I trained for the months leading up to school. I roped Dudley into joining me. I taught him an aggressive form of karate that suited him fine. I held back so it was at proper sparring strength.
I guess Dudley put the word out that I was not to be fucked with after Vernon's "accident" cuz his gang stopped their criminal activities and Dudley hung out with me more. We bonded over martial arts. He lost a considerable amount of fat and converted that into muscle. I taught him some grapples and take downs since MMA is now a thing in Britain. Dudley took home an under 18 heavyweight championship belt. I was back in Active Ranger shape and I trained in Magic at night reviewing all the spells I knew until I can just point and think of the spell and will it to cast. Then I used my considerable fortune to buy more spell books to further my knowledge to the same level.
I suddenly felt hungry despite putting quite a bit of food away. The urge to fight has grown but training with Dudley has helped that greatly. Aunt Petunia smiled at Dudley getting in better shape. At first she was scared I was going to spread magic to him but after I caught Her reading my textbooks I got on a muggles guide to the wizarding world. She understood that Dudley couldn't use magic so she laid off me hanging out Dudley Drama. Vernon on the other hand is scared of me. He takes the bus to work and has suffered demotion after demotion. He is now a secretary at Grunnings. He tried to blame me for his problems but Petunia snapped at him telling him off that he was demoted and not fired because I had pulled strings at her request since I'm the owner of Grunnings. Vernon shut up after that. The divorce was not a shock to Dudley nor Petunia as Vernon couldn't handle being man handled by me and the job he had so he quit Grunnings and moved out of number 4 and filed for divorce. On September 1 Dudley came with me to the barrier and asked me to return for the holidays so we can train more. I nodded and got on the train. I was looking for a compartment when I heard voices
"Look girls a Loony is sitting in our compartment.!" A snide Cho Chang said.
I narrowed my eyes. I hated bullies always have. When I was Trent hated them Ron Despised them Jon absolutely hated them to a homicidal degree. I tapped Cho's shoulder.
"Excuse me Ladies but my betrothed is not a Loony as you call her Luna Lovegood is a witch that should be treated with respect not distain so I suggest you vacate this area before I do something you will regret." I said in a level voice.
Cho and her gang of girls left. I sat down and smiled at Luna
"Thanks for sticking up for me but betrothed?" Luna asked.
I pulled out my copy of the contract and she read it.
She smiled.
"Thank you Harry Potter please tell me about yourself so I can get to know you better." Luna said.
I smile and we talked for hours. Hermione found us and Ron followed.
"What's Loon..." Ron never finished his Sentence as I was choking him out with my hand.
"Never and I mean NEVER... insult...Luna Lovegood in front of me!" I said in a Dark tone letting him go
Ron looked at me in shock Hermione too but Luna smiled and went back to reading the latest issue of the Quibbler.
I told Ron and Hermione that the Chamber incident opened my eyes and I vowed to study and gear up for my mortal enemy's return since I knew Evil was going to power Voldemort up just like Good and Grid powered me up so I must train and study so I could live so Hermione and Ron could live so Luna could live.
We got to the Castle and feasted. After the other boys went to bed. I went to Snape's office and knocked.
He opened his door shocked and let me in
"Professor I know you hate me and the feelings mutual but I implore you to put it aside as I must in order to prepare for what's coming." I said calmly
Snape stood there in silence like he was thinking.
"Detention every day for a month and we will train in those Detentions and Mr. Potter I will not hold back I suggest you don't either." Snape said.
I nod as he took points for me being out after Dark.
The days were uneventful but my training with Snape were brutal. The man was not kidding. We practiced magical fighting yeah that is right not dueling fighting. Snape was no push over. I went all out with the spells I knew and learned a few more. I think Snape was using this training as therapy as well since he seemed to come alive more and more as each session started. I feel so pumped as I felt my blood boiling I was I itching for a fight. Dumbledore called me to his office to Discuss things.
"You know they are all gone but his snake right?" I said
"What are gone?" Albus said
I pull out a bag with the shattered Horcruxes except for the Giant ring and my scar since the now faded scar is still on my forehead.
"So you no longer have it in your head?" Albus said filled with hope.
"Yes sir." I said
Albus burst into tears praising Merlin that he could scraping the horrible plan of sacrificing me to end Tom.
What I didn't expect was him joining my training sessions with Snape. I was getting more power.
I did martial art training as well. Luna loved joining me. I taught her every style I knew one by one until I knew my little Moon could handle any situation with little interference from me. We grew closer in our training. She blushed when I corrected her in a stance I swore she had down the other day. We talked more as a cool down I learned about her home life about her dad and mom her moms death and I hugged her as she cried.
"Promise me Harry that you won't lose who you are promise me." She said between sobs
I didn't answer as I was in shock
"What do you mean Luna?" I said
"I don't want the man I have come to love to drown in despair, darkness and vengeance." Luna sobbed.
I let my head rest on hers her lavender shampoo scent filling my nose as I breathe.
"I promise it's a promise of a lifetime!" I said
I felt something spark inside me. I felt my motivation to train grow beyond ending Voldemort. I felt like I wanted Luna by my side as I broke all my limits seeing her smile like I did now feels me with a sense of happiness and hope.
Sirius escaping Azkaban lead to Dementors surrounding the school. I trained to use the Patronus since those things would love to eat my soul.
I mastered the spell in two months. I still trained. I roped Hermione and Ron in as well. Luna, Hermione, Ron and I were training like mad.
Ron and I were sparring partners and Ron was picking up the styles I taught him like crazy. He was a natural fighter.
Ron even developed his own hybrid style and roped the Twins Fred and George and taught them. I ended up fighting everyone at once to test their knowledge and teamwork. I was happy my friends were putting me through my paces and I loved it.
"Time! This is amazing guys you are all strong but if we keep this up we might as well get permission to start a martial arts class!" I said
Hermione was about to open her mouth to suggest that but I shit her down
"Guys the last thing we need is to go from Danger of Spell fire in the halls to full out fist fights in the castle." I said in monotone
I got a bunch of nods
Luna and I went on our first date.
It was kind of awkward for the both of us
Her because it was her first one and with an older boy at that
Me because I'm actually falling head over heals in love with the petite blonde witch.
"Harry why don't you go visit your parents grave?" Luna asked me.
"I don't know never really thought about it nor know where it is." I said
" they are buried in Godric's Hollow Dad goes there due to crumpled horned snorkacks sightings." Luna said
I look at her in awe yes some of the stuff she says is ridiculous but I smile when she says it.
"How about we go for the Yule holiday?" I said.
"Introducing me to your parents already Harry?" Luna joked.
I laughed a little at that she was saucy and I loved it.
We ate a meal and she offered a spar and I accepted and we sparred until it was time for my nightly detention with Dumbledore and Snape.
"Shall I walk you to Ravenclaw Tower My lady?" I said holding out my arm
"A proper gentlemen yes I will accept your escort!" Luna said.
