiness, his head unmoved.
"She sounds strong," Klaus admitted, as he knelt down in front of her; he was nervous in approaching her but he couldn't help himself, he'd never felt as close to anyone as he did with Elena, "just like her mother."
"Thank you, Nik," just this once, she needed to hear it; she knew that she would never be as physically strong as all the vampires in her life but to know that she could be just as strong mentally, meant everything.
After a short while, Elena had calmed her nerves and was ready for anything the world could throw at her; the three of them where sat on the sofa still, she had ordered room service because the last 24 hours didn't allow for her to eat. Elijah and Klaus where dreading the night time.
"We had to make a deal with Marcel," Elijah began to catch her up, "after we blew up his home-"
"Wait, what?" Elena cut his sentence short, a gasp escaping her lips, "no wonder you both look like you've been in the trenches."
There clothes where soaked in blood and dirt, the material torn and scorched; they haven't yet had the chance to change.
"We had too make a stand, Elena, if we hadn't of done it then you may not have been returned safely," Klaus explained.
"I understand," she took a deep breath before continuing to eat, she was indulgence eating a plate of chicken wings a bowl full of fries, when cravings hit, they can't be ignored, "so, what else happened?"
Elijah and Klaus had continued to catch her up; informing her of the witches and there claims about the baby, also about Marcel and the cemetery tonight. They where both reluctant about her attending with them but she saw no other option. Bonnie, Caroline, Rebekah and the Salvatore's had returned to Mystic Falls once they knew Elena was safe, it was unnecessary to put there lives at risk also.
"The last time you went to handle something alone, I was knocked out and kidnapped," Elena spoke sternly, "at least this way we'll be together."
"We need a plan," Klaus interjected, "if you're coming with us then we need to guarantee your safety."
"No, Klaus," Elena stood from the sofa and began pacing up and down, "we don't, making plans and scheming is what gets us into trouble in the first place, you made a deal, we'll see these witches and make sure our family is safe."
"What if they make you stay? Are you going to give them your baby?" Klaus argued back, becoming frustrated at her words.
"Of course not," she raised her voice slightly, she too becoming mad, "We can't predict what's going too happen, if trouble starts, we get out of there and regroup, if you both keep killing everyone he loves then it will never end."
"You're impossible," he rolled his eyes, not caring much for her laidback approach to this.
"I'm impossible?" she repeated out of astonishment, "so what's you're great plan then? You hear something you don't like so you just kill them all?"
"Generally, yes," he spat.
"Enough," Elijah finally put there bickering to an end, "Elena is right, brother, we've always had the 'kill first, think later" attitude, maybe we should try it differently this time, I can't put Elena in anymore danger than she's already in and massacring everyone won't end well."
"Fine," Klaus looked between them both, "but when this all ends badly and all we did was run, I will be telling you 'I told you so'."
Elena and Elijah couldn't help but chuckle as they watched him storm out of the living room and into his bedroom, "maybe I should go check on him, I hate fighting with him."
"Your compassion is endearing, my love," Elijah cupped his hands around her face and placed a soft kiss on her lips, "but let him calm down, he'll be fine."

It was 10pm, the time was nearing to meet Marcel and the witches; they where all on edge, they didn't know what to expect from this. Elena hoped for everything to go well, she was concerned what the witches might find out about and her and her baby, she had so much trust and faith in herself and Elijah to know there baby won't be born or raised evil.
They had all left the hotel, they ordered a car from the main lobby and decided to drive there, Elijah didn't want to keep using his vampiric speed with Elena unless they absolutely had too, just incase of any adverse effects on her and the pregnancy.
"Where is it we're going?" Elena asked, breaking the silence.
"Lafayette cemetery," Elijah responded, "Marcel texted me the details about an hour ago."
"Do we know anything about the witches we're meeting?" She asked, full of concern.
"No, nothing," Elijah took Elena's hand in his, attempting to reassure her, "everything will be fine, no-one is coming to any harm tonight."
"Let's hope so," she shot a kind smile at Elijah; he brought her hand up to his lips and placed a quick kiss on the back of it, he too unable to control his worry and caution.
They arrived not long after, they pulled up too the main gates and parked; it was 10:55pm and there was no sign of Marcel, they all stepped out of the car and slammed the doors shut behind them, signalling there arrival.
Klaus opened the gates and scoped the area; there was still complete silence, Elijah was keeping Elena close as the 3 of them walked through, slowly and cautiously.
"Marcel?" Klaus called out, his voice echoing through the cemetery, "it's 11:03, I don't appreciate your tardiness."
"We're here, Klaus," Marcel appeared out of the shadows, a smirk plastered on his lips, "I'm glad you could all make it, happy to see you're alive, Elena."
"Don't speak to her," Elijah spoke firmly, trying to keep his noble and honourable demeanour about him, he didn't want Elena to see how monstrous he can be when he feels his family is being threatened.
"Enough of the small talk, take us to these witches and get it over with, I'm losing my patience Marcel," Klaus approached Marcel, "I won't have you drag this on for any longer than needed."
"Fine," Marcel gestured his hand towards a large crypt in the centre of the cemetery; Klaus looked back to Elijah and Elena, he nodded his head and they all moved forward, following Marcel.
"The french quarter coven is a powerful one, they draw power from there ancestors that are buried here, they have contact with the other side, they tend to know what they're talking about, so no games, we all want the same thing," Marcel spoke as they neared the entrance to the crypt.
"I doubt it," Elijah smirked, a hint of confusion in his tone of voice, "as a matter of fact, I don't know what it is you do want, Marcel, care to enlighten us."
"I just want to know what exactly your wife is growing in her stomach, just in case it wants to kill us all," Marcel grinned sarcastically; Elena felt Elijah tense up as he squeezed her hand a little tighter, she pulled him back slightly as she felt him more forward.
"Like Klaus said, let's just get this over," Elena spoke in order to ease the tension.
