Whooves and Derpy were at their tent, glad to be together. Derpy looked and saw Zuud digging a grave for Cersei Lannister.
Vanto was at the hatch, helping Valance. Nurse Redheart had gone to take a break and Luna went to get some food. Vanto looked at the cyborg.
One of the bullets had hit Valance's skin that the metal had blocked. They had been able to get the bullet out though.
"Where is she?" Valance asked weakly.
Vanto looked at him, not hearing what he said."What?" He asked."I didn't-"
"Where is she?"
Vanto knew who he was talking about."You mean Luna. She's been watching over you for the past 24 hours straight. The only way I could get rid of her was to send her out to get some food for you."
"I love her." Valance whispered."I love her."
Vanto just looked at him.
Flashback.
"Sister?" Luna said, walking into her sister's room.
Lately, Luna had been very...distant from her sister. It was mostly because of their royal duties but Luna was feeling depressed. She wanted to talk to somepony.
She wanted to talk to her sister.
Luna looked in her sister's room to see that Celestia was not in there.
She must be at another meeting...again. She thought.
It annoyed her how most of the population of Equestria preferred her sister over Luna.
On the Island.
Luna, after finding the fruit, went back to the hatch.
"Hey." Luna said to Vanto as she put the food down.
"Hey." Vanto smiled at her.
"How is he?" Luna asked Vanto, hoping Valance was now okay.
"I don't know." Vanto looked at the cyborg."It'll help to get some food in him. You should get down to the beach for...for Cersei." Vanto told her.
"I was actually thinking that I should stay and watch Valance." Luna told Vanto.
"I'll stay with him." Vanto said.
"You should be there." Luna said to him.
Vanto looked at her for a long moment before he nodded."Keep him hydrated. Maybe mash up some of that fruit and see if you can get him to eat it. And everybody'll be at the beach, so don't forget the button."
Luna nodded."I got it."
"I'll be back in a couple of hours." Vanto said.
"Okay." Luna said before she looked at Valance.
Starstone was at the beach at the edge of the jungle, trying to set up her own tent.
She banged a stake into the ground as Sev walked over to her."Hey." She said to the clone.
"I'm going to go to the funeral." Sev told her.
Starstone was silent for a moment."I don't think I'm going to make it."
"I think most of them realize it was an accident, Starstone." Sev said.
Starstone said nothing.
Everyone but Starstone was at the funeral. They were going to bury Cersei in the sand.
Zuud was the first to pour dirt onto Cersei's grave.
Then, Vanto poured dirt onto the grave.
He thought of Cersei's brother, Jaime Lannister, who had also died on this Island.
Tarkin, Derpy, Jeela, went past the grave and put dirt into it.
Vanto then looked to see Tarkin go and talk to Count Dooku.
When Vanto had seen Tarkin on the Island, he thought that was impossible. But now, he was seeing Count Dooku, the leader of the Separatists, who had died years ago.
When Tarkin had first seen Dooku, he had been shocked.
Dooku had been surprised to see him as well.
Tarkin told him about what had happened to the Galaxy since Dooku had been killed in the Clone Wars.
"So it is true. Palpatine does rule the Galaxy." Dooku said to Tarkin.
He had sensed no deception from Starstone but he had wanted to make sure it was true. It was not too hard to believe though since his master had been playing both sides of the war.
Tarkin nodded."Yes. He does."
Luna looked at Valance, who was still unconscious.
She then noticed the cyborg start to whisper something.
"Valance?" She said."Are you awake?"
He kept whispering.
Luna got closer to him to hear what he was saying."What?" She asked.
Suddenly, Valance grabbed Luna by the throat, choking her.
Vanto, Tarkin, and Dooku walked into the hatch. Dooku was curious about what this place was.
They then heard the alarm for the button go off. They started running.
"It's the alarm." Tarkin said as they ran.
"Luna!" Vanto yelled."Luna!"
Tarkin ran over to the computer while Vanto ran to the room where Valance was. He saw the cyborg laying on the ground.
"Valance." Vanto said, going over to help him.
Dooku watched Tarkin type the numbers.
He put the numbers in quickly and the timer reset. The Grand Moff saw how confused Dooku was.
Tarkin went into the room where Vanto and Valance were. He helped Vanto lift Valance back onto the bed.
"What happened?" Tarkin asked Vanto.
"I don't know." Vanto told him.
"But you said-"
"I don't know, Tarkin!" Vanto snapped.
"Well, where's Luna?"
Luna was walking through the jungle. She had left the hatch after Valance had tried to choke her.
She then saw Tucker in the jungle.
"Hey, Luna." Tucker said to her."You missed the funeral."
"Yeah, uh, I was with Valance." Luna said as they walked.
"Oh, right. Well, a few of the new people went to the funeral. Not the one who killed Cersei. That would have been really awkward. But Caboose went to Church's funeral after he killed him with our own tank. Man, those guys must have had a hard time on the other side of the Island." Luna stopped walking."You haven't listened to a word I've said." Tucker said.
"I'm sorry. I...I've been thinking about things." Luna said."I wish to be alone right now."
She walked away.
Tucker went back to the beach. Vanto went over to him.
"Tucker, have you seen Luna?" Vanto asked the soldier.
"Yeah, I saw her in the jungle a little while ago. I think there's something bothering her." Tucker told Vanto.
"Do you know where she is now?"
"She's on the path heading back to the caves. Is everything okay?" Tucker asked him.
Vanto nodded."Yeah, Tucker. Everything's fine."
"Interesting." Whooves said as he looked around the hatch.
Applejack was looking at the metal strip on the ceiling of the hatch.
"Hey, Tarkin. What's with these metal doors?" Applejack asked the Grand Moff.
"They're blast doors." Tarkin told her.
"Blast doors?"
"They're meant to protect someone from an explosion" Tarkin explained.
"Did that guy, uh..." Applejack tried to remember the name of the man they had told her who had been down here.
"Desmond?"
"Desmond. Did he tell you what they were for?"
Tarkin shook his head."No. No, he didn't. But he did leave a movie and a radio."
"A movie?" Applejack asked.
"Yes. Would you like to see it?" Tarkin asked her.
The orange mare nodded.
"I would like to see it too." Said Sev."If you don't mind."
"I would like to see this film as well." Said Count Dooku.
Tarkin nodded."Okay."
Luna was just sitting on a wooden log in the jungle.
"Luna," Said Vanto, walking over to the alicorn when he found her."What are you doing out here? What happened in the hatch, Luna? Why did you leave? I come back, I find Valance just lying on the ground. You just took off-"
"Is he okay?" Luna asked him.
"Yes, Luna, he's fine."
Luna stood up.
"I'm sorry." She said.
"Are you?" Vanto asked.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I am not as perfect as you! I'm sorry that I'm not as good!" She yelled.
Vanto was surprised by this."Okay, what's going on with you?"
"Just forget it." She said. She was about to leave.
Vanto went in front of her to stop her from leaving."No, don't walk away from me."
"Leave me alone. Just..." Luna tried to walk past him.
Vanto stopped her."No. Luna." He grabbed her."Luna, Luna, Luna."
"Don't! I've got-" Luna started to cry.
Vanto hugged her."It's okay. It's okay." He said to her.
"Please, this place is crazy. It's just-I can't-it's driving me crazy."
"I know. It's okay. It's alright. It's alright." He assured her.
Suddenly, Luna kissed Vanto. The human and the alicorn looked at each other for a moment before Luna ran away from him.
"Luna!" Vanto yelled.
Tarkin, Applejack, Sev, Whooves, and Dooku were watching the film.
"From the moment the alarm sounds you will have 4 minutes to enter the code into the microcomputer processor induction into the program. When the alarm sounds, either you or your partner must input the code. It is highly recommended that you and your partner take alternating shifts. In this manner, you will stay as fresh and alert-" The film spliced."-utmost importance that when the alarm sounds the code be entered correctly, and in a timely fashion. Do not attempt to use the computer-" The film spliced again."-For anything."
Church smiled."Congratulations, until your replacements arrive, the future of the project is in your hands. On behalf of Ludvig Maxis, Cylo, and many others, thank you. Namaste. And good luck."
"Alright, so you've been pushing that button every 2 hours since you got down here?" Applejack asked.
Tarkin nodded."That's right."
"How does that even work?"
"I set up 2 person shifts. 6 hours. Everyone's on the roster." Tarkin told her.
"Don't they want to know why?"
"I think the film's pretty self-explanatory."
"Really? All ah heard was something about electro-magnets and an incident. What about all the missing pieces?"
"Oh, you mean the splices? Yeah, just a frame here and there, I think. Nothing important." Tarkin looked at Sev."What do you think about the film?"
Sev said nothing and left.
Luna was at Cersei's grave. She saw Zuud walk over to her.
"I'm sorry I missed Cersei's funeral." Luna said to her."I had to be with Valance so..."
"Why aren't you with him now?" Zuud asked her.
"I keep thinking about my past...I think I'm going crazy."
"I saw Applebloom in the jungle just before Cersei was shot." Zuud told her."Does that make me crazy?"
Tarkin was showing Applejack the computer.
"Why can't you just put the numbers in now?" Applejack asked. She was still getting used to all this kind of technology.
"It doesn't work that way. The alarm goes off at 4 minutes. You can't type anything until then." Tarkin pressed the keys and nothing happened on the computer.
"Do ya' mind if I check out some of this hardware?" Applejack asked him.
"Sure. Just don't break it." Tarkin told her.
Tarkin went into the kitchen and saw Sev sitting at the table.
"Hello." Tarkin said to the clone.
"Hello." The Clone Commando said to him. On the table, there was a book."I found this on the other side of the Island." Sev said, grabbing the book. He handed it to Tarkin.
Tarkin opened it and saw square had been cut out. Inside the square was a piece of film. Tarkin looked into the strip.
He saw frames of the man named Church.
Vanto was chopping wood with the ax when Stuhlinger walked over to him.
"Hey." Stuhlinger said to Vanto.
"What do you need, Stuhlinger?" Vanto asked.
"Nothing. Just taking a walk, thought I'd say hey. Who's taking care of Valance?"
"Derpy is." Vanto said.
"So, you're like, mad at him?" Stuhlinger asked.
Vanto laughed at that."Why would I be mad at Valance?"
"Maybe because he's the one that always comes down here and chops wood, and now you are? It's like, transference." Stuhlinger said.
"I'm not mad at anyone." Vanto told Stuhlinger.
Luna went back into the hatch and saw Derpy taking care of Valance.
"Where is Vanto?" Luna asked the cross-eyed mare.
"I don't know. He didn't come back." Derpy said.
Luna looked at Valance."Has he said anything?"
"Valance?" Derpy asked. She shook her head."No, he's still sleeping. Can you watch him?"
Luna was silent.
"I can stay with-"
"Yeah, I-I can." Luna said.
"Thanks." Derpy said before she left.
Eventually, Valance opened his eyes."I'm in a bunk bed?"
Luna nodded."Yeah, you're in a bunk-bed."
He looked around and saw that he was in a room.
"Are we saved?" He asked.
"No, Valance. Not yet." Luna told him.
"There we go." Tarkin said once he and Sev were done splicing the films together."What are the odds?"
"The odds?" Sev asked, curious what he meant.
Tarkin nodded."Yeah. I mean, think about it. Somebody made this film. Someone else cut this piece out. We wake up on two different sides of the Island. And now, here's the missing piece right back where it belongs. What are the odds?"
"Don't mistake coincidence for fate." Said Dooku. They looked at the Count.
Starstone was sitting on the beach, making sharp, pointy sticks. Vanto walked over to her, holding a bottle of liquor.
"Tequila and tonic, that's your drink, right?" Vanto asked, remembering what she had drunk at the bar.
"Where's the tonic?" Starstone asked him.
"We're running a little low on mixers."
"You sure you want to waste that on me?"
"Figured you could use a drink. I know I could."
"Are you going to try to convince me that everyone here doesn't hate me?"
"Only if you're going to try to convince me that every female in the multiverse is not crazy." Vanto said.
"When the alarm sounds, either you or your partner must input the code. It is highly recommended that you and your partner take alternating shifts. In this manner, you will stay as fresh and alert-" The film spliced."-utmost importance that when the alarm sounds the code be entered correctly, and in a timely fashion. Do not attempt to use the computer-" The film spliced again."-For anything else other than the entering of the code. This is its only function. The isolation that attends the duties associated with Station 3 may tempt you to try and utilize the computer for communication with the outside world. This is strictly forbidden. Attempting to use the computer in this manner will compromise the integrity of the project and, worse, could lead to another incident. I repeat, do not use the computer for anything other than entering the code."
Church smiled."Congratulations, until your replacements arrive, the future of the project is in your hands."
Tarkin turned it off.
Applejack, while looking at the hardware, heard a bing sound. She thought it was the alarm.
She saw that the timer was at 51:00. She heard the bing sound again. She looked at the computer and saw the word "Hello?".
Applejack typed "Hello?", surprised she could now type on the computer.
"Who is this?" The computer showed.
"This is Applejack." She typed into the computer."Who is this?"
There was nothing for a moment. And then, she saw a word.
"Sister?"
Applebloom?! Applejack thought.
