"Goodness gracious, what happened?" Kagome asked as she stared at Sango. The exterminator walked closer to the table Kagome was sitting by and sat herself next to her.
"I caught Kohaku sneaking out again," she said and smiled when Kagome poured her sake to a cup. She downed the whole thing in one gulp. "He tried to 'borrow' Kirara, just for a ride around the village with Rin, as he says."
"This one presumes that you stopped the foolish boy before he got to this one's ward," Sesshomaru said in his flat tone from where he sat on the opposite side of the table. "This one won't tolerate Rin leaving the village without notifying this Sesshomaru.."
"Yeah, I told him to go and train with his weapon instead of trying to impress Rin," Sango said and shook her head.
"Okay, but you're covered in mud, what happened to you/" Kagome asked.
"When I finished with Kohaku I was running late, so I went through the forest. On the side note, Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's burying your stuff in the meadow next to the river bend. I kinda fell in one of his holes on my way here."
The daiyoukai growled in irritation. "That brat."
"But hey, he also dug a hole for Jaken," Sango added. "When I came out of mine, I heard the kappa trying to climb out of his."
All three sighed in unison.
"Well, at least Souta isn't giving me any grief lately," Kagome grinned. "After the pepper incident and mom grounding him he's as good as an angel."
"This one wishes not to be reminded about the pepper incident."
"Was that omelet really that spicy?" Kagome tilted her head while Sango giggled, covering her mouth with a hand.
"Poor Inuyasha, he ate the whole thing so fast that he had no chance and..."
"Again. This one wishes not to be reminded..."
"Sorry I'm late," said a serene voice from the doorway. "Kaede decided to mix her own herbal tea and I had to test it."
"Hey!" Kagome waved a hand and patted the spot on her free side. "Is Bankotsu coming tonight?"
"No, he said his little brothers can't be left alone, because Mukotsu brought home a new kind of mushrooms," Kikyou said and glided to her spot. Sango already filling the sake cups. "And Hiten is unavailable tonight as well, since he's supervising Souten and Shippou's play date."
"Well, that's a boomer," Kagome pouted. "Well, more sake for us, I guess."
"Hey, guys..." came from the door. A person wrapped in a baboon pelt stood there."Can I join you?"
"No!" they all exclaimed. "How many times we have to tell you, incarnations don't count as younger siblings!"
