For the next hour they remained in the psychologists office. Dr. Sanders sighed as she glanced at Alex. "Miss cabot, I have no idea what the DA's office is thinking," she said with a shake of her head. "She can't go through this, just look at her," the blonde said motioning to Amanda who was curled up in Olivia's lap as Liv rocked her gently, talking quietly to her as Alex spoke to Dr. Sanders.

"I know," the woman said with a sigh. "its unfortunately not up to me," she continued. "What?" Alex yelled, before looking apologetic at the brunette. "Baby, shh," she whispered as Amanda began whimpering. "It's ok, Alex isn't mad at you, you're safe," she continued and the blonde relaxed slightly. "Stay with you?" She signed and Dr. Sanders looked at them. "What is she saying?" Alex sighed. "She is afraid you will take her away from Olivia," the attorney explained.

"I see," she said. "I have no plans to do that," she continued but Alex spoke up. "It doesn't matter to her," she explained. "To her, Olivia is safety, Olivia is her protecter," she continued. "She... keeps me safe from the bad man," Amanda finished quietly, shocking all 3 women in the room.

"I see," the therapist said, glancing at the 3 women. "Alex, does she trust you?" She asked. "Sort of," she answered. "It's not the same as she trusts Liv though."

"Amanda," she spoke softly and the blonde made eye contact before focusing her gaze back on her boss. "Can you tell me why you trust Dmiss Benson?" She asked and the blonde began signing rapidly.

The therapist just looked at her, the question clear in her eyes.

"She's saying it's because I am her boss and she has seen me with the victums in our line of work," Olivia translated. "To her, I represent safety."

"The therapist rubbed a hand over her face as she considered what to do next. "Alex, didn't you say you stayed with them last night?" She asked and the attorney nodded. She was hoping this would be brought up.

"I did, and after what I saw I don't think she can testify," she said confidently.

"She goes into a trance anytime detective Benson leaves her alone and her nightmares are horrific," she continued. "I see," Dr. Sanders responded. "There's also the regression," the attorney added and received a curious look from the psychologist. "Basicly, she acts younger mentally," Alex explained. "Oh, I see," she said. "Detective, do you think you can get her to sit in her own chair?" She asked and Olivia just shook her head. "She will pannic," the brunette answered. "I need to speak to you and Miss Cabot privately," she said and both Liv and Alex shared a nervous look.

"Alright," the brunette conceded and Alex knew this was not going to go well at all.

"Amanda, baby," she spoke quietly and the blonde looked at her. "Baby I need you to stay here for a minute," she continued. alex and I have to speak to Dr. Sanders privately," she said and the blonde began hyperventilating as tears began running down her face as she hugged her boss tightly while repeatedly signing no.

Baby, I need you to calm down," she tried but Amanda just kept signing no before going completely still and that glazed over look appeared in her eyes. Olivia side before placing her in the chair and following the other two women to the opposite side of the room, not once taking her eyes off of Amanda.

Dr. Sanders looked at the blonde and back at Olivia. "What happened?" She asked.

"Exactly what will happen if she has to testify," the brunette snapped. "She's catatonic," she said in a ssofter voice. "I will do my best to make sure she doesn't have to testify," the psychologist said and Alex and Liv just nodded. "When will she come out of that?" She asked and Liv just looked at her. It wasn't her falt, but the brunette was afraid of this. "I honestly don't know, it could be hours," she spoke and Dr. Sanders just sighed. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "I see now what Alex was trying to tell me," she said.

"It's ok," the brunette responded. "I'm sorry I snapped, but she can't do this," she said. "You saw what me trying to get her to stay by herself did, imagine if she's in the same room as the man who held her captive for a year," she continued.

"I know," the Dr. responded, gazing back at Amanda who still hadn't moved.

"I'll do what I can," she assured the two women. "Thank you," Alex told her shaking her hand.

"Yes thank you," Olivia added. "You guys can go," she said softly.

Olivia walked back over to Where Amanda was and tried to bring her back to her.

"Baby, are you ready to go home?" She asked but got no response.

After arriving home Olivia sat down on the couch with Amanda in her arms. "Baby, can you here me?" She asked but still got no response. "You're ok, sweetheart," she continued. "I promise." "We are home now."

She felt Amanda shift in her arms after about 20 minutes. "Hey sweetheart," she whispered. "Are you back with me?" She asked and the blonde just laid her head on Olivia's chest.

"Wanna stay with you," she whispered and the brunette sighed. "I know, baby, I know," she responded.

Alex walked into the room about 10 minutes later. "I just got a call from the DA's office," she said.

What do you think will happen? Will she have to go to court? That will be answered in the next chapter.
