Rise Above (Origins, Part 2)
The scene opens in the studio of TVi studio where a reporter named Nadja Chamack is updating Paris on the stone creatures in the city. A small screens shows one of Stoneheart's minions.
"The stone beings are scattered all over Paris, and for the time being, they are showing no signs of movement. Police have cordoned off the area." said Nadja as a variety of pictures of Stoneheart's minions is shown. It now shows Mayor André Bourgeois with Officer Roger at his right
"We won't stop until we find a way to get these people back to their normal selves, but for now, we're not making much headway." said André
The camera then pans back to Nadja with an image of the three heroes. Ladybug is on the left, Cat Noir is on the right, and Spider-Man is in the middle.
"Paris is relying on our new guardian angels, Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Spider-Man to save us all. Our lives depend on them." said Nadja
It shows that Marinette and Marlin are watching the news in the kitchen. Their father notices this and walks up to them
"Listen, I know how upsetting and scary this is, but don't worry, you two; we've got three superheroes looking out for Paris, and the best way of helping them is to show them that we're not scared, because we trust them." said Tom attempting to cheer them on
Marlin smiles at this
"But what if Ladybug fails?" Marinette asked sadly
Marlin looks at his sister in worry
"Then I'd come and save you. Super Baker to the rescue!" said Tom
"And don't forget Super bro!" added Marlin
"Thanks, Super Dad!" giggled Marinette as she kisses her dad on the cheek. "And thank you, super bro." said Marinette as she kisses Marlin on both of his cheeks.
"Oh, sis" said Marlin embarassed
Marinette then heads to her room while Marlin heads to his own room. Inside Marlin's room, Marlin was getting his stuff ready for school. Arachnus then appears
"Is there something on you mind, Marlin?" asked Arachnus
"It's Marinette" sighed Marlin
"Your sister?"
"Yeah. I just saw her with a sad look on her face. I hope she's okay." said Marlin as he felt worried
"Well, why don't you talk to her about it." advised Arachnus
"Sure. But what if she doesn't want to talk about it?" asked Marlin
"Then give her some time. Wait until she's ready." said Arachnus
Marlin nods his head
The Dupain-Cheng twins then heads off to school. Marlin notices his sister with a depressed look. Taking Arachnus' advice, Marlin walks up to his sister.
"Hey sis. Is something wrong?" asked Marlin
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing, bro." answered Marinette
"Are you sure? It doesn't sound like nothing" said Marlin as he believed that something is on his sister's mind.
"Really, Marlin. I'm fine!" insisted Marinette
"Okay" said Marlin as he decides to let it go for now
Marinette looks at her brother and asked, "Hey, Marlin? Can I ask you something?"
"Sure"
"What do you think of Ladybug?" asked Marinette
"What do I think of her? I think she's a great hero. Not only is she pretty, but she's also clever with the use of her yo-yo and lucky charm. She's the best." answered Marlin
Marinette blushes at what Marlin said, but she shakes it off
"But you saw what happened on the news. She failed to capture the akuma. Now it has infected some of the citizens. Maybe she's just not cut out to be a hero" said Marinette sadly
"Hey it was just one mistake. Don't everyone make mistakes?" asked Marlin
"Um yes?" Marinette said a little unsure
They then crossed the street
"Listen, Marinette. Ladybug may have failed to captured the akuma, but I'm sure she'll learn from it. There's always a chance for her to make things right." said Marlin
"I'm still not so sure." said Marinette feeling unconvinced
Marlin frowns but then says something else
"You know a wise person once told me 'With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility'." said Marlin
"What does that mean?" asked Marinette
"It means that a person must not take their power or privilege lightly. They also have to use it responsibly depending on what they choose to do. It was Ladybug's responsibility to capture the akuma. Although she failed, Ladybug can still do the right thing." explained Marlin
"How do you know?" asked Marinette
"Let's just say I have a lot to think about. My point is that one failure should not get a person down. They should also learn from it and try to see what they can do to improve. And I'm sure Ladybug will do the same." continued Marlin
Marinette smiles
"You're right, bro. Thanks for the advice." said Marinette as pats Marlin's head. "You always know how to help a sister out!"
Marlin laughs nervously
"Now let's get to school" said Marinette
"Can we stop by at a candy store first? I need to get some chocolate" said Marlin
"What for?" asked Marinette curiously
"Um, I need to get some for someone I know" said Marlin as he tries to come up with an excuse
"Okay" said Marinette as she was still confused by this
"Thanks" said Marlin
After stopping by at a candy store, the Dupain-Cheng siblings made their way to school where they met up with Alya. She was showing them a certain blog.
"Ladyblog, bringing you all the latest news about the coolest superhero, Ladybug! How awesome is that?! Check out the number of views since I posted the video!" said Alya
"That's very cool, Alya! Did you get any footage of Spider-Man?" asked Marlin
"I sure did. Especially the part where he distracted Stoneheart. He was so funny" laughed Alya
"But why do you trust Ladybug so much?" asked Marinette. "All these stone beings…"
"She's gonna handle 'em." replied Alya confidently
"But what if she's not really cut out to be a superhero even though everyone thinks she is?" Marinette asked
"What are you talking about, girl?" asked Alya. She then gasped. "Oh, wait. I know what this is about." continued Alya. Marinette widens her eyes while Marlin looks surprised. "You're scared, but don't be! I've seen her with my own two eyes, girl! Ladybug is a true superheroine! She's going to protect us all! I believe in her." she said.
"You sure do, Alya. You sure do" said Marlin
Alya smiles and walks off. Marinette smiles as she also remembered what Marlin told her earlier. She then looks down at her purse as she follows after Alya. Marlin also smiles as he follows after them. As they walked to the courtyard, they see some students gathered around Ivan. One of them is a girl named Alix, another girl named Rose, Juleka, Max, Nino, and Kim. Another girl with strands of her hair dyed in different colors was watching away from the crowd. Her name was Mylène.
"So you really don't remember anything?" asked Alix
"You were totally going ballistic. It was so cool!" said Juleka with an emo voice
"You were seriously out to crush me, dude!" added Kim
"Oh, I'm sorry… I wasn't myself…" Ivan apologized
Marlin walks up to the crowd
"Hey there!" greeted Marlin
The crowd looks at him and smile at him. Juleka blushes when she sees Marlin.
"Greetings, Marlin" greeted Max
"H-Hi, Marlin" said Juleka shyly
"I'm sorry if I interrupted, but I can't help but overhear your conversation." said Marlin
"Oh no, you didn't. In fact you can join if you want" replied Alix
"Thanks" said Marlin as he looks at Ivan. "You're name is Ivan, right?", he asked
"Yes. How did you know?" Ivan wondered
"I heard it from my sister." He answered. "Anyway, is it true about what they were saying? That you don't remember anything after being akumatized?" Marlin asked.
"Yeah. The last thing I remembered was going straight to Mr. Damocles' office. And then I don't remember much afterwards." Ivan said as he try to remember
Just then, Chloé and Sabrina comes up to them
"Pff! Once a monster, always a monster." said Chloé with a scoff
'Oh great. Not her' thought Marlin
Ivan gets angry and marches off causing the crowd to gasp.
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" mocked Chloé
Marlin angrily glares at the Chloé. Marinette and Alya also glares at her
Meanwhile, in Hawk Moth's lair...
"Yes… feel the burn of those words. Lose your temper, Ivan! Your akuma awaits you." said Hawk Moth as flicks his cane with the akuma in it.
Back at the high school, Alya angrily confronts Chloé
"How could you say that to Ivan? You're the real Stoneheart." Alya said
"Ugh, so I'm the one who broke Sabrina's dad's arm, am I? Just because your footage of those lame superheroes was shown on TV, doesn't mean you have to get so high and mighty." said Chloé as she blew a bubblegum at her face
"You little…" said Alya angrily
"Look out, she's angry! She's going to split her underwear and turn into a huge muscly monster!" taunted Chloé
Alya huffs and walks off. This cause Marlin to snap
"What is wrong with you!? Do you delight in making people's lives miserable?!" yelled Marlin
"I don't see what you're complaining about. I'm just showing all you losers that I am better than you" replied Chloé
"Really?! You think you're so superior?! You really think that just because you're the mayor's daughter, you can just treat us like garbage!? Well I won't stand for it! You, Chloé Bourgeois, are nothing but a spoiled, selfish, snobby, and heartless brat!" exclaimed Marlin pointing at her.
Everyone gasp as Marlin said those things to Chloé, especially Sabrina
"Whoa. Sick burn" Nino said in amazement.
"How dare you talk like that to me!" growled Chloé
"Oh, I dare. Because it's true! And as long as I breathe, I'm won't let you bully anyone here." said Marlin defiantly
"I like to see you try! I always get I what I want!" Chloé said
The two both glare at each other as sparks were flying. Just then, a teenage boy with blonde hair and green eyes appeared. He was wearing a white jacket, black shirt, blue jeans, orange sneakers, and a handbag. This was Adrien Agreste.
"Hey, Chloé!" Adrien said
Seeing him made Chloé very excited
"Adrikins! You came!" cheered Chloé as she rushes over to Adrien and gives him a big hug! Soon other students begin to come up to him
'So that's Adrien in the flesh. Hmm. He looks a little taller compared to the pictures I've seen him in.' thought Marlin
The Dupain-Cheng twins are seen walking into the locker room
"Remind me again why we're going into the locker room?" asked Marlin
"Because bro, we need to help out Ivan." explained Marinette
"And how do you know he would be here?" Marlin asked
"Um. Just call it a hunch" said Marinette
The siblings then noticed Ivan sitting on the ground with headphones. They approach Ivan and kneel on each side. Ivan notices them and takes off his headphone
"Uh, hello again, Ivan" greeted Marlin
"Hey" said Ivan
"You know, you should tell Mylène how you feel." said Marinette
"I… don't know what you're talking about." said Ivan
"Come on, I saw the way you look at her." said Marinette. Ivan sighs and looks down "No! No negative emotions, Ivan."
This causes Ivan to look at her skeptically
"She's right Ivan. You need to look on the bright side. Be positive." added Marlin
"Besides, I'm sure Mylène has feelings for you too. Go talk to her." said Marinette
"I'm no good with words anyway." scoffed Ivan
"You don't need words to express how you feel. There are other ways like drawing her a picture and maybe writing a poem. Or maybe a song." advised Marlin
Ivan smiles as he heard that
"Yeah. Write her a song" Ivan said getting the idea
"That's a good idea, Marlin! What girl wouldn't want a love song written especially for her? Go for it, Ivan, and, uh–, stay positive." Marinette said
Ivan nods and runs off happily. The twins watch as he leaves the locker room
"Do you think our advice will work?" asked Marlin a little unsure
"I'm sure, bro. As long as he stays positive. Come on, let's get to class" Marinette said
The siblings then walk out of the locker room
"By the way, Marlin. Do you have any feelings for someone?" Marinette asked her brother
"Um, nope" fibbed Marlin
"Well, what about that girl, Juleka. Remember when we were young? You would blush whenever we hang out with her." teased Marinette
"I don't have a crush on her!" exclaimed Marlin but he realized what he just said. "Okay, maybe I do. But I'm not sure if she feels the same way" he admitted
"Don't worry, bro. I'm sure she will. You just need to wait for the right time. I'm sure you will get your chance." Marinette said
"I guess you're right. Thanks, sis." said Marlin gratefully
Marinette smiled and said, "No problem"
At Hawk Moth's lair, he senses Ivan's negative emotions fading
"The negative emotions! They're fading!" yelled Hawk Moth as he groans in irritation
The Dupain-Cheng siblings along with Alya were walking to their class. Marinette walks up to Alya
"Alya, wouldn't you like to be a superhero and go out and fight monsters and villains?" asked Marinette
"Totally! I'm not scared of anyone! Why?" answered Alya
"Oh! No reason" said Marinette as she secretly puts a red box into Alya's bag
Marlin looks at his sister strangely. He has no idea what she was doing, but decides not to question it. They then made it inside Miss Bustier's classroom. Marlin began to make his way to his seat when he suddenly heard Marinette yelling.
"Hey! What are you doing!?"
Marlin turns around to see his sister looking at Adrien, who was at her seat.
"Uhhh… I…" stuttered Adrien
Chloé and Sabrina begins laughing.
"Okay. I get it. Good job, you three. Very funny." said Marinette feeling annoyed
Adrien quickly stood up
"No, no, I was just trying to take this off!" Adrien tried to explain
"Oh, really?" asked Marinette irritably
She walks over to her seat to take what appears to be gum off. But it didn't work. Chloé and Sabrina continue to laugh. Marinette covers the gum with a napkin.
"You're friends with Chloé, right?" asked Marinette as she glared at Alya
"Why do people keep saying that?" complained Adrien
Marinette huffs and sat in her seat. Adrien sadly walks to another seat.
"Now do you see what I mean about respect?" Chloé said to Adrien
Marlin narrows his eyes at Chloé as he feels that she was responsible for this. He then took his seat next to Max
'I don't know what happened back there, but I should probably talk to Adrien when class is over.' thought Marlin
Meanwhile, Mylène had just burst out of a stall in the girl's bathroom and raced to the door
"Oh no, I'm gonna be late." said Mylène
As she leaves the bathroom, she screams when she sees Ivan in front of her
"Ivan, you scared me." said Mylène
"I made this for you" said Ivan as he takes out his phone and plays very loud rock music. Ivan then begins to sing very loudly. "Mylène, be serene, don't be so mean!"
Unfortunately, this caused Mylène to run away in fright. Seeing this, Ivan wads up his music sheet, throws his phone to the ground and stomps on it, and then sits down
Back in Hawk Moth's lair, the villain senses Ivan's negative emotions again. The circular window opens
"Yes. This is what I've been waiting for. You know the way, evil akuma. Track down your prey!" said Hawk Moth, as the akuma comes out of his cane and out the circular window. "Fly away and evilize him!"
The akuma flew into the locker room where Ivan is sitting and goes into the crumpled up paper, evilizing Ivan again. The pink mask appeared on Ivan's face.
"This is your second chance, Stoneheart, and this time you have extra help. No one will stop you from capturing the love of your life. Just remember, I'll need something in return." Hawk Moth said telepathically
Ivan smirks evilly as he is covered in darkness and becomes Stoneheart again with his eyes glowing. Just then, the Stoneheart beings awaken and begins to rampage in the city of Paris.
Back in Miss Bustier's classroom, she was taking attendance
"Agreste, Adrien?" called Miss Bustier
Adrien becomes confused. Nino leans over
"You say "present"." whispered Nino
Adrien stood up and raised his hand.
"Uh, present!" he yelled
All the other students laugh, even Marlin chuckled a bit. Adrien looked sheepishly andsat back down and does a fist bump with Nino
"Bourgeois, Chloé?" Miss Bustier called out
"Present!" yelled Chloé
In Marlin's hood pocket, Arachnus begins to sense something
"Bruel, Ivan?" called Miss Bustier
Suddenly, Stoneheart bashes through the door to the classroom
"Oh no!" gasped Marlin
"PRESENT!" yelled Stoneheart. He then looks at Mylène. "Mylène?"
He walks up to her. While the other students panic and scatter, Adrien sneaks out. Stoneheart grabs Mylène
"Let go of me, Ivan!" cried Mylène
"I'm not Ivan anymore. I'm Stoneheart." said Stoneheart
"Why are you doing this?" asked Mylène
"So you and I can be together forever!" answered Stoneheart
Stoneheart turns to see Chloé calling her father on her phone
"Daddy, the monster is back!" called Chloé
Stoneheart then grabs Chloé causing her to scream. Stoneheart then kicks the wall to make a big hole and jumps out. He then begins to march off into the city. Alya turns to the Dupain-Cheng siblings.
"Come on! Let's follow him!" Alya said
"Uh… Oh, no. You go. I'm finding myself a safe place to hide." said Marinette as she was trying to find a way to get out of it
"She's right. And I'm going to do just that. Right now!" said Marlin as he rushes out of the classroom. Marlin and Alya both watch this in confusion
"Okay?" said Alya in confusion
Marlin rushed into the boy's room and into an empty stall. Arachnus comes out of his pocket
"Looks like class is out for today. Ivan's been akumatized again." said Marlin
"I know, Marlin. I just sensed it" replied Arachnus
"Really?" asked Marlin suprrised
"Yeah, spider-sense. It warns you when danger is near. I also possess it when I'm out of the miraculous." Arachnus explained
"Thanks for the info, Arachnus. But right now, we have just one assignment to complete!" said Marlin with determination
"Say the word, kid!" said Arachnus
Marlin holds up bracelet and says, "Arachnus, Webs Up!"
Arachnus is absorbed into the bracelet and Marlin transforms into the black and gold clad hero, Spider-Man. The webslinger then burst out of the boy's restroom and proceeds to swing out of the school.
Meanwhile in the streets of Paris, Stoneheart is still carrying Mylène and Chloé
"You have no idea who you're dealing with. My daddy, the mayor, will bring in the police, the army, the entire cavalry!" said Chloé
Just then, Cat Noir jumped above Stoneheart
"And don't forget the superheroes!" said Cat Noir as jumps up. He hits Stoneheart with his staff and lands on the ground. But this only made Stoneheart bigger
"Oh no. My bad." said Cat Noir as remembered what happened last time
"Ugh. Super incompetent, you mean." scoffed Chloé
"Ha! You wanted the cavalry? Well, here it is!" laughed Stoneheart
The stone beings arrive and surround Cat Noir
"Seize him!" commanded Stoneheart
The stone beings start to attack Cat Noir, but he dodges every one of their attempts. With the feline hero distracted, Stoneheart stomps off with Mylène and Chloé still in his grasp. Cat Noir still dodges the stone giants' attacks, but he accidentally trips. Just as one of the stone beings was about to stomp on him, two web lines stick to his back and pulls him away.
"Yo, Cat Noir! Am I late for the show?" asked Spider-Man in a joking manner
Cat Noir turns to see Spider-Man holding two web lines. He smiles
"Hey, Spider-Man. You're actually right on time" said Cat Noir
"That's good" said Spider-Man as he looked at the stone beings. "I wanted to see a rock band, but this is too much!"
"Tell me about it!" said Cat Noir
In another part of the city, Alya races over and hid behind a green trash can to watch Cat Noir and Spider-Man dodge the stone beings
"If you can hear me, Ladybug, we could use a little help!" yelled out Cat Noir
They dodge an attack from a Stoneheart
"Make that a big help!" yelled Spider-Man
Alya looks around for Ladybug and whispered, "What's she waiting for?"
Marinette then runs over to see the two heroes trying to hold off the stone giants. One of them threw a car at them, but they dodge it. The car then bounced and head towards Alya who attempts to escape. Spidey gasps while Cat Noir attempts to stop it with his staff, but that did no good as the car trapped Alya.
"No!" screamed Spider-Man.
One of the stone beings grabbed both Cat Noir and another grabbed Spider-Man. The stone beings then walk off. Marinette dropped Alya's bag in shock as she watched this.
"Hey, put me down!" yelled Spider-Man
"Let go, you rockhead!" Cat Noir yelled out
Alya struggles to get out of the car
"HELP!" screamed Alya
Seeing this, Marlin's words came back to Marinette

Marinette then begins to have a look of determination and opens Alya's bag.
After a few minutes, Alya was still struggling to get out of the car when Ladybug's yo-yo wrapped around the around the car. Ladybug then pulls which makes the car lift up a bit. This allows Alya to escape. Alya then falls on her knees to catch her breath.
"You can't stay here. It's too dangerous." said Ladybug
She uses her yo-yo to pick up Cat Noir's staff and swings off to help her teammates. Ladybug jumps over the stone beings and a building.
"Cat Noir!" yelled Ladybug as she threw the staff at Cat Noir, "Extend it!"
Cat Noir grabs the staff and extends it to break himself out of the stone being's hold. As Cat Noir feel to the ground, Ladybug uses her yo-yo to tie Cat Noir by the leg and pull him away. Seeing this, Spider-Man uses his spider strength to get himself out of the other stone being's hold.
"Huh?" the stone being grunted in confusion
Spider-Man then webs in the stone being's eyes, blinding it. He then runs on his back and bounces off and lands a streetlight that Ladybug is on.
"Ladybug, you're here!" said Spider-Man with relief
"I sure am, Spider-Man. Sorry, I was late" apologized Ladybug
"M'lady, have I ever told you you turn my world upside down?" Cat Noir quipped
"Good one, Cat" chuckled Spider-Man
"Thanks" thanked Cat Noir
"Oh, you're quite the jokester, aren't you?" said Ladybug. She sees the Stoneheart beings closing in on them. "But your comedic timing needs work. We gotta get out of here!"
"Good call, Ladybug. Let's skedaddle." Spider-Man says
Ladybug jumps to the building with Cat Noir in tow. Spider-Man also leaps to the building, climbs up and follows her. Cat Noir was then free and the three heroes begin to leap and swing through the rooftops.
"Hey, aren't we going to take care of 'em?" asked Cat Noir
Ladybug looks at her yo-yo that shows an image of the Eiffel Tower. "No. If we wanna save them all, then we go to the source. That one!" replied Ladybug
The three heroes landed at Trocadero where they see Stoneheart climbing the Eiffel Tower
"Of course, if we take out the leader, then all the other Stone beings would go back to normal" Spider-Man said, understanding what she meant
"Exactly" Ladybug said with a wink
At the Eiffel Tower, the police helicopters surrounded it as Stoneheart was on it. There was even barricades around the tower as well.
"I demand my daughter's safe return!" André shouted through a megaphone
"Daddy!" yelled Chloé
"You know what? You're welcome to her!" said Stoneheart. He throws Chloé down causing her to scream. André screams as well
"Help! I promise I'll be nice to everyone, say please and thank you all-" yelled Chloé
Spider-Man swings over and catches Chloé. They then land on the ground
"I didn't promise" said Chloé as she gets off Spider-Man and runs to her father
"Um, you're welcome?" Spider-Man said in disbelief
Chloé and André both hug each other
"My little princess" André said in relief
"We're clear to attack!" said Roger as the police men aim their guns at Stoneheart. Ladybug and Cat Noir appear on both sides of Spider-Man
"Wait! No, don't attack them! You know it'll only make it worse!" yelled Ladybug
"I have a new plan, unlike you! Move aside and let the pros do their thing. You've already failed once!" said Roger
What he said caused Ladybug to gasp. She looks down feeling glum
"He's right, you know. If I had captured Stoneheart's akuma the first time around, none of this would have happened! I knew I wasn't the right one for this job!" Ladybug said as she covered her face
The two heroes looked at her sadly. Spider-Man then placed his hand on her shoulder
"Snap out of it, Ladybug! Now is not the time to beat yourself up!" said Spider-Man
Cat Noir places his hand on her other shoulder
"He's right. Because without you, she'd no longer be here. And because without us, they won't make it, and we'll prove that to 'em." added Cat Noir
"Yeah. And besides, all people make mistakes. Even superheroes. So don't let your failure get you down. You can still make things right." encouraged Spider-Man
"Trust us on this. Okay?" asked Cat Noir
"Okay!" said Ladybug in determination
The three heroes then hear coughing. They turn to see Stoneheart painfully coughing. He then coughed up a flock of akumas and fell to the ground. The akumas then form into the face of Hawk Moth.
"People of Paris, listen carefully. I am Hawk Moth." the supervillain announced
"Hawk Moth?" the three heroes questioned
"Ladybug, Cat Noir, Spider-Man! Give me the ladybug earrings, the cat ring, and the spider bracelet now. You've done enough damage to these innocent people!" continued Hawk Moth
Ladybug claps her hand in a sarcastic way as she slowly walks forward.
"Nice try, Hawk Moth, but we know who the bad guy is. Let's not reverse the roles here. Without you, none of these innocent victims would be transformed into villains. Hawk Moth, no matter how long it takes, we will find you, and YOU will hand us YOUR Miraculous!" said Ladybug
Spider-Man also steps up
"Yeah! You can throw as many villains as you want, Hawk Moth. But we won't give up until we defeat you and bring you to justice!" added Spider-Man
Ladybug smiles and nods her head at what the webslinger said. She then jumps up and uses her yo-yo to capture the akumas
"Time to de-evilize!" shouted Ladybug
Hawk Moth screams in pain as Ladybug captured all the akumas. Cat Noir and Spider-Man watches this in amazement. Ladybug then lands on the Eiffel Tower
"Let me make this promise to you. No matter who wants to harm you, Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Spider-Man will do everything in our power to keep you safe!" announced Ladybug as she looked at everyone.
She opens her yo-yo and unleashes all the purified akumas that are now regular butterflies. They all flew up into the sky. Everyone who was watching this on T.V. cheers at this
"Wow. Whoever she is beneath that mask, I love that girl." said Cat Noir dreamily
"She sure is amazing!" Spider-Man commented
In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth was very disgusted at what has transpired.
"Agh! That's the problem with superheroes. They're too… heroic!", complained Hawk Moth. "Stoneheart, they're trying to take your loved one away from you. You must snatch their miraculouses so they will be powerless against you!" he commanded
"Okay, Hawk Moth" Stoneheart said as he stood back up
"Help me!" cried Mylène
The three heroes ran up to Stoneheart
"You'll never take Mylène from me!" yelled Stoneheart as he leaps onto the Eiffel Tower. "Come to me, my stone beings!" he ordered
The Stone beings begin to climb up the Eiffel Tower. Cat Noir and Spider-Man both watch this from part of the Tower
"What do we do? We're surrounded!" said Spider-Man
"Yeah. And we can't attack them" added Cat Noir
"Yes, but we know where the akuma is." replied Ladybug
"Yes, in his closed fist." said Spider-Man
"The one he's holding Mylène with. So…" Cat Noir began
"So we know he's in love with her." said Ladybug. She then gets an idea "That's it! We don't separate Stoneheart and Mylène: we bring them closer together! They're made for one another! It's just that they don't know it yet."
"That's a good idea, Ladybug. But how do we do that?" questioned Spider-Man
"Just follow my lead" Ladybug told him
"Ugh. Not really following you, but guess I better trust you. Something tells me that this is how it's gonna be from here on out." said Cat Noir
The three heroes begin to scale the Eiffel Tower. Spider-Man was able to keep up with his allies with his adhesive ability and his enhanced jumping. He also used his webbings as he kept up with Ladybug. Ladybug and Spider-Man reached the top of the Eiffel Tower.
"Help! I'm scared of heights!", shouted Mylène
"Everything's gonna be alright!" Ladybug said
"Just leave everything to us!" added Spider-Man
At the bottom, Cat Noir was holding off the stone beings
"How are you planning to get them closer than they already are?" asked Cat Noir
"By using our powers!" answered Ladybug as she throws up her yo-yo, "Lucky Charm!"
The yo-yo produces magical ladybugs which forms into a parachute which falls into Ladybug's hands
"A parachute? What am I supposed to do with this?" questioned Ladybug
Cat Noir is thrown upwards and falls down, but he was able to save himself
"You sure you know what you're doing?" asked Cat Noir
"We'll find out soon enough!" Ladybug said as she puts on the parachute. She then look at Spider-Man. "Hey, Spider-Man. Mind giving me a hand?"
"Sure thing, Ladybug" said Spider-Man with a smile
Ladybug throws her yo-yo and wraps it around Stoneheart's hand. Spider-Man also shot two web lines and sticks to Stoneheart's hand as well.
"His hand! Get ready to pull!" Ladybug said to Spider-Man
"Got it!" said Spider-Man as he got ready
The two heroes pull with all their might as they made Stoneheart's fist with Mylène in it come towards his face. As she got closer to Stoneheart, Mylène kisses Stoneheart. Stoneheart was so surprise that he accidentally let's go of Mylène and the akumatized paprer. Luckilly, she was able to grab onto Stoneheart's finger. Cat Noir dives after the akumatized and hits it with his staff to send it flying back up as he saved himself. Ladybug catches the akumatized paper with her yo-yo.
"Homerun!" said Ladybug
She breaks the object which causes the akuma to fly out.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma." Ladybug said as she opens her yo-yo. "De-evilize— Huh?"
Before she can capture the akuma, she sees that Stoneheart transforms back into Ivan. He and Mylène then begins to fall. Ladybug gasps
"Don't worry Ladybug, I got Mylène. You take care of the akuma" said Spider-Man as he dives down after Mylène
"Cat Noir, take care of Ivan!" yelled Ladybug
Cat Noir's ring begins to glow as he used his power
"Cataclysm!"
The feline hero launches himself with his staff and struck part of the Eiffel Tower which causes the girdle to fall on the side. He then slides on it and catches Ivan. Spider-Man then got close to Mylène and catches her. He then shot a web line at part of the tower. They swing and landed safely on the ground. Spider-Man then puts Mylène down.
"Are you okay?" asked Spider-Man
"Yeah. Thank you." said Mylène in a shaky voice
Ladybug smiles at this and then uses her yo-yo to capture the akuma. She then begins to jump off the tower and pulls the string to activate it. She then reaches the ground.
"Good work, Spider-Man" said Ladybug
"Thanks, Ladybug. Did you get the akuma?" asked Spider-Man
"I sure did" replied Ladybug. She opens her yo-yo to let out the purified akuma which is turned back into a regular butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous ladybug!"
She throws the parachute into the air and it bursts into a bunch of magical ladybugs. It begins to change all the people that have turned into stone beings back to normal and fix all the damage that has been done.
"Whoa. Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Cat Noir asked
"Yeah. It's Spectacular! Sensational!" replied Spider-Man in amazement
"It's beautiful and amazing. It's… uh… Miraculous!" shouted Ladybug
In Hawk Moth's lair, the butterfly villain was very furious
"This is just the beginning, Ladybug. You, Cat Noir, and Spider-Man may have won this battle, but I will win the war. I will get your Miraculouses. I will get the absolute power! And then my secret dream will come true!" vowed Hawk Moth as the circular window closes.
As the police begins to clear the barriers, Ladybug walks up to Ivan and Mylène
"I think you two have things to talk about. Hm?" suggested Ladybug
"Oh, uh… I… Uh…" stuttered Ivan as he blushed.
"Maybe it would help if you read the lyrics to Ivan's song." said Ladybug as she gives the sheet of paper to Mylène. Ladybug then walks up to Spider-Man and Cat Noir who were watching the whole thing. Mylène reads it and begins to realize her mistake
"Wow, it's really beautiful. It's a shame you can't hear them when you scream. I mean, when you sing." said Mylène
"It was scary, wasn't it. Is that why you left? I'm sorry, I'll be gentle" apologized Ivan
Mylène smiles and gives Ivan a hug. The three heroes smile as they watch this
"Aww! They're so made for each other." said Ladybug as she gushed at the scene
"I agree" muttered Spider-Man
"Like us two" added Cat Noir. He tries to put his hand on Ladybug, but his ring begins to beep
"Uh oh. You see that? Time to split. See you soon, Cat Noir." said Ladybug
"Can't wait, m'lady." Cat Noir said with a bow and turns to Spider-Man. "And I'll see you later, Spidey"
"Later, Cat" Spider-Man said with a wave
Cat Noir then runs off
"I'm gonna head off too. See ya, Ladybug!" said Spider-Man as he swings off.
Ladybug watches him swing away. She still feel something familiar about the wallcrawler
"Yeah. See ya" Ladybug muttered as she swings away
In Marlin's room, our hero had just changed back and is resting on his bed along with his kwami
"Phew. I'm exhausted" said the tired Marlin
"A hero's work is never easy, Marlin." replied Arachnus
"I know" said Marlin as he sat up. "I think I'm starting to understand what being a hero is all about."
"You do?" asked Arachnus curiously
"Yep. It's not all fun and games. It's about being there for the people who are in trouble and owning up to the responsibility." answered Marlin. "The responsibility to help my new allies and helping innocent people. Being Spider-Man also means to rise up to challenges no matter how difficult it may be. That will also include balancing my life as both Marlin and Spider-Man."
"Now you're really learning, kid" Arachnus said with a smirk
"Thanks. But that villain: Hawk Moth. He's still out there and who knows when he'll akumatize another victim." Marlin said with a frown
"Exactly. He'll stop at nothing until he acquires your Miraculous along with Ladybug and Cat Noir's." said Arachnus
"I guess when he does strike. We'll be ready for him. And when we defeat him, we'll unmask him." said Marlin as he clench his fist
Arachnus smiles and nods at his holder's resolve
The next day, the Dupain-Cheng siblings and Alya were walking to school
"So, by the time I biked to the Eiffel Tower, it was all over. I'm way bummed." Alya told them
"Don't worry. You'll get your scoop eventually." reassured Marinette
"You're right. Next target: Ladybug, an exclusive interview!" said Alya
"Will you also interview Spider-Man too?" asked Marlin curiously
"Sure. If I get the chance." answered Alya
"It sounds exciting" said Marinette
"Oh, wait! Even better: finding out who's really under that mask." replied Alya
"Let's not go too far, Alya. Just stick with the interview" Marlin suggested
"Marlin's right. And if you do try to find out who's under Ladybug's mask. Well, good luck with that." Marinette said agreeing with her brother
As they reached the school, Marlin notices Adrien coming out of a car
"Um. You girls go on ahead. I need to take care of something." said Marlin
"Sure thing, Marlin" said Alya
Marlin splits off from the girls and walks right up to Adrien
"Hey. Adrien, right?" asked Marlin
"Yeah, that's me. Who are you?" asked Adrien
"My name is Marlin. I'm Marinette's brother" Marlin responded
"No way. You're that girl's brother?" gasped Adrien in surprise
"That's right. I want to talk to you about what happened yesterday" said Marlin
Adrien sighed and said, "Look, I know what you're thinking, but you must understand that prank wasn't my idea. It was all Chloé's. I was trying to get it off"
"I know. Chloé always like to mess with people. Is it true that you're her friend?" asked Marlin as he wants to clarify
"Yes, it is. Chloé and I have been friends ever since we were young. You could say that she's my only friend." explained Adrien with a sad look
"You can always make new friends here. I notice that you made friends with Nino. Also, I can tell that you are not like Chloé. And if it also makes you feel better, I can be your friend too." said Marlin
"Really?" asked Adrien in surprise
"Yeah. So what do you say? Friends?" asked Marlin as he offers his hand
Adrien was surprised and smiles
"Friends"
Marlin and Adrien both shake hands.
"Oh and you should also talk to my sister about what really happened yesterday. I'm sure she'll understand." Marlin advised
"Okay" said Adrien
"Well, I'll see you in class." said Marlin
"Later" said Adrien
As Marlin walks into the school, Adrien watches him and thought, 'He sure is a good brother. Still, why does he look familiar?'
Marinette and Alya went in Ms. Bustier's classroom, as they were about to sit in their seat, Marinette stops Alya
"No, wait" said Marinette as she led Alya to the seat behind Nino. They then fist-bump as they sat down. Chloé and Sabrina then comes in and sees this
"Uhh… You're in the wrong seat. Go on, get lost!" Chloé demanded pointing to another seat
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good people do nothing!" said Marinette
"What is that supposed to mean?" asked Chloé
"What she means Chloé is that we're not gonna put up with your crud any longer and neither is anyone in this classroom. So why don't you just take your attitude and go sit somewhere else" said Marlin as he came in the classroom
"You heard my brother. Go on, get lost!" said Marinette strongly as she pointed to a seat
Everyone in the classroom laughs. Chloé gets angry at this. She and Sabrina then begins to sit in the previous seat that Marinette and Alya were sitting. Marlin smiles proudly at his sister and makes his way to his seat next to Max. He notices Juleka and waves at her. She blushes and waves back. As he was waiting for class start, Marlin notices Adrien coming in. He waves at Marinette, but she looks away with a humph causing Adrien to feel down. Marlin frowns at this. It was time to have a little talk with Marinette.
In the locker room, Marlin was talking with Marinette as they were putting their stuff in their lockers.
"You can't keep ignoring him forever. You should go talk to him" Marlin told his sister
"Why should I? He's friends with Chloé. Besides, remember what happened yesterday?" replied Marinette in annoyance
"But don't you think he was only trying to help you? He's not like Chloé you know." Marlin pointed out
"And how do you know that?" asked Marinette
"I just talked with him. He seems like a pretty cool guy. We even became friends. You can do the same if you get to know him." said Marlin
"I don't know, Marlin" said Marinette feeling unsure
"Look, I won't force you, but maybe you should give him a chance. You'll see that he's not all bad." Marlin suggested
Marinette begins to think about what her brother said. Outside of school, it begins to rain. Marinette and her brother came out and sees the rain. Marlin pulls up his hood. Adrien then comes out.
"Hey" Adrien greeted Marinette
Marinette turns her head away. Wanting to give the two some room, Marlin walks down the stairs. Adrien then opens his umbrella
"I just wanted you to know that I was only trying to take the chewing gum off your seat. I swear. I've never been to school before. I've never had friends. It's all sort of new to me." explained Adrien
Marinette was surprised by what Adrien said. He then hands her his umbrella. That's when their eyes meet. Marinette got flustered as she slowly takes the umbrella. But before she could say anything, Marinette accidentally closes the umbrella on her head. This causes Adrien to laugh and as Marinette took the umbrella off, she too begins to laugh as well. Seeing this Marlin laughs at this as well.
"See you tomorrow" said Adrien. He was about to walk downstairs, but he turns back and says one more thing. "You know, you're lucky to have a brother like Marlin. I hope you two look out for each other."
"Uh-huh!… see you to…mo… tomo… Haha!" stammerd Marinette, "Whoa, why am I stammering?"
Marlin smiles at this. Adrien then walks down the stairs. He notices Marlin and waves at him. Marlin waves back as Adrien as he got into a car and it drives away.
Arachnus comes out from Marlin's pocket in his hoodie
"How romantic" commented Arachnus
"I know. I think Marinette and Adrien are both gonna be fine" said Marlin as he looks up at the sky
"And that's how I became a hero."
The scene then shows it is nighttime as we see Spider-Man began to scale the walls of a building. He then reaches the roof and begins to jump to other rooftops
"It won't be easy, but I'm willing to rise up to the challenge with the help of Ladybug and Cat Noir. And someday, we will defeat Hawk Moth."
Spider-Man then leaps off a rooftop and web swings. He was swinging he was watched by an old man with the kwami Wayzz. They smiled as they watch him swing away
"I was told that "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility". And I'm going to live by those words. So I should probably reintroduce myself."
Spider-Man lands on a rooftop and notices a car with criminals in it being chased by a police car
"In the daytime, I'm Marlin. Just a normal guy with a normal life. But there's something about me that no one knows about. Not even my sister."
Spider-Man shoots a web line and swings after the cars.
"I am... The Sensational Spider-Man!"
