Here's the next chapter. Sorry for the mess up with the chapter numbers. This is in fact chapter 22. I fixed the document so now the numbers on the last chapter match. To RachelHxxx I had a blast making Kim a good person and this chapter was so much fun to write. :)

"Kim what the hell are you doing?" Beth Anne yelled as Kim carefully knelt down beside the chair and began running her fingers softly through her sister's hair, making Amanda briefly look at her before continuing to chew softly on the pendant while cuddling against Olivia as Kim's fingers in her hair began making Amanda's eyes droop. "You're not taking Manda anywhere," Kim hissed in a low voice and her parents just glared while Olivia placed a calming hand on her shoulder.

"I want let them take her away from you, Olivia," Kim vowed and the brunette just smiled, feeling Amanda shift before sighing in content when she buried her face in her neck.

"That's it, baby, just go to sleep," Liv cooed as Kim continued running her hands softly through her sister's blonde locks and they both smiled when they felt Amanda's breathing even out, signaling she had finally fallen asleep.

With that accomplished, Kim immediately rose from the floor before angrily motioning for her parents to step into the kitchen with her.

Before she left though she turned back to Olivia, who was gently rocking in the rocking chair, as it seemed to help insure the blonde was indeed asleep and she smiled. "I know I haven't always been on the right path, but I'll be damned if I let these two assholes take Manda away from the only person besides me who has ever given a damn about her," she snapped before looking apologetic at Alex and Fin who had just been watching everything unfold.

"We understand," they responded in unison before Kim nodded and angrily went into the kitchen.

Liv sighed after the younger Rollins had exited the room before glancing at Alex and Fin.

"She loves her sister," the attorney finally spoke after a beat of silence and the other two nodded in agreement.

"She's changed, for the better," Liv said with a smile and glanced down to check on Amanda who now had her face buried in the brunette's chest, still sleeping soundly, pendant still in her mouth and the brunette carefully removed it.

"She almost bit through," Fin said as he looked at it and Liv nodded.

"Luckily I have spares," she responded.

W/Kim and her parents

"You're not doing it," she growled. "I won't let you take her away from the only person she trusts completely," she continued before her mother cut her off.

"Captain Benson babies her and lets her have those tantrums and she let her get kidnapped," Beth Anne started but Kim cut her off with a glare. "First off, she's autistic." "You've known that for years but you've chosen to ignore it, and second she didn't let her get kidnapped," she started, sighing when she spoke again, knowing this would sound as if Amanda was at fault but she knew Liv trusted her now.

"Mama, Captain Benson tried to put Manda on desk duty but she wasn't having it," she started and rolled her eyes when her mother began to speak once more. "That little brat never was one to listen," she said and Kim just let out a sigh.

"I'm telling you, if you continue this then I will make it to where Olivia can still see Manda, no matter where she is, and don't think I won't," she said with a smirk as they both just glared.

"It doesn't matter if she's with yall or not," she continued, "As long as I'm around Olivia Benson will always have a place in her life."

"Well, then maybe we should make it to where you can't see her either," Jim said smoothly and she just stared.

"How exactly is that supposed to work?" She asked before continuing and not waiting for an answer. "You see, I'm not the one who abused her," she started, smiling at the surprised looks on their faces.

"That's not—," Beth Anne started but Kim just gave them an icy glare.

This time she began speaking loud enough for the others to hear, but quiet enough it wouldn't disturb her sister who was sleeping soundly in her captains arms.

"Let me tell you how things were," she started.

"You both have known Manda was autistic for years and neither of you have given a damn."

"I was the one taking care of her after a meltdown and bandaging her head after she drew blood from banging it into the wall so hard because you didn't make her food how i told you, and you were the people who locked her in a closet when she wouldn't stop crying because you didn't know how to calm her so you beat her instead, and then put her in there," she continued before taking a deep breath.

"She loved her sister and the year she was missing was extremely hard on her .

Seeing her sister with Olivia had let her know Amanda was right where she needed to be.

"Think about this for a second," she began.

"You leave home, join the police department where you are raped by your commanding officer so you transfer and begin working with someone you absolutely look up to."

"One day You are kidnapped and held captive for a year, beaten, raped and traumatized, never knowing if you will be found and then you are finally reunited with your friend, your mentor and boss who you trust with your life because of how she is with the victims," she started but continued before they could say anything.

"You're found and you get to go home, but y're so scared of being taken back to the monster who hurt you, but you finally start to feel safe and then your abusive parents decide they want to take you with them without any regards to your feelings or without knowing your abductor almost took you away from the person you trust the most for a second time and this is your worst fear, being taken away." "Just think about that," she yells.

"So it comes down to this," she said.

"I refuse to let you take her away from Olivia." "Olivia does everything you refused to do and everything I couldn't always do because of my mental health, and most importantly she has never let Manda down."

"She holds her at night when she is scared to sleep because she is so afraid of waking up in that basement and never seeing Olivia again, she gives her food which is something neither you or that monster did, she's shown her she can be herself without being judged, lets her have a warm shower and not to the point she's screaming in pain because the water is so hot it's burning her skin and most of all she loves her," she said. "If you don't have anything to say you can now get the hell out, unless you want to tell me why everything i just said isn't true," she growled, leaving everyone speechless.

Olivia, Fin and Alex were stunned by the words that had just come out of Kim Rollin's mouth.

Amanda had woken up and was looking at Olivia with wide eyes, wondering when she could see Kim.

"Hold on, baby," she said. "She's talking to mama right now," she continued and she was stunned when Amanda ran into the kitchen and frowned as she saw her throw herself at her mom.

"Mama," Amanda shrieked happily but Beth Anne just sighed.

"Hey, Manda, come here," Kim said, knowing what her mom was fixing to do and sighing in relief when she saw Olivia had followed her sister.

"Go to your sister, she will baby you," Beth Anne said and Amanda began crying once more, beginning to reach for her as Kim scooped her up.

"Mama," she wailed, just wanting Beth Anne to hold her, despite all the horrible things she had done.

"Mama," she cried louder and Kim just gave her mom a glare. "Liv," Amanda shrieked, knowing deep down who she could truly count on and the brunette immediately took her from Kim's arms but stood close enough for the younger blonde to help calm her.

"Want mama," she sobbed, burying her face in Liv's neck and she looked over to see Kim fighting back tears.

Turning to the Rollins Olivia spoke in a low voice.

"You heard Kim, get the hell out."

"Fine," they conceited before leaving the apartment.

This did not sit well with Amanda however and she began trying to get out of Liv's hold and follow them.

"Mama," she screamed as she watched them walk out the door and it was all Liv could do not to lose it right there.

Taking a dee breath she began trying to calm Amanda down.

"Baby, shh, you're ok," she said, beginning to slowly rock her as Kim began running her fingers through her hair once more.

"Mama doesn't want me," she cried, gripping a handful of the brunette's t-shirt tightly and she looked over to see both Fin and Alex were unable to hold back their tears and were crying silently.

"Baby, listen to me," she started and the blonde nodded but didn't let go of Olivia, terrified she'd leave her too.

"I'm so sorry she treated you like that, but I want you to know I'm not going anywhere," she cooed.

"I'll always be here for you and so will Kim," she continued, making eye contact with Kim who wasn't even trying to hide her tears.

"Liv's right, Manda," Kim whispered kneeling down beside the chair and making Amanda look at her.

"R-really?" She stuttered and Kim just nodded.

"Do... Do... Do you love mama?" She asked and her sister took a deep breath before responding. "Yeah, Manda, I do," she said softly and continued in a much softer voice.

"I love mama, but she's not good to you, not like Liv," she said and Amanda began playing with the brunette's thick locks making her smile.

"Liv lets me shower," she said happily and all 3 of them had to do their very best to hold in the tears threatening to fall at Amanda's simple statement.

"I know, sweetie," Alex spoke for the first time and Amanda turned in Liv's lap to look at them.

"That's how it should be, baby girl," Fin said and the others nodded. "Kim," Amanda said and she looked at her, waiting for her to continue.

"No hot water, warm but it doesn't burn, Liv checks the temperature for me every night," she said softly and Kim just hugged her.

"I know, baby," she said and Amanda returned the embrace. "Liv is good," Amanda said, hugging the brunette who gently hugged her back.

"I'm sorry for just showing up, but I knew what they were gonna do," Kim said after a bit of silence and Olivia just shrugged it off with a wave of her hand.

"It's quite alright, Kim," she said. "I'm glad you were here."

"Me too, Olivia," she said softly glancing over at her sister who was just silently leaning against Olivia and glancing towards the door-every now and again, hoping her mom would come back as tears occasionally leaked from her blue eyes.

"Hey, baby, look at me," she whispered and the blonde did so after a few seconds.

"Your mom's not coming back, my love," she said as gently as she could and her heart broke at the tears that immediately began making their way down her face.

"You leaving too?" She asked in a small voice and the brunette pulled her closer in response and carefully got the blonde into her favorite position on her chest.

"I'll never leave you Amanda, not if I can help it," she answered quietly after a few minutes of silence andAmanda just continued crying until she had cried herself to sleep in Olivia's arms. Olivia returned from putting Amanda in bed a few minutes later and looked at the others.

"This was awful," Alex finally spoke and the others just nodded.

"She doesn't understand." "She's always had difficulty with that," Kim said and Olivia gave her an understanding look.

"She's a good person." "Her autism just makes it harder for her to understand things," Kim continued.

"Mama never got that."

It had been one hell of a day, and the three of them knew it wasn't going to be easy but they were going to be there for Amanda the best way they could.
