Chapter 5

Let's Get Romantic

The bell rings and the horsies are off. Oguri just paces herself for the start of the match. Since she is racing about 17 horsies, she is in 13th place as of right now. It seems like Rudolf is also pacing herself. She is in 9th place. So far, the race seems to be easy-going, as for right now until they make the first turn. Oguri decides to speed up a little, so she runs past 3 horsies and goes head to head with another horsie she doesn't know. However, she speeds past her as well. She is now in the same place as Rudolf.

"Oguri Cap and Syboli Rudolf are head to head at 9th place!" The female announcer says. "This race may be a bit slow at first, but things will really get going once they make the second turn!"

Oguri glances at Rudolf, who decides to speed ahead of her. Oguri decides to speed up after her. Both horsies end up running past 3 other horsies and are now in 5th and 6th place. Oguri is right behind Rudolf, keeping an eye on her.

Creek watches the race being unfolded. She just smiles, cupping her hand to her cheek. Inari munches on popcorn and Tama does the same.

"Those two are taking their sweet time," Tama says.

"Maybe they just need the right moment," Inari says.

"Could be," Creek replies, still eyeing the race. She doesn't make eye contact with her friends. She just watches.

The horsies make the second turn and Rudolf decides to speed up again. Oguri sees this and dashes forward, only passing one horsie.

"Symboli Rudolf is getting ahead! Oguri Cap is still behind!" The female announcer says. "What is Oguri Cap thinking at the moment? Some strategy perhaps?"

Oguri puts on a determined face. Of course she is thinking of a plan to get past Rudolf, but since there are other horsies in front of her, she cannot do that. Rudolf is too far away.

"Uhhhh…is Oguri alright?" Inari asks. "I'm starting to worry."

"This track has a small hill," Tama says. "I wonder if Ogurin will be able to run over it in time to catch up to the Prez."

"Oguri-chan can do it," Super Creek says. "She's strong. She can prove that she can be stronger than Rudolf-san. I know it."

Tama looks over at the taller brunette. "Wow, Creek. Ya really believe in Ogurin, don't you?"

"We may be rivals, but we can still support each other~" Super Creek says.

When the horse girls get to their third turn, things start to heat up. Most of the horse girls tire out, letting Oguri and Rudolf speed ahead of them. However, the third turn leads to a small hill. Oguri grits her teeth and uses her strong legs to push forward. A little steep hill will not get the best of her. And unfortunately, not the same can be said for Rudolf. She has already made it across and is almost at the fourth turn. Oguri has to pick up her game!

"Symboli Rudolf ran through the hill and is now in 1st place!" The female announcer exclaims. "Oguri Cap is in 3rd place! Will she be able to catch up to Symboli Rudolf!?"

Super Creek and the others gasp. Just one final turn and it may be over for Oguri. But the silver haired horsey begs to differ. She cannot lose here. If she does, she will not be able to move forward toward the semi-finals.

"Symboli Rudolf is still ahead and makes the final turn!" The female announcer cries out. "Oh, what's this? Oguri Cap just sped past two horse girls and is now catching up to Symboli Rudolf! This is it, folks! Who will be the victor!?"

Rudolf looks back to see Oguri catching up to her. Pretty fast too. Rudolf can only admit that the silver haired horsey is a worthy opponent to race against. No one has caught up to her in previous races until now. Oguri Cap is something special.

"It's not over yet!" The female announcer says. "There is still 400 meters to go! Oguri Cap and Symboli Rudolf are head to head! Only one can move to the semi finals!"

Oguri grits her teeth and stomps her foot on the ground, a way to gain a burst of speed. She dashes ahead of Rudolf before the Prez can even blink.

"Oguri Cap is pulling ahead! She's ahead of Symboli Rudolf!" The female announcer exclaims. "Unbelievable! Just when hope seems to be lost for her! She eventually pulls through!"

Oguri rushes past the finish line and Rudolf comes in second. The silver haired horsey stops and pants a little from all the running. The crowd goes wild as she looks up at them. Rudolf pants as well, but gives a weak smile. Oguri has proven herself.

"Yeah! Yeah! She did it!" Tama and Inari cheer, hopping up and down. "She won! She won!"

Super Creek smiles and gives a nod. Just one step closer until both of them reach their goal. Super Creek has made it to the semi-finals as well thanks to racing Maru. However, she knows that even in the semi-finals, things will get serious from here on out. Losing is not an option.

"Oguri," Rudolf walks up to the silver haired horsey and holds out her gloved hand. "Great race today. I'm honored to race against someone like you."

Oguri nods and gently grips her hand. "It was an honor as well. Thanks for racing with me."

The crowd goes wild again from their awesome sportsmanship.

That night*

Oguri sighs as she is on her way to the dorms. After performing her victory concert, the sun went down. The silver haired horsey is exhausted. She needs some rest.

However, as she is walking, she sees a familiar figure walking toward her.

"Creek," Oguri says.

The MILFy horsey giggles. "Congratulations on the race. I'm so proud of you~"

"Thanks…" Oguri says softly. "It was…I mean…all the training…paid off."

"Keep at it~" Creek says with a wink. "And pretty soon, we will make it to the finals together~" She then looks up at the clear sky with the full moon shining upon them. "Why don't we watch the stars tonight, hm~?"

"Sure. I could use some relaxation," Oguri nods.

"I know the best place where we can watch it~" Creek says with a finger held up. "BUT! I wanna make things interesting~"

"What is it?" Oguri asks softly.

"YOU~ have to carry me up there~" Creek says.

"I raced though…" Oguri says. "And…danced at the concert. I don't think I have the energy to carry you all the way to the hill from here."

"Then how about this~?" Super Creek links arms with the silver haired horsey. "We stay close together until we step foot toward that hill. THEN, you can carry me~"

"Wh-what's with the linking arms all of a sudden…?" Oguri blushes on how close Creek is, especially how her soft bosom is pressing against her.

"Ufufu~" Creek giggles. "I just want to be as close to you as possible!"

"Isn't that a little odd since we are not a couple yet…?" Oguri says.

"No worries~" Creek says. "It's alright to get a little romantic every once in a while. You don't have to be a couple in order to do things romantically~"

"If you say so…" Oguri says softly.

The two horsies proceed to walk together, the long way toward the local park. Once they are at the edge of the hill, as promised, Oguri lifts Creek up and proceeds to carry her bridal style. The MILFy horsey gasps at this, but then smiles and slowly wraps her arms around Oguri's neck. This feels…nice. Being carried like that. It makes her heart race. As for Oguri, she can feel Creek's warmth, like it's healing her from all the exhaustion earlier today. She no longer feels tired and is able to carry Creek with no problem.

Once they are on top of the hill, Oguri gently sets Creek down. Both horsies look up at the stars and the moon. The silver haired horsey looks over at Creek. The moon's light makes the brunette horsey's facial features stand out.

"Well…a little more to go," Creek break the silence. She then looks at Oguri with a smile. "You remember our promise, right?"

Oguri nods, looking at Creek. "I have not forgotten."

"Good~" Creek says. Her smile is that of an angel's. "I look forward to when we race together. I have trained hard to reach the semi-finals myself."

"Yeah…" Oguri nods again. "Just a little more to go…"

Creek gently caresses Oguri's cheek with a soft smile. "Don't worry if you lose again. I will always love you just for being you. You gave it your all. That's all that matters."

Oguri stares into Creek's beautiful face. She knows she has a point. However, she still cannot shake the fact that losing to her will also render her as not a worthy horsey. No horse girl would want that.

"Promise me that okay?" Creek continues. "Promise me to always stay true to yourself, no matter what the circumstances~"

Oguri hesitates a little before nodding. "Alright…it's a promise…."

Super Creek gives a soft chuckle and the two horsies embrace each other.

Later*

Creek is alone while Oguri is off to the dorms right away. The brunette horsey then spots a familiar, delinquent-like horsey in her track suit, jogging at this hour. Narita Brian stops and pants.

"Ara, Brian-san, what are you doing so late at night?" Creek asks as she walks up to her.

"This is…it, Super Creek," Brian straightens herself up and looks at the brunette horsey. "I am in the semi-finals, same as you. Which means, we go head to head. I can finally prove myself to you. I will not lose to you again!"

"Ufufu! Awww, you're so determined~" Creek just smiles and pets the delinquent like horsey. Brian did not expect this reaction. "I am honored to race against you again. Were you training just as hard as Oguri-chan~?"

"Her?" Brian raises an eyebrow. "Well…I don't know about her but…"

"Ara, what's that you got there?" Creek leans down to see a ruined shoe on her foot. "Ohhhh, that doesn't look good. Here, I got a spare pair."

"Ah…ahhhh…y-you don't have to do that…" Brian blushes for the first time.

Creek urges Brian to sit on a nearby bench and take off her shoe. Creek digs into her bag to bring out an extra pair of shoes. Nice and clean. Shiny, too. Brian gasps softly as Creek gently puts on the new shoes on her cute feet. The delinquent-like horsey blushes bright red. What's with Super Creek?

"There we go~" Creek says as she stands up. "See how they feel~?"

Brian stands up slowly and moves her legs. The shoes are light as a feather and they feel softer than before. As much as she wants to jump for joy, she doesn't show it and turns away to hide it.

"Wh-why did you do this for me….?" Brian asks. "We're rivals and they are not supposed to help each other…!"

"Maybe so~" Creek gently puts her hands on Brian's shoulders from behind and leans close. "But…I do not see us as rivals. You made the claim yourself, remember? Even as rivals, I will still help out anyone in need. Nobody is the bad guy to me~"

Brian gasps and looks over at the MILFy horsey. "Y-you…!"

"Ufufufu~" Creek giggles. "I'm glad you enjoyed the new shoes. I would've had worn them myself but never had a chance to find the right time. Now there is~"

"Ah…I…." Brian is at a loss for words.

Creek giggles and turns to leave, her long braid swaying at the movement. "I will see you at the semi-finals, Brian-san~"

As the MILFy horsey leaves, the delinquent like horsey is flustered. She is red in the face and all sweaty.

"Wh-what is with that horse girl!?" Brian cries. "Why did she help me!? Is this some sort of trick? No…she will never do any of that stuff! But…why? Why is it when I look at her, I feel so…!?"

At the Dorms*

After Creek gets out of the shower and dresses up in her short white night gown, she goes over to her bed. However, just before she climbs in, she feels…something from her left leg. It's being all…wobbly all of a sudden. Creek frowns at this and puts pressure on her thigh. That seem to calm it down.

"Must be my imagination…" Creek says.
