Marty Junior stopped to catch his breath behind a bubble car next to the Holomax Theatre, which he was shocked to see still in operation after 60 years. Through the cloudy skies, he thought he heard three familiar sonic booms, and sure enough, the Jaguar came for a rest, right next to a pile of DVDs. Junior laughed at it being the second time this happened.
"People really need to stop throwing their old disks out. I mean, there's bound to be some good video games on them, right?" Doc chuckled.
"You and your video games!" Marty Junior replied. That was part of the reason he had gotten the iPad. Sure, it did come preloaded with some statistical wins that could prove useful in any future time-travel escapades, but it must've had some great games on it, such as Plants vs. Zombies. "You should check out the iPad I got!"
"You brought your iPad? Did you want to play some games? I'm on a bit of a tight schedule, I promised Jules I'd meet him at the hospital soon back in 2015."
"Still don't get why you became an inventor if all you're about is video games."
"Technically, my official job is modifying cars. It's a lot like playing a video game. And why I like being called 'Doc', because I'm a car doctor, and to honor Pop."
"Sorry, I guess I never really took into account that aspect of your job. I guess I was too spineless to really see the world around me. Or believe it whenever my dad mentioned time-travel. Always told him that I didn't want to hear it. There is one thing I'm sure he never did though. Find a guide to the future! I found this amazing iPad at a store with sports statistics from 2010 to 2060! I could be rich…"
"That's 44 years worth of future information! Time-travel isn't supposed to be used like that!" Doc's tone seemed to be nervous, almost as if there was a dark secret he was keeping, a secret Marty Junior had never been told.
"Fine, whatever. I just wanted to make some bucks." He then opened his backpack, and gasped. "The iPad isn't even here!"
"Good riddance, then." Doc replied. "It's better off that way, we can't have it fall into the wrong hands."
"Oh, shit, Doc." Marty Junior asked. "Where's Suzy? She was at the Cafe with me, but we got separated. We have to find her."
"Let's just hope she's not causing any nuclear fires." Doc joked, as they hopped into the Jaguar.

Meanwhile, Suzy had run around the perimeter of the courthouse, and quickly stopped to catch her breath and admire the large digital clock. It definitely looked new, although the Courthouse itself was looking very dirty. It seemed Hill Valley's urban renewal plans had an expiration date. She made her way around the duck pond, which she was fairly shocked to see still standing. "Guess we've been serving those ducks well." She muttered. Marty Junior, however, was nowhere to be found, and seemed to have wandered off to an unclear location. People were either walking around, or using hover scooters or fancy-looking hoverboards that appeared to have rocket engines. Taking a moment to look at the clothes people were wearing and not to think of her missing boyfriend or potentially being trapped so far removed from her present-day, and her family. Suzy wasn't quite sure how time-travel worked, but it was apparent her parents would kill her if she didn't get home by 9 PM. Surely she trusted Doc to find her, and maybe Junior had just gone to grab a bite to eat. There were a few restaurants around the square, but they didn't appear to serve anything she'd consider appetizing. One advertised rubber vegetables, and the other advertised 3D-printed food. She then saw the bright red iPad at her feet, and read the title.
"Sports statistics? Good thing I don't really care about sports." Suzy chuckled, but Driff Tannen suddenly scooped up the iPad.
"Looks like someone was throwing out their old technology!" Driff laughed.
"Why aren't you arrested for that scuffle at the antique shop? And give that back!" Suzy exclaimed.
"I let Grandpa Griff take the blame. And you'll have to catch me first, Marlene. Let's see how good you are at rocketboarding, since I've never seen you do that before!" Driff pulled a so-called rocket board out of his backpack, and took off, leaving flames flying.
"Jesus," Suzy said. "60 years later and we're right back to harming the environment." She looked around for an abandoned rocket board, but only saw a boy riding what appeared to be a toy one. Still, toy or not, it was her best choice at getting the iPad back.
"Excuse me, young man, can I borrow your rocket board?" She asked. The boy looked at her.
"Okay, but don't break it." He didn't seem to care that much from his tone of voice. Suzy took the board, and looked for the fire trails left behind by Driff in the sky. Once she noticed them, Suzy started getting higher, and then went in a straight line. She had to catch up with him soon. As Suzy traveled, however, she noticed the limitations, and wondered if the iPad was really a top priority. After all, she wasn't sure it was Marty Junior's, although it greatly resembled the one she had seen sticking out of his backpack. Driff didn't even know about time-travel, and she did want Doc and Junior to know where she was. Deciding to trust her main instincts and get back something her boyfriend most likely bought, though, Suzy continued onward, the town around her beginning to blur.

Finally, Suzy grew tired of chasing Driff, having completely lost his trail. She looked around to see where she was. It was Hilldale, the neighborhood Marty Junior lived in, but now it was even more run-down, some houses having been torn down and a lot of trash cluttering the streets. She looked down, and thought she saw a familiar green truck parked outside. Marty Junior's! Of course, he must have been nearly eighty years old now, and maybe paying a visit to his childhood home? Hopefully that wasn't where he lived currently, and he had a much grander house…with her?...somewhere else in town. It would be depressing to live in the same house your whole life. As Suzy prepared to make a landing and get a glimpse of what her boyfriend would look like 60 years in the future, she was taken aback by what appeared to be a funeral monument. It read, "Here Lies Suzy McFly. November 12th, 1998-August 18th, 2045", How could this be? What had happened to her? Suzy was at a loss for words, but quickly called Doc.
"Suzy? Where are you? We're looking everywhere for you." Doc said.
"I'm at MJ's house." Suzy explained, unsure what to believe.
"Great scott. We'll be there in a jiffy." Doc assured her.
