Chapter 2-3
Don't forget your mission, Davey, get a sample of whatever Hobgoblin stabbed me with from his glider.
Spidey kicked Scarlet Spider back onto the penthouse. Spidey landed on his two feet, and so did Scarlet Spider. They both crouched to the ground in a perch position and looked at each other, tilting their heads curiously.
So, THIS is the third copy-spider. Interesting. Nice sweater, Ben Reilly.
They fire webs at each other. Spidey manages to dodge and shoots a web at Scarlet Spider's only functioning web-shooter. Unlike last time with the sidekick-spider, Scarlet Spider held his other hand up and used it to block the web-shooters from the web. Scarlet Spider was hit in the back of his hand with the webs before pointing at Spidey.
"You're not going to use that trick on me, Spider-Man."
Spidey web-zips over to Scarlet Spider and tackles him to the ground. They roll across the ground before Scarlet Spider kicks Spidey off the roof. Spidey shoots a web and swings into a window on the floor beneath the penthouse. He crashes through a sleeping couple's building and runs out of their apartment and took the stairs up the penthouse.
As Spidey was running up, Scarlet Spider turned to chase after Spidey when his spider-sense went off. He ducked as a pool of acid was fired at him. He turned and leaped out of the way as the Scorpion came jumping off from one of the buildings and nearly on him.
Scarlet Spider takes out web-fluid from his utility belt and inserts it in his one and only active web-shooter. He fires a single ball of webbing at Scorpion's chest. The web ball exploded and trapped Scorpion in webbing.
Scorpion broke out instantly and swung his tail at Scarlet Spider. Scarlet leaps out the way and scales the building. He catapults himself towards the Scorpion and they crash through the floor and land on the bed of the apartment directly beneath them. The couple living there were woken up from Spidey's earlier incursion and moved off the bed just as the two superhumans came crashing down. They both ran out of there.
Scarlet punches Scorpion in the face until the villain slashed Scarlet across the chest with his tail and covered his chest in green goo. Scarlet convulsed in pain and Scorpion knocked him off. With Scarlet Spider convulsing in pain, Scorpion climbed on top of him and held his tail over Scarlet's eyes.
Scorpion stabs the tail at Scarlet, who dodged at the last second, before whipping out a new type of web-fluid from his belt and putting it into his web-shooter. He shoots Scorpion in the mouth, which was uncovered by his green mask.
The name of this web-fluid was called 'Web Bullet', which was powerful enough to send Scorpion flying back and crash through the ceiling and back onto the penthouse floor.
Scarlet Spider picks himself up and prepares to leap after Scorpion when he is struck in the back of the head and collapses to the ground.
Spidey was standing over the fallen Scarlet Spider with a dented aluminum baseball bat in his hands. He stared at the unconscious Scarlet Spider in shock.
Holy shit, his spider-sense didn't go off. I hit him over the head with this baseball bat like Babe Ruth and his spider-sense didn't go off. Why is that? Does he not have a spider-sense or something? No, he caught that football in the cafeteria so he's got the spider-sense, which means it's gotta be something else that didn't trigger his sixth sense. Since all six opponents are here, fighting each other, I should use this opportunity to examine my opponents for weak points.
Spidey swings out the window from earlier and towards a building. Since he lacked his wall-crawling ability, he shot a web up the building and hung from it, climbing up until he got a good view of the battle and watching.
If blue-sweater Spider-Man and Scorpion are out for now, where's Prowler and that worthless sidekick in the black suit?
On the other end of the battlefield, the Prowler was recovering himself. He sent out a signal that ordered his gauntlet to come back to him. When he got his glove back, he dived out the window, activating his jet pack, and flew to help out Scorpion when he felt someone land on his back.
"Hey there, big guy," a young voice belonging to a boy yelled. "They call you the Prowler... that's a bad name."
Prowler shakes off the spider figure by swerving as he flew. He looked over his shoulder to see the spider-sidekick clinging to his back. He sent out his gauntlet he just got back and redirected its path to punch the spider-sidekick in the face.
The spider-sidekick tried dodging but Prowler swerved so the sidekick's face would be in the glove's path and his face took the full hit. The spider-sidekick fell off the flying villain and fell to the ground in a dazed state. Regaining his sense half a second later, he shoots his web at Prowler's foot and hung on as they flew away. The last thing that could be seen as they flew away was the spider-sidekick climbing onto Prowler's foot and activating the electrokinesis in his feet. Prowler must not have felt it because he didn't flinch so much as an inch.
Spidey narrowed his eyes behind his mask.
Interesting. The spider-sidekick, I'll call him Spider-Miles for obvious reasons, has the ability to shoot electricity from his fingertips but they require direct physical contact and lack long-ranged attacks. Not only that, but the Prowler can send signals to all parts of his suit like the Iron Giant. He can control them remotely to do his bidding and his armor can withstand electricity.
Good, and based on what I saw earlier, Scarlet Spider has access to multiple gadgets for his web-shooters. Scorpion can shoot multiple types of acid and poison from his tail and he possesses superhuman strength.
Now, where are Hobgoblin and Cind-
As if God answered his question, Cindy swung up from beside Spidey and kicked him in the back with both feet. Spidey went falling to the ground but webbed himself up the penthouse and settled on the roof beside the disabled Scorpion. Cindy landed a few feet next to him and took a fighting stance.
My spider-sense didn't go off, just like the blue-sweater Spider-Man. I would say that it's linked to the blue-sweater Spider-Man but then again, as each day passes, I'm losing more and more of my powers because of the Hobgoblin. It looks like my spider-sense is the next power for me to lose.
Spidey holds both of his hands up in surrender. "Listen, let's not fight. You and I are on the same side."
"Same side my ass," Cindy snarled. "I don't kill. I don't abuse my power. Turn yourself in, Spidey, and make this easy for us."
"Listen-"
"Silk," she said, "the name's Silk. The Spider-Man in the blue sweater is Scarlet Spider."
Silk? I kinda like that name, reminds me of her hair but I prefer Cindy- WAIT A SECOND!
Spidey's eyes widened behind his mask.
Why the hell am I getting so soft around her? I doubt it's a side-effect of Hobey's superpower-killer formula. Cindy and I were bitten by the same spider. I will say that I find her to be attractive but only because we're instinctive mates. I'm going completely primal around her and I-
At lightning speed, Silk lunges for him and punches him across the jaw. Spidey flies back but catches himself in a backflip. He holds his hands up to fire before the recovering Scorpion slashes him across the back with a burning green substance and threw him inside the building with his tail.
Silk frontflips towards Scorpion after webbing him in the eyes and punches him across the face several times before he slashes his tail at her. Silk jumps and catapults herself at him, kicking him with both feet and sending him flying over the edge of the penthouse. Silk quickly fires several webs at him to catch him before letting him dangle halfway down the building.
"Where are you, Spidey?"
She runs inside the building to see Spidey leaning up against the wall, green goo on his back that looked like it was eating through his costume. Silk reached over to grab Spidey's back but her silk-sense went off. With lighting reflex, she did the limbo and dodged an incoming glider over her head by a few inches. She straightens back up and sees Hobgoblin standing before her, the glider behind him.
"Who are you?" Hobgoblin asked. "I don't know who you are. I heard that there were three Spider-Men but I only know about two. You're not supposed to be here."
Silk webs the mouth on his mask shut. "Don't you ever get tired of hearing yourself talk?"
Hobgoblin rolled his eyes. "You know that I'm wearing a mask and I can still talk?" Hobgoblin pulled the web off his mask and dodged as Silk lunged for him. She threw several punches at him, almost faster than the eye could comprehend, but Hobgoblin blocked and parried each strike.
In the ensuing chaos, Hobgoblin kicks Silk in the stomach and sent her back. She jumps onto him, wrapped her legs around his shoulders, and began punching him in the face. Hobgoblin looks up at her with each punch, no sign of pain behind his masked face. In fact, it made him laugh at the top of his lungs.
Spidey lunges for Hobgoblin's feet. Hobgoblin wrapped his hands around Silk's waist and bodyslammed her on top of Spidey. The two of them slam into the floor before Hobgoblin piledrives on both of them.
The three of them fall through the penthouse floor with Hobgoblin being the first to recover.
While Silk pushes herself off of Spidey, she lunges for Hobgoblin, leaving Spidey behind. Spidey recovers and shoots a web through the hole in the ceiling and pulls himself back onto the penthouse. He crawls across the floor a few feet before he carefully picks himself up and takes a deep breath, a couple of bones cracking in his back; whether it was because his bones were popped or broken, he didn't know.
That fucking hurt a lot.
He winces and puts a hand to the green goo on his back. He rubbed his fingers along the goo before looking at them on his fingers.
It's not acid but it's definitely doing something to me.
Unbeknownst to him, Scarlet Spider leaps out of the hole behind him. Spidey turned around in the nick of time and dodged a punch. He slides across the floor and rotates to meet Scarlet Spider's gaze. Scarlet Spider took position a few feet away, his back turned to the huge windows before him. Spidey narrowed his eyes in confusion.
What is that?
His eyes widened.
Oh shit.
From outside, the Prowler comes crashing through the giant window with Spider-Miles on his back. The Scarlet Spider had been standing in their path but he backflipped over them at the very last second, confirming to Spidey that he did have a spider-sense. The two of them crash into the granite kitchen counter and create a mess. Spidey backs away from them as Spider-Miles suddenly leaps off of Prowler and lunges for Spidey. Spidey dodges the first couple of punches and winced when he saw electricity sparking between Spider-Miles's fingers.
Direct contact is required.
Spidey leans all the way back as Spider-Miles was about to touch his chest, almost bending backward into a U before he kicked the spider-sidekick between the legs. Spider-Miles convulsed and Spidey punched him across the jaw. Spidey had to turn to see the Prowler picking himself up and activating his jet pack and flying outside. Prowler flew outside the building and returned thirty seconds later, having greed Scorpion from Silk's webbing and bringing him in to fight Spidey, Scarlet Spider, and Spider-Miles.
Great, all we're missing now is Hobgoblin and Silk.
The floor beneath Spidey erupted as debris flew up and Silk came flying through. She hit her back hard against the ceiling and fell to the ground beside Spidey's feet. Spidey continued to back away, aware of the overwhelming number of enemies around him and his lack of spider-sense helping him out.
It feels surreal to be surrounded by SIX enemies at once, a HUGE step up from Green Goblin and Detective Octopus. Hobgoblin, Prowler, Scorpion, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Miles, and Cindy. Luckily, they're not exactly working together so I can use that to my advantage.
Hobgoblin climbs out of the new hole and faces Spidey.
"The gangs all here," he snarked. "Like the Brady Bunch except there's seven of us."
Not to mention that one of us is named Cindy.
Hobgoblin looked at his companions. "What are you guys waiting for, a drum solo? Slaughter each other!"
After this, it became a free-for-all brawl for the seven superhumans.
The Scorpion had a score to settle with the Scarlet Spider so he made him his target while Prowler went after Spider-Miles, leaving Spidey, Silk, and Hobgoblin unaccounted for. With Silk still recovering from her injury, Spidey fought Hobgoblin.
"I see your powers are leaving you, Spider. Pretty soon, you'll be weaker than a skeleton."
I owe you for taking my powers away from me.
Spidey uppercut Hobgoblin, but he barely reacted. Hobgoblin does the same to Spidey, he falls back against the window, breaking it and nearly falling out. He shoots a web at Hobgoblin, catching himself, who hurls Spidey towards him and punches him. He grabs Spidey by the waist and bodyslams him. The ground didn't break this time but Spidey wrapped his forearms tight around Hobgoblin's head and held on. Hobgoblin picked Spidey up and called in his glider.
The glider hovered outside and flew towards them. Spidey didn't need his spider-sense to know that the glider was out there, he had a hearing and the glider's engines were loud. Spidey tried prying himself free but Hobgoblin held onto him.
What was I thinking? What would be the point of bringing his superpower-killer formula with him if he already injected me and saw my powers slowly fading away? This was all for nothing.
Silk jumped forward and tackled Spidey and Hobgoblin to the ground. The glider flew past them and impaled itself into the wall.
"Stay out of this, bitch," Hobgoblin growled. He backhanded Silk off of him and kicked her ten feet away. Spidey punches Hobgoblin but the effect was the same as before. Hobgoblin held his grip on Spidey as he picked himself up and went running towards the window. Spidey managed to pry himself free and frontflip off of Hobgoblin's shoulders.
Hobgoblin continued running towards the window and jumped out. The glider flew back towards him and he hopped on. He turned on his glider and prepared to fire several missiles into the penthouse.
"Prowler, Scorpion, take cover."
The two villains took cover and that's when Spidey realized what was going to happen.
Going to nuke us with your rockets with your teammates still in the building? Some loyal boss you are.
Spidey held his hand up and fired two webs at the missiles on the glider. Hobgoblin, realizing what was about to happen, ceased firing the missiles and made the glider fly back. Spidey was nearly pulled towards the window to fall to his death before Silk grabbed him and yanked him back, but also causes the webs to the glider to break apart. Silk turned and jumped onto Hobgoblin's glider and began wailing everything she had at him.
This isn't getting anywhere; nobody here has had the experience of fighting other superpowered beings except me and the only reason I'm losing is that my abilities are failing me. No one is winning or losing, they're just throwing haymakers at each other and hoping that the other falls. This whole thing is a waste of my time.
Spidey backs away and gets hit in the back by Scarlet Spider. Scarlet Spider grabs the back of Spidey's neck and throws him in Spider-Miles's direction. Spidey lunges backward and causes Spider-Miles to slam into a junction box but the young hero kept a tight grip around Spidey.
"You're not going anywhere, Spider-Man," Spider-Miles said.
Spidey tried breaking free once more and watched as the kid held his hands up and began priming up the electricity in his fingers.
Not in the mood for shock therapy today. It hasn't made me neurotypical before, won't make me neurotypical now.
Spidey broke out of Spider-Miles's grip just as Scarlet Spider armed his web-shooters with the electric webs. Scarlet shoots an electric web at Spidey, who quickly dodges and hits Spider-Miles in the chest.
Spider-Miles jolted and screamed as the electricity coursed through his body. His back was still against the junction box and when the electricity coursed his body, it transferred to the junction box and caused the power in the penthouse to go out. Now everyone was blind as the lights went out, only lights from outside lit up the penthouse but only a small illumination.
Prowler activated his thermal vision and held his hand up and sent it flying towards Spidey.
Spidey took the full brunt force of the flying gauntlet smashing into the side of his face and sending him flying to the ground. Spidey picked himself up but had to steady himself against the wall in order to maintain his composure.
So that's what it feels like to get punched by a superpowered glove.
Scarlet Spider and Spider-Miles ran up on Spidey and they grabbed him by his waist on both sides and bodyslammed him into the ground, which made Spidey scream in agony. They attacked him with their fists until their spider-senses warned them about Prowler and Scorpion. They webbed Spidey to the wall and went to fight the villains.
Prowler called his gauntlet back as Spider-Miles was nearly on him. He sucker punched Spider-Miles across the face and delivered another to the stomach. Spider-Miles took the first few hits before uppercutting Prowler. He activated the electricity in his fingers and grabbed Prowler's neck. Prowler flinched this time, jolting a little but he pushed Spider-Miles back and caused him to trip over something on the ground. Prowler pounces on him and puts his hands on his throat and begins strangling the life out of him.
Spider-Miles's eyes roll to the back of his skull and he web-yanks the table and hits Prowler off of him.
Spidey finally broke free of the webbing and ran up to the nearest window. He web-yanked the window, shattering it, and limped over to jump out.
I'm hurting all fucking over. I gotta get the fuck out of here!
Matthew Bloke, the host of the black symbiote, swung like a drunk driver over to the penthouse. After overhearing cops talking about a disturbance at a penthouse, he knew that it had something to do with Spider-Man. The black symbiote made Matthew swing as quickly as possible over the scene of the crime.
"We can't afford to let Spider-Man escape this time. We shall bond to him and he shall be our new host. Hurry up, Matthew, swing faster!"
The black symbiote didn't know how Spider-Man swung from building to building exactly but he knew that since his name is Spider-Man, he uses webs to swing across. He knew he was using webs but not how he was shooting the webs. The best he had to offer was making the webbing out of its only symbiote.
Matt and the symbiote swung across town with the symbiote-webs as quickly as possible, determined to bond to Spidey before he slipped away.
Spidey was two feet away from jumping out the window before Hobgoblin and Silk flew in front of him. Hobgoblin had Silk by the back of her hair, her left eye black and bleeding, and her nose leaking down her mask. Hobgoblin punches Silk as hard as he could in the face before he throws her at Spidey.
Spidey and Silk collide and they barely had any time to react when a pumpkin bomb was thrown at them, a few seconds away from detonating. Without thinking, Spidey swats the pumpkin bomb away like a fly and the bomb goes off. Instead of exploding like a grenade, the pumpkin bomb spread a small quantity amount of napalm throughout the penthouse.
Ah great. First, it's a free-for-all brawl for seven of us, then I get bodyslammed by Reilley and Morales, the power goes out, I get the snot kicked out of me by Hobgoblin and Silk, a fire breaks out, and finally, I'm stabbed in the back with a green goo of some kind that is making me dizzy.
Silk elbows Spidey in the face, knocking him to the ground before she fires webbing from all fingers at the Hobgoblin.
I gotta get out of here.
"The fact that you're here just proves you're not a smart guy, Spider-Man," Hobgoblin said. "You may be smart, but you're stupid."
Spidey slowly crawls away from Silk and towards the shattered window once more. He crawls using his forearm and right leg. When he makes it to the frame, Hobgoblin aims at him and prepares to fire the missiles at him once more.
"Get out of there, Spider-Man!" Silk cried and lunged for him.
Hobgoblin pressed his foot down on a pressure pad to fire the missiles but something happened. The missiles were armed but they weren't firing. When Hobgoblin realized this, he looked down and growled. Before he could stomp his foot down, the glider stalled and went flying without direction downward.
"WHAT THE FUCK!"
Huh, that's interesting. Did your glider suddenly and spontaneously malfunction on you? Hate to say it, Hobby, but a black cat crossed your path.
Black Cat grinned mischievously as she watched Hobgoblin spin out of control and nearly crash.
"I thought you could use a hand, Spider."
Matthew Bloke landed on the side of the building, the symbiote clinging him to the wall. Matt looks up at the penthouse a few floors above him. He climbed up the building but hesitated when he saw the fire.
"Fire... why did it have to be fire?"
He made Matt slap himself on the head and made him climb up.
Haha, see you later, Hobgoblin.
Spidey watched with glee as Hobgoblin was about to crash into the building a few blocks away. He looked behind him to see Silk running towards the window in horror and she leaped out and swung towards Hobgoblin.
Without hesitating, Spidey threw himself out of the window and let him fall several stories. He looked above him to look for a vantage point he could wing on. When he found one, he held his hand out.
"Shit, he's going to escape?"
The symbiote host looked up to see Spider-Man falling toward him. Realizing that he was about to swing away and escape, the black symbiote held out Matt's hand and shoot off a piece of himself at the web-slinger.
"We put a piece of ourselves on Spider-Man, we'll use that to track his location."
Spidey shot a web out and swung alongside the building. He gasped in pain as he was hit by what felt like a brick against his back. He nearly lost his composure but he contained himself at the last second and continued to swing off.
What the hell was that? What fucking hit me in my back? Probably the green goo Scorpion stabbed me with. Whatever it was, I'll worry about it later.
Spidey crashes into the side of a building and without his wall-crawling abilities, he went falling. He shot a web out and pulled himself to the roof. He ran as fast as he could across the roof and dived over the edge and swung off.
I probably look like a spider swinging while intoxicated. Good thing I don't need a license to web-swing.
David's Apartment
'When we finally kiss good night
How I'll hate going out in a storm
But if you'll really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dyin'
And my dear, we're still goodbyin'
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow-
Misa turned off the music on her kitchen's Bluetooth speaker as she switched to the news. The Daily Bugle was reporting on the burning of a penthouse along with a fight that took place there. The Superhuman Seven as Jameson called them had a brawl there that resulted in the power going out and a fire breaking out.
"We should be lucky, folks," Jameson said into the camera. "Nobody was hurt but that doesn't make what happened any less tragic. Apartments were destroyed because of these menaces and supervillains and the money to repair the penthouse is coming out of taxpayers' pockets."
The Daily Bugle showed footage of an injured Spider-Man swinging away.
"Look at that folks, Spider-Man of all people was there and he is swinging away from the scene of the crime, clearly injured. He shouldn't have swung away; he went to the penthouse to fight the villains and him retreating is just irresponsible."
The three villains were shown escaping. "And let's not forget about the Trinity of Villains. These were the ones who are responsible for the penthouse burning down. They escaped justice only because the three new webheads were busy pulling out civilians."
Scarlet Spider, Spider-Miles, and Silk were rescuing civilians from the building and swinging them to the ground floor.
"Speaking of new webheads, they should be held accountable for their actions, all three of them. Granted, they may not kill people as Spider-Man does but why couldn't they put their differences aside and work together with Spider-Man to take down the Terrible Trio? Why did the fight have to get out of control and cause a blackout and fire? If they had just worked with Spider-Man, they could've avoided much less collateral damage and Spider-Man wouldn't have to swing away and then they couldn't fight and brought Spidey to justice.
"I'm not saying these new webheads are evil but they're irresponsible. Because they opted to fight both Spider-Man and the Terrible Trio, it allowed the murderous Spider-Man to escape and the aforementioned collateral damage. In my opinion, I think that all of those masked vigilantes are menaces. They should just hang up their webs and let the police, the true heroes of this city, do their jobs."
THUD!
Misa quickly muted the TV and ran into David's room, where she heard the thud. She pushes his door open and sees Spidey hanging on a web against the window. "David!" Misa quickly rushes over and opens the window and pulls him in.
Spidey falls to the ground and matches his mask off, revealing his heavily bruised and bleeding face. Misa was mindful of the green goo on Spidey's back and carefully lifted him up. As she helped him to his feet, she could hear cracking in his back, almost as if bones in his back were broken. She takes him out to the living room couch after closing his window and sets him down.
Unknown to any of them, the black symbiote goo that tagged him leaped off his leg and hid under his desk, waiting patiently in the dark.
"I saw what happened on the news. Are you okay?"
David sits down on the couch. He sits up and makes sure not to let any of the green goo get on the couch. Misa came back with an emergency medical kit and got to work on his wounds.
Aside from his wounded face, she found that he had a few bones in his spine broken, he had a busted ribcage and internal bleeding.
"Any cuts with bleeding wounds?"
"No," Misa answered. She looked over his costume one more time to be sure. "You're not bleeding outside your costume."
Good and even if I was, all the blood would be back in the penthouse, burning in the napalm.
"What happened? You've never come home this wounded before." Misa took a rag and doused it with rubbing alcohol. She held it to a wound on his cheek.
"OW!" he winced. "That hurts."
"Sorry."
David sighed carefully and held the rag to his wound. He let his mother work her medical skills on him. She took a towel and used it to wipe the green goo off his back.
Normally, I wouldn't care too much about something like this, Mom fixing my wounds and whatnot, but with my powers degrading with each passing day, my regenerative healing might be next. I already lost my wall-crawling, super-jump, and spider-sense. I still have my agility, strength, and healing factor but it's only a matter of time before I lose all my powers.
"I'm not going to lose," David whispered under his breath. "Tonight was a huge loss and-"
"Who are those spider-men?"
David looked at his mother. "What difference does it make? They're going to die."
"I saw on the news that a fire broke out at the penthouse."
"The Hobgoblin dropped a napalm pumpkin bomb. That battle really fucked me up."
"I can tell. And those spider-people? How did they get your powers?"
"I don't know!" he snapped. "I don't care about that; I'm in so much FUCKING pain and my back is broken! Stop fucking asking questions!"
"Goddamn it, David!" Misa began putting bandages on the wounds she disinfected. "What's going on, Davey?"
"I'm losing my fucking powers!" He stood up and winced as the pain in his back returned tenfold. "Hobgoblin stabbed me with something that is causing me to lose my powers." He began pacing in front of the muted TV, the anger never leaving his voice as he spoke. "I lost my climbing, jumping, and my spider-sense. I went to the penthouse to try and get a sample of his poison off his glider and I didn't get anywhere near the glider. Hobgoblin, Prowler, Scorpion, Scarlet, Miles, they attacked me. I was completely helpless and they fucking made mincemeat of me.
"Those spider-guys should be on my side but they're generic superheroes. And Hobgoblin, he pisses me off so much. Why does he have to win each battle? Why does he have to cause me to lose my powers? Why... why did C-"
"David..." Misa carefully sat up and grabbed her son's arms. "You're tired and in pain. You need to go to sleep."
"No, I'm going to find them and kill them. They attacked me, they hurt me, I'm going to kill them. I'm going to kill every single one of them. Hobgoblin, Prowler, Scorpion, Reilly, Morales, I'm going to fucking murder ALL OF THEM!"
"DAVID!" Misa screamed in his face. "You're tired and exhausted. You need to rest."
"No, not yet, not until I kill them. I-I-I-"
"Need sleep. You need rest. Come with me."
"No... I..."
Misa carefully leads David to his bedroom. He resisted but barely put in the effort to steal his hand back from his mother. When they made it to his room, Misa carefully rested David on the bed.
"You need some rest. I fixed all I could and let's hope you still have your healing powers."
"Why would I still have my healing powers?" David slurred as he turned over. "Look how messed up I am."
"You're like this because you fought them without your spider-sense, right?"
Huh, I never thought of that. I did receive more injuries than usual but only because I lacked my spider-sense, not my healing factor. Mom is smarter than she looks.
"Yeah."
"Sleep, rest."
"Okay... okay..."
David closed his eyes and allowed sleep to overcome him. Misa leaned over and kissed her son on the temple before leaving.
"There you are."
The symbiote approached David's apartment building and looked up to the floor he was upon.
"Goodbye, Matthew, can't say that I'll miss you."
The black goo jumped off of Matt's body and onto the wall. The vlogger lost his balance and staggered back before he tripped over a garbage can and fell down. He lifted his head up before he fell down on the sidewalk, unconscious.
The black goo scaled the side of the building and crawled all the way up to David's bedroom window. When it reached the window, he slid through the cracks and crawled down the wall. It was reunited with the goo that hid under David's desk and now reunited as one, the black goo crawled like a spider over to David's bed.
''Hello, Spider-Man."
Hobgoblin... Hobgoblin... Hobgoblin...
The black goo climbed up David's bed and climbed up his feet.
Scorpion... Scorpion... Scorpion...
The black goo began crawling up from David's feet and up his legs.
Prowler... Prowler... Prowler...
The black goo reached the top of David's chest and became one with his costume.
Reilly... Ben Reilly... Scarlet Spider...
The black spider on David's costume turned a white color.
Morales... Miles Morales... Spider-Miles...
The rest of the black goo covered David's face as his eyes opened with pure anger.
I'll kill you, I will kill you slowly and painfully, every single one of you. I WILL FUCKING MASSACRE YOU ALL!
