Thus, The Avengers Assembled! Pt. 1.5
Last time in the last chapter (and by last time, I mean over five months,) I had six members of the Avengers, three from pre-Endgame and three from post-Endgame, to the world of Falmart.
Wonder why did I send them to the world of Falmart? To be honest, for my own curious amusement.
Since then, the Avengers successfully made peaceful contact with the Third Recon Team of the JSDF, collaborating with them to evacuate the Falmartian village of Coda from the impending doom of a Flame Dragon.
And when the Flame Dragon arrived, the Avengers quickly destroyed the 'all-mighty' (at least in the Coda villagers' eyes) beast, with no casualties suffered.
Here's the rest of the story.
The arrival of the Avengers on Alnus Hill surprised members of the JSDF, as they previously thought that the Avengers only existed in comics and movies.
And the Avengers themselves were surprised that the JSDF came from a world where there's no superheroes or supervillains. A world where there's no people with extraordinary superhuman abilities (on the Avenger's level,) nor people with elaborate plans to assert world dominance. The major villains of the world are Latin American drug lords, African warlords, Middle Eastern terrorists, and Asian human traffickers. (I know this is an oversimplification, but ain't nobody got time for that shit.)
And the pre-Endgame Avengers have to deal with the revelations from the post-Endgame Avengers.
Tony had the revelation that he had a daughter with Pepper, before dying in an act of supreme self-sacrifice, using the Infinity Stones to destroy Thanos and his armies. He was saddened by this, as he will never have the opportunities that his post-Endgame counterpart enjoie.
Bucky (and the post-Endgame Avengers,) would have to reveal the truth that as the Winter Soldier, a brain-washed Bucky was behind the deaths of Tony's parents, before someone tells Tony a misinterpretation of the event (and causes a schism in the Avengers.)
Natasha had the revelation that she fought Clint in order to sacrifice herself for Clint to obtain the Soul Stone and have a chance to get his family back. Speaking of Clint, for his part... well, let's just say that he's not in the best state of mind. (Keep in mind, he now lost his family, twice.)
And… (Jeez. Four months late. I'll skip the boring parts.)
If the Avengers can defeat an well-organized army led by a powerful purple raisin, hell bent on galactic genocide, it's for certain that the Avengers can defeat a group of disorganized medieval marauders hell bent on violent aggravation.
The Rose Knights and the Italicans were standing and staring at the strange men and women in amazement, especially the Avengers
And… (another boring part.)
When night falls, the bandits attack, and they attack from… an unexpected direction… for Princess Pina, the Rose Knights and the Italicans. (Huh,who bloody knew?!)
The Avengers engaged with the bandits, and it was right there and then that members of the Third Recon Team realized that Disney had the violence in the Avengers toned down… quite… a lot. Here some examples.
For Tony and Rodney, their ARC-powered repulsors, basically turn bandits into mush (See Rorschach's death in Watchmen as reference.) For Steve, the way he uses his shield by throwing it, causing many bandits to be decapitated and dismembered. For Natasha, the male bandits voiced their sexual fantasies of 'asserting dominance' over Natasha, only for the bandits to have broken bones, mangled muscles and crushed delusions… thanks to Natasha.
For Clint, he was back in his Ronin persona, showing no mercy for the bandits, (except those who have surrendered,) believing that these bandits don't deserve the right to live, for they have chose to live their lives to robbing, raping and murdering innocent civilians.
Members of Third Recon Team were shocked at the brutal efficiency of the Avengers, with the Avengers killing hundreds, if not thousands of bandits.
By the time Japanese military reinforcements arrived, the battle of Italica was effectively over, with a handful of bandits surviving the first battle of Italica. To the Pina, these Men in Green, these Avengers, have more power than she can possibly imagine.
And the Italicans weren't praising her or the Rose Knights, but rather the Men in Green and the Avengers, for they believed the Avengers were gods in physical form. To the gods of Falmart observing, the Avengers are a threat; a subversion of the 'natural order of Falmart.' (As if reactivating the GATE wasn't a subversion already! Fucking morons...)
And… (another boring part of Rose Knight reinforcements being BTFO'd by Bucky and Steve)
The Avengers find themselves going to a world where people like them, only exists in movies and in comic books. No superheroes or supervillains. Just ordinary people.
The Japanese Diet organised a Senate Committee concerning the Avengers and the Battle of Italica, with the observant American ambassador to Japan attending the Committee, as the Americans were interested in the Avengers, as the Avengers have technologies that are considered decades away and have abilities/capabilities that are considered impossible, even for Olympic-level athletes. Plus, all of the members of the Avengers are American citizens.
Anyways, the Committee began with Kōhara calling Itami to read a JSDF report regarding the Avengers. Here's the transcript.
Itami: "Senator, you'll understand that reading a specific paragraph of the report out of context, doesn't reflect the entirety of the report-"
Kōhara: "Just read the paragraph."
Itami: "Hn. The Avengers, should they become hostile to the State of Japan and her interests in Falmart, have shown the potential to severely cripple any and all Japanese military operations in Falmart. However, I went on to state that the advantages of the Avengers, far outweigh the disadvantages, and that mutual cooperation-"
Kōhara: "That's enough Lieutenant."
Itami: "Between the Avengers and the JSDF-"
Kōhara: "That's enough."
Itami: "-Would be in the State of Japan's interest, Senator."
And... (another boring part of Kōhara being BTFO'd on international television.)
Wait, what's that? North Korean intelligence agents tried to kidnap the Falmartian and Saderan representatives? Only for Clint and Natasha to pull a reverse Uno on the North Korean intelligence agents? That's fucking cute.
Meanwhile in Falmart, the Avengers' exploits were told throughout the continent, getting more and more embellished by each storyteller, for each storyteller believed the Avengers were gods in physical form.
Obviously, The gods of Falmart was far from pleased with the Avengers being worshipped as gods. So, with the goal of 'restoring the natural order of Falmart,' the gods of Falmart assist the Saderan Empire through divine intervention. (But the Saderan Empire has already subverted the natural order by opening the GATE to the State of Japan in the first place! Bloody morons!)
Explanation
Author: Well reader, before you grab your pitchforks, shotguns and torches, I have three reasons why I haven't posted in the last (looks at the last update date)… five months?
Firstly, I've been collaborating with fellow FanFic writer, Corporal Tommy, on a Naruto crossover story. It's called Western Dominance, and I highly suggest that you read it.
Secondly, Coronavirus. I think enough has been said about it. Don't worry, I'm not infected with the Coronavirus.
Finally, the writer's block. L4D2 and TF2 didn't help matters.
Plans
In the near future, I'm going to continue working on the final instalments of this collection of stories, as well as continuing working with Corporal Tommy on Western Dominance.
And unfortunately, my other story, GATE: Operation Schwert der Rache, is on hold for now, as I'm not satisfied with the quality.
Stories ideas for the upcoming Electric Boogaloo sequel for GATE: They Came, They Saw and They Conquered!
Central Powers/GATE story: Gott mit uns!
Titianfall/GATE story: Standby for Titanfall!
QnA
Since it's been over three months I've posted a chapter, I might as well answer some reviews.
To Dao Ma, I'm not interested in exploring the wider Warhammer franchise.
To NexusPrime42, I'm not interested in exploring the wider Lord of the Rings franchise.
To reddevilsetiabudi, I'm most interested in exploring the idea of the Central Powers against the Saderan Empire in a future collection of stories.
To Guest/Grass Mud Horse, your pathological hatred for Hardy and Zorzal is noted. But I'm not interested in exploring any of your ideas, and the best depiction of Shino in my opinion, is when she thinks Itami is a moron. (e.g. Little Green Men by dingdang564564 or my MSF story)
To Llerr Olivares, I'm not interested in writing space Nazis or alternate history Nazis, in my opinion, is not as interesting as having the Emperor of Mankind committing exterminatus.
To Phoenix, I'm confused, as FINX can be anything. Can you please specify?
To IROHA Crane, no. Simply no, no and no. I'm vehemently averse to portraying paedophiles or rapists as the protagonists.
To Arms Dealer, from your list of ideas, I'm most interested in exploring Titanfall factions in Falmart in a future collection of stories.
To Armsforme, I'm not interested in exploring Attack on Titan.
That's all from me, and I'll be posting the final instalments for this collection of stories in a few weeks time.
