Hi everyone. Here's the next chapter. A little shorter than the others but I wanted to get this out for you guys. I just had to go back to Amanda's regression since I haven't written about that in a while and I've been more focused on the autism. I hope y'all enjoy and I hope to have the next chapter up very soon.
The next few weeks continued much the same. Amanda's abductor continued to terrorize her from a distance, which in turn would cause her to regress.
Currently Olivia was sitting on the floor in her office, Amanda happily playing in front of her.
She was worried about her detective's mental health. Her abductor would either call or send things.
He had started out callingAmanda's cell phone but then he had moved on to the home phone in their apartment. This had not gone over well with the blonde. She had become more afraid and was convinced he was getting out and was coming for her.
She wasn't sleeping. When she wasn't regressed, she was walking around the apartment and stimming. This In turn, kept Olivia awake, and because of that she was short with the blonde sometimes.
She was brought out of her thoughts by a giggle. Looking up, she saw Amanda attempting to climb her filing cabinet.
"Amanda, sweetheart, you can't climb up there," she said gently, walking over and lifting the blonde into her arms.
"LiLi," she shrieked happily and the brunette smiled slightly at the pronunciation of her name. "Baby, do you understand?" She asked and the blonde nodded cuddling into her, beginning to play with her thick dark hair.
"Livy, will the bad man get me back?" Amanda asked later as the two drove home and the brunette swallowed the emotion building in her throat before responding.
"No, baby, he won't," she said softly turning to look at the blonde in the seat beside her. "P-promise?" She stuttered and her captain nodded seriously.
"I promise, baby." "He's in jail, and he's gonna be there for a long time."
Arriving home, they immediately new something was wrong. Their apartment had been broken in to and there was a message on the answering machine.
"Well if I can't have you, I guess I'll have to go after your Livy." "It's just a matter of time before I have her, and then what will you do, Amanda?" Came the chilling voice from the machine and the blonde began shivering as her hands gripped Olivia's jacket.
"N-no, Livy," she whined and the brunette squatted down in front of her and held Amanda's shaking hands in her own. "Sweetheart, listen to me," she whispered.
"Here is what we are going to do." "First I'm going to call Fin and Kat and then we are staying at a hotel for the night," she continued as She lead Amanda out of the apartment, her concern rapidly increasing as the blonde began shaking more violently.
Pulling her phone from her pocket she quickly diled Fin, all while continuing to hold Amanda close to her and trying to block out her whimpers and cries, knowing she couldn't lose it right now.
"Shh honey, we are ok," she cooed gently into Amanda's ear. "Fin, we have a problem," she said as he answered the phone.
"N-not safe," Amanda whined and Liv shushed her quietly.
"Yeah, Fin, I'm here," she said, stroking Amanda's blonde hair softly while continuing her conversation with him.
"We got home and -" "Livy," Amanda whined, clutching the brunette's jacket and Liv sighed. "Honey, I'll hold you in just one second, shh," she whispered, kissing the top of her head.
"Liv?" "What the hell?" Fin's voice rang through the phone and she sighed, her patience running thin.
"Just get over here." "Someone broke into our place and there's a message on the machine," she said quickly, needing to comfort Amanda at that moment. "Ok, I'll be right there," he said and-hung up.
"Amanda, honey?" She said, speaking softly but Amanda didn't say a word. Instead silent tears just made their way down her cheeks.
"Sweetheart, I'm so sorry," she began, reaching out for her friend who flinched away before realizing who was touching her.
"Livy!" She cried, reaching for her boss who pulled her close. "Shhh baby, I'm here and I'm so sorry," she said once more as the blonde clutched onto her like a lifeline.
"Not safe, apartment not safe," she shrieked and Olivia just held her closer. "Baby, we are gonna be just fine."
"Fin is coming and we are staying with Kim, and Alex will be coming over too," she decided, knowing having Kim and Alex around would do Amanda a world of good.
"Would you like that?" She asked gently and Amanda nodded with a slight smile. "We will also get you into a warm bath," she said and at the
mention of a bath the blonde's eyes lit up happily. That innocent look crossed her face and liv wondered if she would have a baby on her hands once more.
"Play?" She asked with a giggle and Liv just grinned, knowing what she meant.
"We will see, sweetie," she responded, grinning slightly once more.
Once Fin arrived and looked around he suggested they pack some things and stay at a hotel while they checked for cameras and bugs, afraid there may be listening devices inside the apartment.
"We are staying with Kim," Olivia said, hanging up her phone and looking at the two.
A while later they arrived at Kim's place and she immediately lead them into the living room where Alex was already waiting.
"Hey, guys," Alex said and Amanda went and hugged the blonde attorney who gently hugged her back.
"Someone broke in to our place," she whispered and Alex just held her closer when she felt her begin to shake. "I know, but you know what?" She asked and Amanda shook her head.
"Everything will be just fine," she said. "He's not getting out of prison, and there's a good chance he's got someone on the outside doing this," she continued and Amanda began to relax.
"Thank you for letting us stay here, Kim, Olivia said as they stood on the other side of the room talking quietly as they watched Alex and Amanda.
"Liv, it's no problem," Kim said immediately. "Yall are welcome here anytime," she continued.
"I know Manda will -" Suddenly a squeal caught their attention and they looked towards Amanda and Alex, who was trying to contain her laughter.
"Someone got very excited when I brought up bath time," she said and Olivia let out a groan, but there was a smile slowly stretching across her face none the less.
"Yeah, she loves it." "I usually look like I've gotten in the tub with her when it's all said and done," she continued, and Alex and Kim just shook their heads while Amanda began giggling uncontrollably.
"Alright, you, let's get you ready for bed," the brunette said after a few minutes as she lifted the blonde into her arms and headed towards the bathroom.
A few minutes later, Alex looked over at Kim. "So I have to see bath time," she said and Kim nodded in agreement. They had been hearing Amanda's shrieks and giggles as well as the splashing of water for the last 10 minutes and finally their curiosity got the best of them.
Entering the slightly open bathroom door, it was all they could do to not burst into laughter themselves. Amanda and Olivia were flinging water at one another and the brunette's clothes were once again soaked.
Their attempts to remain quiet went out the window when Amanda picked up the wash cloth and tossed it at the brunette, giggling once more as the cloth landed on Olivia's head.
"Seriously?" Alex asked, shaking with barely suppressed laughter, making Amanda laugh even harder.
"Livy," Amanda said as her giggles increased when she saw the brunette's clothes and Liv just smiled fondly. "Look at the floor, honey," she said and Amanda began giggling once more and Liv kissed the top of her head in response.
"Manda always loved bath time," Kim said as Olivia began washing her blonde tresses.
"I can see she still does, especially in her, state," Alex said gently and Kim smiled.
"Me love Livy," Amanda said quietly and the brunette had to fight back a sob. "I love you too, sweetheart," she whispered before beginning to get Amanda out of the tub. She loved this child-like version of Amanda, but she missed her smart, caring and sometimes feisty
detective too. She just hoped this would be resolved soon so Amanda would feel safe enough to come back to them.
