I feel like I've stepped into some mirror universe. I'm ashamed to admit that when El told me what happened, part of me was happy, happy that she and Eric didn't end up confessing to each other after all. But then I reminded myself that El was hurting over it and it was terrible for me to take pleasure in something like that in the first place. Now it seems someone is after El and has kidnapping Eric to get to her. I honestly don't get it, my money is on those people from that lab that El told me about when I first discovered her powers being behind it, by why take Eric. I mean, it's clear from them sending that video and their precise instructions that they've got El under surveillance and are tracking her. Which would mean they knew her routine, what would happen at school today and that El would indeed be able to play that video. To send the video at the time they did as well, that had to factor into it, they knew El would need that much time to get the video to school and put it in the VCR without being seen. But why do this, if they're watching El so closely and they want her, why didn't they got for her directly, why endanger Eric Gibson, especially horrifying to me that they did so now I know he's diabetic. They're clearly willing to kill him to get to El, but why make her do all this. I would've thought they'd just try and kidnap her. Something about this stinks and I don't know what to make of it. One thing I do know, partially to make up for my shameful thinking before, I'm going to do everything I can to help El save Eric, no matter what.
