A/N: Beware the Countess of Crack.
And wear a facepalm protection

WLTPO

Lord Sesshomaru was coming home, flying across the evening sky. Ah-Un was tired, but they pushed onward, intent on reaching the coziness of their stables.

He had left the palace on an urgent call from the border where some idiots tried to raid one of his villages. The battle had been bloody and o course the outcome had been clear the moment he had arrived there.

He was going to take a bath and do some reading. His noble wife was visiting a friend this afternoon and the pups were napping, the serenity of his study will not be disrupted.

The daiyoukai sighed and took a deep breath. He could already smell his home, the Western Palace that he also could see, perched on top of a hill, overseeing his domain. He could smell the cedar wood of its pillars, the crisp paper of the shoji, the surrounding gardens with various plants blooming and... Urine...?

Puzzled the daiyoukai landed in front of the palace and let Ah-Un go to his home. Then he entered the mansion and hesitated in the genkan.

After inspecting the part of the corridor he could see he decided to wear a pair of indoors slippers. He wasn't one who enjoyed them, but walking barefoot seemed to be dangerous right now. Then he went inside to look for his retainers or servants.

The palace was in shambles. Well, maybe it was a tiny exaggeration, but to him it was. He carefully avoided stepping on puddles of milk, pee and other things, his gaze landing on railings bearing signs of being gnawed on. A few broken items were scattered across the wooden floor. The floor that bore deep scratches, splinters sticking upwards in every direction.

A broken down shoji led him to a garden where he finally found a bunch of servants and vassals, all surrounding a small thicket of orange trees.

As he watched the group tried to move closer to the trees, just to gasp and leap forward, in a vain attempt to catch...

...Four dogs twice as big as the biggest akita, their silver fur coated in mud, leaves and carrot soup stains. The dogs raced towards the nearest group of trees, yipping in delight at the group of adult youkai trying to catch them as the zipped and dodged between them.

"Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken called and ran to him, breathless from his exercise. The daiyoukai focused at the tiny kappa.

"Who let the pups out?"
