Chapter 2
Three years later
Sadako was sitting in her room, her eyes heavily bandaged. She had once again failed to control the power of her sharingan. Her father had tried his level best to teach her how to control it but everytime she tried she would get dizzy. Her father was starting to lose all hope of her learning how to control the sharingan as it had been six months since she started training but there was very little improvement. Though she had learned not to put people in genjutsu she still wasn't able to deactivate it. As a result, she would get dizzy and faint.
Sadako walked towards the mirror and removed the bandages wrapped around her head. She looked at her reflection and felt hot tears brimming up.
She had hurt so many people because of this cursed eye. She was looked down by people because of this cursed eye. People were scared that she might hurt them because of this cursed eye that she was not able to control.
The door of her room slid open.
"Sa-Chan, Itachi nii san and I are going to play hide and seek. Would you please join us this time?" Little sasuke asked his twin with hopeful eyes.
"Sorry Sasuke-Chan, I cannot join you" she replied.
"You always say this. Please join us today, you will love it. Itachi nii san and I will hide and you can seek us or if you want to hide that will be fine too. I think if we take turns that would be good too as everyone will get a chance to hide and seek."
"Sasuke I would love to join you―" Sadako started but was cut off by Sasuke.
"Good. Then lets go."
"Wait―Sasuke―listen...I would love to join you but I can't. I'm sorry."
"Why don't you ever join us? Do you hate us?" Sasuke asked gloomily.
"No I―"
"Are you afraid that you might accidentally hurt us?" he asked in a small voice. Sadako nodded.
"Dont worry Sa-Chan, nii san and I are strong so you dont have to worry. We will even protect you if you will ever be in danger. I promise." Sasuke told her with a big, bright smile and to make her feel better he entwined her pinky finger with his and grinned.
Itachi stood at the door watching his little brother and sister.
"So will you come?" Itachi asked.
"Onii chan, I would love to...but I have to train to control these." She pointed at her eyes.
"Oh I see"
"But why do you want to deactivate the sharingan? You look so beautiful with those activated." Sasuke whined. Itachi sighed and replied,"Look Sasuke, the sharingan consumes a lot of chakra and if she won't deactivate it she would get dizzy due to exhaustion. Do you want your sister to faint?"
"N-no Onii chan, I don't. I will help Sadako so she will be able to control it." Sasuke volunteered, his eyes shining with hope and determination.
"Of course you will, otouto."
Sadako looked at her father, then at Sasuke and back at her father. She was not able to understand why her father had decided to let Sasuke accompany them when she still wasn't able to control the power of her sharingan.
"Sadako, today Sasuke will be watching you train so I expect good results from you"
"Hai, Otou-san. I will do my best"
"Ganbatte Sa-Chan! You can do it" Sasuke cheered his sister.
"Sadako, try to reduce the amount of chakra flow near your eyes." Fugaku told Sadako as he activated his own sharingan to watch her chakra flow.
"Hai, Otou-san"
But it was easier said than done. Sadako was again starting to get dizzy and it was harder to focus with Sasuke watching her. What would he think if she failed? That his sister could not control something that was a part of her body? What would her father think? He had named her Sadako in hope she would become his pride.
"Sadako forget that we are here, watching you. Think as if no one is here, you are training on your own."
'I have to do it. For Otou-san, for Sasuke-Chan'Her eyes flickered purple, then red, then purple
"Good. You can do it Sadako. Just focus"
"Sa-Chan! You can do it!! I believe in you."
"Imouto, you can do it." said itachi, entering the room.
'That's right. They have faith in me. I have to do it' Sadako collapsed on the ground, her breathing heavy.
"Otou-san, I'm so sorry. I can't. I failed again."
She looked at her father, expecting him to look highly disappointed. Instead her father was looking at her with a proud look. He picked her up and said
"Sadako, you did it. You deactivated the sharingan"
Sadako couldn't believe her what she just heard. She looked at Itachi and Sasuke. They were both looking at her with huge grins on their faces.
"You did it, Sa-Chan!! I knew you could do it" Sasuke tackled his sister in a hug and Itachi joined in.
"You're amazing Sadako" Itachi said giving his sister a warm smile.
'I did it. I won't accidentally hurt anyone anymore.'"Arigatou, Onii-san, Sasuke-chan, Otou-san. Arigatou"
The rest of her training was easy. After having her rest for sometime, Fugaku asked his daughter to activate the sharingan and then deactivate it again and again and she did so without much effort.
"Okaa-san!! Sa-Chan did it. She deactivated the sharingan!" Sasuke told his mother.
"Huh?"
She looked at her daughter. Beautiful purple orbs had taken the place of those blood red ones.
"Purple?"
She looked at her husband.
"I think as her sharingan was activated for 3 years it had some negative effects on her eyes." he explained.
"I see. Well it's a celebration day. I will prepare your favourite food Sadako-chan" she said kissing her daughter on the forehead.
"Arigato Okaa-san"
Author's note: Hey guys she did it! Anyways I have something to tell you. There will be other anime references in the story later but the story is not a crossover. It will all become clear once I post the other chapters.
