BGM: Dark Samus Approaching (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
"Let's move it people, move it! Moooove it!" Knuckles exclaimed, getting those in Menagerie on the ships as he was joined by Team Dark, Team Chaotix, the Meta Knights, Dedede, Star Fox, the Ace Ops and the Winter Ops.
On the Halberd, Team MAJC was watching the evacuation happening, although Mona was looking depressed as she was curled up into a ball. "All of my shinies… gone by this stupid blue poison…" She mumbled. "Every single valuable… all of them gone…"
"Mona…" Camrin knelt down and hugged her in comfort.
"What the hell are we gonna do about this…" Anthony said.
"Well, I do know some of the Atlas personnel is fighting the Phazon… so that should be good." Zoey said, watching some Atlesian soldiers shooting down the Grimm and the Heartless, not to mention the infected Koopa Troop. "I'm just glad my family's safe… along with all of you."
"What I do know is that we're gonna stay away from that as much as we can. I don't want my brother or anyone else risking their lives over this." Chloe said.
"You know…" Jen spoke up. "I've heard something through the Scroll grapevine. There was supposed to be a tournament but it got postponed because of this Phazon thing. There was also this big shiny trophy for the winning team."
"What kind of tournament?" Zoey asked.
"Soccer, I believe."
"Heh, well, I guess we know what our next job is once this is over." Anthony said. "I'm pretty sure Mona would love it."
"What's so great about it… that shiny trophy you mentioned is probably besmirched by that damn poison." Mona mumbled. "I don't think we'll ever get this poison under control…"
Camrin gently cupped Mona on the chin. "I think the most valuable shiny is our team… wouldn't you agree?"
Mona looked at him, her once defeated eyes gained a bit of sparkle in them. "Camrin…"
"We may not be sparkly on the outside, but on the inside? That's the real treasure right there."
"Y-yeah… you're right." She smiled and hugged him tightly. "You always know how to cheer me up…" She gently kissed him on the cheek before getting up, the usual dorky smile plastered on her face.
"That's our girl." Anthony chuckled.
"Alright, we got as much as we can!" Knuckles called out. "Get us out of here!"
The ships roared to life as the Atlesian personnel scrambled to get out of there as the ships lifted off the ground and flew away as they left Remnant's atmosphere as everyone would look back to see their beloved planet being overtaken by the Phazon.

Back at the Observatory, in the Bedroom Dome…
"Mmm…" Kokoro stretched, putting the song away for a bit as she decided to work on her semblance. She had just went into her Bulb Berry form that Palutena had secretly given her, but it wasn't much of a secret when Palutena had told her about it once Cardin cheered her up.
She closed her eyes, clapping her hands together after turning off the lights, concentrating as she attempted to channel the light particles to light up the room.
It was working… until images of those horrid creatures at Haunty Halls entered her head. "Agh! Nnngh!" She cried as she held on to her head before she fell on her hands and knees as tears swelled in her eyes. "Why do they keep coming back… no matter how hard I try, they just keep coming back… WHY?!" She broke down crying as the light particles disappeared. "Mom was right about me… I really am just a weak, cowardly and stupid little girl…"
"I wouldn't go that far."
Kokoro turned her head, seeing Ruby walking into the room, turning on the lights. "You're anything but that." She said as she could see the feared look in her eyes. "Huh? What are you-… oh, is it the Phazon on me?" She asked as Kokoro nodded. "Oh, don't worry about it. Dimentio was stupid." She waved it off. "Yeah, I look kinda scary but I'm still the same me!" She gave her a beaming smile.
"I… I see… that's reassuring…"
Ruby knelt down next to her. "Hey, cheer up… you're anything but those things that your mother put into your head. You're smart and you're brave. Look at you, you braved all those horrors in Haunty Halls and you're still standing. No one will fault you for feeling the way you do… it's quite commendable being able what you do despite all that. All of us are going through a rough time because of Dark Samus and Ridley, and we're all still standing… even you. Despite all this, you're writing songs for Sea5ons despite what happened earlier and heck, you put your life on the line to save Blake from that eel… you're braver than you think!"
"Ruby…" Kokoro looked at her. "You're… you're braver than I am."
"Oh? How so?"
"I mean… look at you. Despite what Dimentio did to you, you're still standing… and admittedly, you look freakishly cool with the Phazon stained on you. You… you're braver."
Ruby blushed. "You think I'm freakishly cool? Aww…" She giggled as she sat down. "Kokoro, let me tell you something… despite all the horrors I've faced with Dark Ruby and at one point, the Chaos Kin, I'm just as scared as you right now. I might have powered up and had Byleth calm me down with my fears, a part of me still fears Dark Ruby… I keep telling I'm past it but I guess there's a part of me that's still afraid of her. I mean, then again, when you can turn yourself into a Grimm, that can be pretty scary…"
"If I'm going to be alone… then maybe I should even the odds!"
"No…. No…! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"She pushed me to the edge and even ran away at one point, but I've learned to push through and keep going, and the one thing I can tell you, is to do the same and to keep moving forward. It might take some time but you'll get there, I can guarantee it."
"Ruby…" Kokoro gave her a light smile.
Ruby took Kokoro's hand. "Come on, let's get you out of here."
"Where… where are we going?"
"Outside. You could use some fresh air. Maybe think some happy thoughts." Ruby smiled as she took Kokoro outside as they stared off into space. "There it is, the big wide open space that leaves you lost in your thoughts all alone!"
"Whoa… I… I never really stopped to look at… how pretty it is."
Ruby smiled. "You gotta think about happy thoughts, Kokoron. That's what kept me going."
"Happy thoughts, huh?"
"Think for a second, Kokoron. What makes you happy?"
Meanwhile…
"…You gotta be shitting me." Samus said as she was looking at the screen with a deadpanned expression and her arms folded.
"Do you know anything about Aperture Science?" Polari asked.
"I might have heard it in passing but… didn't think anything of it." Samus said. "Adam, do you know anything about it?"
"I actually do know about it." Adam said as he walked up. "It's one of their branches in the military that's well known. It focuses on science and they were given the green light to expand onto a barren planet. As far as I know, they put their base of operations on a lush green planet. There were multiple scientists that went there… and two of them accompanied them. Survivors of K2L."
Samus gasped, turning to Adam. "What did you say?!"
"Survivors of K2L."
"Sur-survivors… l-like me?!" Samus said, her hand over her heart. "Wh-who were they?"
"I can't say for sure, it's been classified. Not to mention there was a horrific accident at the planet to the point where Bradley kept the whole accident locked up tight. Only he knows about the accident. No one knows what went on… even I don't know what happened. As far as I can tell… that planet is nothing more than a graveyard."
"I… I see…" Samus looked down. "Then… maybe we should move on. Are there any Power Stars there?"
"As far as I'm looking at it… I'm not picking up on anything." Polari said. "No power source, nothing… it's all empty."
Samus closed her eyes, trying her best to compose herself. "Right… then I guess we just have to move on. Any other galaxies nearby?" She asked, sounding completely dejected.
Rosalina looked at Samus sympathetically… before having an idea. "Why don't we go check that planet out?" She suggested as they turned to her. "Wouldn't hurt to explore for any possible Power Stars that could be in there."
Polari nodded. "Right. We are in space after all. We might be at war, but perhaps a little break from Ridley and Dark Samus would suffice… even though technically, they're working with the Galactic Federation."
Rosalina turned to Samus. "Get SPBRR ready. We're moving out."
"R-right." Samus nodded. "Thank you." She quietly mouthed as Rosalina smiled back before magically switching her outfit to her Zero Suit.
Unbeknownst to them, Futaba was staring at the screen. "Aperture…?!" She said, trying her best not to fangirl over this. I've played the hell out of Portal… I MUST go with them! She thought.
A few minutes later…
"Alright, we ready to go?" Samus asked as her team nodded as Pikachu jumped on her shoulder.
"We're ready to roll too!" Mustang said as his team came up.
"Good." Samus nodded. "Rundas, Ghor… should we need back up for whatever reason, I'll let you know."
"You got it." Rundas nodded.
"Don't have too much fun out there." Ghor said.
"Please, like I'd hog all the fun." Samus chuckled as they got into their ships, unaware that Futaba snuck aboard the Strike Team's ship as they flew off toward the planet.
As they were flying, Rosalina would see Samus looking a bit tense, as if she was about to burst into tears at any moment. "You… okay?" She asked.
Samus let out a sigh. "I thought I was the only survivor on K2L. No one could have survived Ridley's onslaught… I… I used to have a best friend back on K2L. Her name… was Chell. She was about two years older than me and… I remember seeing her right before Ridley's ship exploded. I tried looking for her after that and when I did… she was dead. There's no way anyone could have survived… and yet, I was the only one."
"Boop bop?" ROB spoke up.
"How was I supposed to know to check for a pulse? I was three."
"Boop…"
"Regardless… you really were close to her, huh?" Rosalina asked.
"Yeah, she was kinda like a big sister." Samus let out a small giggle. "So… when I heard there were other survivors on K2L, I… I just had some hope that Chell was there."
"I see…" Adam spoke up. "Forgive me for putting your hopes up."
"It's okay. I'm… keeping myself from hyping myself up just to be met with disappointment." She took a deep breath. "All we need to do is try to find a Power Star and… try not to keep my hopes up."
Blake reached out and put her hand on Samus's shoulder. "We're with you…"
"Pika!" Pikachu smiled.
"Yeah…" Samus nodded, taking a deep breath. Be still, my heart… She thought as they closed in on the planet.
Aperture Labs - SPBRR, Adam, Strike Team, Futaba
Meanwhile, inside the lab…
An elevator stopped at a floor as Chell walked out, Portal Gun in hand as she walked up the steps into the next testing chamber. As she rounded the corner, she would see a blue colored light bridge.
"These bridges are made from natural light that I pump in from the surface. If you rubbed your cheek on one, it would be like standing outside with the sun shining on your face. It would also set your hair on fire, so don't actually do it."
Chell rolled her eyes as she went right to work on the test, proceeding to shoot portals into the walls while guiding her way on the so called hair igniting bridge around the room, snagging a cube from a disposal chute and then worked her way back before placing it on the switch, opening the door.
"Excellent! You're a predator and these tests are your prey. Speaking of which, I was researching sharks for an upcoming test. Do you know who else murders people who are only trying to help them?"
Let me guess… you? Chell thought as she hopped into another elevator.
"Did you guess sharks? Because that's wrong. The correct answer is 'nobody'. Nobody but you is that pointlessly cruel."
Up on the surface…
The ships landed on the ground as SPBRR and the Strike Force walked out and saw the technologically advanced planet that they had stepped on. "Whoa… this feels very… cyberpunk-y." Blake said.
"I was thinking the same thing." Ed agreed.
"Wooooooow! This is so cool!" Futaba grinned as SPBRR turned to her in surprise.
"Oh yeah, she snuck into our ship. She wasn't really good at hiding." Olivier said.
"Come on, I wanted to see what it was like on this planet!" Futaba said innocently. Plus help you guys out should get stuck on certain tests… while trying not to spoil stuff, hopefully.
"Well, we might well have you along." Samus chuckled. "Now… where do we find the entrance to this place…"
"Boop… boop!" ROB moved forward while scanning the area. "Bop bop!"
"Looks like we found our entrance." Blake smiled as they walked after him.
Inside…
"Good news. I figured out what to do with all the money I save recycling your one roomful of air. When you die, I'm going to laminate your skeleton and pose you in the lobby. That way future generations of the Galactic Federation can learn from you how not to have your unfortunate bone structure."
Chell rolled her eyes again, ignoring GLaDOS's insulting snarkiness as she walked through the wreckage before coming across a malfunctioning door as it shut tight on her. "Perfect, the door's malfunctioning. I guess somebody's going to have to repair that too. No, don't get up. I'll be right back. Don't touch anything."
Chell shrugged it off and decided to lean on a wall, waiting patiently for another one of her morbid tests. "Hey!" A voice caught her attention as she looked up to see Wheatley through the glass. "Up here! I found some bird eggs up here. Just dropped 'em into the door mechanism. Shut it right down, I-" Suddenly a bird flew around him, attacking him. "AH! BIRD BIRD BIRD BIRD!" He yelled, disappearing from view while the bird chased after him, causing Chell to sweatdrop.
Wheatley then returned, seemingly out of breath… for some reason. "Okay. That's probably the bird, isn't it? That laid the eggs! Livid! Okay, look, the point is, we're gonna break out of here! Very soon, I promise, I promise! I just have to figure out how to break us out of here. …Here she comes! Keep testing! Remember: You never saw me-"
The bird came back, cawing at him. "AAAH! BIRD! BIRD! GET AWAY, YOU FEATHERED PARASITE!" He yelled as he took off with the bird chasing after him, then the door opened up.
"I went and spoke with the door mainframe. Let's just say he won't be… well, living anymore. Anyway, back to testing!"
With SPBRR and Co…
"Yeesh, this place has seen better days…" Ed said.
"I… think it's self… repairing?" Blake wondered, seeing some walls push away debris.
"…Self repairing walls, now I've seen everything." Rosalina said, trying to wrap her head around it while clutching her head. "How does that even-"
"Eaaasy now… save yourself the headache." Samus told her.
"I have to say, it's pretty interesting how it's repairing itself…" Mustang said.
"It's a bit spooky…" Al admitted.
"I gotta get me one of those!" Winry said.
"Girl, same!" Futaba grinned, the two high fiving each other as they continued to walk through the hallway… and then they heard cawing as they saw a bird fly away and Wheatley chased it out.
"Yeah that's right, you dumb bird! I'm more sophisticated than you!" Wheatley said before spotting the group. "Oh! Hello there!" Wheatley got closer. "What can I do for-"
BANG!
"OW!" Wheatley yelled as Riza shot him up. "Ow ow ooof! Yowch!" Wheatley hid behind a wall. "What the bloody heck was that for?!"
BGM: Funny Goings On (Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam)
"I thought you were attacking."
"Attacking?! Since when does "hello" equal shooting someone?!"
"Self defense."
"Self defense my monitor!"
"You have to forgive our friend, she's an itchy trigger finger." Roy said.
"Do not." Riza defended.
"You just shot the guy!"
"I didn't even know if he had weapons!"
"How can a floating eyeball have weapons?" Ed asked.
"Laser vision." Blake responded.
"Fair point."
"See? I was justified." Riza said, causing Mustang to sigh.
"Well, I don't have laser vision!" Wheatley pointed out. "Even if I did, I wouldn't recklessly do it on those I've just met! Sheesh!" He grumbled. "So uh… name's Wheatley. Nice to meet ya… who are you guys?"
One introduction later…
"Wait wait wait, hold up! You guys came from a space station and you came to see if there was something of interest here?"
"Pretty much." Blake said, all of them unaware that Futaba was close to exploding.
Must. Not. Fangirl. Keep it together… come on… you can do it! Futaba thought.
"Well, not much of interest here except for maybe a killer robot… but wait, if you're here, that means you can get us out of here for good! Oh blessed day, we are OUT OF HERE! Hallelujah!"
"We?" Samus asked.
"Yes! In fact, we're trying to get out of this bloody place. I'm gonna go tell her that company has come over and we are getting off this planet!" Wheatley said. "Feel free to look around, try not to antagonize the killer robot. We'll meet with you soon enough!" He took off.
"…Someone's alive." Adam said.
Chell…? No… don't get your hopes up… Samus thought.
"Well, let's see what we got in this… weird planet." Blake said.
"Weird being an understatement." Rosalina mumbled as they walked through.
With Chell…
BGM: I'm Different (Portal 2)
"This next test involves turrets. You remember them, right? They're the pale, spherical things that are full of bullets. Oh wait, that's you in five seconds. Good luck."
Chell walked to the first Turret, who had its back turned to her as she gave it a little kick that tipped it over. "Ooooow!" The turret cried as it fired rapidly before stopping. "Critical error…" It said, shutting down as Chell cheekily smiled as she walked through the passage and turned the corner, only to get shot at by another turret.
Chell quickly took cover, then had an idea as she shot a portal behid the turret and then at the wall behind her as she went through it and picked up the turret from behind. "Put me down!" It yelped as Chell got into position and aimed it at another turret.
"Deploying."
"Don't shoot!" The turret yelped as Chell threw it across the room while shooting the ceiling with a portal as the Turret fell on its side while Chell landed behind the turret and knocked it off.
"Wah!"
Chell smiled before running up the stairs and then finding a group of turrets ready to turn her into swiss cheese. She smirked. GLaDOS really thought she was this dumb? She fired a portal on the ceiling and dropped a cube on top of one, and then the other. She continued on and saw three turrets in the next room, all deployed and ready to shoot her.
She glanced over at a rock next to her as she picked it up and then threw it across the room, the turrets picking up on the movement as they fired at the rock, giving Chell the opportunity to knock all three down. One turret did shoot at her, but she slid underneath the bullets and got back up behind the turret.
"Uh oh…" The turret whimpered as Chell kicked it down, then she turned around, picked up the cube and placed it down on a button to open the door, then she walked through with a smug look on her face.
End BGM
SPBRR…
"I was wondering who landed on this planet… it seems we have more visitors willing to be test subjects."
"Who was that?" Armstrong wondered.
"GLaDOS." Futaba quietly said.
"Let's just say I'm someone who would be happy to see you. In caskets. Riddled with bullets."
Suddenly turrets popped up from the ground.
"Your first test is to not get hit by these bullets that are about to be sprayed on you. Hope you like swiss cheese, because that's what you'll be in the next few seconds."
The turrets started firing at them, but Rosalina would immediately set up a force field to protect them all as Riza, Samus and Blake would start firing back. "Pikachu!" Samus cued.
"Pika…CHUUUUUUUUUUU!" A massive Thunderbolt struck the Turrets, destroying them easily.
"Interesting… you have unnatural abilities. That's something we have never seen before in this facility. One moment. I need to make a test room that fits your needs."
"Yeah, good luck with that." Samus said as they walked off.
Chell…
Chell walked around a new area of the facility, seeing how things were made. "Sorry about that, I was keeping our uninvited guests… preoccupied."
Uninvited guests? Chell would immediately get a bit curious over what she meant by that. "Don't worry. I'm making sure they're perfectly fine. Anyway, to maintain a constant testing cycle, I simulate daylight at all hours and add adrenal vapor to your oxygen supply. So you may be confused about the passage of time. The point is, yesterday was your birthday. I thought you'd want to know."
Note to self: Find a camera and flip her off.
Chell rose up on the platform and found a simple test of putting a mirror cube into a laser and redirected said laser into three lights, though Chell had to use portals to get the last one lit up to activate the last light.
She turned around, but as she did, she would find a camera keeping an eye on her so she proceeded to flip her off and walked through the door and went into an elevator. "You know how I'm going to live forever, but you're going to be dead in sixty years? Well, I've been working on a belated birthday present for you. Weeeeell… more of a belated birthday medical procedure. Well. Technically, it's a medical EXPERIMENT. What's important is, it's a present."
Chell got out of the lift a floor later and walked out. "That jumpsuit you're wearing looks stupid. That's not me talking, it's right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here, a scientist has noted on you that it looks stupid. Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably-oh, wait, it's a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From K2L! …Oh, wait, it says here she died in a Space Pirate massacre. Fitting since you're the only survivor there."
Without even looking, Chell flipped off another camera while also destroying some turrets.
SPBRR…
The group walked into a large room, where they would notice platforms all around, and would see a few cat toys lying around.
"This test is for that girl with the obvious fake cat ears. This will test her supposed cat-like reflexes and see if she can actually land on her feet."
"Excuse me, but I'm actually a cat." Blake said, twitching her cat ears.
"Hah, and I'm Gordon Freeman. Let's just get to testing."
Blake rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say." She got a running start and started to jump on a wall, gracefully doing acrobatics against each wall before climbing on top of a platform, then she used Gambol Shroud to latch onto a hook and swing across toward another platform, but as she did so, there was a platform nearby that had a turret ready to fire. Blake's cat ears twitched as she landed on the ground as she swiftly turned around and deflected every bullet with her weapon before using her semblance to get away from the firing turret, landing on a light bridge and jumped over a gap before getting behind the turret and kicked it off the platform.
"Oooowwww!" The turret yelped as it fired rapidly before stopping. "Shutting down…"
Blake then stepped on the button nearby, raising platforms for the others although Rosalina simply teleported everyone toward the platform that Blake was on.
"Incredible. You actually completed that test. Your cat-like reflexes are sub-par, human."
Blake turned toward the camera and lightly pulled on her ears. "These aren't fake. They're real. And for the record, I'm not human. I'm a Faunus."
"A Faunus? Is that another term for a demi-human or half human?"
Blake scowled. "Don't call me a demi-human, bitch."
"Well, what would you like to be called so I can correctly call you that in the most condescending way possible?"
Blake rolled her eyes. "Forget it, arguing with you is like trying to pin gelatin to a tree." She walked off with her team.
Chell…
Chell walked into a lift and started to head down. "I'll bet you think I forgot about your surprise. I didn't. In fact, we're headed to your surprise right now. After all these years. I'm getting choked up just thinking about it."
However, Chell wasn't really listening to her. She was more curious about these surprise visitors that GLaDOS had slipped out. She wondered what that was about. She got out of the lift and made her way toward a dimly lit room… and then the lights went out.
"Initiating surprise in three… two… one." The lights came back on, revealing nothing but an empty room and a tube hanging from the ceiling. "I made it all up. Surprise." Confetti shot out of the tube while Chell just gave her an annoyed look. "Oh come on… if it makes you feel any better, your parents were murdered by Space Pirates, so I doubt their ghosts would want to see their murderer of a daughter anyway."
With a roll of the eyes, Chell went right to work on the test that was created for her, making bridges, snagging a cube that was thrown at her from an Aerial Faith Plate, burning a Turret alive from a laser manipulated by the mirror cube before the laser hit the switch, opening the door.
"I feel awful about that surprise. Tell you what, I'm going to contact your parents with this Ouija Board and see what they think of you. Ooooh great Ouija Board, do Chell's parents love her? W-E D-O N-O-T L-O-V-E H-E-R. Oh, that's sad. But impressive. Maybe they were occultists."
Chell walked into the lift and it started to descend, and then would see Wheatley descending with her. "Hey hey hey, great news! I found some people that'll help us out on getting off this planet! Yeah yeah, they came here for some reconaissance mission but besides that, they'll definitely help us get off this good for nothing planet!"
Chell looked intrigued, curious to know who they are. "I bet you're curious who they are. Well, for starters, this one lady had blonde hair and was wearing one heck of a sleek designed armor… I forget her name though. Saw-moose… Same-us? Agh, I'll ask for her name again… anyway, there's also this girl that I swear she's way into cats, I believe her name's Blake… which is odd because I always thought that was a male name. Anywho, there's this cosmic gal named Rosalina, a rat named Pikachu… there was this strike team, two robots and… this one girl that looked like she was about to pass out, I think. Futaba, I believe. Anyway, just hold on for five more chambers, I'll try to get them to you, I promise!"
Once a wall blocked them again, Chell was deep in thought. Saw-moose? Same-us? It almost sounded like…
"Hey Samus!"
"Hi Chell! Do you wanna come play at my house later?"
"Sure!"
Chell's eyes widened. Samus… She hadn't heard that name in a long time. Could… could she still be alive?
"SAMUS, LOOK OUT!"
…Of course not, there was no way Samus could still be alive. Virginia was viciously killed by that monster and then an explosion happened right after. There was no way Samus could have lived through that. A tear ran down her cheek… she deeply missed her, but didn't want to get her hopes up. There was no possible way Samus could have survived.
…Could she?
Chell shook her head, silently scolding herself for getting her hopes up. She was the only survivor from K2L at this point.
There was no way Samus could be alive.
SPBRR…
"This next test is for the blonde sharp shooter that shot at that metal ball earlier. Let's see if you can keep up with moving targets. And yes, the targets will fire back."
Riza cracked her neck. "Bring it on." She said, bringing out her two pistols, unaware of a wall opening up behind them.
"Psst!" Wheatley said as the others turned to them. "I'm gonna find a way to shut this place down. Then we can get out of here and shut this wench down for good."
"Do you have any ideas?" Blake asked.
"Well… are any of you hackers?"
Futaba's eyes lit up. "I'm a hacker!"
"Perfect. Follow me. I'll make a different path for you guys once this test is over." Wheatley whispered as Futaba went inside the walls with Wheatley.
Riza, meanwhile, was in a stand off with a turret, both of them daring each other to move. The other Turrets had been destroyed and there was only one left. The turret opened up and fired at Riza but she rolled out of the way and shot the Turret a ew times to destroy it. "Hmph." Riza blew smoke from the barrel of her gun.
"Well now. We might as well give you a cowboy hat the way you perfected that test. We need a catchphrase too. How about "It's High Noon"?"
"Pass. Not my style." Riza said as they walked off.
"Good point. The cowboy outfit doesn't suit your body anyway." Riza aimed her gun and fired at the camera without even looking. "Touchy."
Chell…
"I've got a surprise for you after this next test. Not a fake, tragic surprise like last time. A real surprise, with tragic consequences! And real confetti this time. The good stuff. Our last bag. Part of me's going to miss it, I guess but at the end of the day it was just taking up space."
Chell walked into the chamber, ready to go as she started firing portals to make the bridge connect as she walked through and then pressed a button, seeing a cube pop out of a chute. She walked over to get it… but then the power went off as she gracefully landed on the ground. What the heck just happened?
"What's going on? Who turned off the lights?"
"Hey, buddy!" Wheatley opened up a wall, catching Chell's attention. "I'm speaking in an accent that is beyond her range of hearing!"
"Look, metal ball, I CAN hear you."
"I told you it wouldn't work!" Futaba said.
"Well, I don't know how to speak… Japanese or whatever you said!"
Futaba sweatdropped. "Kotsu o tsukameba sore hodo muzukashiku wa arimasen!" (It's not that difficult when you get the hang of it!)
"I don't know what you said, lady!"
"Take a class or two." Futaba rolled her eyes as Chell walked in, curiously looking at her. Oh gosh! It's Chell up close! Crap, do I ask her for her autograph?!
"Chell, Futaba. Futaba, Chell. Now that we got to know each other… RUN!" Wheatley said as the three of them took off.
BGM: An Accent Beyond (Portal 2)
Chell and Futaba ran across the light bridge before making a hard left on the catwalk. "Come on! Come on! RUN! Come on, I'm closing the doors!" Wheatley said as they kept running along the catwalk while the girls were also checking out the scenery. "Okay, quick recap: We are escaping. That's what's happening now: We're escaping! So both of you are doing great, keep running!"
This is a rush… I love it! Futaba thought as they hopped down a ledge and kept running.
"Quick word about the future plans that I've got in store. We are going to shut down her turret product line, turn off the neurotoxin, and then confront her! Again, though, for the moment: RUN!"
"Honestly, I'd rather be corrupted by Phazon than have Neurotoxin enter my body!" Futaba said.
"Not sure what that is, but I agree with ya!"
"The irony is that you were almost at the last test." Walls opened up to reveal the last chamber, complete with a light bridge and a heart being drawn on the wall. "Here it is. Why don't you just do it? Trust me, it's an easier way out than whatever asinine plan your friends came up with."
"Oh, what? How stupid does she think we are?"
"Not happening, sister!" Futaba mocked as they ran the opposite direction where they landed on a cat walk after the light bridge deactivated, then they kept running along until Chell and Futaba found themselves trapped with turrets being deployed at them, however Chell shot a few portals and brought Futaba with her while bullets were being fired.
"Oh good, you two are alive. This way!" Wheatley took off as they ran up a few stairs and kept running until another Turret was deployed and fired at them, as the two ducked from the bullets being sprayed at them until they made it to a larger room… and the walls started to close in on them. "Hurry! She's bringing the whole place down! …Oh look, there are the others. HEEEEY!"
Samus would instantly see Chell as they were running away from the walls closing in on them. No way… she's alive?! She thought.
"Hah… hah… hey Samus! I found your friend!" Futaba exclaimed as Chell's eyes widened in surprise as they quickly made a hard turn and saw an elevator up ahead.
"Into the lift! Into the lift! HURRY!" Wheatley yelled as they all went inside and then it went up. "I'll meet you guys on the other side!" He called out to them as he disappeared while the walls smashed together.
End BGM
"Hah… holy crap… I do NOT want to do that again!" Ed panted.
"I'm with you…" Al said, sitting on his butt.
"Hah… hah… give me a sec… I haven't ran that hard in my life…" Futaba panted.
"It wasn't that bad… I've been through worse." Blake shrugged as she turned her head to see Samus and Chell stared at each other, then the former deactivated her armor.
BGM: Family (Super Mario Galaxy)
"After all these years…" Samus said as Chell couldn't believe her eyes. She nearly dropped the Portal Gun in shock as she put her hand over mouth, tears swelling in her eyes. "I… I thought I was the only one alive…" She said, her emotions getting the best of her as tears also swelled in her eyes. "Chell… it's really you…"
Chell didn't know what to say, instead she unequipped the Portal Gun and wrapped her arms around Samus, the latter returning the hug as both had their heads buried in the other's shoulder. "Aww…" Rosalina smiled.
"It's beautiful… simply poetic!" Armstrong said as tears shot out of his eyes. "It's enough to make a grown man cry!"'
"Oh, get a grip!" Olivier rolled her eyes, but she did at least smile at the reunion as the two pulled away, looking each other in the eyes and smiling at each other.
"I never thought I'd see you again…" Samus softly said as Chell picked up the Portal Gun, nodding at the bounty huntress with a smile before giving her another hug.
"Excuse me!" A voice called out as they saw a door halfway open where Wheatley was peeking out. "I hate to interrupt a reunion, but we gotta take down that wench!" He said as they nodded.
End BGM
"Hup!" Armstrong opened up the doors as they hopped down on a catwalk.
"There we go, at least she won't catch us here." Wheatley chuckled. "I see you two reunited… I didn't know you were friends at K2L. From what I've heard from GLaDOS, she was the only survivor."
"No, I survived too." Samus said. "…Strange though, she was always a chatterbox back at our home planet."
"Ah… well, the thing is…" Wheatley chuckled nervously. "She had defeated GLaDOS before, but there was an explosion that knocked her out for a while. From what Chell told me via notepad, she lost the ability to speak during her fight with GLaDOS. So I'm guessing… something must've happened that ruptured her voice box."
"What?! You… lost your voice?" Samus asked as Chell nodded. "Oh… I'm so sorry." She said as Chell waved it off, telling her with her eyes that it's not a big deal. "I… guess you're right."
"Well, on the bright side… at least we had a touching reunion." Blake smiled… and then suddenly, the lights went out.
"Augh! What's happening?!" Wheatley asked.
"Ed, did you hit something?" Winry glared.
"What makes you think I hit something?!"
"Don't worry, I got a light."
"MUSTANG, NO!"
With a snap of the fingers… there was an explosion nearby. "…Whoops."
"How many times do I have to tell you that your gloves can't conjure up fireballs like a torch?"
"Hey, if the magic users can do it, why can't I!"
"That's because you don't have Pyrokinesis!"
"I can try…"
"Well… I do have one solution, but it's bloody dangerous." Wheatley said. "Alright, here we go…" A flashlight came on. "AUGH!" He yelped but everyone looked at him weirdly. "…Oh for god's- they told me if I ever turned this flashlight on, I would DIE!" He said as they sweatdropped before walking along the pathway with Wheatley taking the lead. "They told me that about everything! I don't know why they even bothered to give me this stuff if they didn't want me usin' it. It's pointless. Mad!"
"That sounds familiar." Samus said.
"Indeed." Adam nodded as they hurried along the dark path as ROB provided more light for them.
"Wait, you have a flashlight installed in you?" Blake asked.
"Boop boop."
"Well, of course we never asked. We didn't know!"
"Bop beep!" ROB booped cheerfully as they came across a conveyor belt where they would walk across it and then as they continued on, Chell would open fire at some walls, making portals for them to safely walk across.
"I'm sorry… what? Did that gun just fire portals?" Blake asked as Chell let out a nod. "Whoa…"
"I gotta get me one of those." Samus said with a chuckle as they progressed through until they had to split up with Wheatley as the rail would take him somewhere else as the others hopped down on a tube while Armstrong helped down Winry and Futaba as they went through the next room where they would across some conveyor belts.
"I'm different…" A Turret said as the others ignored the turret… except for Futaba as she picked it up. "Yay! Thank you!"
Futaba giggled. "Like I would let you get destroyed." She said. "Hey Palutena, can you send this little guy back to my home? I could use a little roommate."
"Sure!" Palutena said as a heavenly light picked up the turret and sent it away.
"Weeee!"
Futaba giggled and would hop down on a catwalk, where she was a little behind the others.
"Template."
"Hello."
"Response."
"Hello!"
"Template."
"Hello."
"Response."
"Hey, how ya doin, HEY WHOA WHOA WHOA WAIT!" A defective turret was thrown into the incinerator.
"Template."
"Hello."
"Response."
"Bang bang bang!" The defective turret was thrown into the incinerator. "YOU CAN'T FIRE ME, I QUIT!" He yelled but Futaba would snatch him before it was thrown. "Oh thank goodness, you saved my bacon, pal. Where we going? Is this a jailbreak? I can't see a thing!"
"Heheheh, oh don't you worry~!" Futaba smiled as she happily hummed while walking over to the others.
"See that scanner out there? It's deciding which turrets to keep and to which one to toss… and it's using that master turret as a template. If we pull out that template turret, it'll shut down the whole production line." Wheatley explained.
"Sweet, so how do we get in there?" Ed asked.
"Well, I'm gonna have to hack open the door and-" A magical aura surrounded the door as it was magically thrown off its hinges. "AAAH!" Wheatley yelped as he turned to see Rosalina with her hand out.
"What?" Rosalina innocently shrugged.
"You're insane!" Wheatley exclaimed. "Now then, we just gotta take that turret off of that and then… we try to figure out how to-"
"Ahem!" Futaba walked in as they turned to her. "How about we use this defective one?"
"I'm not defective!" It defended as Chell pulled away the template as Futaba put the new one in.
"New template accepted."
"Ho ho, genius!" Wheatley said. "If we're lucky, she won't find out about her turrets are crap before it's too late. Heheh, classic. Alright, you keep an eye on the turret line, I'm gonna hack the door open."
"Template."
"Hello."
"Response."
"Hello!" The turret was sent flying. "Why?"
"Mwahahahaha!"
"Template."
"Hello."
"Response."
"Hello." It was sent flying. "Weeeee OH NO."
"I kinda feel bad for them, they're kinda cute." Blake said.
"Eh, what are you gonna do?" Samus shrugged.
"Pika." Pikachu nodded.
"Okay, I'm about to start hacking! It's a little more complicated than it looked on your side of the door. It should take about ten minutes. Keep an eye on the door!"
"Three… two… one…" Futaba counted as the door opened up.
"Ten minutes, huh?" Adam deadpanned.
"That was easy." Winry said as they walked through.
"This door's actually pretty complicated, but I'm pretty sure-"
"Yo." Samus spoke up.
"Aaah!" Wheatley yelped. "How long have you- how long has the door been open?"
"You opened it a few seconds ago." Futaba pointed out.
"I did? Huh! Go me!" Wheatley said as they walked away from the production line. "Alright, now… she can't use her turrets. So let's go and take care of that neurotoxin generator as well."
"NEURO WHAT NOW/PIKA/BOOP?!" Everyone but Futaba and Chell yelled.
"Yuuup! Neurotoxin. Good ol' Chell had a problem with that but she pulled through!" Wheatley said.
"…How are you even alive…" Samus said as Chell simply shrugged. She let out a chuckle. "Well, I guess you can say those from K2L are hard to kill!" She grinned, high fiving Chell.
"Neurotoxin… lovely. I'd rather be infected by an X-Parasite. At least it'd be quick." Blake mumbled.
"I'd rather deal with being corrupted by Phazon again. Sounds more pleasant than that." Samus said as Chell looked at the two with a raised eyebrow and a tilt of the head. "Long story."
"Surely absorbing energy from a supernova sounds more tolerable than neurotoxin…" Rosalina mumbled as they walked through a room.
"Ooof… the science fair. That did not go well." Wheatley said as they walked through. "It was a take your daughter to work day and some folks over at the Galactic Federation brought their kids over when the tragedy happened. Yeesh… of course, everyone thought it'd be grand if they all did potato batteries. Not exactly science but… it was something."
"Hey, what about this one? Looks like a volcano." Blake said.
"Ah, a baking soda volcano… truly not the most original idea yet it somehow manages to win first place every time. Meh… it's overrated." He said as they worked their way through until they came across a large room.
BGM: Almost at Fifty Percent (Portal 2)
"Ha! I knew we were going the right way!" Wheatley said as they came across a massive generator. "This is the neurotoxin generator. Bit bigger than I expected. Not going to just, you know, push it over. Have to apply some cleverness."
Samus smirked. "I got an idea." She said, activating her armor and locked on before firing a flurry of Storm Missiles at it.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US ALL?!" Wheatley yelled as the Storm Missiles hit the generator.
"Wait, hold up! Maybe if we try it at a higher elevation…" Futaba suggested.
"Good idea." Samus nodded as they ran up the stairs and then Samus started blasting the generator with Diffusion Missiles and Super Missiles.
"That's gonna take a while. Maybe if we can hack it." Wheatley said as he went through a door as Futaba accompanied him.
"Hmm…" Rosalina rubbed her chin and looked at the connectors holding the generators. "Ah!" She raised her arm up and fired energy waves at them, cutting through them all.
"Do you smell neurotoxin?" Wheatley called out. "…Wait, you cut through them all already?! Sweet! …Oh no, it's saying we're at 100% Neurotoxin!"
"No, it's saying its at 0%." Futaba said.
"Oh, whoops…" Wheatley said as they saw the generator starting to implode in on itself.
"Warning! Neurotoxin pressure has reached dangerously unlethal levels." They would witness the generator falling toward the ground shortly after.
"For the record, I've weakened the structure." Samus said.
"Suuuuure." Adam chuckled.
"Hey guys, the tube's open! We can go straight to her!" Wheatley said.
"The problem is… it's sucking everything up! Hurry!" Futaba exclaimed as they walked inside… and they were all sucked in.
End BGM
"Woooo! I can't believe we're actually doing this! We're gonna deactivate her and then make our way off of this planet!" Wheatley said as they were going along the tube. "WOOOO! I knew this would be fun. They told me it wasn't fun at all, and I BELIEVED them! Ah, I'm loving this. Whale of a time!"
"Glad someone's enjoying themselves." Al said.
"Hey, you have to admit, this is pretty fun!" Ed grinned.
"This place is huge! And we're only on the top layer! It goes down for miles!" Wheatley said excitedly.
"This totally beats rollercoasters!" Futaba grinned.
"We should be getting close. Oh, I can't wait to see the look on her face. No neurotoxin, no turrets… she'll never know what'll hit her!" Wheatley then flipped around. "Oooh… hold on now, I might have not thought this next part completely through." He said as they went through a crossroads and unfortunately for Wheatley, he was sucked into the other tube… and was joined by Mustang, Winry, Ed, Al, Olivier, ROB, Pikachu and Adam. "Ack!"
"Well, this is a problem!" Ed exclaimed.
"We're going the wrong way! Get to her, we'll find you!" Wheatley called out while Samus, Blake, Rosalina, Riza, Armstrong, Futaba and Chell wound up on the other side.
"Okay… we just lost half of us. That's nice." Samus mumbled.
"I'm sure they'll catch up." Futaba said.
"Yeah." Samus nodded as they walked up the stairs and through a hallway where they would see a bottomless pit, but would also see a white surface in the distance. Chell would immediately fire at the platform in the distance.
"So… is it any surface or just a white surface?" Rosalina wondered as Chell turned to her and pointed her thumb at the white wall. "A white surface, got it."
"…I think we need to fine tune that sooner or later." Samus suggested as Chell fired another portal as they hopped down and came across a door.
"GLaDOS Emergency Shutdown and cake dispensary. Keep unlocked."
"That's a trap." Blake said.
"Yeah, but… we got nowhere else to go. Might as well spring it." Futaba shrugged as they nodded as Chell tapped on the door as it fell on the ground.
BGM: Don't Do It (Portal 2)
The walls opened up. "I honestly, TRULY didn't believe you'd fall for that." The walls started to close in on them. "In fact, I devised a much more elaborate trap further ahead, for when you got through this easy one. If I'd known you'd let yourself get capture this easily, I would have dangled a turkey leg on a rope from a ceiling."
The floor opened up, forcing them to fall into a glass cage that looked all too familiar to Chell. "Well, it was nice catching up. Let's get to business." The glass cage started moving as the wall in front of them opened up, revealing GLaDOS herself.
The Queen of Sass - GLaDOS
That's her? The others besides Chell and Futaba thought.
Must… not… fangirl… holy crap, she's a lot more imposing than behind a computer screen! Futaba thought.
"I hope you brought something stronger than a portal gun this time." GLaDOS said, referring to Chell. "Otherwise, I'm afraid you're about to become the immediate past president of the Being Alive club, ha ha."
"Yeah, well, we have some stronger assets of our own." Samus said, aiming her arm cannon at her.
"That little peashooter doesn't scare me." GLaDOS mocked. "Seriously though, goodbye to all of you." She said as turrets were deployed to shoot them down… however, it was the defective turrets.
Click click click.
"It's my big chance!"
Click click click.
"…This is trouble." One of them said as the turret caught fire before exploding.
"Aaagh, not again!"
"Locked and loaded!"
Click click click.
"Aw, this ain't good…"
All of them exploded and cracking the glass. "That wasn't enough to shatter the glass?" Riza wondered.
"Oh… you were busy back there. Well, I suppose we could all sit in this room and glare at each other until most of us drops dead, but I have a better idea." A tube came out from behind her. "It's your old and new friend, deadly neurotoxin. If I were you, I'd take a deep breath. And hold it."
The tube smashed through a window but Chell just looked smug through it all as Wheatley came tumbling down along with the others. "Ow! Ooof! Gah! Yowch! Mmph! Yagh! Hello!" Wheatley dropped down and rolled while the others landed on top of each other.
"…I hate you so much." GLaDOS mumbled.
"Warning: Central Core is eighty percent corrupt."
"That's funny, I don't feel corrupt. In fact, I feel pretty good."
"Says every politician ever…" Futaba mumbled to herself.
"Alternate core detected."
"Oh! That's me they're talking about!" Wheatley said excitedly.
"To inititate a core transfer, please deposit substitute core in the receptacle."
"Core transfer? Oh, you are kidding me!" GLaDOS said in annoyance.
"I've got an idea! Someone do what it says and plug me in!" Wheatley said as Edward picked him up.
"Up you go!" Edward smiled.
"Do NOT plug that little idiot into MY mainframe… then again, it takes a small idiot to know one."
"HEY! WHO ARE YOU CALLING SMALL?!" Edward yelled before he planted Wheatley into it out of spite. "Hmph!"
"Substitute Core accepted. Substitute core, are you ready to start the procedure?"
"Yes!"
"Corrupted Core, are you ready to start the procedure?"
"No!"
"Ooooh, yes she is!" Wheatley said with a hint of smugness.
"No no no no no no!"
"Oh, just take it like a monitor." Blake said.
"Stalemate detected. Transfer procedure cannot continue."
"Yes!"
"PULL ME OUT PULL ME OUT PULL ME OUT PULL ME OUT PULL ME OUT-"
"…Unless a stalemate associate is present to press the stalemate resolution button."
"Leave me in, leave me in! One of you go press it!"
"Don't. Do it."
"Yes, do do it!"
"I'll give it a whirl." Samus said as she started to walk toward the button.
"Don't press that button. You don't know what you're doing." GLaDOS said as a floorboard catapulted Samus away. "Not so fast! Think about this. You need to be a trained stalemate associate to press that button. All of you are unqualifed."
"Over a button? It's simple as pressing it!" Edward pointed out.
"I don't see what the big deal is. It's just a button!" Blake said.
"Boop boop!" ROB agreed.
"It's not that simple. You have to go through some training and-" GLaDOS would see Rosalina teleporting to the button. "No!"
"I don't really see what the fuss is about. It's just a button!" Rosalina said as she pressed it.
"Augh!" GLaDOS yelped as she went limp.
End BGM
"Stalemate resolved."
"Unqualified to press a button, my galactic foot." Rosalina said as she teleported back.
"Here I goooo!" Wheatley said excitedly as Chell waved at him. "Oh, wait, what if this hurts? What if this really hurts? Ooooh, I didn't think of that."
Mmph! Should I tell them what happens next or not spoil anything? Gaaah, the woes of being a gamer girl! Futaba thought.
"Oh, it will… believe me, it will…"
"A-are you just saying that, or is it really going to hurt? You're just saying that, aren't you? No, you're not. It's going to hurt, isn't it?" The floor closed above him. "Exactly how painful are we tal-AUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!"
The floor underneath GLaDOS opened up as claws started to come up and grabbed GLaDOS. "Get your hands off me! No! STOP! NO! NO NO NO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
The sudden scream was enough to make everyone wince as Pikachu and Blake covered their ears… and then suddenly, GLaDOS's head was spat out and Wheatley was put on her mainframe, plus the whole room lit up.
"Wooooooooow! Check me out!" Wheatley exclaimed. "We did it! I'm in control of the whole facility now! Whoooa-ho-ho! Would you look at this! Not too bad, eh? Giant robot. Massive! It's not just me, I'm bloody massive, aren't I?"
Blake's ears twitched as did Pikachu's. Both of them shared a look… something didn't feel right. "Oh, right, the escape lift, I'll call it right up!"
"Someone's having too much fun." Winry chuckled.
"Heheh, true that." Wheatley said as the elevator came up… but no one seemed to want to go inside of it yet. "Look at how small you guys are down there. I can barely see you! Very tiny and insignificant. Er… no offense to the one with a Napoleon complex."
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING NAPOLEON?!" Ed yelled as Winry and Al had to restrain him. "HOW ABOUT YOU GET DOWN FROM THERE AND WE'LL SEE WHO'S NAPOLEON! LET ME AT YA!"
"My bad! I knew it would be this cool to be in charge of everything, but wow, this is cool!" Wheatley laughed as he started juggling random items. "Check this out, I'm a bloody genius now! Estás usando este software de traducción de forma incorrecta. Por favor, consulta el manual." (You're using this translation software incorrectly. Please, consult the manual.) "I don't even know what I just said, but I can find out! …Oh right, the lift, I already called it up for you."
"So… how are you going to get inside?" Samus asked.
"Oooh… I didn't think of that. But hey, I'm a genius! Maybe if I detach myself…? Eh, I'll figure it out." He said as they started to walk toward the lift.
BGM: I AM NOT A MORON! (Portal 2) (Start at 1:27)
"This body is amazing, seriously! I can't get over how you're all small down there, but I'm huge!" Wheatley turned around. "Heh… heheheh… hahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed maniacally, catching everyone's attention.
Aaaand there it is… Futaba thought.
"…Actually, why do we have to leave right now?" Wheatley disposed of the lift before everyone got in.
"Uh oh…" Adam said as they turned to him, Samus immediately started firing at Wheatley but he put up a wall to protect himself, and then claws grabbed a hold of everyone.
"Mmmph! Crap!" Blake grunted as another claw grabbed Samus's arm cannon to prevent her from shooting at him.
"Do you people have any idea how good this feels? I did this! Tiny little Wheatley did this!"
"You didn't do anything… they did all the work…" GLaDOS weakly said.
"Oh really! That's what you all think, is it? Well, maybe it's time I did something then!" A claw grabbed a hold of GLaDOS and started to drag her away.
"What are you doing?! No! NO! NO!"
"And don't think I'm not onto all of you too. You know what you are all? Selfish. I've done nothing but sacrifice to get us here. What have you sacrificed? NOTHING. Zero! All you've done is boss me around. Well, now who's the boss? Who's the boss?" Wheatley moved forward smugly at all of them. "It's me."
"The power is getting to your head! We gotta take him out!" Futaba exclaimed.
"Rrrgh! Easier said than done…" Mustang grumbled.
"If I can… break out of this claw! Rrrrgh! It's got a tight grip!" Armstrong grunted.
Ding!
"Ah!" Wheatley turned around as a claw came up with GLaDOS implanted on a potato. "See that? That is a potato battery. It's a toy… for children! And now, she lives in it!" Wheatley turned around to chuckle to himself.
"I know you…"
"…Sorry, heh uh… what?" Wheatley turned to her.
"The engineers tried everything to get me to… behave. To slow me down. Once, they even attached an Intelligence Dampening Sphere on me. It clung to my brain like a tumor, generating an endless stream of terrible ideas…"
"No! Not listening, not listening!"
"It was YOUR voice."
"No! No! You're lying! You're lying!"
"Yes, you're the tumor. You're not just a regular moron… you were DESIGNED to be a moron."
"Ouch." Blake winced.
Wheatley trembled with rage as the claw raised up and slammed into the ground, hard enough to make a large dent. "I AM NOT! A! MORON!"
"YES, YOU ARE! You're the moron they built to make me an idiot!"
"WELL HOW ABOUT NOW!" Wheatley slammed GLaDOS into the ground. "NOW WHO'S A MORON?! COULD A MORON…" The claw started punching the ground repeatedly. "CAVE! IN! THIS! FLOOR! AND! SEND! YOU! FALLING! HUH?! Could a moron do that?!"
The floor started to creak.
"…Uh oh." Wheatley said as the floor caved in and sent everyone falling into the pit. "Uh… whoops… eh, I can easily repair that."
End BGM
Down below, everyone was falling into the endless abyss. "Well, this is a fine how do ya do, isn't it!" Edward exclaimed.
"Obviously!" Winry said.
"Oh hi!" GLaDOS spoke up as they would see her falling with them. "So, how are you holding up? BECAUSE I'M A POTATO." There was some sarcastic clapping shortly after. "Oh good! My slow clap processor made it into this thing. So we have that."
"Of all the things that was saved…" Blake mumbled.
"Since it doesn't look like we're going anywhere… well, we are going somewhere. Alarmingly fast, actually. But since we're not busy other than that, here's a couple of facts. He's not just a regular moron. He's a product of the greatest minds of a generation working together with the express purpose of building the dumbest moron who ever lived… and you just put him in charge of the entire facility." More sarcastic clapping. "Good, they're still working."
"Well, it's not our fault! Rosie pressed the button!" Ed said.
"My fault?" Rosalina raised an eyebrow. "How exactly is this my fault? I don't recall shoving that sphere into that machine out of spite of being called small."
"She's got you there." Alphonse said.
"Yeah, but she wasn't exactly a trained stalemate button pressing professional! I seem to recall someone who can't get a grasp of technology!"
"Alright, break it up. Regardless of who's fault it is, arguing about it isn't getting us nowhere!" Mustang said.
"No no, please continue to fight. It's more entertaining to fall into this bottomless pit. Assuming it is bottomless. Hey, could someone grab me, hold on and be my cushion?"
"In your dreams!" Futaba said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
"Boop…" ROB scanned the area below him. "BOOP! BOOOOP!"
"Hard landing? This isn't good…" Samus said.
"Alright, that's it." Rosalina said as she teleported out of the claw and floated her way down as she clapped her hands together as magical bubbles appeared around them as they landed gently on the ground, Chell looking completely surprised by Rosalina's magical prowess. "Everyone alright?"
"Yeah, I've been through worse." Futaba said, dusting herself off as Samus walked over and helped Chell up.
"Ow! OW!" GLaDOS suddenly yelped as they turned to see a crow pecking her. "Stupid evil bird! OW!" She yelped as Riza fired at the bird to free GLaDOS. "Thank you… now can someone transfer me into a different body? I don't want to be bird food."
"Hmm…" Futaba rubbed her chin in thought as Samus glanced over at something that caught her attention and walked over. "Well, we do have two robots."
"Uh oh…" Adam said as he and ROB started to slightly panic.
"Hook me up to the big one. The small one looks useless."
"Who are you calling useless?!"
"Boop…" ROB whimpered as he tried to flee but Armstrong grabbed a hold of him.
"I got him!" Armstrong said as he walked over to Winry and Futaba who looked a little too gleeful, causing ROB's eyes to go green in a panic.
"BOOP! BOOP BOOP BOP BOP BEEP BOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!"
Samus, meanwhile, kept walking toward a statue that was all too familiar to her. "A Chozo statue?" She wondered as she saw it was holding an item. She shot it open as Chell looked over to see what she was doing as she picked the item up, seeing it absorb into her suit.
Portal Blast online!
Portal Blast: Fires like a regular shot, but once it hits any surface, a portal opens up. Charge it up to make the portal bigger!
"Oooh, I'm gonna love this…" Samus said as she turned to see Chell curiously looking at her. "Oh, armor upgrades, you know how it goes." She said as Chell tilted her head. "What? You never had an upgrade before?" Chell shook her head. "Well… I'm sure we can give you an upgrade." She said, patting her on the shoulder as Chell smiled at her, then the two best friends walked in to see Futaba and Winry finishing up.
"There, all finished!" Winry smiled.
"What's going on?" Samus asked.
"Let's just say… ROB has a new friend inside of him." Rosalina said as ROB's eyes went yellow.
"Huh! So this is how it feels to have arms for a change."
"…Oh dear." Samus grimaced.
"Boop boop…" ROB grumbled in annoyance.
"Hey, I don't like this either, pal. It's either a potato or your body."
"We'll make it up to you. I promise." Samus said.
"Boop…"
"So… where do we go?" Mustang wondered.
"Well… we just have to go up." Futaba said.
"Then let's climb our way up. A little exploration wouldn't hurt." Samus chuckled as they walked off, all of them curious to see what lies in the depths of Aperture Science.
Even though GLaDOS doesn't have a boss battle in Portal 2, she definitely deserves a boss title.
Ibuki: Yup yup!
Anyway, the Game Awards are in a few hours but uh... I don't personally care. It just drags on and it feels like it takes a week to finish up when it's really just a few hours. I'll just ignore it and play it by ear on Discord.
Also, apparently Hisuian Voltorb's now a thing. Cute.
