Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait. In this chapter we find out whether or not Amanda has to testify and she talks to Liv about going back to work. Hope y'all enjoy.

About an hour later, Alex walked into the hospital room and smiled at the sight.

Olivia was lying in the hospital bed with Amanda resting comfortably on her chest.

"How is she?" The attorney asked.

"Better now," the brunette answered, running her fingers softly through her young detective's hair.

"Is that... aloud?" She asked nodding towards Olivia in the hospital bed with the blonde.

"Not really but they Understand," the detective said softly.

"Thank God," the attorney responded.

It broke her heart to see her being separated from Olivia, so much so that she persuaded the EMT's to let her friend hold Amanda on the way to the hospital.

"Is she speaking?" Alex asked and Olivia shook her head.

"She just signs or nodds to me," the brunette responded before she felt the wait on her chest shift and she looked down to see two blue eyes looking at her.

"Hey, sweet girl," she spoke tenderly as she felt Amanda's fingers grip her shirt.

"Livy." She signed smiling slightly at her boss.

"Home now?" She signed and the detective looked down at her.

"Not yet baby," she said. "The doctor needs to be sure the medicine worked.

"You mean I won't get upset again?" The blonde signed and Liv nodded.

"Yes, but you know, it's ok to be upset," she spoke softly.

"I get scared," the blonde signed and Olivia kissed her hair in response.

I know, baby and that's totally ok," she responded.

"I wanna trust other people, but you never hurt me," she continued and Olivia ran a hand tenderly over her cheek. "I never will," she said and one day you'll be able to trust again.

A few minutes later the doctor walked in smiling at them.

"Detective, can you sit here in this chair?" She asked. "I need to check her out," she continued and Liv rose from the bed but was stopped by Amanda. "Livy." She signed and her boss sighed before tilting her detective's chin up to meet her eyes.

"Baby it's ok," she said softly. "I'm just sitting in this chair, see?" She said indicating to the chair by Amanda's bed and the blonde nodded Reluctantly.

"So, Amanda, are you feeling any better?" The doctor asked and the blonde just nodded. "You seem a lot calmer now," she continued and Amanda nodded.

"Home?" She signed and the doctor just looked at Olivia.

"She wants to know if she can go home," the brunette translated.

"I don't see why not," she responded and Liv smiled.

"Court?" She signed and Liv shook her head.

"No, sweet girl," she answered.

"When the judge heard what happened she said you didn't have to testify," she explained and the blonde immediately slid off the bed and into Olivia's lap.

"Sorry," she mouthed to the docctor who just shruged it off with a wave of her hand. "It's totally alright, detective Benson," she said.

Once they got home Liv took a seat on the couch and watched as Amanda got her blanket and curled up next to her.

"Tired?" She asked and she just nodded. "Want to come back to work," she signed a few minutes later and Olivia raised her eyebrows in shock.

"Baby, I can't let you do that," she said gently and Amanda began to cry.

"I need you," she signed and Liv sighed sadly. "I'm right here, you have me," she said. "You're just not ready yet, baby," she continued. "Don't want to be alone," she signed as she cried harder.

"Shhh sweetheart, you're not, I'm here and you can still come in with me," she said hoping to sooth her.

"Ok," she signed before cuddling close to her protecter.

"Sleep, baby, I'll be here when you wake up," the brunette said and sighed in releef when she felt Amanda completely relax in her arms, before she drifted to sleep herself.
