A Nightmare

He grabbed his lunch in its ornate box and ran towards the door where a servant helped him put his shoes on. He ran outside of the bright colored palace and found Kagura sitting in a shadow of a cherry tree.

"Hey, mom! I'm off!" he yelled, waving his hand at her. She smiled.

"Alright, dear, just don't stay too long! Be nice, sweetheart!" she called back, loving tenderness in her red eyes. He nodded and ran down the garden path to a huge gate adorned with dog statues on both sides. He met Sesshomaru there.

"Out to play with the village kids?" the daiyoukai asked.

"Yup, daddy!" he said cheerfully and Sesshomaru bent down to stroke his hair. "Wanna a lift?"

"Oh,, really, would you carry me?" he clasped his hands in excitement. "Please, do!"

The next moment he was squealing, holding to Sesshomaru's fur as the great dog ran across the sky. Birds were flying around them and he was laughing cheerfully.

.

"Waaa!" The Infant screamed as he woke up. Cold wind was blowing where they were flying with Kagura on her feather high above the land.

"Just shut up," she grumbled.

"I had a nightmare," he explained, secretly happy that she wasn't giving him that creepy expression of affection.

"You are a nightmare," she retorted.
