Um. I wanted to post this. I haven't posted anything in so long. Just wanted to make sure people knew I was alive. Hee. Anyways, I'm not sure if I really like it, and it's extremely short. Maybe 300 words. It's just a drabble, but I'd appreciate comments. D
---------------
Time was like water.
Sometimes it flowed fluidly, giving each observer enough time to bask in the moment. Other times it broke like water rapids, choppy and short. Like time never had enough energy to slow down. And then there were those times, those rarities, when time was like the stillness of a lake during midnight; the iridescent moon its only companion. Then time was calm, and it gave the observer the exhilarating pleasure of feeling full, feeling complete, because they knew everything at that moment. Could smell, hear, see, and taste every aspect of life.
And then the moment shattered, and time sped up again, seemingly going faster than it had before.
But time never stopped for Luna. Not once.
Because for time to stop, it required two individuals, and they had to love one another. In love, there are always those moments. Those times of earth shattering completeness when neither of the two lovers notices anything but the other. They get lost, flowing in the warmth and compassion of the one moment, and the world freezes. Every breath seems warmer, richer. Every smell sweeter. Every touch more loving.
And every kiss is like time. Full of sensation, so full, that they take time right into themselves.
Moments happen for those people.
No one, no one, had ever loved Luna. Time had never frozen for her.
END.
