We have better chances than first thought given her obedience. This is our chance to lure Subject Eleven back into the fold, where she should be. The boy suffers but truthfully his fate is irrelevant. All that matters is that Eleven accomplishes her tasks and returns to us where she belongs, then our plan can continue.

When at school, Jessica Myles did not so much walk as float, With her delicate chin tipped slightly upwards she moved purposefully but gracefully through the post-homeroom throng. The look of disdain on her pretty face was to remind the masses that she was their superior, even if she didn't necessarily feel like it at that moment. They were the ones who elevated her to this status, but she was the one who had to struggle daily to perpetuate the illusion. She floated, seemingly high on her own significance, weightless in the knowledge that she alone had the best hair, the best blouse and the best ass. That was how they saw her, what they expected, maybe needed even. Jessica just happened to be the one they'd elected to provide them with that.

'I swear, sometimes I just want to chuck the whole popularity thing.' She thought ruefully. 'But then again...having hordes of admirers has its advantages, so...I keep doing this.'

But today she had to work even harder as her mind wasn't fully in it. She was busy dealing with confusing stuff, insecurity and self-doubt. It all boiled down to Saturday, it had started off perfect and then got better, she had been with Eric, they had been cementing their relationship and it was so intense. True a part of her was hoping to use this even to offer Eric something that she was so sure would prevent Jane Hopper from stealing him from her. But that part of her had almost been forgotten in the intensity of the moment, so much more important had been the love and overwhelming emotions of the lovemaking.

But when Jane Hopper arrived and saw them, it had certainly been a shock to the system, a shock that Jessica quickly got over after Jane had fled. She had been eager to see it simply as a message suitably sent and went to get right back to it with Eric. But Eric had apparently thought differently, the image of him catapulting off the bed, getting dressed and rushing out after Jane was burned into her mind. Having had all Saturday night and all Sunday to mull it over and she couldn't fathom it, couldn't fathom why he left.

'That was Saturday, this is Monday...No call, no personal appearance. I mean what the hell, Eric?' She thought bitterly.

She desperately needed an outlet from this and she realized she wanted to come across Jane, right here in the corridor. That way she could form some big ugly scene to make herself look great and make Jane look even more pathetic than before. But no such luck, however she remembered that she had History first with Jane, that would work for her, smaller audience, but better acoustics. But even as she walked to class, it was hard to focus on creating such a scene. The images of Saturday kept filling her mind, threatening to bring up her breakfast, but she couldn't let it be seen; she had been elevated above these people, by those people themselves, but it was up to her to maintain it.

She mentally checked her expression, no frowning, no creases, she had to look distant, aloof, calm as always or else they might suspect. She lowered her eyelids slightly, pushed out her lower lip, sexy, sullen, unconcerned and floating.

'Christ this is getting old.'

It was just a routine by now and would happen again tomorrow, and the day after that and the day after that and so on. Entering History class she immediately spotted the unbrushed brunette curls of Jane Hopper, she almost laughed, the bitch had the nerve to show her face after Saturday. She sent her patented death glare towards the girl, but Jane didn't even blink, looking right through her.

Jess almost smirked. 'Oh this one's good...every other loser I've sent this look ditches all self-respect and begs for mercy...okay, good, but still pisses me off.'

She sat down primly and properly, setting her books on her desk, noting the TV and VCR set up, the video light blinking. That was good in her view at least, the state her mind was in, a video might be all she could handle. By now the rest of the class had formed and Jessica decided to just abandon her idea to make a scene, she found she wasn't in the mood for it anymore. Then the teacher arrived and with everything set up, he hit play and the video began.

El sat nervously, waiting, she had been on edge ever since arriving at school, watching the minutes tick by throughout homeroom. Now, in first period, she had got there first and set things up quickly. She now sat and waited for the video to begin. She wondered briefly how whoever sent the package would know she was doing this. But in the end she couldn't focus on it, she had to let things play out. All the same, she couldn't help but wonder who had sent the video, the ones who had taken Eric, what did they want.

One thing stood out to her. 'The note, they called me Eleven. They know my past...could it be, them…?'

If it was it would certainly answer her question as to how they'd know she did the task. But then she heard the door of the classroom open, this was after the students and teachers had arrived. She glanced back, ignoring Jessica as she did so. Her eyes widened as she spotted Mike, moving unobtrusively to the back of the room. Their eyes met and he nodded to her, she couldn't help but feel a burst of warmth in her chest. Mike wasn't even in this class and yet here he was, simply to support her.

She managed to give him a weak smile before focusing on the screen as the teacher, seemingly oblivious to Mike's presence, started the video. There was a burst of static before the video came into focus, it showed a darkened room, a window which showed the outside, confirming it to be in Hawkins. There were noises, strange almost growling noises, noises that were familiar to El as she watched the video pan the camera down. It was clear by now this was not the video that was planned to be shown to the class. But even the teacher was too stunned to move from their seat as the video showed two people in the bed, naked, a broad back, encircled from below by svelte ribbon like arms ending in delicate hands and graceful fingers. But with no clear view of either face. Then words began to be formed. The usual gasps and words from a couple having sex.

"Oh my...Oh…"

El's eyes widened, she knew that voice. She gripped the desk, this was not good. If it went as long as she feared then she knew she'd be making her own cameo in this video. She knew what this video was and what was happening. But she couldn't bring herself to move. The class had caught on and was laughing. El glanced out the corner of her eyes at Jessica, she had her eyebrow raised and seemed to be smirking lightly. Clearly she hadn't realized who the real star of this video was yet. But she knew, from the way the camera was still moving, it wouldn't be long.

The graceful fingers on the hands of the girl in the video clawed at the back of the boy, as they both spoke and as they did so, Jessica's expression fell, flickering through confusion, shock and then horror.

"Oh my God, Eric…"

"Jessica!"

Busted, finally the camera panned around to show the elegantly perspiring face of Jessica Myles, caught on video for the entire class to see as she had her sexual liaison with Eric, from only Saturday two days ago. Eyelids fluttering, perfect teeth clamped down on her lower lip. The class exploded with reaction at once, some shrieking, others gasping, some applauding and laughing. All while Jessica broke down in horror and covered her face as two of her minions loyally hurried to her side to comfort her.

"Someone eject it." One cried.

A classmate laughed. "No pun intended."

The teacher still seemed frozen, so Stacey took it upon herself to hurry up to the VCR, although not quick enough for some more action to take place, some more cries and gasps from the couple. But finally it was ejected and the teacher finally seemed to regain himself and flicked the lights on. By which point Jessica leapt up and fled from the classroom.

"Go and see she's alright." The teacher said to Stacey at once.

Stacey grabbed up Jessica's belongings and went after her.

El bit her lip. 'Jessica...nobody deserves that...nobody saw me put the video in, but...how to get rid of it without drawing suspicion…'

She knew right away that she had to discard that offending video, somehow, even as the teacher tried and failed to get the class' attention to focus on History again and Mike managed to stealthily slip out the classroom. El now had to wonder what she would have to do next, especially as the bell rang, indicating the end of class at last.
