Lizzie's POV

I don't know when I eventually fell asleep last night but I woke up groggily so I knew I probably hadn't been asleep long enough for to to have been a very restful sleep...that and the lack of Harry probably contributed to my non-happy mood when I got out of the bed still dressed in the pure white dress I'd been given last night as I slipped my feet back into the matching heels and walked out of room remembering the path back to the kitchen figuring I should eat something as I barely touched the food last night and I felt my stomach growling but just as I was about to enter my eyes widened and I ducked as a teacup flew at my head and smashed against the wall before I heard three sets of laughter.

"What the hell?" I asked turning back to where the cup had come from and saw a brown hare, a small mouse and man who were all laughing maddeningly.

"Sorry...sorry" the man apologized and ran up to me quickly shaking my hand a little too roughly.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Jefferson's the name, I'm a man who sees much and I know you...I'd know you anywhere" he smiled and I raised an eye at him before my eyes drifted towards the table which was set up like a tea party and there I saw amongst the tea pots, sugar dishes and tea cups was a large top hat.

"You're the Mad Hatter?" I asked and he bowed.

"Please to meet you our naughtiness...oop that's not right" he replied and I yanked my hand away realizing he was still holding it. "You must, you must join us for tea!" he didn't let me argue as he started to drag me over to the table and pushed me to sit down as I watched them all laugh before the march hare focused on a broken tea cup.

"Cup" he and the Door Mouse laughed again making me raise an eyebrow again, they were all mad...I've only heard stories from my mother but to see them all in person really made myself seem almost sane.

"You said you know me?" I questioned looking at the mad hatter.

"Of course I do, everyone in Underland knows you" he replied but it didn't really answer what I wanted to know.

"They know who my mother is, that doesn't mean they or you know who I am" I argued frowning but saw a couple of sugar cubes coming flying towards me and I instinctively grabbed my cup and held it up to avoid them hitting my face and they landed in the cup almost like the Hare had planned it and they all laughed and once I found myself smiling myself since that was kind of cool.

"Your Ilizabeth, the princess"

"I'm not a princess" I argued crossing my arms glaring at him and he stared back before I saw a sudden change in him.

"All together now!" I leant back a little surprised by the change of behavior as they began to sing. "Twinkle, twinkle little bat...how I wonder where you're at...up a-"

"Your all mad!" I exclaimed since this was nuts.

"Well thanks very much" the hare said as they all laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Up above the world you fly like a tea tree in the sky...twinkle, twinkle, twinkle-"

"Hello" I looked up as my Aunt walked into the room and for once I was actually glad to see her. "I see you've met everyone"

"I...guess so" I replied looking around the table at them all.

"Jefferson have you been treating our guest kindly"

"Of course your majesty" Jefferson smiled and winked at me which made me smile for some reason.

"Would you like some cream?" the Hare asked holding up a cup and I rolled my eyes since I hadn't even been offered any tea yet to have cream. "Would you like a slice of Battenburg?"

"Sugar?" the Door Mouse asked.

"Yes please" the Hare replied and just like he had done with me she threw a couple at him and they landed in his cup.

"Oh that's lovely" I found myself smiling again as I shook my head at the behavior.

"Have you offered Lizzie any tea?" my Aunt said and they all looked at me.

"Uh...sure" I replied feeling a little awkward before Jefferson handed me a teapot and I could feel that it was empty but instead of saying anything I just pretended since what the hell they were kind of hilarious to be around and if a fake tea party could make me smile then I'll take it while my other source of happiness wasn't around.

"Pass the scones please?" the Door Mouse asked me and I saw they were next to me so I picked a couple up and tossed them towards her and this time we all laughed and I even saw my Aunt smiling at the interaction before I settled down.

"Is there...any news?" I asked looking at her.

"None right now, I'm sorry" she replied and I frowned.

"Cheer up" the Door Mouse said.

"Mallymkun is right my dear" my Aunt replied and I turned to the Door Mouse.

"Mallymkun?"

"You can call me Mally" she bowed and I smiled at her since it was quite cute to be honest but something told me if I said that to her she wouldn't appreciate it especially with the small needle I saw attached to her side like a sword which made me smile.

"Lizzie, could I show you something?" my Aunt suddenly asks and I look up at her confused before I nodded and left the kitchen with her ducking at the last second as I hear the Hare laughing when the tea cup smashed against the door once again seeing my Aunt smiling as I laughed but I couldn't help it, I found the trio of lunatics hilarious.

"So what is it you want to show me?" I questioned as I followed her.

"I know you think that I don't care about you, that I did nothing while you were trapped on the Isle of the Lost but that isn't the case my sweet niece" I frowned unsure how to reply to that since that wasn't what I've seen from her. "My sister didn't truly deserve to be banished"

"Yeah right, you'd banished her before"

"And that was wrong" she cut me off making me raise my eyes towards her. "Just as it was wrong that you'd been forced to be born and grow up there"

"Look...I don't need you to apologize or whatever this is, I just want to get back to my family" I replied and saw her slightly pause as I said family but I didn't care since as far as I was concerned she was nothing to me, I had a family...one that I've chosen and that means more to me than the people that I share blood with.

"I just thought you should know that although my sister was banished there, and your father for being her most loyal of guards...I cared for both of them and when the news had reached Underland that you'd been born I had tried everything in my power to get the three of you out, to return to Underland but the King forbade it..."

"You didn't fight harder, everyone just stood back and let King Beast do that to all the villains, we've all heard the stories about the great villain round up 23 years ago...your not telling me anything I don't already know" I argued crossing my arms as I stopped following her.

"I tried Ilizabeth, petitioned so many times that even you be released into my care-"

"You never thought to overthrow Beast, you're a queen...you couldve gone to war" I spat angrily.

"That is against my vows, I vowed very long ago that I couldn't harm a living thing and to organize a war would break that vow" she replied and I rolled my eyes but sighed since I don't even know why I was arguing.

"None of this matters anyway, the hand I was given lead me to the best things in my life...I don't blame you, I don't blame my mother...I don't even hold an ill towards Auradon or the former rulers anymore, vengeance isn't worth losing everything and everyone that I love which is why I have to get back to Harry because if I don't then I'm at risk..."

"At risk of what?" she pressed when I trailed off.

"At risk of falling into darkness...of becoming the worst parts of myself that I have to try every day to suppress otherwise...I'll go mad...madder than that trio in their combined" I frowned looking down at my feet.

"I don't believe that, you are good Ilizabeth...I can see a good soul inside you and kindness in your heart"

"I know that but it doesn't mean I'm immune to the darkness one can so easily befall into, you have no idea what it was like on the island...what we all had to do to survive and that...that is a villain kids curse" I replied and she said nothing only nodded agreeing with me. "So what is it you wanted to show me?" I changed the subject after a few silent seconds.

"Come" she smiled and lead me into what looked like a vault and one of the two guards which stood guard over it opened the door with an old fashioned lock and as the door swung open my eyes widened when I saw the fortune of coins, jewels and riches...the pirate in me taking over as I stared longingly at it all.

"Your kingdoms rich" I pointed out following her inside itching to touch but I refrained reminding myself that it was not mine, I wasn't evil...I wasn't bad...well not entirely to steal from my Aunt. "So what-" I stopped when she did and saw a glass case and inside was a tiara with red jewels, the center piece being cut into a shape of a heart.

"It is yours" she smiled at me and I turned to her confused.

"Mine?"

"When I heard of your arrival, I had it made in hopes that this day might come to pass...the day that you would find yourself in Underland and I could crown you princess of this land" my eyes widened since my mother calling me a princess was one thing, Harry calling me princess...a loving thing but to hear the words come from my Aunt who was the queen and the words 'princess' and 'crown' in the same sentence was an entirely new and scary thing.

"I...I can't" I shook my head and started backing away from the case and her.

"I know you must be scared of this Ilizabeth but you are the rightful heir to Underland's throne"

"No...I can't be, chose someone else!"

"It doesn't work that way sweetheart" I frowned.

"Look I can't be a real princess and I definitely can never be a queen...you don't understand-" this was everyone of my fears, my fear that I could...would become my mother especially with the things I'd just thought about when I saw the royal treasure.

"I do, your afraid but you don't have to be"

"No!" I turned on my heels and ran out of the room finding my way out of the castle and ran into the garden feeling like I was hyperventilating. "No, no, no I can't...I can't...oh god...Harry where are you...I need you!" I held my chest as I sank to my knees.

Harry's POV

I ran my hands over my face letting out a frustrated sigh as I was currently sitting in a room surrounded by the King, the new crowned Queen and me family while they all argued and talked about the fact that Liza has gone missing and no one...not one person can tell me where the hell she'd gone to she'd just vanished.

I had been away for her for no more than 20 minutes before she disappeared, she'd snuck away from the wedding probably to need air since I knew huge gatherings weren't exactly comfortable for her but she never came back and when I went looking for her, I'd heard her scream my name but hadn't seen her...only found the aftermath of painted roses.

"It has to be her mother!" Uma yelled arguing with the King who was adamant that her mother wasn't behind this since that had been the first place we'd gone to after I raised the alarm that Lizzie was missing but she denied it and had even allowed us to search the mansion which we'd come up empty.

"We already looked, there's no sign-"

"No sign, how do you explain the paint and the roses!" Harriet argued, it was pirates vs the court right now and I was just getting a headache from all the raised voices and the long night having not slept as I had been out searching all night before we meet up here this morning.

"Harry?" I looked up when I heard my name and over at the King. "You know her better than anyone, is there anyone else who'd do this?" he asked and I frowned hesitating as I shared a look with my sisters, Uma and my father who were all on our side of this since there was only one other person that had kidnapped Lizzie but it wasn't my story to tell.

"Son, I'm sure she'll understand" Dad nodded at me and I sighed rubbing my hand over my face again.

"Ace" I responded.

"Her mother's head guard?" Jay questioned and I was surprised he remembered those kind of things but nearly every VK had undoubtedly attempted to steal from the Queen of Hearts mansion as she was one of the more wealthier of villains on the Isle and often than not you were chased off by her minions and faced the punishment that Ace would deliver...that's actually how I first met Liza.

"He's Lizzie's father" I replied and watched their eyes all widen...well aside from Uma and my family who already knew that.

"Well he's no god of the underworld but that's...shocking" Jay replied and Mal rolled her eyes at the reminder of her dropping the bombshell of her father's identity.

"How can we find him?" Ben asked and I frowned since he hasn't been seen since him and Liza argued that day at the Chip Shoppe but they were all looking at me like I would know.

"I haven't a clue" I shrugged and they all hung their heads.

"Alright, I'll send guards to the Isle to find him" Ben nodded and I went back to dazing off as I let myself worry about her since I had no idea where she is, if she's safe and how she'll cope without me to pull back the madness.

'I'll find you Liza' I thought to myself as Ben disbanded the meeting and we all left the room in his castle heading back to the Jolly Rodger, we mostly all split off with my sisters and Dad heading down to the hull to most likely get some sleep but I stayed above deck moving to the stern and stared out at the ocean to calm me down.

"Were going to find her Harry" I didn't turn as Uma came up and leant next to me.

"In what state is what worries me, she's still been having nightmares and I know she hides things from me still" I replied telling her my fears since Uma was my best friend...aside from Lizzie.

"She'll be okay, she's stronger than you think" she laid her hand on my shoulder and I sighed nodding my head before she let go and walked away down to her own room no doubt while I continued to look out at the ocean towards the Isle vowing that if her father or mother has done anything to her than they're gonna wish they were dead by the time I was finished with them.

I sighed casting one last look out at our former home before I went down to me room and decided to try and get some sleep since torturing myself and running myself on fumes wasn't going to find Lizzie any faster.

I was moving my way through the never ending maze that surrounded the Queen of Hearts mansion trying to find the pattern that would get me to the house where there is rumored to be the queens own crown, more valuable than Cruella's fur coats or Jafar's coins but no one has been able to get past the guards and maze...I was going to be the first.

"Hey you!" I heard one of the guards the patrolled the maze call out and my eyes widened as I began to run quickly getting lost amongst the thorn bushes hearing they're footsteps getting closer as they knew this maze better than I did and just as I felt I was a goner I felt a small hand wrap around my wrist as a blur ran past me holding onto me and dragging me along.

"Who are you?" I asked the person noticing it was a girl.

"Shh they'll hear you" she argued just above a whisper as she effortlessly twisted and twined through the maze and I found myself back at the gate that would lead me back to the Isle.

"I suppose I owe yeh a thanks" I smiled at the girl, who looked about my age.

"You can thank me by staying away, I won't save you again" she replied and I raised an arched eyebrow towards since that wasn't very honorable of her, I'd been polite in thanking her she could at least except it since I don't thank people very often.

"Come now love, no need to be rude I was only-"

"I know what you were doing, you think you're the first to try and solve the maze to get to my mother's throne or her fake crown" I raised an eye again. "That's right, it's not her real crown, that was taken when she was banished so give it up and stay away...for your own good trust me" she turned and started walking back into the maze.

"Wait, what's you name?" I asked her and she stopped turning to me.

"Ilizabeth but everyone calls me Lizzie" she replied and I smiled since it definitely suited her and her full name certainly was unique...just like her, I couldn't help thinking.

"I'm-"

"I know who you are" she cut me off. "You're better off staying away Harry Hook" she added before she ran back in the maze and disappeared leaving me to stare at the spot she disappeared and smile since she was something else.

I shot awake startling myself out of the dream...memory since very rarely did I dream much, well at least that I can remember but that day...I hadn't really thought about that day until today so it was weird that I would dream about it.

I had seen Lizzie around the island a few times of course since the Isle wasn't that big and I remembered seeing her with Mal and Uma a lot as they liked to hang around the docks and prank me Dad's crew and anyone that was on the docks but it wasn't until that day that I actually had given the daughter of the queen of hearts much thought, we were just shy of eleven years old back then and it had been the beginning of what become of our relationship today especially when Mal turned on Uma which brought Uma, Lizzie and I together to be the new trio that began terrorizing our side of the Isle before we won the ship and became a crew.

It was all so strange to think about, everything that we've been through together that brought us closer but I believe that it was that first day that she saved me from her mother's men that I saw her, that I knew she'd always be a huge part of my life because from that day forward I'd always wanted to be around her which had resulted in the teasing, the flirting...a crush which developed over the years of our 'friendship' if you could call it that back then up until I finally realized that I was in love with her, the moment in that cave where we promised to keep each other's secrets I knew I was in love her.
