Chapter 1: Tikal

I remember you long ago before we even met

You may not have seen me

But I have seen you

Through the clear green shards of my prison

Your responsibility, The Master Emerald

I witnessed you growing from child to warrior guardian

I also find it so sad

That throughout your life, you're always alone

Unlike me and the eternally angry god of destruction

Kept in a giant jewel

To prevent the end of the world

However, one day, we were set free

Which is hard to say whether it's good or bad

Chaos, the angry beast is on the loose

And I must somehow stop him

That's where you, the last of echidnas come in

For you are determined to put things right too

There was no echidnas like you back in the past

They cared only about power

You are, however very different

So, I will help you find the broken shards of the emerald

Not just for the main purpose of trapping Chaos

But also for just being with you in spirit

Three times when you have three shards each

I show you the past as it was

So you could see me as I really am

And the reason why our mission is vital

One of these visions allow you to be in contact with me

That was at the burning shrine

Your concern for me shows that you do care for others

Among the finest qualities, everyone could ever have

In the end, Chaos's anger was nowhere

So our mission was over

I had to accompany my dear, friend Chaos

Back home, to the past

Where, the Master Emerald is a doorway to

Back one day, I would want to return

But for a different reason

And that reason is you.

Chapter 2: Knuckles

Being a loner never bothered me

But however, freedom did

I'm a 24/7 guardian of the Master Emerald

With no self-breaks or absence of duty

I could only see the world go by without any care

And this makes me agitated & jealous

Something I never thought possible occurred

When the mighty Master Emerald was shattered

Knowing my duty, A race against time was on

And that is when I met her

I was in the city of Station Square when I first met her

But it appears, she was a reddish-peach light orb

It seemed odd at first, when she led me to some emerald pieces

Why was this orb helping me?

Who was that?

These questions were answered quicker then I thought

When this little, floating ball of light took me somewhere

I've never been before

The past and the Echidna Empire

I've never any other echidnas in my lifetime ever

So this was weird, but two echidnas caught my attention

A chief and daughter arguing

The chief wanted war, but his child wanted peace

There was something special about her

I wanted to know more

And I got that, the more I collected emerald pieces

She gave two more visions of long ago

And the last one was both scary & disturbing

She layed down with the hapless bodies of Chao

I rushed to her and she saw me

Our eyes met for the first time

But there was no time for comfort and furthermore

She ran to the Master Emerald's blazing shrine

It spooked me, no question

Now, she is gone

Along with the beast, that was our enemy

But could it be possible for her to return

I hope so, because she's so kind & beautiful
