AN: Ok so this isn't really a "chapter chapter" but just a small conversation between Cosmo and his father after they had to visit Wanda's sister.IDK just felt like throwing this in here.
"Sweetheart please, take a deep breath and relax for me! All this worrying and stressing out, you might hurt the baby", Linnie said softly while listening to Cosmo's crying on the other end, his heart overwhelmed with guilt and desire to comfort his son, "Please, everything's going to be ok, sweetie."
"B-but she just stood there a-a-and did nothing! How am I supposed for feel? And she's still inviting her to the wedding! I can't believe this! It's like no one cares about me anymore!"
"Oh now now...I care greatly about you."
"No you don't! You just care about the baby! Not me!", Cosmo cries, tears flowing fast, "It's always, how's the baby? Have you figured out a sitter? When are the setting the nursery up?"
"Sweetheart, I care a lot about you. Why do you think I want to help you?"
"So you can see your grandchild?"
"Well yes...but I know how overwhelming this all must be, Cosmo. See, I was pregnant with your sister when I was marrying your mother. I was mid second month, and oh my, I could not stop vomiting or crying to save my life. I-I really do want the best for you, Cosmo. It's just..I'm sorry honey. I'm just super excited about becoming a grandfather. It's been a while sense I've been able to take care of someone other than your mother and well..I need to give someone all my love and care."
"B-but...ok fine. But I'm still upset. I don't understand why she didn't at least say something to her! She knew I wasn't comfortable with her around me, and she still said we had to invite her. She didn't even talk to me about it! It's my wedding! Don't I get a say?"
"Well..yes...b-but keep in mind honey that this is Wanda's day as well. I-I just think she has the right to invite her family if she'd like. Now of course, I don't like all the comments you told me she said, and I definitely don't like her grabbing your um...well your privates. I-I really think you and Wanda need to talk about it."
"Dad, you're too nice for your own good. Ugh...I'm sorry. I'm just so stressed out and I've been feeling bloated and.."
"Sweetie sweetie, deep breaths.", Linnie instructed, hearing heavy breathing from the receiving end, "Listen, I planned on stopping by to drop some baby things off real fast, but I'm free all day. Why don't I help you out a bit with some of the wedding stuff while you talk to Wanda and unwind a bit? I figured you guys could use an extra pair of hands.."
"Oh, you don't have to. Wanda and I already got it under control."
"Well...why don't I help set up the nursery stuff? I Hm? So you guys can focus on yourselves?"
"Well..if you really wanna...you could help put the crib together. B-But you can't bring Mama. That's another problem I've been having recently. Before we went to go talk with Wanda's sister, she just busted down my apartment and complained that I wasn't "getting the house ready for her when she visited" whatever that means", Cosmo whined. Linnie rolled his eyes.
"Of course. Do you need anymore help with moving? When's the wedding again?"
"Nah. The movers are almost done and the wedding's in about a month."
"O-oh dear. During your third month? Is that really a good idea? I mean, I don't want you in pain the entire ceremony sweetheart."
"Yeah well, I don't want to have to pay the re-scheduling fee."
"O-oh alright. It's your decision dear. Just looking out for you. Alright then. I'll be over there in about 20 minutes."
