"What are you doing here?" Amanda choked out, her heart continuing to beat faster the longer he remained in the apartment. "You know why I'm here. You know why I'm here and where we are going." He responded taking a step towards her, motioning her to follow him.

She just prayed Liv got there in time. She couldn't go with him, not there. "L-let me call Liv. She needs to know I'm leaving." The blonde finally spoke, a plan forming but he shook his head. "That's not necessary." He responded and she could suddenly feel herself spiraling, either into a meltdown or little space, she wasn't sure which. All she knew was she needed Olivia, now.

Olivia was in the middle of talking to Kat and Fin when her phone rang. Glancing down, she smiled when she saw Amanda's name flashing across the screen. "Hey, sweetheart. What's-" "Livy. He's here." Amanda shrieked and the brunette immediately went on alert, nodding to Fin and grabbing her keys before rushing out the door, the older man not far behind.

"Who, baby. Who's there?" Olivia questioned, a noticeable current of alarm in her voice and Fin pressed harder on the gas, knowing Amanda needed them but knowing there wasn't much time. "Daddy. He wants to take me-" "Amanda. Hurry up or I'll come in." Jim's voice boomed andThe blonde began sobbing almost hysterically.

"Li-li-liv. Ple-ple-pl-please do-do-do-don't l... l... let him t-t-ta-take me." She sobbed, and Liv's heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Baby, Fin and I are on our way. Shhh, take a deep breath and calm down." She cooed, glancing at Fin.

"Do you have your gun, Amanda?" "Ye-yes, but I don't wanna shoot him." She said, a distressed whine escaping her mouth and the brunette glanced worriedly at him, knowing her detective was close to either regressing or having a major meltdown. "How far?" She mouthed, and he glanced around. "2 minutes."

"Ok, baby, I need you to listen to me. Can you do that?" Olivia asked, breathing a sigh when they pulled onto their street before slamming on the breaks in the parking lot of their apartment. "We are downstairs right now.

I need you to stay where you are, and get your gun. I'm coming, sweetheart. I just need you to hold on." She assured, taking the stairs two at a time, Fin-on her heals.

"Amanda, I'm coming in." The brunette heard before the blonde let out another scream.

Flinging the door open, they scanned the room. "Police!" They called out, before seeing Jim slumped against the sofa, a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

"Where is she?" The brunette growled, gripping his injured shoulder, making him scream out in pain. "Liv." Fin whispered, motioning to the corner of the room.

There, in the corner, was Amanda, hands shaking uncontrollably as she clutched her gun. "Hey, sweetheart." Olivia whispered, squatting down and taking the gun and putting it aside. "He-he got in." She whispered, beginning to rock steadily back and forth. "I'm in trouble. I was bad, so bad." She began mumbling.

"I'm getting an ambulance." Fin said, grabbing Jim and roughly guiding him out of the room.

"Call beth." Olivia mouthed and he nodded.

"Mama." Amanda said quietly. "Yeah, baby. Mama's coming." The brunette cooed softly, reaching for Amanda who immediately wrapped her arms around the older woman, practically crawling into her lap.

"Liv." She said, a note of fear in her voice and the brunette stood with the blonde in her arms before gently taking a seat in the rocking chair, beginning to rock. "You're ok, sweetie. I'm so sorry I wasn't here, but I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere." She said softly, pressing a kiss to Amanda's head and rubbing her shaking back. "I'm in trouble. Blood, have to clean it up." She spoke, attempting to get out of Olivia's hold.

"No, honey. You're ok. You're not in trouble, baby. You did what you had to do.

Can I hold you. "Is that ok?" She asked and her detective nodded. "Uh-huh. Hold me, please." She whispered, snuggling deeper into the safe arms holding her.

"I will, sweetheart. I know you're scared, but I'm here and so is Fin." She assured, shifting the blonde around so she could reach a blanket and wrap it around them.

"Amanda, Olivia." Beth called franticly about 20 minutes later, crashing through the open door of the apartment. "In here, Beth." The brunette responded softly, still rocking Amanda gently in her arms, that being the only thing keeping her calm at the moment. "What the hell?" She asked, glancing around. "Fin said Manda shot him?" She sputtered, the disbelief clearly evident and Olivia just nodded.

"Yeah. She called me after locking herself in the bathroom and when we got here she was in the corner of the room and he had a wound to the shoulder.

"Oh, my sweet girl. Can I hold her?" She asked and Olivia glanced at the blonde who shook her head, shifting impossibly closer to her and she glanced apologetically at Beth.

"It's alright, Liv. I understand. She's terrified right now." She responded, shocked when Amanda, still keeping both arms wrapped around Olivia, shifted enough so that she could grip her mother's hand but still keep the physical contact with her boss. "I guess that'll work." Beth said with a smile, moving closer to make it easier on her daughter and Olivia smiled great fully just glad Beth understood what Amanda needed.

"No, Liv. I don't want to do this." Amanda wailed as her boss lead her towards tucker's office. "Rollins." Olivia snapped, hating having to be harsh but needing to snap her out of her regressive state, and quickly. "Listen to me, baby." She said much softer now that she had the blonde's attention. "I need you to pull it together right now.

You have to tell them exactly what happened. Do you understand?" I know you're regressing, sweetheart, but I need you to hold on a little longer. Can you do that?" She whispered, running her fingers through her detective's hair for a moment.

"I-I'm feeling little, Livy." She said quietly and the brunette sighed sadly. "I know sweetheart, but you have to be big right now." She explained, hoping against hope she could get through this.

The last thing they needed was for anyone who wasn't on their squad finding out about this.

"Detective, what happened after you got off the phone with captain Benson?" Tucker asked and Amanda took a deep breath. "My dad broke down the bathroom door and made me follow him out to the living room." She responded before continuing, trying to fight off the pull of little space.

"When he came towards me I told him to freeze." "Did he?" "No, he continued forward so I shot him in the shoulder." The blonde answered.

"What happened next, Amanda?" "Captain Benson and Fin arrived." She said and Tucker stopped the recorder. "Ok. Thank you.

You're free to go." He said.

"I'm so proud of you, honey." Olivia praised lovingly as she sat with Amanda in her office, knowing it was just a matter of time before she completely went into little space. "Feeling little, Livy." She whispered just as she had done earlier and Olivia immediately opened her arms, ready to do what she needed to do.

"come here. Let me hold you." She cooed and Amanda immediately fell into her arms, beginning to chew softly on her fingers.

"Here, baby. Have this." She spoke tenderly, handing her a pacifier which the blonde immediately put in her mouth, beginning to suck softly as she slipped completely, snuggling more firmly into her boss's embrace, and finally, began to relax, the fear and anxiety melting away the longer Olivia held her.

"My sweet girl." Olivia whispered, glancing down a few minutes later where Amanda hadn't moved, still sucking on the pacifier as her other hand gripped the brunette's t-shirt that she had changed into.

"Let's go home, sweetie.I think someone needs a nap." She said softly and Amanda nodded before pointing to Olivia. "You." She said and her boss nodded, understanding what she wanted.

"Ok, sweetheart. If that's what it takes to get you to lay down then that's what I will do." She said fondly.

Once they arrived home, Olivia helped Amanda change before placing her in bed and crawling in next to her. "Are you doing ok, honey?" She whispered and her detective nodded, laying her head on Olivia's chest. "Is daddy going to jail?" She questioned and Olivia took a deep breath.

"I don't know, sweetheart, but I can promise you he will never take you to see your kidnapper anymore." She assured, pulling the blonde closer to her before they both drifted off to sleep.

Olivia woke up to Amanda cuddled into her side, a pacifier in her mouth and Beth sitting in a chair beside the bed. "Hey, Liv. I came by a little while ago." She explained, stroking her daughter's hand, which was holding tight to the pacifier, keeping it in her mouth, not quite having pulled herself out of little space just yet. "That's totally fine, Beth.

She regressed when she had to give her statement but she pulled herself together long enough to do that." Olivia explained, kissing Amanda's head gently, smiling when she cuddled into her completely and closed her eyes.

"When I came in, she was wide awake, just watching you and sucking on that." Beth explained, recalling how she had found her daughter.

"She's a good girl." Liv cooed softly and the blonde smiled briefly before returning the pacifier to her mouth.

"Jim got bail." Her mother spat angrily, and Olivia visibly stiffened. "How the hell did that happen?" "I have no idea, but your friend, Alex, called me.

She's getting a restraining order in place immediately." Beth explained and the brunette relaxed slightly but held her blonde detective just a little closer, not that she minded. She was still feeling very afraid, and that fear reared its head later on that evening when it came time for bed.

"No, Liv. I want to stay with you." Amanda screamed, tears of despair pouring from her blue eyes and Liv let out a sigh, trying to tamp down the frustration. "Honey, listen to me. I'm not leaving you. I'll be just in the next room, but you're tired.

You're tired, sweetheart, and you need to go to sleep." She cooed lovingly, stroking Amanda's hair. "Liv, please, I wanna stay with you." She shrieked at the top of her lungs once again and she finally gave in. Words hadn't made a difference in the last 20 minutes. The blonde was inconsolable and her boss new the only way she'd calm down was if Olivia gave her what she wanted.

"Ok, baby. Come here." She whispered, picking her up and walking towards the bedroom, Amanda immediately quieting in her arms. Beginning to speak in a low, soothing tone, the brunette begun telling her blonde detective when she herself had just started out on the force, knowing she could put her down to pull out certain items for her nightly routine if Amanda could still hear and see her. It also didn't hurt that she was completely enamored with the brunette's story. Any story about her boss's days on the force could capture her attention and the brunette used that to her advantage.

From the doorway, Beth and Alex watched silently before Beth quietly began speaking. "She was inconsolable earlier, screamed for her for 20 minutes." Beth whispered, watching as Amanda leaned towards the brunette, now completely tuned into the story.

"So, I thought it would be a great idea to go in without backup." Olivia was saying as she helped her brush her teeth and change her clothes and Amanda immediately stopped her movements, gripping Olivia's arm. "Trouble?" She asked with wide eyes and Liv smiled, seeing her autistic quirks and knowing she was finally coming out of little space.

"Yeah, baby. I was in big trouble." She confirmed. "I was in big trouble. Next." Amanda said before stopping and rephrasing her sentence. "Will you please finish the story, Livy?" She asked and both Alex and Kim, who had just entered the room had to do everything in their power not to lose it.

"Well, as you can imagine Cragen was not at all happy when we got back to the station." Olivia continued, tucking Amanda into bed and lying on top of the covers next to her, knowing some paperwork had to be completed as soon as she was asleep. "Is she regressed?" Kim asked in a low whisper, and alex tore her eyes away from the scene in front of her and looked at the younger blonde. "She's coming out of it. Your mom said she screamed for Liv for 20 minutes and she finally just had to do this to calm her down and get her to sleep so she and I can talk about the restraining order." She explained before Beth reentered the room, having become just as interested in the brunette's story as her daughter.

"I ended up being placed on desk duty." Olivia said, a slight grin taking over her face as she finished her tale. "Like me." Amanda whispered, tapping Olivia's chest and the brunette nodded, pressing a kiss to her head.

"Yeah, sweetheart, like you, my little troublemaker." She said fondly, beginning to stroke a thumb over Amanda's cheek and Amanda finally drifted off in to a much needed sleep.
