Lizzie's POV

I was running down blood red halls, doors as far as the eye could see...all twisted and morphed in strange and curious shapes and as I looked behind a few things just kept getting even stranger...one room was full of tall mushrooms that rose high above my head towering over me...another was a room where up was down and down was up with the furniture on above my head and the chandelier standing upright like a lamp...another one was a garden where you could hear singing and a long table with nothing but teapots and cups all whistling by themselves along with the tune but it was the last door...a blood red one in the shape of a heart...that really seemed strange... it lead to a maze with thousands of bushes all covered in roses dripping red...

I approached them cautiously and touched a teardrop of wet pulling my finger away frowning at the substance realizing it was red paint...who on earth would paint roses red...I turned to head back to the hallway when I realized the door had disappeared and my eyes widened before I spun back to the maze since it was the only way to go now...I began to walk forward twisting and turning through it trying to find the exit when I heard the sound of a bugle horn and the sound of marching feet.

I moved to hide as playing cards with heads and feet made their way towards me marching in unison before they all stopped and countered off from one to the Jack forming an aisle before a white rabbit in a waistcoat came running down blowing a small horn.

"A rabbit in a waistcoat?" I found myself asking tilting my head in confusion.

"Presenting the Queen of Hearts!" the rabbit announced and I felt fear take hold of me waiting for the entrance of the queen but it never came and it was then that I noticed they were all looking in my direction.

"Me?" I asked and they all bowed.

"Your majesty" the rabbit said as he bowed, I frowned walking forward suddenly aware that I was in a red dress with black and yellow patterns around the skirt, and there was a weight atop of my head making me reach up and felt the cold metal of a crown.

"I'm the queen?" I questioned confused as I walked down the aisle with the cards all trembling at the sight of me...this all becomes curiouser and curiouser but never more so than when I suddenly came upon a garden of looking glasses and my eyes widened at the sight of myself...I looked like...my mother...my face curled in a sneer that no matter how hard I tried it wouldn't disappear.

"I told you my child, you are your mothers daughter" I heard and spun around coming face to face with my mother only she was dressed in peasant clothes. "In fact your crueler than I ever was"

"Was?" I asked since she wasn't making any sense.

"I would never really kill my own flesh and blood" I frowned confused until I looked down and saw my mother's head beneath my feet, her headless body beside it and when I looked back up I didn't see my mother in front of me instead I was looking at a copy of myself standing in the dress I had been wearing since upon further look down at myself I was in my usual clothes...my pirate sword strapped to my belt.

"No...no I wouldn't do this" I argued shaking my head.

"But we have" she argued sneering and I glared at her.

"No I'm nothing like her!" I yelled at her clenching my fists.

"We're worse than our mother" she argued.

"I could never do the things she's done"

"You already have, you're the purest of evil"

"I'm not!" I yelled and found myself having crossed the lawn towards her, my sword pressing into her neck glaring at the thin scar that was already there.

"Do it, truly become our mothers daughter"

"NO!" I yelled pushing her back into the looking glass seeing it shatter with the impact.

"Ilizabeth!" I heard someone call out and stopped looking up at the sky recognizing the voice but couldn't place it.

"You're lying to yourself...and you know that eventually it's going to happen and the first to fall prey to your wickedness with be the ones you love most..."

"Shut up, shut up!" I yelled pressing the sword in watching the blood flow and felt empowered by it and started losing hold on my sanity...pressing in even more watching the skin tear...

"LIZA!" I heard the voice call out again and...my eyes finally focused back in on reality and I saw Harry beneath me, his eyes wide and when I looked down I saw that I had a dagger pressed into his throat...my hands holding it and my eyes widened quickly dropping the dagger to the floor and scrambled off him onto the floor.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry" I apologized a thousand times as he sat up pressing a hand to his throat.

"It's okay" he held his hands up as he approached me cautiously. "Yeh were dreaming" I shook my head, pressing my hands to the side of my face.

"I didn't...I never..." I shook my head...the madness...it was coming back...I hurt him...I could see the small cut and the trickle of blood around it. "I'm sorry"

"Ilizabeth stop...I don't blame yeh...come here" he reached out for me but I flinched.

"No don't touch me, I don't want to hurt you again...I never meant to do that...the madness-"

"Liza stop!" he cut me off and didn't give me a choice as he pulled me towards him and sat me across his lap. "Yeh were dreaming, yeh did nothing love" I frowned looking up at him before my eyes dropped the the cut and hesitantly reached up and brushed away the blood seeing I hadn't cut too deeply but it was still a cut. "It's okay...I've had worse cuts from forgetting I was holding me hook while scratching an itch" I couldn't help the small laugh that escaped past my lips. "There's the smile that I love" I rolled my eyes at him but did feel a little better even though I'd hold guilt over it.

"We should treat that" I sighed standing up and quickly went over to his desk where the stuff that I'd been using to treat my neck wound, I got him to sit in the chair and I sat in his lap as I cleaned it up using the goop that Harriet had gotten from Madam Mim that would help stop infection.

"Why do yeh sleep with a dagger?" Harry asked making my frown deepen.

"I...sorry, it was never meant to be used against you but I started sleeping with it under my pillow after you rescued me from my mother"

"Yeh know you don't have to do that" he argued tilting my chin up with his hand.

"I know, it's instinctual these days to protect myself...even in my sleep apparently" I sighed finishing up with the cut on his neck.

"I wasn't opposed to the position I woke up in...save for the knife to me throat" he smirked and I rolled my eyes at him but smile a little remembering myself sitting on top of him much like I was now...forgetting how intimate this seemed since it had been innocent...well until he brought it up.

"Your all done" I stated getting up off his lap turning to clean up all the bloody pieces of cloth.

"Still dashing, don't yeh think?" he asked looking over at the mirror that hung on the closet door inspecting the cut for himself and my smile grew as I sniggered turning back to him.

"You're still roguishly gorgeous" I told him and his smirk grew as I fluffed his ego...but just this once.

"Don't forget devilishly handsome" he added raising an eyebrow at me and I bit back the smile at how adorable it looked.

"Don't push your luck Hook" I shot back at him with a smirk. "Get dressed, we're supposed to be meeting the others at the Chip Shoppe remember" I moved towards the closet and pulled out some clothes smiling at my leather jacket since I'd painted over my old logo on the back wanting no affiliation with my mother and instead the words 'Ride with the Tide' now displayed proudly on my back .

I went into the ships bathroom or 'loo' as Harry calls it and washed off the island's filth getting changed out of the shorts and shirt that I wore to bed putting on some black jeans that had splashed red paint up the legs, a red singlet top with a black waistcoat over the top and my newly restyled jacket leaving it unzipped.

I added my red fingerless gloves to my hands, a red heart bracelet since I didn't want to part with all my red heart insignia's and the matching heart earrings into my ears before I slipped my feet into some high heeled boots which were red and black...my signature colors and placed my hat atop my head.

"Any day now princess" I heard Harry's voice from behind the door which I thankfully had locked, it had been my idea to put a lock on the door after I moved onto the ship, I rolled my eyes at his impatience as I finished up doing my hair which I kept down in its usual waves and finished with the mascara around my eyes before I finally went over unlocking the door opening it seeing him leaning on the opposite wall dressed from his night clothes as well and smirked noticing he'd forgone his red leather jacket for the black sleeveless long tailed coat that I'd made him last week from a bunch of old fabric and pieces of leather I'd stolen/bought from the bazaar, I even sewn a hook on the back for him...little to say that he loved it.

"Nice jacket"

"Mm thank yeh, some girl made it for me?"

"Just some girl?" I challenged stepping up to him.

"Just the most amazing girlfriend on the whole island"

"You better believe it" I told him and he smirked pulling me into him for a kiss but he stopped confusing me since Harry was never one to delay kissing me.

"I got yeh something"

"Really, a present for me?" I asked fake gasping. "You spoil me Harry Hook"

"Yer deserve it" he smiled before he reached into his pocket and pulled something out and he held up a necklace by its chain and my smile widened when I saw the pendant that hung from it...it was a hook and a heart entwined together...it was us.

"Oh my god, where did you get it?" I asked since it was perfect.

"I had it made for yeh, cost me my last rubies from that crown I found on the barge but like I said yeh worth it"

"It's perfect Harry, I love it" I turned around and let him put it around my neck before I turned back to him wrapping my arms around his neck. "I didn't get you anything" I pouted.

"Yeh made me this jacket" he shrugged and that was true. "Besides yeh don't need to get me anything, I have the world already with you by my side" I couldn't help blush since that was such a cheesy line but so Harry.

"Thank you" I smiled at him.

"Perhaps gratitude is in order now" he smirked before tapping a finger against his lips.

"That's what the thank you was for" I said knowing exactly what he was after.

"I'm wounded luv, here I thought yeh cared about me" he remarked and I rolled my eyes before I leaned in and captured his lips with my own, it beginning to get heated when I felt his hands on my hips and he spun us around so that I was pressed against the wall and him.

"Argh can't you two do that anywhere but here" Harriet groaned making us pull apart with flushed faces with being caught making out in the hallway as she'd just come out of her room. "I don't want to see that right as I wake up in the morning"

"Then don't come out of yeh room" Harry smirked at her and he got something thrown at him but he ducked out of the way in time.

"Get out of here!" he laughed at her anger grabbing my hand and we quickly left heading above the deck and onto land heading towards the Chip Shoppe ignoring the excited buzz of VK day around us since today was the day Mal and the others were due back but we were avoiding that fiesta.

"The lovers have finally arrived!" Gonzo called out as soon as we entered the Chip Shoppe and I rolled my eyes at him as we dropped our swords into the sword check and made our way over sitting down.

"What happened to your neck?" Gil asked looking at Harry.

"Nothing" Harry replied glaring at him clearly warning him not to bring it up but it was already too late and I felt the guilt take over me again.

"Wow you two really get into it don't you's" Desiree laughed and Gonzo joined in with her.

"Did you notice the traitors are back" Gonzo announced thankfully changing the subject. "Their dancing their way through the center of the Isle as all the losers wave more applications at them begging to be taken to Auradon, including Bonny and Jonas" I frowned shaking my head at the thought of begging those traitors.

"Traitors" Harry called out annoyed with our former crew mates. "Why anyone would want to beg those four to go to Bore-a-don is beyond me" Harry added and I smiled grabbing his hand as he wrapped it over my shoulders.

"It's all over-rated if you ask me" I added onto his statement.

"Over-valued" Gonzo smirked at us.

"And Auradon is way too sunny" Desiree quickly added and we all laughed at the trashing we just gave those traitors VK Day nonsense. "I wonder who they'd even pick though" she added once we stopped laughing.

"That little brat from the Curl Up & Dye is bound to have already been invited" Gonzo replied and I frowned at the thought of Dizzy leaving but he wasn't wrong since there was no way Evie wasn't going to leave her behind again.

"Yeah no doubt" Harry scoffed and I rolled my eyes at him since he was bitter as it meant he couldn't steal money from her anymore.

"We should go and see" Gil said and we all turned to him. "See who they're taking" he added when he saw all our looks.

"He makes a point" I shrugged since I was kind of interested in who the other three were that were going to join the traitorous ranks of sell-outs.

"Let's go" Gil smiled heading for the doors and I smiled at him.

"Come on" I told the others standing up. "Let's go make fun of the sell-outs" Desiree and Gonzo stood up but Harry hesitated. "Your passing up the chance to make fun of someone"

"I don't care" he shrugged making me frown since it wasn't like Harry to pass up a chance to tease and intimidate people.

"You guys go on ahead" I told the others and they nodded leaving, after they were gone I approached Harry and settled myself leaning against the table beside him crossing my arms over my chest. "What's wrong?"

"Why should we care who they pick, they're all traitors for going to Bore-a-don" he replied and it didn't take me long to understand, he was thinking about CJ who we'd found out and managed to get off the Isle and was now living in Auradon along with Freddie Facilier but that wasn't as hard to swallow since CJ was his sister and he took that as a harder abandonment as it came from family.

"This is about CJ" I pointed out already knowing I was right and he hung his head confirming I'd been right. "You can't blame her for striking when the iron was hot and from what Harriet told us she didn't exactly escape, it was just luck"

I'd told Harry what I heard that day and he confronted his sister and she told us that she'd had letters from CJ explaining how she got out, Evie and Mal had accidently wished themselves back from the Genies daughters lamp and when they wished themselves off Freddie and CJ had got caught in the spell and got taken with them.

CJ had tried to take over Auradon but unsurprisingly it hadn't gone well and she eventually traded in and was now living it up in Auradon which didn't help the sting that she'd gotten off the Isle without even trying whereas we'd failed to do so twice now.

"She became a traitor" he seethed so I reached out and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"She's your sister Harry and I'm sure when we finally find a way off this place then you'll give her a piece of your mind but for right now there's no point pouting about it" I moved my hand to cup his cheek. "Now where's my self-assured boyfriend, I mean think at all those disappointed souls that don't get picked...they'll be right for the picking and to be pillaged" that brought the smirk back to his face.

"That's why I love yeh" he said kissing my cheek before he stood and ran out the door making me laugh and quickly catch up with him racing and dodging our way through the Isle until we made it to the bridge where we saw Gonzo, Desiree and Gil on one of the balcony's and stepped up beside them.

"What have we missed?" I asked looking down at the scene.

"They're about to pick" Gil told us.

"I can't believe this day has finally arrived!" Evie yelled out and her and Mal stepped up to the railing of the balcony with Jay and Carlos on the stairs on either side of it, it had once been the gateway to the bridge that was broken between the Isle and Auradon, everyone cheered standing below them like they were royals which made me glare. "I honestly wish that we could take you all with us and someday, very soon maybe we can"

"Yeah right" Harry scoffed next to me and I smiled a little placing my hand over his as we held onto the metal railing looking down at the traitorous scene below us.

"Yeah we're gonna be back here so many times your going to be so sick of us" Mal added.

"So sick of us" Evie laughed as well as everyone else. "Can I get a drumroll please?" she asked and everyone but us started stomping their feet against the ground. "First I would like to begin with the granddaughter of Lady Tremaine, daughter of Drizella...my sweet, sweet friend...my Dizzy" she announced and Gonzo huffed.

"Called it!" he said.

"Like she wouldn't take the brat" Harry added making me smile but I was sad that she was leaving for a purely insensitive reason as my hair will never look the same...sure I can do it myself from the experience I had as a kid working in my own mothers salon but Dizzy was the next best thing when I wasn't bothered to do it myself.

"Next is son of Smee" Carlos announced the next chosen one. "Come on Squeaky" he waved one of the oldest Twin of Smee over to him and Squeaky ran over to him.

"And no way we're splitting up the twins so get over here Squirmy!" Jay quickly added and Squirmy ran over him with Smee greatly encouraging them and Harry's hand clenched around mine making me look at him seeing him glaring at the twins of his father's sidekick being chosen.

"Oh no...whatever will you do without stealing their squid snacks" I laughed and he rolled his eyes at me since he made it his mission to steal from the twins quite often or just plain torment them.

"And last but certainly not least we all picked this girl because we all agreed that she could use a little bit of Fairy Godmother's goodness class" Mal was next.

"That can't be a real class" Harry scoffed and I smirked since knowing Auradon it probably was, how else did those Auradon prats learn how to be all good and almighty. "Give it on up for Dr Facilier's daughter Celia"

"I'm bad!" Celia announced as everyone cheered and she spun on the spot before heading up onto the balcony, I'd never given Celia much thought a part of school when she always tried hustling kids into tarot card readings, myself included when I first went back to Dragon Hall for a very short amount of time.

"Traitor" I spat but again we shouldn't be surprised seeing as her Dad was the one steamrolling the whole VK program and knowing him he made the original traitors a deal that she was one of the four to go to Auradon in order for him to help them.

"We'll be back for you guys next week" Carlos told them.

"So pack your stuff...your own stuff" Jay added pointing at them.

"Turncoat" Harry scoffed since Jay used to be the notorious thief of the Isle and now he was a hypocrite.

"Where are we going?" Mal and Evie asked them.

"We're going to..." Dizzy and Celia started.

"Auradon!" everyone yelled out.

"Let's go" I told the others and we turned from the scene leaving it up to all the traitors to celebrate as we pitifully returned to the Chip Shoppe.
