A little over an hour later, Grace slowly made her way from the master bathroom into the living room. She saw Liam sitting on the couch, eating a slice of pizza.

She then noticed a plate of cookies sitting next to the pizza box. She couldn't help but sigh as she asked him, "Are you actually going to eat those pitiful-looking things?" pointing to said cookies.

Liam swallowed his pizza and took a sip of his Coke before he told her, "They're not that bad. Although, they did sort of come apart when I tried to get them off the pan."

"That's because I forgot to spray it," Grace complained with a sigh before she sat down beside him. She then ran her fingers through her hair and laid her head against the back of the couch.

Liam then leaned over to kiss her forehead before he assured her, "They're still great cookies," offering her a smile.

She managed a small smile in response.

Grace then sat up and grabbed a paper plate before reaching for two slices of pizza. Once she had prepared her food, she then proceeded to grab her drink.

She tilted her head as she realized her glass was full of something other than soda. She picked up the cup before she turned to her husband and asked, "Liam, what is this?

"Lemonade," he answered. He paused before he explained, "I don't think you're supposed to have much caffeine – I remember that Anna Elizabeth complained about missing hot tea when she was pregnant with Elsa."

"I vaguely remember Dr. Rose saying something about that," Grace spoke. She ran her hand over her face as she admitted, "I sort of spaced out when she was going over the pregnancy stuff – I was too busy being freaked out."

In response, Liam only kissed her forehead once more. He then wrapped her in a hug, and she sank against him.

When they pulled back, he ran his fingers through her red hair and suggested, "How about we start the movie now?" She nodded in response.

As soon as Liam pressed play, Grace picked up her pizza to take a bite. No sooner had she moved the slice to her mouth, than a wave of nausea overtook her.

She practically threw the plate on the coffee table and ran to the bathroom, not even realizing that Liam was right behind her.

Unfortunately, she didn't quite make it to the toilet in time, and she threw up all over the bathroom floor.

She sank down on the rug as she complained, "Ugh! That's just great," burying her face in her hands.

When she looked up, she saw her husband grabbing a towel from the bathroom cabinet. He knelt down beside her and began cleaning.

Though a small smile erupted over her features, she still couldn't help but feel slightly guilty. She then told him, "You don't have to do that, you know. I'm the one who got sick."

"And I promised to be with you in sickness and in health," Liam told her without looking up. He then paused his cleaning and met her eyes as he continued, "You're my wife, Grace. I love you more than anything, and I want to be there for you no matter what. That includes cleaning up after morning sickness."

Grace smiled at him as she told him, "Thank you, Liam. I love you, too." He smiled back at her at response.

She then stood up and brushed her teeth while Liam finished cleaning the floor. When he was finished, he wrapped his arms around her from behind and told her, "You up for finishing the movie?"

Grace nodded in response. She then told him, "But I don't know that I can really eat anything, but I probably need to at least try."

She felt Liam nod against her before he told her, "I think we have some crackers and cheese that you could probably eat."

"Sounds good," Grace replied before she pulled herself away from him. The two of them then headed out of the bedroom.

The red-head then walked into the kitchen and grabbed the food before joining Liam in the living room.

He pressed play as soon as his wife sat down beside him and then continued eating pizza. Shortly after the movie had started, he asked her, "Does this take place during World War I or II?"

Grace couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Liam, I've lost count of how many times you watched this movie with me. You seriously don't know?"

With a shrug, he then pointed out, "There are entirely too many Marvel movies for me to try to keep up with – I'll leave that to you."

Grace shook her head before she explained, "They're fighting Nazis for part of the movie – that makes it World War II."

Liam nodded at her before he asked, "What do you mean only part of it? We did fight the Nazis in World War II."

"Yes, but…" Grace began before she told him, "Just watch the movie. It'll all make sense."

"If you say so. But I'll probably forget – again – by the next time we watch it," Liam pointed out before taking some more bites of his pizza.

"Oh, I know you will. I basically have to explain the entire Marvel Universe every time we watch any one of their movies," Grace told him. She tried to sound annoyed, but she began laughing a moment later.

Liam smiled brightly at the sound before he leaned over and planted a sweet kiss on her cheek. When he pulled back, he told her, "There's the sound of that laugh I love so much."

Grace sobered and took a few minutes to consider his words. She then surmised, "You know the plot of this movie, don't you? You were just teasing me, weren't you?"

He nodded before he elaborated, "Since there are like, 87, Marvel movies," grinning at the eye roll his wife gave him, "I can't really keep them all straight, but Captain America is your favorite superhero, so I know The First Avenger pretty well."

"But not The Winter Soldier or Civil War?" Grace teased before she chuckled. Liam only rolled his eyes.

He then took a breath and sincerely continued, "I was trying to find a way to make you laugh - so you'd feel a bit better."

"Thank you, Liam," she told him before pulling him in for a sweet kiss. He smiled into the kiss before he threaded his fingers through her hair.

When they pulled away a couple of minutes later, Grace snuggled up to Liam's side and wrapped her arms around him.

He wrapped one of his arms around her waist before he commented, "Think I could get some of that superhero serum?"

Grace didn't bother to correct him as she teased, "Are you jealous that you don't have the strength of a super soldier?"

"It would have made carrying you in here on our wedding night a hell of a lot easier," Liam replied, a wide grin enveloping his features.

Grace knew he was joking, and she had no reason to be upset - but all she could think about was that her body would soon be changing to accommodate the life growing inside her.

Liam noticed her change in demeanor and asked, "Hey, everything okay? You know I was just joking, don't you?"

"Oh, of course I do," Grace reassured him. She then sighed and told him, "I just keep thinking about the fact that I'm pregnant, and I just don't know what we're going to do."

Liam sighed before he kissed her head. He then offered, "I know you're scared - hell, I'm scared, too…"

"I'm not just scared - I'm terrified," she interrupted, shooting up from his side. She then stood and began to pace once more.

"I can't even begin to fathom all the coming changes! To me - to us - to our lives! I'm just not ready for this!"

"Hey, it's okay," Liam reassured her as he came to stand in front of her. He then ran his fingers through her hair.

"No, it's not, Liam. Do you honestly think we could even do this?"

He sighed and raked his fingers through his dark hair. With a shrug, he told her, "It wouldn't just be easy - and we both know that - but we both love kids and come from big, supportive families - and- -"

"None of which are here," Grace interjected, throwing her hands up. She couldn't help the huff that followed.

"I don't think you get it, Liam. I know you want this - but you don't understand how huge, how monumental this is for us."

She then spun on her heel and marched toward the bedroom. Liam trailed behind her.

When she tried to slam the door, he stopped it with his hand. She sighed and told him, "I can't talk about this anymore."

"We don't have to talk," he placated. He took a deep breath and spoke, "If you want to be left alone, I will - but I want you to know I'm here for you."

Grace peered at him for a few moments, his blue-green eyes filled with concern. She took his hands in hers and relented, "I don't really want to be alone - I ju-just want to relax."

She then squeezed his hand and said, "And I can't sleep without you anymore."

Liam smiled softly before he kissed her forehead. He then wrapped his arms around her and asked her, "Ready to lay down?"

Grace nodded before the two of them continued on into the bedroom. She flopped down face first on the bed, letting out a sigh.

She remained still for a few moments until she rolled over to search for her husband. She spied him as he finished pulling on his sweatpants.

When he lied down beside her, she spoke, "I wondered where you were."

With a shrug, he replied, "I can only be comfortable in jeans for so long." She chuckled.

She then snuggled into his side, wrapping her arms around him. He rubbed his hands up and down her back.

They lied in comfortable silence, the sounds of the city humming around them. Liam's phone began beeping from where he placed it earlier on the nightstand.

"Bloody hell," he muttered as he snatched it.

He read the text message from a friend. After he sent a quick reply, he turned his attention back to his wife.

He opened his mouth to apologize but realized she had fallen asleep.

He smiled at her before he placed a soft kiss in her hair. He grabbed some of the blankets and pulled it over them.

He then sank into his pillow, and he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Grace was sleeping.

He didn't even know if it would last that long - or if he would get any sleep himself.

He wanted kids - he always had. Whenever he had pictured his future with Grace, a little boy or a little girl ran around.

And now, that future was here. He couldn't deny his joy at the news - yet fear still creeped through his mind.

Fear that he'd somehow screw this up because he could still be a little too impulsive and temperamental for his own good.

Fear that he'd only slightly know what he was doing - and that he still had so much to learn.

Fear that he'd be responsible for this baby for the rest of its life.

Fear that everything was about to change.
