Hello everyone. So I need to make something very clear. Constructive criticism is completely fine, but I will not tolerate rudeness. If you don't like the story that's fine but saying it sucks is not ok. I understand not everyone will like this story. I have stories I don't like. As for the assumption of this being a rolivia story, to the guest reviewer that is not the case. This has only ever been a friendship between Olivia and Amanda. Olivia is helping her heal. She is to traumatized by her kidnapping and abuse as a child right now to even think about a relationship. The abuse, is why as the guest who reviewed put it, she acts like a baby. She can't help it. This is her way of dealing when things get to tough and scary for her so I hope that clears things up for you. I'm sorry to all my other lovely readers that yall have to see this but I can't directly respond to this person. To my reviewer n3000 I definitely plan on continuing this. With what happened I am more determined to continue this story. I hope everyone enjoys this final chapter. There will definitely be a sequel. I just had to end it here though. with what my new guest reviewer said about her not being sure if she could work in SVU with her autism after the abduction I just had to go that route. Y'all please don't hate me. ha ha. To detLove thanks so much for the kind review.
To my new guest reviewer, I'd love to communicate privately with you. You brought up some very good points. To be sure I understand though you want me to explore how Amanda has been able to work in law-enforcement with her autism? I wasn't able to read your full review in my email because of the length and I have yet to see it on the website so I'm having to kind of go by what I was able to read. It stopped as soon as I got to the part about masking. I loved, loved your review though. Please Review back on this next chapter and we can go from there but I would love to private message with you on here.
The next morning Olivia sat drinking coffee as she mindlessly flipped through tv channels. It was her day off, and for that she was grateful. She wasn't sure what state Amanda would be in when she woke up.
She glanced up when she heard hesitant footsteps coming down the hall. "Good morning, sweetie." She said softly, watching as her detective hovered uncertainly at the end of the sofa. "I sowwy. I not wet the bed again." She whispered and Olivia sighed. "It's ok, baby. You didn't mean to." She assured her gently, patting the seat next to her.
"You wanna come sit with me?" She questioned and Amanda nodded before slowly sitting down but staying at the far end of the sofa. "It's ok, honey. You can come closer. I won't hurt you."
"I-I know Liv. I'm just scared." Amanda responded, clearly her big girl self once again and the brunette sighed in relief. .
"I understand that. It's perfectly normal with the case we just had and everything you've gone through. I'll be right here for you though. I promise."
"Wow. Hey, sweetheart. What's the matter? Are you hurt?" Olivia asked franticly as she sat straight up on the couch a few hours later, having been abruptly awakened by the blonde shaking her and sobbing almost hysterically
"Amanda, baby, are you hurt?" She questioned once more before realizing she wouldn't be getting an answer. "Ok, come here. It's ok. I've got you." She cooed, pulling her onto the couch and holding her close, Amanda immediately hiding her face in her neck, breaths coming in quick succession and Olivia realized she was having a panic attack. . "Come on, my love. I need you to breathe." She instructed, attempting to pull back but her detective just cried harder, her crying almost turning into screaming. "Shhh. It's ok. You're ok. I'm not leaving, sweetheart. I just need to help you get your breathing under control. Come on, let go for just a second. Can you do that?" She asked softly, knowing her separation anxiety was at an all time high right now and wondering what in the world had caused this. "Ok, honey. Let's take a deep breath." Olivia softly instructed, sitting behind her and leaning Amanda back against her chest as she slowly breathed in and out, urging her detective to copy her movements.
"There you go. Good girl. Nice and slow." She whispered, beginning to gently rub her shaking back, a startling thought coming into her mind.
"Baby, I have a question. Do you want to continue working in SVU?" She questioned in barely above a whisper, the look in Amanda's eyes telling her all she needed to know.
"I-I do, but I don't know i-if I can anymore." She responded, a sob bursting forth before she could stop it.
"It-it's to much. Everything's to much and I can't take it anymore. I don't sleep. I can't be away from you, and my nightmares, flashbacks and autistic meltdowns are significantly worse now." She said, not saying what they were both thinking which was everything changed after her abduction.
"It was like once I knew I could truly be myself and I didn't have to mask-" She started but then stopped, Olivia immediately knowing where she was going with this. "Your meltdowns started effecting your job because you were finally able to be yourself and do what you needed to do to get through the day without having to worry someone would say quiet hands, or make you feel like there was something wrong with you if you had a meltdown, burnout or a shutdown." She finished without a hint of judgment and Amanda nodded silently, more tears making their way down her pail face.
"Oh, sweetheart." Olivia whispered, tears springing to her own eyes and Amanda immediately threw herself at her, gripping tight to Olivia's body, silent sobs bursting from her trembling lips now that everything was finally out in the open, and Olivia wondered what the future held for her blonde detective.
