Chapter 6

When Things Take A Different Turn

"Oguri-chan~" Super Creek says one day at lunch. She plops down across from the hungry horsey. "Let's go to town after school~"

"Where did this come from all of a sudden….?" Oguri asks softly, eating her food as she goes.

Creek helps herself to Oguri's meal. "Since the semi-finals are coming soon, I thought the two of us should at least have a little fun. It's only a few days before that time~

"Ya two should totally go!" Tama plops down next to Oguri with a tray full with her own food. "Ya two have been doing nothing but training your asses. Why not live the life a little bit, ya know~?"

"Tama-chan is right~" Creek says. "So what do you say, Oguri-chan~?"

The taller silver haired horsey gives a smile. "Sure. I don't see why not."

"Goodie~!" Creek says. "I look forward to a wonderful afternoon, then~"

Oguri nods and continues to enjoy her meal. It's very nice to spend more time with Creek as days go by. But pretty soon, Oguri will HAVE to let out her true feelings after the finals. She can almost reach it. She can almost reach that dream.

Meanwhile*

On the school roof, Narita Brian is looking at the perfect view. Light wind blows, making her beautiful pony-tail sway. It's a few days before the semi-finals. She will face Super Creek once again there. She looks down and clenches her fist to her chest.

"I won't lose this time," she says to herself. "All that training I have done. It should pay off. I know it. I worked very hard on this. If Creek beats me again…I can no longer call myself a worthy horse girl to beat Aneki…"

Unbeknownst to Brian, her older sister, Biwa Hayahide overhears her. She gives a sad look and then turns to leave. Brian is acting like she's overdoing it. She feels as though Brian's victory or loss may not be worth it at all. Is it pointless to begin with? To Biwa, it is. Brian is her little sister and she appreciates her determination. However…that determination Brian is having right now…is it really that important? Biwa decides to have Brian figure it out herself.

Later*

Oguri and Creek head toward town where the MILFy horsey brightens and twirls around happily.

"Let's go to the mall!" Creek cheers. "I want to explore!"

"You sure have a lot of things planned, huh?" Oguri says with a small smile.

"Having fun with you is what I want~" Super Creek says with a beautiful smile on her face. "We haven't done something like this for a long time~"

"If you say so," Oguri shrugs.

'And just like that, Creek and I enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. We went clothes shopping, ate a big meal together, and explored as much as we can. I will admit though: I had fun with her because I wanted to spend time with her as well.

Then…before we knew it. The semi-finals began. I had won the semi-finals before Creek's. I just hope this goes well for her. Or at least that's what I wanted to think…'

Super Creek looks around when Brian approaches her, arms crossed.

"Today's the day," Brian says. "You and I."

Creek is all smiles as she walks over and holds out her hand. "Let's have a good race together…once again~"

Brian blushes bright red. She holds out her hand and gently grips it.

"Y-you will soon be crying when you lose to me," Brian says.

"Ufufu! Oh that will be very unlikely~" Super Creek says.

Oguri, Tama and Inari and Meisho are watching from the sidelines.

"Yeeeaaaah! You got this, Creek!" Tama and Inari cheer.

Oguri looks at the brunette, who pumps her fists. Meisho looks on at her idol, hoping she would win fhe semi-finals. Oguri made it past the semi finals, so now it's up to Creek to give it her all. The horses enter their own gates.

"The semi-finals will begin underway!" The female announcer says. The bell rings. "And they're off!"

18 horse girls dash forward at full speed. Creek sees Brian go ahead of 4 horses already and is in second place. Creek is only in 5th. Brian looks back to see Creek way behind her. She smirks and then looks ahead. She's off to a great start.

"Narita Brian is in 2nd place!" The female announcer says. "Manhattan Cafe is in first! But wait! Rice Shower is pulling ahead after the first turn! She has run past Super Creek!"

Creek looks over at the small horsey, who is just speeding ahead of Brian. The MILFy horsey starts to speed up a little more, going past a few horsies. Rice Shower pulls ahead of Brian, but the delinquent horsey runs faster. She will NOT let some small horsey beat her at her own game, even though Rice isn't the target. Creek is speeding up a little more.

"Rice Shower is now in 2nd!" The female announcer says. "Super Creek is in 3rd! Narita Brian is ahead of them by 200 meters and is already making the second turn!"

"Go, go, go!" Inari and Tama cheer.

"You can do it!" Meisho cries out.

The horses speed up a little. Creek is still in 3rd. Rice is in 2nd and Brian is in 1st. Everything is the same until the third turn. Rice is tiring out. She cannot handle this distance unfortunately. Creek speeds ahead of her, leaving her to catch up to Brian. The delinquent horsey looks back to see Creek catching up to her. This is good. She will show Creek just how much she has trained, so she goes a little faster. Creek speeds up as well until she is head to head.

"Narita Brian and Super Creek are neck to neck!" The female announcer cries. "They are almost at the final turn! Who will come out strong!?"

Creek smiles sweetly as she is not the least out of breath. Brian grits her teeth. She will have to use her speed at the last second when she does the final turn. When the two horse girls approach it, they do a sharp turn and Creek is speeding way ahead of Brian.

"Super Creek is ahead! Super Creek sped past Narita Brian!" The female announcer exclaims. "Will the results be the same as last time!?"

Creek looks toward the finish. So far, yet she is coming close every second. She smiles. This is it. Once she crosses that finish line, it's one step closer to race Oguri. However…something…snapped. Creek's eyes widen as she begin to slow down. Her body is heating up quickly. She is sweating to the bone.

"Wh-what is happening to Super Creek!?" The female announcer says. "She doesn't look so good!"

Everyone else has horrified expressions on their faces. Oguri cannot believe what she is seeing.

"Narita Brian takes this chance to speed past her! And then Rice Shower!" The female announcer continues. "Narita Brian speeds ahead more and more! She's almost to the finish!"

Brian looks back and can only see Creek from a far distance. Even the delinquent horsey herself is shocked to see Creek in such a state. She crosses the finish line anyways. But…there is no feeling of victory at all in her.

"CREEK!" Oguri cries as she hops off the wall and dashes toward the stumbling brunette.

"Wait! Ogurin!" Tama cries, but she is too late to reach her.

Oguri rushes toward her dear friend and Creek finally collapses in the silver haired horsey's arms. She is sweating like crazy…and her head is burning up!

"Oh, god…! Creek!" Oguri cries. "Please hold on….! The paramedics are on their way…!"

Creek only pants helplessly. Her left leg feels so weak right now, she can barely move it. Oguri is shocked to see this happen.
