Anyways! On to the story! What happened between Lindsay and Danny on the way to visit Flack.
------------
"Hey, you all set to go?" Danny asked as he closed his locker and turned to his collegue. After Mac Taylor had arrested the Lassing the schizophrenic bomber, he and Stella went straight to the hospita, leaving the DHS to deal with they culprit. Danny and the rest of the team heard this an hour ago. After wrapping up the case, the three of them decided to pay a much delayed visit to their injured comrade.
Lindsay turned from her own locker to look up at soft brown eyes behind clear glasses and gave a small smile. She was glad that all the action was over. The memories of smoke, the sound of glass shattering and the acute pain in her head, she wanted to forget as soon as possible. However, this case made into one of the top traumatizing-and-gut-wrenching case list. Among others. She remembered the nauseating fear for her comrades which ran through her when she had gotten hold of her bearings in the street. The wound on her head did nothing but to increase her heart rate. She tried calling Mac but it only sped her heart beat up. Only when she heard the familliar voice of Stella, Sheldon and Danny's bad-boy accent did her 300 heartbeats per minute slow down to a much more acceptable rate.
"Montana?" Danny ducked his head to her eye level. "Lindsay? You ok? You kinda spaced out a little there."
"Ah?" She was startled out from her reverie. "Sorry. Just...I-I'm fine." She smiled in reassurance while clearing her throat, to get rid of anymore stutters. She hoped. Lindsay jumped again when she felt Danny's hand on her head.
"Why isn't this bandaged up?" He said, referring to her head wound."Didn't you go see the medics?" Danny furrowed his brow in concern and smoothed away some hair that covered the irritated injury. Lindsay gave another small smile but made no move to remove his hand. The warmeth and slight pressure on her head soothed a small headache she was having throughout the day.
"It's just a scratch. A shallow one from a flying piece of glass, I think."
"It was bleeding heavily." He frowned. Lindsay chuckled.
"Are you a CSI or not? Head wounds bleed more than any part of the body, remember?" Her white teeth sparkled in the dim light as she turned to close her locker door. Her counterpart lowered his hand and straightened.
"Heh. At least now I know you haven't lost your love of tormenting me." He said lightly.
"Tormenting you? Interesting of you to say when you were the one who made me call Mac 'sir' on my first day when he didn't like it."
"That was my way of saying 'Hi! Welcome to New York!'" He smirked as they walked side by side out of the locker room.
"Ah, and wasn't 'Hi! Welcome to New York!' better than what you did?"
"Ummm, no. You should be flattered. I don't even welcome newbies to New York."
"Newbies!"
They bantered back and forth as they walked out the building. Side by side, hands touching now and then, but never grabbing. Danny grinned happily as he looked at Lindsay's much more carefree smiles. There was definitely a spark between he and Montana, but that could wait. Besides, he had succeeded in distracting her and that was enough for him. For now. They could deal with the drama tomorrow. Now, they had a certain officer to visit.

Author's Note: Hm, still trying for fluff. Wasn't too sure whether I pulled it off or not. Well, if I didn't, Danny/Lindsay 4EVA anyways! Hee:) Thanks for reading! Feedback is appreciated too:)
