AXE
It was a very important day.
Well, maybe not to Kagome, but to Inuyasha it was.. It was the day of his and Kagome's first date.
Well, Kagome didn't know it yet, because she was at school. But the plan was in motion, thanks to Souta's assistance.
The boy was eagerly helping his 'Big Dog Brother' win over his older sister. In return for Inuyasha's fighting lessons, countless doggy back rides across Tokyo rooftops and other things Souta gave Inuyasha some of his allowance, enough to take Kagome on a romantic date in a ramen shop down street.
He also gladly shared the wisdom of modern day mankind with his hopefully-soon-brother-in-law. They borrowed some clothes from Mama, who seemed to be pretty keen on the date idea and offered to also braid Inuyasha's hair so it'd be easier to handle in a little stuffed ramen shop.
Inuyasha was a bit overwhelmed with all the information how to act in the place and around the girl of his dreams, but he was nothing if not determined to see this through and emerge victorious. And he greatly appreciated the help, even if the eagerness of Souta and his mom was a bit... Too big. How could a girl's family be so happy to see a hanyou try and court the girl? But he wasn't going to complain.
When Kagome was coming home from school, Inuyasha was ready, a bunch of wild flowers in hand, the form-fitting clothing hugging his tense body, his eyes trained on the door through which Kagome was going to come in a few minutes. His nervously twitching ears were twitching where they were hid under a cool scarf tied around his head in a stylish manner. He could hear her approach and Mama shifting just behind the kitchen door. He also heard Souta's rapid footsteps when the kid ran down the stairs behind him
"Inuyasha!" he gasped. "We forgot the most important thing!"
To say Inuyasha's heart started to beat faster would be an understatement.
"What? What did we forget?" he asked/. This whole date thing was already too complicated and he was pretty sure he was going to screw up at least a fee parts of it.
As he turned to look Souta's way, the boy lifted a dark can and sprayed the hanyou.
"It's AXE. Perfume for men. They say it's going to... Inuyasha? Oi, dude!"
This afternoon Kagome came back home to find a nicely dressed Inuyasha sprawled out unconscious across the genkan, flowers scattered around him, a strong scent of perfume lingering in the air. She also found her little brother hovering over the hanyou, poking his shoulder in confusion.
"What happened here?" She sighed. And there she'd been hoping for a nice afternoon spending time with her totally-not-a-boyfriend-but-maybe-one-day. She looked quizzically at her brother, who still tried to wake up the passed out hanyou. Come to think of it, why was Inuyasha dressed in modern clothes? And his hair was braided? And why there were flowers everywhere around him?
And why was he smelling so nice?
