Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter and the song is From Me to You by Janis Ian

She looked at his pale blonde hair, his face was so soft as he slept. He looked like an angel. She left a note on his pillow, and left their- no, his bedroom.

I'm leaving by night, I'm leaving alone

Leaving it lie, when you waken I'll be gone

I would beg for me, as I would not beg for you,

But I'd like to be the one to see it through

She had fallen in love with him. She wasn't supposed to, her family had abandoned her because she had refused to leave him.

He was a not a Death Eater, but he wouldn't stop associating with known Death Eaters. There was nothing she could do to stop it. She was a fighter for the Light, not the Dark.

He would just promise to try and stop talking to them but, well it hadn't worked in the past.

Every step you have taken disappears with the tide,

You're torn up and shaken from changing your mind

You haven't got the grace to say you'll finally decide

And you haven't got the strength to say and fight.

She was sick of him crawling into bed in the early morning, after having been out all night, smelling like fear and pain. She was tired of the black robes that hung in the back of his closet, that he thought she didn't know about. She was afraid of the boxes she knew were hidden in the floorboards, Dark Arts.

Those people who surround you

Only want to see weak enough to crawl

They'll lie for you, decide for you

And buy up all your rights and all you wrongs

And they'll try to stop your singing

In the middle of your song

For they do not want you free

And they will not make you strong

But only drag you down in the whole they're coming from

She knew him better than anyone. She didn't know what she'd do now that she was leaving him.

She went to the linen closet( he never used it) and pulled out two battered brown leather suitcases. The only things in them were her clothes. The things she had bought, jeans and practical robes, nothing like the expensive robes and muggle clothes that Draco liked to see her in. And some of her personal things, but not much.

She put the two suitcases beside the door of the penthouse.

They say you are foolish in wanting the sun,

They call you in learning to run,

They'll tell you that the darkness

Is a blessing in disguise

For you never have to notice if you're sighted

Or your blind

And they'll do their best to keep you from the light.

She looked around the apartment once more, it looked like she had never been there. Like she hadn't been living there for the past eight months.

Once she left she could never go back. It was terrifying knowing that she'd be on her own for the first time ever. She'd gone from her parents house, to Hogwarts, back to her parents house and then here to Draco's apartment.

She set her key on the counter and Ginny Weasley walked out of the apartment.

You're than beginning, you're learning to fly,

Feels like you're falling but it passes in time

And I hate to see a friend to go down in flames

Without a song

So I'm waiting by the doorway, but I will not linger long.

Knock, Knock

Luna Lovegood went to answer her door when someone knocked on it and found Ginny Weasley standing on the other side. Tears were streaming down her cheeks, bags by her feet, and a look on her face, a mixture of pain and freedom, that told her everything she would have asked. Luna just stepped aside and let Ginny into the house.

I'm leaving by night, I'm leaving alone,

Leaving you lie, when you waken I'll be gone

I would not beg for me, as I would not beg for you

But I'd like to be the one to see you through.

Draco Malfoy woke to an empty bed and an even emptier apartment.

A/N: I don't know yet, but if my muse decides to visit again their may be some sort of sequel.
