Breeze

Sometimes I feel as if your presence is near me. I can feel it now, that warm tingling breeze going through me, tinged with your unmistakable scent. It's a warm feeling that gently brushes my heart, and causes me to turn my head; I am almost convinced you are there. And then it leaves as quickly as it came, and I feel hollow and empty in its wake.
And then I realize
I am nothing but a hollow shell
without you to fill my soul.
