AN: Hey guys Advance here now your probably wondering... what's happening to the book?
Well the answer is simple. I'm doing a full rewrite. I went through it and cringed a everything so I decided to spare you guys and give this book a whole new make over.
Of course the story will be a little different. And don't worry Atreus is still in the book, but I'm changing his appearance and gender. So without further ado I present A rework of Ruby's twin brother!
(Warning: there is no Jaune Arc in this story. I decided to remove him. Sorry for any of you Jaune Arc fans out there)

It was a cool Summer night and a boy was sleeping peaceful under the covers of his warm blanket. This boy was Crimson Rose.
Said boy was currently having a nightmare about a grimm attack his family. The boy awoke with a gasp as sweat rolled down his body.
The boy looked around the room, his Silver eyes scanning everything that he could see from his bed. After a few seconds the boy finally relaxed and looked at the other bed in the room which held his twin sister, Ruby Rose.
The boy sighed and got off his bed and started to leave his room. With a quiet yawn he entered the bathroom next to his room and look at his reflection.
The boy in the mirror was 5.5, had short black hair with streaks of red going through it. His unique silver eyes shined in the light but this caused the boy to frown. His mother, Summer Rose has been missing for about two weeks and he was getting more and more worried. His sisters might not notice it but he certainly has. Heck, he even asked his Dad who also had no clue was is going on.
The boy quickly did his thing and left the bathroom. As he shut the door, the child heard talking downstairs. Curiosity always got the best of him, so as quietly as a 11 year old can do, he snuck down the stairs and paused when he saw his Dad Tai and Uncle Qrow in the living room.
"What do you mean she's gone" Tai Whispered harshly but the boy can hear the sound of worry and sadness in his voice.
"Tai... we tried, really, we tried everything but Summer's dead." The boy felt his heart stop as what Qrow said. His whole body froze as the feeling of dread washed over him. He didn't want to believe it, he wouldn't believe... they must be lying.
"Prove it, I want proof!" Tai said a little too loud but luckily didn't wake up the other people sleeping. Qrow flinched at his request before reaching into his vest and pulling out a white piece of cloth. He gingerly handed it over to Tai who looked at it and realized this was Summer's cloak that she always wore. Tai fell to his knees and tried his best not to cry but was failing miserably.
Qrow crouched down with him and gave the man a pat on the back. They both sat there in silence not realizing that someone was listening in on them. "Oh Omui what will the kids think?" Qrow once again flinched and looked down at the ground. His nephew and Nieces will probably cry for a few months and might never come out of their rooms.
Crimson stuck to Summer the most since he always loved spending time with her along with Ruby. Now that she is gone... he didn't even want to think how he would react when he realizes his mother is gone and never coming back.
Crimson slowly stood up not wanting to believe what he is hearing. There lying! All of them! His mom was out there, he can feel it, but he knows his Dad will never let him leave so he is left with no other choice but to sneak out.
Crimson snuck back into his room. And started packing anything useful that is in his room. Clothes, books, a map and finally two pictures of his family which he stopped to look at.
The boy looked at it for what felt like hours. It was a picture of Crimson but a bit younge with a girl that was the same age, both hugging a women's legs. She looked exactly like the small girl, just older and much more pretty. He gently stroke the picture before putting it away.
The next photo had more people one it. It had Crimson's dad, Tai and older sister Yang. Along with Uncle Qrow who is drinking from a flask. Crimson put the photo in his bag and zipped it up.
The boy stood up and started to change his clothes. Crimson slipped on a black shirt with a dark red jacket on top. He then put on some black cargo pants with a pair of black sneakers. The boy paused when he heard shuffling, he slowly glanced up to see she his little sister Ruby getting up with a sleepy look in her eyes.
Crimson stood up and walked over to the side of her bed. The girl turned to look at him and give the boy a small smile which he slowly returns.
"Crimson? What are you doing?" Ruby said letting out a cute yawn which caused Crimson to smirk a little bit.
"It's nothing Sis, you should go back to bed" Ruby tilts her head a bit with a small pout.
"But I want some warm milk" Ruby whined. Crimson quietly chuckled and kissed Ruby on the head.
"Alright, I'll get you milk but you have to promise me that you will go to bed. Ruby slowly nodded his head which caused Crimson to stand up and leave the room.
The house was pitch black, no voices were heard down stairs only silence. Crimson snuck down stairs and there layed a sleeping Uncle Qrow on the couch. The boy snuck past him and entered the kitchen. He quickly grabbed a cup and filled it with milk, he warmed it up and as the boy left the kitchen his eyes landed on the neatly folded white cloak on the coffee table.
Crimson bit his lip as he slowly approached the table making sure to be very careful around Qrow. He was always cautious even in his sleep.
Crimson reached forward and grabbed the cloak. It was smooth to the touch and felt surprisingly warm it was as if it was just recently worn. He slowly pulled the cloak away and walked back up stairs and into his room.
As he opened the door there was Ruby quietly waiting for her milk. Crimson walked up to her making sure to hide to cloak from her view.
"Here you go Ruby some nice warm milk" Ruby smiled and quickly chugged it down. Crimson smiled when Ruby yawned again.
"Thanks Crimson, I needed that" Ruby said which only caused him more grief. He didn't want to leave his sister behind but he also doesn't want to hurt her. The boy watched as the girl layed down and closed her eyes. Crimson walked over to his back pack but went stiff when he heard this next. "I love you big bro" Crimson glanced back at the sleeping Ruby and felt the tears building up in his eyes.
"I love you too, Ruby" And with that Crimson stuffed the cloak in his backpack and opened his window. He paused and looked back at Ruby. Making a quick decision he walked back over to Ruby's bed and gave her another kiss on the forehead which caused a smile to spread across the girls face.
Crimson left the room and entered the room next to there which held Crimson's older sister, Yang. The boy stepped into the room and saw the blond bombshell sleeping on her bed with a peaceful expression. Crimson walked up to the girl and similar to Ruby gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.
Crimson went back in his room and left Via, Window. The boy landed in a crotch position and stood up he looked at the forest ahead of him and started walking towards it.
"Are you sure that's a good Idea?" The boy jumped at the voice behind him. He spun around to be face to face with Qrow. "Kid I know you were listening on our conversation, and I know what you're doing" Crimson didn't say anything only stayed silent. "I know I can't stop you, Summer was like that too. Always so stubborn..." Crimson continued to say nothing and let the old hunter talk. "I however can't let you leave unprepared." Crimson tensed at his words but was suprised when Qrow simply threw two weapons down at Crimsons feet along with a bag which looked pretty heavy.
Crimson crouched down and opened the bag. He saw many different food items along with a can opener. He closed the bag and looked at the weapons. One was a simple short sword and the next was a p250 with three 9mm extended mags for the pistol.
"Kid listen, you were always to smart for your own good and I know how much you miss her but this is plain stupid." Qrow sighed. "So I will offer you this, you have one week to look for Summer. And in that week I'm going to pretend I didn't see you, but when that week passes, I'm going to track you down and drag you back kicking and screaming if I have too." Crimson stayed silent before looking at the ground.
"She's out there Qrow... I can feel it" Crimson said quietly. The huntsman frowned and shook his head. "And you never said, you found her body so she could be alive" Crimson said while the Qrow was getting more nervous. He didn't want Crimson running into "her" he already lost Summer, he didn't want to lose his nephew next.
"One week kid" Qrow said firmly trying to get his point across. Crimson nodded and picked up everything and left without a word.
"Goodbye uncle Qrow" Crimson said as he reached the edge of the forest.
"Later pipsqeak" And with that Crimson vanished into the woods while Qrow stood there. "They are not going to be happy about this" Qrow said looking at the open window. "Not one bit"

(One Year Later)
Crimson narrowed his eyes at the town infront of him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a map before marking off the area. The boy nodded his head before walking into town. He looked around taking in the view while also staying alert for anyone suspicious.
Aperntly when his Uncle lost his trail by the end of the month he probably told Ozpin who put up a missing poster which was spread across all kingdoms with a 1 mil Lien reward if he was returned home or to Beacon unharmed... easier said then done.
Crimson has grown paranoid thinking everyone knew his face and tried to capture him to claim that reward. He didn't know what made him so special he was just like everyone else so why did Ozpin help Qrow just to find one kid?
While he was walking down the streets of the village he ran into two children who looked a bit older then him.
One was a boy and the other was a girl. Crimson looked at the duo and gave them a strange look. These two looked like the complete opposite of one another.
The boy looked completely emmo while the girl looked like she was hyped up on a sugar rush times X10. She practically bounced around the boy who didn't say anything and thought it was just another normal day.
Crimson scratched his head before walking past the duo but paused.
"Hey." The duo stopped and looked at the kid that was facing them. They looked him over and realized he was a new face in their small town. And once they got a look at him he seems familiar for some reason. "Have you seen a women travel through here? She looks almost like me but older and well... female" Crimson watched as the orange haired girl's eyes got bigger and her smile gotten even wider.
"Oh now I remember!" the girl them looked at the boy. "Ren! Doesn't he look similar to that pretty lady two years ago?" The boy now named Ren didn't respond but nodded his head. Said boy proceeded to look over Crimson with calculated eyes.
"You wouldn't happen to be her pupil?" Ren questioned. Crimson chuckled and shook his head in denial but being her pupil sounded awsome.
"No. I'm actually her son... she has been missing for two years now... have you seen where she is going or what she was doing when she was here?" The younger boy asked. Ren shook his head meanwhile the girl stopped bouncing around and looked at the younge boy.
"Sadly she only came by to buy some supplies, but I can somewhat remembered that she looked nervous and worried." Crimson didn't say anything his only response was to nod his head in thanks and turn away, heading for the village exit.
"Where are you going?" The girl asked. Crimson paused and looked at the duo. Ren looked at Crimson curiously while the girl look worried.
"My mom isn't here, so I'm off to keep searching" Crimson said but before he could take a step the girl grabbed his arm.
"From what I could tell you haven't eaten anything good in a while, join us for dinner, I'm sure mom and dad will be happy to help" The girl said with a smile. Before Crimson could respond he was dragged by said girl with Ren gripped in her other hand.
"Her name is Nora. And before you ask, yes this is normal for me" Ren said towards Crimson who only shook his head in disbelief.

"Are you sure you have to leave? We wouldn't mind having you around since Nora has grown a like to you, including Ren" Nora's father said towards Crimson who was ready to leave. Of course the family didn't want the boy to leave with no supplies. And no matter how much Crimson turned down the supplies they continued to pester him until he caved in.
"Sadly I have too, my mom is out there, I can't stop now" The boy said while the mother nodded sadly.
"Well, if you ever change your mind, you're always welcome here with open arms." Nora's mother said beside her husband. Crimson smiled and nodded his head. He grabbed his bag full of supplies and left the house of course not without without waving goodbye. After walking down the road he reached the edge of the village and there stood two familiar faces.
"Nora? Ren? What are you two doing here?" Crimson asked a little confused.
"Too say goodbye dummy." Nora said cheerfully before appering next to Crimson and giving him a bone crushing hugs which reminds him of Yang who always forgot her own strength and brakes his back along with Ruby's. Crimson gave a small smile and hugged back.
When Nora let him go Crimson had to stop himself from falling over. Nora giggled and spun around to face Ren who too had a small smile.
"Is was nice meeting you Crimson, maybe will meet in the near future" Ren said with his hand out. Crimson nodded and took the other boys hand giving it a firm shake.
"Group hug!" Nora shouted before giving both boys a hug getting a laugh from Crimson before they were put down. "Crimson" Said boy looked at the bubbly girl who looked at him with a serious look. "I know we only meet you a few hours ago, but I want you to promise me something." The younge boy nodded a little suprised at Nora's serious tone. "Please visit us again. It was a lot more fun with you around"
"Of course, whenever I'm nearby I will stop by and say hello" Crimson said with a smile. Ren nodded while Nora didn't looked to convinced.
"Be warned if you break this promise... I'll break your legs" Nora said darkly. Crimson shrunk when Nora said the last part. From some reason he knew she wasn't bluffing.
With one final goodbye he left the village. He looked behind him to see Nora and Ren waving goodbye. He gave a wave back and started walking away heading North.

(One year later)
Crimsom ran as fast as he could through the forest being chased by a team of hunters. As the days rolled by Crimson's bounty was bumped up another 3 mil and captured by any means necessary. If Crimson was able to he would punch Qrow in the face for doing this to him. He simply wanted to search for mom and he wasn't going to give up and a group of hunters we're stopping him either.
"Come on kid just turn yourself in, we don't want to hurt you." One of the people in the group said. Crimson simply lifted one hand and gave them the middle finger.
Crimson vaulted over a large tree branch and slid under a fallen tree. The boy can hear the team catching up and he was fresh out of ideas. Before the boy can ponder on what to do he tripped and fell down a hill.
"Aahh!" And like that Crimson started to roll down hill hitting everything on the way down. The boy can faintly hear the group of hunters gasp but it was blocked out by the sound of him hitting the grassy floor. Suddenly his head hit a rock and his vision darkened before he fully lost consciousness.
Crimson continued to roll down hill his body hitting everything causing his body to take even more damage. The group of four we're trying to catch up but failing. t
They weren't exactly meant for speed, two of them we're excellent at tracking while the other two had different specialities. One was a Ranger, the other focused mostly on melee.
The Ranger watched as the boy suddenly dissapeared for view and before they could say anything the group were surrounded by Grimm probably by the fear coming off the group since they are extremely worried for the kid and his condition right now. Cause from what the headmaster told them was that the boy didn't have Arua to protect himself with.

Crimson groaned at the large headache he has right now, he opened his eyes and saw he was in a house which looked well furnished and cozy. He glanced around the room before he heard a door open behind him.
Spining around he came face to face with a women who had dark red hair and green emerald eyes with glasses resting on the bridge of her nose.
"Oh your awake! Thank goodness we were worried about you." The women sighed in relief. Crimson raised an eyebrow before looking at his surroundings. The women saw his movement and decided to clear up what happened. "My daughter found you unconscious with a concussion, she dragged you back here where we nursed you back to health."
Crimson blinked at women before nodding his head slowly. The boys eyes caught movement behind the women's leg which caused her to laugh. "Sorry that was my daughter she is a little shy with meeting new people." The women suddenly moved aside allowing Crimson to see a girl that was a few years older then him.
Crimson rasied an eyebrow and waved at her.
"Hey" Crimson said smoothly. The mother laughed while the girl was gently pushed forward by her mother. Crimson got to his feet and gave her a smile that his mother always loved. "Names Crimson, what your name" And when those words left his mouth both daughter and mother stared at the boy like he was the rarest thing know to man kind. "What?"
"You... don't know who she is?" The mother asked quietly. Crimson shook his head and he swore he saw the small girls eyes shine in happiness.
"No... should I?" Crimson asked with clear confusion written over his face. The mother squealed happily while the girl could only stare before she smiled so brightly Crimson almost went blind from that smile alone. Meanwhile Crimson was completely lost and has no clue what's going on.
"Oh don't worry about it, my name is Pyrrha, nice to meet you" The small little red head said with a bright smile that could blind anyone who stared which Crimson kindly demonstrated. Crimson nodded his head while the mother continued to hop around happily.
"Ok, thanks for helping me out Pyrrha, I wished there was a way for me to repay you" Crimson said while Pyrrha's smile only widen. Which kind of worried Crimson.
"There is one thing you could for me" Pyrrha said with a thinking face. Crimson stared at the girl and waited. "I want you too... become my friend" there was silence. Crimson only chuckled and nodded his head.
"Sure Pyrrha, that seems like an easy request" Crimson was suddenly in a tight hug by Pyrrha who was all sorts of happy. Realizing what she did, she started to apologize quickly.
"Sorry, it's just I lost all my friends, two years ago, so that makes you my only friend at the moment" Crimson was suprised at what Pyrrha said. But how did that happen. Many thoughts went through Crimson's head before he brushed it away wanting to sit on it for a later date.
Meanwhile the mother simply watched everything before she looked at Crimson with a small smile. She had a good feeling about him.

It's been a week since Crimson crashed at Pyrrha's place. He was a little surprised at how big the place was and would sometimes get lost.
Thankfully Pyrrha always caught him walking aimlessly around the house. So with nothing much to do she decided to show Crimson around the house.
Meanwhile the boy was thinking on what to do now. In that week he looked around and asked for any info about his mom. Sadly only a few knew where she went. And that was to the Grimm lands...
So when he was alone, Crimson would cry his eyes out realizing, him mom was really gone, no matter how good of a hunter not many can come back from the Grimm lands unscathed or back out alive, Qrow said it himself along with Summer.
After so long, he followed a path that has gone cold long ago. Summer was gone and he left his family for nothing. But he couldn't go back, he was scared on how they would react. He already lost his mom he didn't want to lose anyone else.
So with that Crimson decided to leave.
The two females in the house were heartbroken to hear that Crimson was going to leave. That's when Crimson noticed Pyrrha started to look worried.
"Are you alright Pyrrha?" Crimson asked the red head. Said girl looked up at the boy and nodded her head.
"Crimson, if I ever became famous, would you still be my friend" now that was an odd question but he answered truthfully.
"As long as you don't change who you are, it doesn't matter to me if your famous or not, you will always be my friend Pyrrha no matter how popular you are" Crimson said with a smile. He couldn't see it but the girl blushed and looked away bashfully.
After a few more words were exchanged Crimson left with a heavy heart and the weight of the world on his shoulder. He looked back to wave at Pyrrha and her mother before turning away and leaving.
But as he turned away a frown replaced his smile. His eyes grew distant as a few tears left his eyes. Qrow was right... and he was wrong, but why does it feel like she out there? Crimson couldn't place it but it did bring a small bit of hope back into his body.
Silently Crimson grabbed his jacket and threw it aside before reaching into his backpack and pulling out a familiar white cloak. Without much thought Crimson slipped it on then pulled the hood over his head hiding all of his features from the world.

AN: There it is folks a Rewrite of Chapter one, now I've been working on this for a while now and thinking of different paths that I could take.
So I decided to remove Jaune and let Crimson take his place, reason... Juane wasn't my favorite character to be honest with you and he was such a whimp to be honest.
Now I will start working on the next chapter rewrite which I hope you will enjoy!
