I'm sorry it's not great

Inuyasha and his friends stared at Sesshomaru. The stoic daiyoukai looked a tad... shaken. It wasn't a big thing, at least for most people. For Lord Sesshomaru to appear a tad shaken, it had to be something akin to the whole island sinking.

Sesshomaru held Rin's hand, the young woman, who had been training to be Lady Kaede's successor for years, looked up at the daiyoukai with curiosity in her dark eyes. She had been picking herbs with Kagome, when the Western Lord had descended from the sky. Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango had come to check what the 'bastard' wanted.

Sesshomaru ignored the audience, looking at Rin with intense golden eyes.

"Would you consider bearing my heirs?" he asked in his low, smooth voice.

Rin blinked.

"What?" Kagome gasped. In the background Miroku choked, seemingly on his own spit and Sango went to help him.

"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru..." the young woman was obviously unable to gather her thoughts after such a proposal from the man who had been her guardian when she had been a child.

"What the hell are you trying to do here, asshole?" Inuyasha barked. It was obvious to him that his brother was plotting something nasty. Including Rin in his plans would be terrible, she was so young and trusted the dumblass way too much.

"I think I am the reason for this," came an amused voice from behind and Inuyasha with his wife turned to see Lady Kimiko, Sesshomaru's noble mother, landing on her ki cloud a few paces behind them. She glanced to where her son stood, glaring at her and still holding Rin's hand. The poor girl covered her mouth with her other hand.

"Um, aunt Kimiko, what do you mean?" Kagome asked. Lady Kimiko was like a tsunami, coming and going without any warning and leaving a wreckage behind. Not literal, since she rarely wasted her energy on destroying human dwellings. A few years ago, when Kagome had come back to the feudal era, she had visited for the wedding and had made the life of Kagome and Inuyasha a living hell of blushing bashfulness.

Now she was back and everyone present was paying attention to what she was about to say.

"I grew impatient, Kagome," the daiyoukai lady explained. Sesshomaru growled low. "My mate's second son has already started a family, and my own son is dawdling. I need pups in the pack, new pups that carry my line's venomous blood. So, I gave my son an ultimatum... Sesshomaru, can you, please, cease your growling?"

Sesshomaru didn't cease his growling. Lady Kimiko sighed.

"What was the ultimatum, Lady Kimiko?" Miroku asked when it became apparent they had to speak over Sesshomaru's growls.

"Oh, I told him that if he refuses to make babies, I will go and make some with Inuyasha here. He has Touga's blood, so they'd be strong pups, and considered full youkai, too."

"No way!" Inuyasha tried to back away, but was stopped when a pair of arms wrapped around his midsection.

"Mine!" Kagome growled, glaring at the woman she had grown to treat like an eccentric aunt. Then, when Lady Kimiko didn't try to challenge her claim, she turned her head to Sesshomaru. "Make babies! Now!"
