Chapter 4

Sadako's POV

'Where am I?...Is, is the ground moving?...No wait..right, I have been kidnapped by some nins. I'll have to figure a way out of this. Let's just hope they decide to rest in a while'

Normal POV

"Itachi, Why did you bring Sasuke, here?" asked Shisui

"He might be able to help a little"

"Fine. Anyways, your little sister is getting a good scolding from me. What on earth was going on her mind? How could she think she could take care of two high ranked shinobi on her own? She is gonna know what her Shisui nii chan is when he is angry" said Shisui, his face reflecting worry and anger.

"Shisui nii chan, don't scold her. She did that because I was the one who ran to the door. She told me not to but I didn't listen. I'm sorry" said Sasuke.

"I see. Let's hope we catch up to them before they leave the borders because if they do then it would be hard to get her back."

"Let's rest for a while" The one with the injured hand said

"I don't think it's a nice idea. We are in the enemy's territory and if they catch up to us, it's over."

"Lemme rest a little. The brat had buried the kunai really deep in my palm"

"Fine. 15 minutes at max, not more than that because the other kid might have told the others about what happened."

"That will be more than enough"

"I'm leaving the kid with you"

"Where are you going?"

"To have some water. My throat is dry" The uninjured one said and handed Sadako to his companion. Little did either of them notice but Sadako had slipped a kunai from their kunai holster.

Sadako's POV

'This is my last chance. It's now or never. Good thing the injured one stayed behind, I will have some more time to run'

I opened my eyes slightly to see what the man was doing. I had to catch him completely off guard otherwise I won't be able to escape.

The man was inspecting his wound. I have to stab him at a vital point, but not too vital 'hopefully'.

I jumped up and stabbed him near his stomach, twice. He grabbed me just as I turned around to run. His bloodied hand was covering my mouth and nose so it was getting harder to breathe. I tried to remove his hands by stabbing it repeatedly with the only kunai I had but he was a stubborn one like me. Somehow, I managed to free myself but the other nin returned. I cursed my luck.

'Think Sadako Think. What can you do?...One is already in no position to fight.... As for the other one, I won't be able to even get a scratch on him... He's more experienced and he is alert unlike the other. Think Sadako.'

I did, what I thought was the most logical thing at that moment. I activated my sharingan. Genjutsu, I will have to trap that man in genjutsu.

I didn't know if it was gonna work or not but I decided to risk it. I just have to establish eye contact.

The companion looked at his injured comrade and then at me. I channeled some chakra in my eyes. I prayed with all my heart for it to work as it was my last bet, if I failed it will be over for me.

I didn't have much hope as I had failed everytime I tried to put Shisui nii san under genjutsu, while training but still there was a little part of me which was telling me to believe in myself.

YES! I had done it. The man was under genjutsu. I made him see his worst possible death I could think of at that moment. I showed him his death, because of being impaled by a hundred hot, burning swords.

I had to break the genjutsu because if I ran out of chakra, that would become a problem. I looked at the man whom I had just forced to witness his own death. He looked like he was in so much pain, like he was on the verge of dying.

I got scared when he started coughing up blood. I did not know genjutsu could do that to someone. I, then, looked at the one I had actually stabbed. He was loosing too much blood and was on the verge of unconsciousness.

'No Sadako, you don't have time to be worrying about these people. Why on earth are you even worrying about them, they tried to kidnap you? Get out of here as soon as you can.'

I started running towards the village but the shinobi grabbed me again.

'God, they are persistent'

I had no choice. I did what I feared the most. I killed him, stabbing him on the neck. I then went to the other one and did the same and then I ran, as fast as I could.

I was shaking from head to toe. I couldn't believe what I had done.

How could I even do something so evil? I kept asking myself this question while holding back tears.

"Nii chan? Where could Sadako be? I'm worried about her."

"Don't worry Sasuke, we will surely find her." said Itachi "Shisui? What happened?" he asked when Shisui stopped in front of them.

"Isn't that Sadako?" Shisui said pointing at a small figure. Itachi looked at the little red figure walking towards them.

"Yes, it is Sadako." Itachi confimed "Ho―Is that blood on her?"

Sasuke jumped to the ground and ran towards Sadako.

"Sa-Chan! Are you okay? I'm so sorry I didn't protect you from those people. Why are you covered in blood? You're shaking."

Sadako just nodded in response. Itachi and Sasuke watched her with worry in their eyes. Shisui, on the other hand, went and hugged her tightly, not caring about the blood staining his clothes. The girl clearly needed comfort at the moment and her socially awkward brothers couldn't understand that.

"It's alright Sadako. You're safe now" Shisui whispered, patting Sadako's head gently. "I would have scolded you but you saved Sasuke, you're really brave Sadako."

"I'm going to make sure that no one followed her" said Itachi. "Sasuke you stay with Shisui" he added and left.

A few minutes later, Itachi returned.

"Sadako, did...did someone help you escape?" Itachi asked, visibly troubled. Sadako shook her head.

"Look Sadako and you too Sasuke, I need you both to keep this in your mind that if anything like this ever happens again and you are not able to come back to us never, I repeat NEVER, tell anyone who you are. Never tell anyone your family name not even a konoha nin. Do you understand?"

They nodded.

"Sadako, don't worry dear, you are safe now. No one will be able to harm you. Let's go home now. Mother and Father must be worried"

"Hai"

"What happened Sadako?" Shisui asked a few weeks after the kidnapping incident. They were both sitting in the training grounds.

"Onii chan..."

"Hmm?"

"No one had helped me to escape. I..I was the one who killed those people. I...I took som..someone's life with my own hands"

"I see. So this is why you were quieter than usual. Don't think about it too much dear"

"But I had killed them with my own hands. I did something so evil"

"I know it hurts dear but it is the world we live in. We can't do anything about it. We must do so in order to survive. We will have to kill each other in order to survive." he said hugging her.

"Why can't the world be peaceful like it should be?Just school and games and songs and phones" she mumbled the last part.

"Let's hope that the world becomes a peaceful place in future."

"Hmm nii san, I'm sure it will."

Author's note: Guys, I'm sorry this chapter is a bit short and sloppy. My test are starting soon so I'm gonna try my best to update when I can but no promises. Also I changed my writing style a little so tell me if you are comfortable with this one or the older one.
