What's a...
She was walking down a garden path, alone and free to think about things. She barely noticed the beauty of the garden, the lush colors of the flowers, the sweet scent on the air.
She sighed, her kimono skirts trailing behind her as she walked, her footsteps light and measured, her eyes darkened with concern.
Minutes ago she'd seen her precious baby boy trying to join the palace children to play a game of ball. She'd seen them all looking at him with fright in their eyes and scattering like dry leaves on the first breeze of winter.
She'd seen her baby boy standing alone in the middle of the yard, looking after them, confused and hurt, alone like the Mt Fuji among the hills that had no chance to grow as tall as it was.
"Mother?" she heard a soft cry and stopped, a small boy with silver hair ran to her, his big golden eyes wide and unsure. Still, his little face was serious, his approach of her proper, even if fast.
She bent down a bit, ready to listen to the question she already knew he was going to ask. The question she knew the answer to would make his heart weep, even if he wouldn't show it. She felt her own tears run down her pale cheeks, tears of a mother wanting for her child to be happy and knowing that happiness was not the treasure that could be easily obtained for the son of Touga, the Inu no Taisho. His was the path of solitude and power.
Her perfect, beautiful, strong, lonely boy, destined to be great and alone like the magnificent mountain.
"What's a daiyoukai?"
