Lizzie's POV

I can't believe we actually made it...we were finally free and off the Isle of the Lost, there was a magical barrier between me and my mother and she can never reach me again, she can't change her mind and come after me...I can finally be free to live my life without fear, without her shadow casting it's effect on my life...I was free.

"Hey guys, we're just coming for a...wee visit" Harry laughed as they started to walk forward only to get shoved back by Jay and Carlos and it quickly turned into a shoving match.

"Harry-" I tried to intervene as did Mal only for Carlos to shove Harry and Harry shove him which sent the two of them stumbling back into the two off us and I felt myself go flying back while Mal dropped something but my focus was on the fact I was staring at the water below from being knocked off the bridge. "HARRY!" I yelled fear locking my body but I didn't feel the water...something wrapped around my waist and I looked down at the wet slimy tentacle which had emerged from the sea and it lifted me back onto the bridge.

"Liza!" Harry said grabbing onto me as soon as my feet hit the solid surface and I sank into his arms shaking in fear as he wrapped his arms around me pressing my head into his chest almost shaking in fear himself.

"Drop something" we heard and both our eyes turned seeing Uma bobbing in the water beside the bridge and my eyes lit up at the sight of my best friend, clasped in her tentacle was the very same shiny rock that Mal had and I recognized it as Hades ember but why Mal had it was beyond me.

"It can't get wet, give it back before it goes out!" Mal yelled at her and Uma cackled.

"Uma!?" Harry, Gil and I called out excited that she was back.

"That's my name" Uma smirked waving at us before she sunk beneath the water.

"NO!" Mal yelled out as a tornado of water rose into a ball before breaking and Harry shielded me from the water figuring I'd already had my water scare today, when it was gone we all looked over the side for any sign of Uma.

"Hi guys" we heard behind us and spun seeing Uma standing behind us on two legs again and in a much more fashionable outfit if I must say and we laughed heading over to her.

"Welcome back!" Harry cheered being the first to reach her and she hooked her finger around his hook before I moved in, the two of us sharing a quick hug before letting go.

"Uma, you swam off and forgot all about us" Gil said and I frowned since while that had been a tiny bit true she was here now when we really needed her and she probably couldn't have gotten back to us even if she wanted to with the barrier keeping her out.

"Yeah planning her revenge no doubt" Mal spat bitterly.

"It's not all about you Mal" Uma argued and I scoffed since when did Mal ever believe that. "I was looking for a hole in the barrier to let everybody out and you know what I found, guys?" she added turning towards us with the last bit. "It's way better out there than we thought, there's this thing that looks like a furry rock called a coconut and fish so big you could dance on their backs and they've been keeping it all to themselves" Harry tutted shaking his finger at them and I smirked at him out of the corner of my eyes.

"Whatever" Mal spat bitterly again. "Uma I need that to break a spell" she added holding her hands out for the ember.

"Cast by Audrey, Sleeping Beauty's daughter" Carlos added explaining the reason and my eyes widened a little before a smirk came back.

"So the good guy is the bad guy?" I asked being a bit bitter myself since that just proved that evil can come from anywhere and not just villains and us spawns of them, Uma laughed at my statement.

"Well I might not give it back, let's see what happens"

"Uma it's not the time for games!" Mal exclaimed still holding her hand out like she really expected Uma to give it back. "Peoples lives are in danger" she pointed towards Auradon.

"Guarantee me that every single villain kid who wants to can get off the Isle" Uma said giving her an ultimatum.

"I can't do that" Mal protested, Uma clicked her tongue repeating her words as she moved to the side of the bridge and held the ember over the side threatening to drop it.

"Well how bout now?" she asked her.

"Deal, deal!" Mal quickly changed her tune but Uma still pretended to drop it.

"Uma!" Evie yelled out but Uma just laughed at their frantic pleas. "Her word is good" Evie told us but I scoffed since we'll have to actually see it to believe it, Uma contemplated it stepping away from the edge towards Mal.

"I'll still keep this for the time being" she smirked stashing the ember in her jacket away from Mal who bitterly crossed her arms and glared at her. "Because if you think I trust you to save the world on your own...think again" I smirked at Mal as we stepped up backing Uma. "This is a job for pirates!" she stated turning back to us and we slapped hands agreeing with her.

"We can always go back to hating each other when this is over" we heard Jay whisper towards Mal and I scoffed again since we'll never stop hating each other.

"Fine" Mal finally said realizing she had no leg to stand on without us.

"Where are our bikes?!" Jay demanded looking at Harry, Gil and I, we smirked at the fond memory of those things especially throwing them over into the ravine.

"Oh yeah, we crashed them" Gil told him and Harry laughed mimicking driving them over the edge then whistled before making an explosion sound and I laughed at Jay's glare.

"Look at his face!" Harry laughed turning to me and Gil as we joined him in his glee.

"Here's a thought, we could try to be friends" Evie suddenly suggested and we turned to her with raised eyebrows since she honestly couldn't be serious. "Put our history aside and celebrate our differences...yeah?" I couldn't tell if she was honestly being serious but knowing Evie she was deadly serious. "Who wants gum?" she asked pulling out a bag of something from her sleeve.

"Let's go" Uma announced ignoring her.

"Ah!" Mal quickly said holding up a finger. "No, I'm in charge" she stated and I frowned. "Let's go" added saying exactly the same thing making me roll my eyes but we all walked forward anyway crossing the bridge as it formed beneath us and I found myself holding onto Harry's hand as this was nerve racking especially as it also disappeared behind us so it was literally a floating magical square under our feet that could just disappear and send us into the ocean.

"Hands going numb princess" Harry whispered leaning towards me and I quickly let up on my grip muttering an apology before I turned to Uma.

"Thanks for saving me earlier" I told her.

"Figured you still hadn't learnt to swim" she smirked back at me and I rolled my eyes since only her and Harry knew that but thank god she did since falling over the dock was one thing, falling into deep water was different. "By the way, what's with that?" she asked pointing down at Harry and my hands held between us.

"Oh yeah...their dating" Gil announced quite loudly before either Harry or I could and everyone's head turned towards us.

"Thanks for that Gil" I glared at him and for the traitors sake since luckily for them none of them commented on it and continued to walk.

"When did that happen?" Uma asked as we trailed behind a few steps.

"It's...complicated" Harry replied after we shared a look.

"Let's just say a lot's happened since you've been gone and after we get rid of this Audrey we'll fill you in" what I said was true, a lot had happened in her absence and I wasn't exactly ready to tell her about my mother kidnapping me, my nightmares or the fact that our crew was basically nonexistent all because of my inability to lead them on my own.

"I'll hold you to that" she nodded before we continued to follow the traitors taking our first steps into Auradon and it wasn't at all like I imagined it would feel since there was no one in sight and the place felt as gloomy and desolate as the Isle especially when we followed the traitors towards a large castle and found nearly everyone was in some kind of sleeping curse but Harry, Gil and I were more focused on how everything looked so different...the ground was green...the sky was blue and there wasn't a cloud in sight.

"They're asleep...everyone" Evie pointed out the obvious like we couldn't see or hear the people snoring all slumped in their chairs.

"I can't get Ben" Mal said lowering a device from her ear...phone?.

"Or Dizzy, or Doug" Evie nodded seconding her observation that whatever they were using clearly wasn't working to reach these people.

"Or Jane, the signals out" Carlos added and I raised an eye, not knowing who the last two people Evie and Carlos had mentioned which told me there were Auradon kids.

"Is that Auradon Prep?" Celia asked pointing to the castle behind us.

"Yeah and when everybody wakes you're gonna love it" Carlos replied nodding at her and I found myself looking at the building finding myself wondering what it've been like to actually go there but quickly shook the thoughts off since who cared, I was not here to think about school...we had real business to do here.

"Yes!" Celia said making me smile since I was happy for her despite it being like this since a lot of kids back on the Isle actually deserved a proper education and a chance to have some of the good life.

"Everything is so..." Gil began to say and I turned seeing him looking around at the trees in wonder.

"Freaky" Jay said cutting him off.

"Green" Gil corrected what he was gonna say and I frowned looking around agreeing with him, it certainly was strange seeing actual leaves on the trees and bushes. "You have leaves on your trees" Gil said seemingly reading my mind talking to Jay. "And what are those colored things on the bushes?" he asked pointing at a bush nearby and I smiled at the bright purple flowers, only having seen real flowers in books.

"Uh...flowers?" Jay asked looking confused by the question like he didn't believe Gil was being serious and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Flowers are pretty" Gil nodded making my smile widen. "Cantaloupe!" he exclaimed moving towards a bowl of fruit and I glared at Jay when he moved to stop him but hesitated and I walked towards him.

"We don't have any fresh fruit on the Isle...remember?" I spat at him since he clearly was too used to this life that he forgot what it was like for us, I turned and walked away from him to find where Harry had wandered off to but stopped when something caught my eye, I moved towards a bush wondering if I was actually seeing it and it wasn't a hallucination.

"Roses" Evie said seemingly have seen me walk over to them and followed smiling at me, I frowned at her and moved away since I wasn't here to bond over them showing us everything we didn't have no matter how personal seeing an actual rose for the first time was to me seeing as they were my mothers favorite.

"I believe I deserve some compensation for my muscles, my wile and my role in this endeavor" I heard Harry say and saw him taking cash out of a sleeping kids wallet and I smiled but it quickly fell when Jay walked over and snatched the money out of his hands.

"You do, me not squashing you like a bug" he said glaring at Harry returning it to the kids pocket.

"Think I'm scared of you Jay?" Harry asked threatening him with his hook.

"Guys!" Uma and Mal both called out stopping them before a fight broke out and knowing Harry and Jay that was a definite possibility, Jay marched off angrily and I rolled my eyes walking over and was a bit more discreet taking the money again and split it stuffing half into Harry's pocket while leaning in looking like I was going to kiss him.

"You get further by being discreet" I smirked at him seeing him smirk back knowing what I just did before I kissed his cheek walking off.

"Dude!" Carlos called out walking over to the dog they'd used to fool us in our last battle.

"Delicious" it said then burped...they had actual talking dogs.

"Dude really?" Carlos scolded it.

"What, it wasn't me I swear" the dog argued. "Okay it was me" I scoffed since even the dogs were goody two shoed.

"Hey do you know what happened here?" Carlos asked it, judging by the voice it was a male dog.

"Yup, Audrey showed up she put everybody to sleep and then some she turned to-"

"Guys!" Evie called out cutting the dog off and we turned towards her. "Hannah's turned to stone" she said looking at what looked like a stone statue, a very detailed one and judging by her calling it Hannah meant it was an actual person cursed, we walked over and inspected it closer.

"Alright everybody stay on your toes" Jay cautioned.

"Look since we're here let's check the school" Uma suggested and we started heading towards the building only for Mal to call us to stop.

"Audrey went straight for the crown so I think it's safe to assume that she's gonna go for Ben and his castle next" she argued and I rolled my eyes crossing my arms since she just always had to have it her way. "That's where we'll go" she nodded leaving the sentence with no room for discussion.

"Says who?" I snapped at her since she had no right to tell us what to do.

"Says me" she stated stepping up towards me with a stare as if that was supposed to intimidate me.

"Says you and that's supposed to mean something to us?" I questioned her since she wasn't queen yet and even then she would never be the boss of me or the others.

"Guys" Evie spoke up and Mal turned to her, I looked back at Uma and she just shook her head telling me it wasn't worth it to argue.

"To the castle" Mal announced angering me that she thought she won, Harry came up behind me when I hesitated to follow as everyone started to move and shook his head clearly agreeing with me but everyone was going so we begrudgingly followed trailing the at the back but before we caught up with the others he pulled me to a stop and bent out picking one of the roses off the bush...a white one and smiled reaching up brushing my hair away and placed it my hair.

"Sap" I joked but smiled at the gesture, I liked the white roses better than the red ones since they were more pretty...more innocent looking.

"Just for yeh" he smiled before we quickly caught up with the others and Uma shook her head when she realised why we'd stopped.

"What?" I asked her.

"You two are so gross with all the doe eyes and loving gestures" she replied slowly smiling. "But by the way I so called it" I blushed since she had called it all that time ago on the ship after Harry and I bonded over unfurling the sails in our quest for her mothers shell necklace.

"Shut up" I told her bumping into her as we shared a laugh as she smiled and i knew from that look that she was happy that Harry and I finally figured ourselves out and I appreciated Uma's support since very rarely was one happy to appear weak but with Harry and I it never mattered especially with Uma as she'd always joked and told me to go for it, it just happened when she was gone.
