Naraku sat in the corner of the room. No one knew the reason for which the dark hanyou always gravitated to dark corners was his spider nature or the whole dark lord of the forsaken edge aesthetics he went for.
He was dressed according to the newest fashion, which allowed a less formal attire with less layers and lacking the pristine straight lines of the more uptight fashion. His robes were still top quality and with stylish colors, but there was a sense of lazy confidence in these a bit less tightly wrapped layers concealing the purest of evils of Sengoku Jidai.
His incarnations, on the other hand, were almost all dressed in their usual attire, not influenced by the recent loosening of the fashion tastes. Only Byakuya wore his clothing a bit similarly to Naraku. Hakudoshi, watching something in the corner, wore a feudal Japan equivalent of sweatpants and t-shirt.
The evil hanyou pointed to Kanna, the pale incarnation of the void that had the most expressionless face of them all.
"Report."
"Inuyasha changed his relationship from being with Kikyou to dating Kagome." the girl said in a monotone voice. "And Band of Seven went to an event called 'To Die For' organized by Feudal Lords Associations. There is a whole album with them in the palace it was in. Bankotsu wrote he 'lost his head over it'"
"Dislike Inuyasha's status. Give a heart for the album." He looked at Kagura. "Twitter?"
"Nothing interesting. Ah, well, you lost a few followers after you wrote a post about about how you hate Shippou's fanart."
"What? It was atrocious!"
"It showed Inuyasha beating your ass, but otherwise it was pretty pleasant art," the wind sorceress shook her head.
"Byakuya?"
"Jakotsu finally made an instagram account and he binge liked all your photos of your cocoons in the basement," the youngest incarnation reported with a cringe. "Congratulations, you have one follower now."
Naraku glared at his last comment and then turned his head to where Hakudoshi sat, smirking at something only he could see on the screen of his phone.
"Brat, what's so funny?" he asked.
The boy glanced up at him and smirked wider.
"Oh, have a look for yourself," he said and shared the video on his phone with Kanna's mirror. All of them looked at the TikTok home page where the most watched video was titled 'I'm cospalying Naraku.' It was uploaded by Kikyou.
"Show me!" Naraku said excitedly and Kanna played the video. In which Kikyou, dressed in a fake baboon pelt, was mocking Naraku's way of speaking and acting, then she pretended fainting because Sesshomaru walked by.
"Towa just commented on it," Hakudoshi reported. "She said she..."
"He's not listening to you," Kagura interrupted him and pointed to Naraku, who was smiling widely.
"Kukuku, Kikyou cosplayed as me, Naraku! Look how fabulous she looks! Almost as dashing as me!"
