Chapter 1: Celebrating Coyote Starrk's & Lilynette Gingerbuck's Birthday
Coyote and Lilynette have been out and about all day. They both ended up bumping into Izaya and his husband Keigo at the mall. The four had been shopping, looking at clothes, had lunch, and they're now relaxing at the park as they drank their hot cocoa.
"I'm so tired. But once I get home I'll be forced to eat some cake, which'll make me even more tired." Starrk said as he yawned.
"Are we having a party? I mean I don't mind but- I don't really know what I want for my birthday." Lilynette said as she pouted.
"You got ten bags, I think that says something, Lilynette.~" Izaya said as he chuckled.
"Awww, then I agree then. Oh Izaya, me and Starrk always watch your's and your husband's wedding. It's so damn good to watch." Lilynette said.
"Aww, why thank you. Everyone's been telling us that it brought tears into their eyes." Keigo said as he chuckled.
"Well yeah! You two are adorable and we love happiness. Don't we Starrk?" Lilynette asked as she playfully nudged him awake.
"Yeah, I do agree. Anything else we can do?" Starrk asked as he yawned again.
"I woke him up early so we can go shopping. Hehehe." Lilynette said as she giggled.
"Maybe we can sneak you two back home, that way they can celebrate your party once you two get your nap out." Keigo suggested as he stood up with his husband.
"Great idea! Starrk come in. Then I'll leave you alone. I promise." Lilynette said as she gave him a thumbs up and a huge smile.
"Yeah yeah, that's what you always say, then you'll wake me up again." Starrk said as he yawned again.
Keigo, Izaya, and Lilynette all laughed again as they headed back home.
When they arrived back to their place Starrk unlocked the door as he let Keigo and Izaya in first as Lilynette and Starrk headed to the back to get in.
Izaya and Keigo stepped in as they turned on the lights. The whole place was barely decorated with party supplies. Izaya and Keigo looked at each other as they nodded.
"Let's fix their party up a bit. I'm sure they won't mind." Izaya said.
"I agree, love. Let's do it." Keigo said.
The two closed and locked the door as they began decorating for Starrk's and Lilynette's birthday party.
Starrk climbed through the window as he plopped onto his bed and yawned again. Lilynette plopped down as she missed Starrk.
"Have a good nap, Starrk." Lilynette said to her friend.
Starrk had his wrist over his eyes as he snored.
Lilynette smiled as she kissed his cheek and she walked out, closing the door back heading to her room.
She saw two shadows in the kitchen as she gasped. She stayed quiet as she tiptoed to her room as she quietly closed the door.
Izaya and Keigo were almost done decorating for their party as they got everything all hung up.
"Whew, we sure did it again, love. Should we go get them?" Keigo asked.
"Nah, let's let them sleep for a while, Starrk is very tired." Izaya said as he smiled at his husband.
Keigo smiled back as he held onto his hand.
"Anything you wanna do, hon?" Keigo asked.
Izaya looked around, making sure there's no one else in the house but them. He then looked back at his husband as he passionately kissed him and the two ended up on the couch.
Keigo moaned into the kiss as he rubbed Izaya's back up and down as Izaya began grinding on him.
"W-We can't…..this isn't our place….~" Keigo said as he panted.
"True, if we keep going then we're going to get in trouble. Possibly our heads chopped off by Nnoitra." Izaya said as he laughed a bit.
Keigo also laughed with his husband as he continued kissing him.
Then they heard a loud bark. The two arm hairs stood up as they both looked at each other with fear in their eyes. Then the bark was heard again.
Izaya looked down and saw it was Kukkapuro. The Arracancar's pet dog.
"Hey Kukkapuro! I remember you.~" Izaya said as he got off his husband and gave Kukkapuro some kisses and hugs.
Kukkapuro wagged his tail as he barked happily again.
"Babe, is he a hollow dog?" Keigo asked.
"He is. His owner was an asshole to him though. But I'm glad they took him in so they can give him proper care and love for him." Izaya explained.
Kukkapuro licked Izaya's face and Keigo's hand.
The two men laughed.
"Are you hungry, boy?" Izaya asked.
Kukkapuro barked again as he went to grab his empty bowl.
"Whoa. He is honey. Want to feed him?" Keigo asked.
"Yeah, let's make the little pooch happy.~" Izaya said as he grabbed the food bowl from Kukkapuro and the two headed back to the kitchen to get it ready.
Kukkapuro then whimpered as he barked again.
Keigo turned around as he looked at him. Kukkapuro headed to the slide door as he scratched on it.
"Oh? You want to go potty?" Keigo asked the dog.
Kukkapuro barked happily as Keigo unlocked the door and let him out.
Kukkapuro ran out to do his business. Keigo smiled at him and he looked back at his husband.
Izaya had the food in the microwave as he smiled back at Keigo.
"You know, I can tell we're going to be great pet parents." Izaya said.
"I believe it, honey. How many pets do you want?" Keigo asked.
Izaya looked at the ceiling to think, then the microwave went off as Izaya turned around to get it out and stir up the wet dog food with the dry dog food.
Keigo then noticed that Kukkapuro was all done doing his business as he let him back inside. Keigo then closed the door and locked it back as Izaya sat the bowl down as Kukkapuro began to eat.
Keigo then noticed the water bowl was nearly half empty. He picked it up as he gave the dog from freshwater.
"Not sure, but let's get maybe about two and see how we do." Izaya said to his husband.
"Alright love." Keigo said.
The two stared at each other again as they both locked their lips again. Then the front door began to unlock as the two stopped and stared at it.
"Who is it?" Izaya called out.
"Izaya? Is that you? Can you let us in?" Mila Rose said.
Izaya ran to the front door as he unlocked it.
"Hey guys! Welcome back." Izaya greeted them.
Everyone walked in.
"How'd you two got in?" Szayel asked.
"Starrk had an extra key, remember?" Izaya replied to Szayel.
"Oh right, and thanks for redecorating for their party. We just got back from shopping for their birthday.~" Szayel said.
"Yeah, where are they?" Loly asked.
"And thanks for feeding the dog. Did y'all let him out too?" Apacci asked.
"Yes we did." Keigo replied.
"Also they're sleeping. Maybe we should wait another hour or so." Izaya said.
"Aww, okay.~ Let's wrap up their gifts, everybody." Szayel said.
Everyone did so. Izaya and Keigo distanced themselves from them as they both looked at each other.
"Do you think the dog will say something to them~?" Keigo asked as he chuckled.
"I hope not.~ Do you still wanna continue~?" Izaya asked.
Keigo locked his lips again as they heard the door open.
They both looked at the door as they stepped back. Starrk came out of the room as he yawned.
"Hey guys, any food left in the fridge?" Starrk asked as he rubbed his eyes. He was shirtless and only wearing his white sweatpants and black socks.
"There should be some leftovers from last night I may have seen. But I didn't touch it." Izaya said.
Starrk yawned again as he nodded, walking to the kitchen.
"Alright, maybe we should wait." Keigo said.
"Yeah hon, I agree. Let's-" Izaya got interrupted by Nnoitra screaming 'Happy Birthday' to Starrk.
"Starrk! There you are! Happy Birthday~!" Apacci said.
"Happy Birthday. Coyote!" Both Loly and Menoly said.
Starrk yawned again, "Huh? Oh yeah, my birthday. Thanks everyone. Any food left?"
"Oh dear.~ Let's have some cake instead.~ You'll love it. Where's Lilynette?" Szayel said as he stroked Starrk's chin, walking him to the couch.
"Either sleeping or back into her own little world. Also sugar slows your body down." Starrk said.
"Tch, again with that? Why not try it for once?" Luppi said.
"Nah." Starrk said as he yawned again.
Then Lilynette came out of her room as she walked into the kitchen.
Kukkapuro walked up to her as he sniffed her ankle.
Lilynette picked him up as she gave him kisses on his cheek.
"Lilynette! Happy Birthday!" Cirucci said.
"There you are sweetie! Come on and join us." Sung-Sun said.
Lilynette smiled as she saw the party decorations and sat next to Starrk.
Izaya and Keigo joined in as Szayel took out the cake from the fridge and sat across Starrk and Lilynette.
Tesla lit up the candles and Nel dimmed the lights. Everyone then sang "Happy Birthday" to the two very softly as Lilynette smiled at everybody and Starrk did the same, giving Izaya and Keigo a wink.
Izaya did the same back and continued to sing "happy birthday" to them.
When they were all done, Starrk and Lilynette closed their eyes as they blew out the candles.
Everyone clapped and cheered happily.
"Want to cut the cake, dear?" Szayel asked.
"Huh? Sure you can help out too. I might fall asleep on it." Starrk said.
Szayel chuckled with him as he sat next to him and helped him out.
Lilynette went to the girls to talk about her day.
Then Izaya felt some familiar spiritual pressure as he went up to the door to open it.
"Are you sure this is the place, Sosuke?" Shunsui asked.
"Yes. I've been here plenty of times. Now let's go right ahead and-" Aizen looked at the door as it was already opened.
"Izaya?! How? What?" Aizen was confused.
"Why hello Lieutenant Kuchiki, how are you?" Shunsui asked.
"I'm good. Yourself? Are you two here for their party? If so then come on in. We're just cutting up the cake." Izaya said.
"Oh goody." Aizen said.
"Hey everybody, Aizen's here!" Izaya called out.
"Ohhh goody goody! Come on in, Aizen!" Szayel squealed.
"Aizen! Come look what I got!" Lilynette called out.
Aizen chuckled, then he looked at Shunsui.
"I'll bring him back out here, Captain. Please excuse me." Aizen said.
"No worries, take your time." Shunsui said as he waited.
Aizen smiled as he walked inside. Then Izaya looked at Shunsui.
"Don't you want to come inside? It's pretty cold out." Izaya said as he held out his hand.
"Uhh, Lieutenant Kuchiki, how are they used to you? You're a soul reaper." Shunsui asked.
Izaya stepped outside and closed the door behind him.
"Me, Gin, Aizen, and Kaname put our heads together and we brought them back alive. Aizen gave him the chance to live as long as they control themselves and get their own jobs and yeah. And I pretty much talked to them and now we're besties." Izaya explained.
Shunui nodded his head, "Right and was the old man Yama okay with that?"
Izaya hid his face as he laughed, "He chewed us out but then he calmed down and said 'Fine.'" Izaya explained.
"Yep, that's our old man Yama. But that's good though." Shunsui said.
Then the door opened again as Starrk walked out as he yawned again.
"Yeah? Huh? Oh it's you." Starrk said.
Shunsui smiled and then looked at Izaya.
"My boy, mind giving us some privacy?" Shunsui asked as he smiled at Izaya.
"Yes. Of course, but I might be back out with some coats." Izaya said as he walked backwards and headed back inside.
"Hello there, you remember?" Shunsui asked.
"Yeah. Did you give me anything?" Starrk asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I actually didn't know it was your birthday till Sosuke told me. I wanted to apologize to you." Shunsui said.
"Apologize? For what?" Starrk asked he raised an eyebrow again.
"For fighting you and winning. I didn't know that you didn't want to fight. But you know, y'all were brainwashed by Sosuke." Shunsui said.
"Oh that. It's okay. I already forgive you. I'm over it. I've been sleeping more often to forget about things." Starrk said.
"Is that so? Don't you work?" Shunsui asked.
"I do. Lilynette is in college, wanting to be an animal vet." Starrk explained.
"Oh! Well that's wonderful. Congrats to her." Shunsui said.
"Thanks. Anyways, anything else?" Starrk asked.
"That'll be all." Shunsui said.
"Alright. You're welcome to come inside and have some cake. It's big and it's coconut flavored." Starrk said.
"Don't mind if I do.~ Also are you seeing anyone~?" Shunsui asked.
"No. I'm not really into dating right now." Starrk said. He then looked at Shunsui.
"Are you?" Starrk asked.
"Why yes I am. We've been together for a really long time now." Shunsui said.
"Right. She's lucky. Congrats." Starrk said.
"Thank you, but she isn't a 'she', he's a man actually." Shunsui said.
"Huh? Well still congrats. I don't judge. That isn't me." Starrk said.
"Why thank you, dear friend." Shunsui said as the two finally headed inside to get some cake.
Aizen saved Shunsui a spot with an extra cake in his hand.
"Thank you, Sosuke. How long are we staying here?" Shunsui asked.
"Till Nnoitra screams, 'get the hell out.'!" Aizen said as he laughed.
Shunsui chuckled as he ate some cake.
Izaya put some frosting on Keigo's nose and licked it off as Keigo did the same.
Lilynette smiled at Starrk as she hugged him.
"Happy Birthday, Starrk." Lilynette said.
"Happy Birthday, Lilynette." Starrk replied back to her as he smiled and hugged her.
