Hey guys. Here's the next chapter. So I changed the ending a little bit. For those of you who have read I took out the last few sentences. I will start the next chapter from where this one leaves off. Just to recap what we saw in the last few chapters, Amanda was saved from being abducted for a second time and she went to therapy. In this chapter Alex comes by for a visit and something very important happens. I hope y'all enjoy.

The next day there was a knock at the door. Olivia looked through The peephole and saw Alex on the other side. "Come on in," she said opening the door. "Thanks, you look exhausted," she said seeing the tiredness in her friend's eyes.
"Nightmares," she mouthed and the ADA just nodded. "Is she still sleeping with you?" "More like on top of me," the brunette corrected.
"She sleeps with her head on my chest and wakes up screaming begging me not to leave her most every night, sometimes 2 or 3 times a night," she said. "I'm considering moving in with her or having her move in here," she told the blonde who just raised an eyebrow in surprise. "She can't be away from me, Alex," she said and Alex looked around to see Amanda sitting on the couch with a glazed over look in her eyes. "Umm, Liv?" she said motioning towards the blonde and Olivia groaned when she followed her friends line of sight.
"And this, is why," she said walking over to her and knelt down in front of her. "Does she always do that," the ADA asked. "Only if I'm gone for more than a few minutes," she answered and placed a hand on the side of Amanda's face.
"I'm doing my best to make it to where she doesn't have to testify," she said as Olivia pulled Amanda into her lap, before sitting down on the couch as she kept up the comforting motion of softly stroking her face.
"She can't do it, Alex," the brunette said as her friend seemed to realize where she was and wrapped her small arms around Liv who began slowly rocking them from side to side while continuing her conversation with the blonde attorney.
"Can I ask her some questions," she asked and Liv thought for a moment before nodding. "You can try," she said before making eye contact with her friend. "Baby, Alex is here," she said, speaking softly and Amanda cuddled even closer to her. "It's ok, she just wants to help you," she continued and the blonde nodded but didn't look away from Olivia.
"Hey, Amanda," Alex whisspered, kneeling down in front of them. "I just want to ask you some questions," she continued.
"Is that alright," she asked and Amanda nodded. "stay with Liv," she signed and Alex just looked at the brunette, The question clear in her eyes. "Yes, sweetie," you can stay with me," she said. "All the time?" She signed and Olivia and Alex shared a knowing look. She was finally beginning to understand how much the other blonde needed her friend.
Her questions could wait.
This made her even more determined to be sure that she didn't have to testify.
Amanda needed to continue taking small steps In her recovery, and Alex would be damned if she would let all of that be undone by a trial, and another DA's pursuit of justice.
"Son of a bitch," Alex yelled a little while later as she furiously hung up the phone, making Olivia nearly jump out of her skin and Amanda grip her arm.
"Son of a bitch, Son of a bitch, son of a bitch," Amanda began repeating while scratching Olivia's arm and Liv sighed.
With Amanda's autism she often repeated words, scratched, hit or bit not only herself but others around her to get her point across or explain what she wanted.
Her boss had been working with her to use her words.
"Hey, stop that," the brunette said calmly. "No scratching, use your words," she continued and the blonde just looked at her.
"Son of a bitch, Alex, mad," she said rocking back and forth slightly.
"It's ok, baby," Liv cooed. "Hold on, I'm going to go see what that was all about," she continued and Amanda let go of her arm.
"What the hell, Alex," the detective exclaimed, walking into the kitchen. "Liv, it's bad," she whispered.
"What do you mean," she asked worriedly and the attorney just sighed. "I'm sorry," she said, and the detective just looked at her. "I couldn't stop it," she said. "Amanda will have to testify," she said.
