Chapter 1. Into the Moonless Night.
Seeing Jesse's reaction over that double was the hardest thing that I've ever been though. His emotions were so raw that I couldn't block them from bombarding me. I only wish that I could be there with them; but I know that this is not going to happen.
Adam has hidden me away from them for a reason, and I'm not quite sure what that reason is. I'm not sure of where Adam is either. For the next year all I will do is sit back and watch.
The new girl, or technically the old girl, Lexa is going to be quite the contrast to me. She's bossy and I can see that things are going to be tense.
Brennan is going to have to go through some things. He is already changing in some ways. I was so shocked when he left and then again when he so vengefully killed Eckhart. Part of me worries that he will put himself in danger.
For now though, I will only have these distant thoughts. There is no way for me to try to help them. For the next year I will be here to watch, hidden in the shadows.
