Author's note: I was browsing through the episode guide of FMA when I remembered several episodes: When Ed told Al 'no touching' in the episode where he became the living Philosopher's Stone and the encounter with Chopper, he told Al that he is nothing but a piece of armor and it is impossible for him to feel anything and he don't really have memories of the past.

I was inspired to write this on behalf of Al's point of view. Hehe of course this is not what he really feels but let us assume.

Warning: Spoilers ahead and a little hint of Elricest.

Disclaimers: I don't own any of the characters of this story nor the series. I just own the plot and that is all.

Brotherly Love.

It was sickening, the way that things become remembered. It hurts him so much what they were before. They were nomads, always in the search.

"… Ed…" Al spoke of his brother's name in his dream. He was sleep talking so to speak.

He was always teased. He was the only piece of armor that could possibly be vulnerable of emotion. It made him hurt every time all the lonely things come back to him, every thing about his memory that was only a few of the original amount. After he came back to his human form, to this young form that he can never grow.

Ironic.

"… Al no touching…" these words played vivid to him.

This bitterly slapped to his face. How could this only person be insensitive of his feelings? Feelings before and after. His brother was the only person to understand him but honestly, for him, the other failed.

Al panted, his breathing stocked to his lungs, he was sweating.

When he finally came back to his human form things seems to be foreign. He became new to how things feel and touch. He was afraid to get hurt. He was afraid because he didn't have those memories when he was still a hollow armor. He was afraid to touch the animal he used to be fascinated of.

He was the kindest armor of all. He was the only armor to nurse a kitten in his belly. He was the only armor who became the living philosopher stone. He was the only armor who treasures memory. And he may not be the only armor to love his brother, but he can be the only one to show his love.

"Don't leave me brother!" he shouted.

Forbid any harm to come along his brother's way. Everyone knows how he treasures Ed of all human. He is the only family he had: by blood. Even though there is Winry with them, his brother will always be his.

Ed though a heavy sleeper woke up. He saw his brother outstretched as he lay down on bed. Beads of sweat formed on Al's forehead, he was panting, his nails dug through the comforters.

Ed, all at once, shook his brother from deep slumber. Sooner, Al sat then panted.

"Ed…" Al said panting. He was searching on Ed's deep golden eyes.

"What happened, last time I checked you were sleeping and the next time you were panting like hell?" Ed responded.

"I had a nightmare…" Al said as he held Ed's shoulders shaking it.

Ed never saw Al this afraid. He listened to him silently. He felt fear for his brother and fear of the nightmare.

"…you were about to leave me…" Al softly said sniffing.

Ed smiled then turned to his little brother. He held up a hand then rumpled the others hair.

"Do you think I will leave you alone?" Ed asked playfully punching Al's shoulder.

"…" Al did not respond.

"Always your brother, forever your brother. And besides no one could ever take care of you except me. Right?" Ed said comfortingly.

"Yes."

And so as they finished their small conversation they came back to their sleep.
