Helicarrier Detention Section

Kuri walks back and forth inside her glass cell. Suddenly, she stopped.

"There's not many people that can sneak up on me." Kuri turned to see Loki standing there.

"But you knew I'd come." Loki said.

"After. After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate." Kuri said.

"I wanna know what you've done to Erik Selvig, your father." Loki said.

"I'd say I've expanded his mind." Kuri said. "Can we stop with the false pretense. You know everything about me, after all, Loki. You know that man is not my father."

"Yes," Loki said slowly. "Kurisuta Hikawa Watanabe. Your true age, in this lifetime is 551 years. You were born in the Sengoku Jidai period of Japan, to a miko, or priestess of the gods. This priestess had mated with a demon, and both were murdered protecting your life. Your sister Reiko was born full blooded kitsune demon by art of spiritual insemenation. She protected you, loved you. All these years. And then she tracked down Erik Selvig, a man with no family, and used her art of illusing to convince him that he was your biological father. The man probably still believes it. She created falsified documents, old photo albums, an entire family tree called Selvig, all explaining that you were descended from gypsies, and everyone is buying it!"

Kuri stared at him. "I learned to lie from the God of Lies."

Loki laughed in her face. "My dear, you never once told a believable lie. The master of that art in your family is Rei. I know your plan, it has never been a secret from me; from the moment I touched you on the mountainside. Did you forget, love, that we have an unbreakable bond?"

Kuri was stunned for a moment, then looked up at him, triumphant. "Did you forget that there is a simple spell to unbind a bond?"

Loki backed away from the cell, terrified. "Kuri...don't..."

"O desmós pou den éprepe na gínei,

Dóste mas ti dýnami na to anatrépsoume,

Kai gyríste píso tin óra gia na xekinísei."

Kuri incanted and dark magic swirled around her and then around Loki, lifting them both in the air, and then compacting and hitting them both painfully in the chest and receding.

Loki turned around, walked away from Kuri, disgusted.

"You're a monster." He whispered.

"No, you brought the monster." Kuri laughed, but there was no humor in it. Even her voice now sounded dry, hollow.

The spell had harmed them both.

Loki turned back around; poised. "So, Banner... that's your play."

"What?" Kuri staggered.

"Kuri means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Billie in as well." Loki said and then turned to Kuri, face composed. "Thank you for your cooperation."

Loki quickly walked out, leaving Kuri frozen.
