The gate opens and I'm treated to the best tight I have ever seen. Out the front of the house is the ones of class 3-E that came to break in, they weren't running anymore but the pack had them int the middle of a circle. They were laid out, tired from running. I had forgotten about them, whoops.

I get out of the ute and walk up to Itona with Haia on my heels. "How long did they last before they got caught?"

"Impressively, two hours." Itona was straight to the point as usual when around a group.

"Chiba, Rinka, you can get out of that tree if you would like to join us over here." I wave at them in their tree, they always hated how I could tell where they were positioned. They climbed out of the tree and picked their way across the grass slowly until they made it to us and jumped up to sit on the railing.

"Did you warn them of the increase in the pack?" I sat on the stairs while I unstrapped my bag from the vest and then the vest off Haia, leaving it beside me for now.

"I did but they knew Senka, so this." I couldn't see but I knew he meant the scene in front of me.

"Go get them Haia," Haia runs off to join the circle, "Senka is such a good boy, teaching those idiots they don't know you as well as they think." I give Senka a scratch and some of the treats that Haia didn't eat.

BING

I look at my phone and there are a few messages from Tokala and the email from Karasuma that Ritsu said was there.

I will call you tomorrow, dumbass fox.

I send it off before standing up and opening the fridge by the door. I pull out a beer and start throwing food on the table behind me, I pick up each bowel from the floor and spread them on the table filling each bowel with kibble, mince and steak pieces with a mix of chicken pieces as well as the odd veggies. I look over to the circle to see Terasaka was frozen as Rika drooled over his shoe.

"You might want to move if you don't want to be trampled guys." I look over to the guys on the porch, "They are serious about food." I watch as they look at each other, a little stunned at how fast Itona moved to the other side of the table I was using before following is lead. While I set down each bowel where it came from, I looked over to the circle and Rika was pulling his shoe off, Okemia was sniffing through Karmas pockets and growling when he moved, and I just couldn't take it anymore.

"All right that's enough trying to eat my friends, DINNER TIME."

I got a few laughs for that comment. The pack flew into place in front of their bowls either by way of jumping the railing, up the stairs or flinging themselves under the railing, in less than ten seconds each pack member was in front of their food. I couldn't help but smirk at their faces.

"Ithe" they chomped into their food as fast as they could, I watched fondly, I loved these guys.

"Let's leave these guys to it, come with me." I took them around the side of the house that had a fire pit and a wood storage full. "Fire pit for the pyros, go at it." It didn't take Karma long to Take the meat heads to make a fire as I was making my way to the shed to pull out chairs.

"Hey Nagisa, to your left is another few camper chair's, pull them out, will you?" I made him jump a little, I hadn't even realised he followed me until he knocked the wall with his foot.

We made it back to find the fire going full blast and handed out chairs, I sat on Karma since he refused to move out of my recliner chair. That's something that surprised everyone I think, me and karma being as close as we are. We aren't relationship material, specially not together but we are definitely close enough for people to think so. I handed him the rest of my beer and got up to grab an esky and some out of the fridge because I did not want to be getting up constantly.

I plop myself down onto Karma, leaving the esky behind me, wrapped an arm around his neck and put my head on his shoulder and just listened to everyone chatter. It was nice and peaceful, a good end to my day. There were jokes and jabs handed around like candy. Fights that ended as fast as they started and laughter loud enough to wake the dead.

"Hey Tala, do we get to know the full story about what you have been up to the last few years?" there were a few other curious murmurs around the circle. I tensed up; I saw Itona did as well. Nagisa seem quiet as did Karma for a change but I felt his arm tighten around me. I looked around at the circle, but this wasn't everyone, I force myself to relax and chuckle.

"Now now this isn't everyone and that would just be unfair, I'm only telling this story once." I smiled and poke my tongue out at Nakamura when she complains, its all-in good nature, I know that, but I just don't want to talk about it yet. I seemed to fool almost everyone except Karma and Nagisa of course but that's okay, the light atmosphere returns and the night goes on and I drink the beer, unwillingly sharing with Karma, the ass keeps stealing it.

"I need to get to bed, I have work to do tomorrow. You are all welcome to the guest rooms just stay out of the personalised rooms. Are you crashing with me or finding else where to turn in?" I turn to Karma as I pick up the drinks, waiting for an answer. He stands up and smirks, throwing his arm around my shoulder and walks with me back to the house. I elbow his ribs; I don't know why I'm so find of this idiot.

"Just keep adding fuel and it will come back to bite you mister." I lead him and his bloody smirk up to my room and leave him to get in the shower. I didn't even realise how long I had been in the shower until I spot his soaked red hair trying to pull me up off the floor. The look on his face was very not Karma, he doesn't do concerned. "You have been in here for an hour, that's long for you." My eyes widen, I didn't think it had been that long, I guess I was more lost in my head then I thought. "What is going on in that head of yours?"

I step out and hand him a towel, wrapping one around me a well. "Everything seems to have been a bit too easy, to simple, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop I guess." I answered a little uneasy. We got dressed and curled up in bed for a good cuddle session that I really needed. "Don't get me wrong, I've had a great day mostly and Kenma and Kuroo were awesome, it just seems like everyone' s reactions have been too good to be true." I sigh and curl up against Karma aka my human space heater. I never did get to hear if he said anything before, I fell asleep though.

Looking down at the girl in his arms Karma sighed, she loved to over think things but if her and Itona's reaction tonight to a simple question was that bad then maybe its warranted. What has she been up to for the last two years we were out of contact? I'm sure everything will be fine, she has us, class 3-E, she has her friends, and she has her pack, she has a massive support system and that pack of hers is scary smart.

I woke to the familiar heat of the pack and the wonderful smell of coffee. I scratched who I could reach and looked around for the coffee only to see the doors open. INVESTIGATION TIME. There is Karma sitting with two cups of coffee, I ignore him and dive on the coffee, coffee is god. I catch sigh of the time, 0530, why so early, I look over to karma for and answer.

"I couldn't get back into bed and I thought you might want coffee and a sunrise this morning. A calm sunrise." I blinked and I guess he is right for a few reasons. I hum and decide to grab my laptop, I have emails to read. First two are from Karasuma.

Kaida Tala

Your transition into Nekoma High was taken care off this morning. If there are any problems refer them to an email from Irina that was sent after her phone call this morning.

Karasuma Tadaomi

That was old news though I wish I knew that yesterday before I had to deal with the office lady. The second email was sent sometime last night.

TALA

Please write your reports and emails properly.

You have been taken off any duty for three months, at least that's the hope, you and the pack need some down time.

Karasuma

A small smile made its way onto my face, predictable but needed and appreciated. The next one was from Irina herself

Tala

I have been registered as you guardian for school purposes. Make sure I don't have to come down there for trouble. Tell those friends of yours to look after you.

Irina

That was expected after the office incident, I had to roll my eyes. I know they care, hell they pretty much adopted me after we graduated but if someone saw these emails, they wouldn't know it. I decided to send them both videos from the failed infiltration yesterday. The one straight from the security system and the one Ritsu edited, I'm sure they will enjoy seeing some of their past students running around with the pack. I closed my laptop, no more need for it this morning, pick up my coffee with both hands and hold it under my nose.

"Are you still beating Asano in school?" I was insanely curious how that was going now that everyone would be on the same campus. Karma had a grin that should not be allowed before 1000hrs, it was like the devil himself.

"Oh, I am crushing him in every subject at the moment. Still holding my study habits from Korosensie though." I love how enthused he is about that now.

"How has everyone been taking their high school years? Still in the top 100? No more troubles with people?" I fire off a few questions, Karma puts down his coffee and runs his hand through his hair.

"They have been good, the only trouble is the ones we start," he is at it again, that bloody smirk, "but mostly we have been worried about you. Itona gave regular updates when you guys talked but since no one else got to hear from you in two years, well..." he trails off, watching the sunrise.

"Tt was tough, but I pulled through, I'm fine and I'm home. That right there is all that's really important in the end." I know that he didn't buy all of that, oh he knew it was true, but I bet my last dollar that he knew there was more to the story. "Alright enough of that, you need to get dressed since you have school." After I drained my coffee, I stole his with an innocent smile so I could push him inside to get ready.

Everyone had left by the time we made it out the door and off to drop the idiot at school. We were late, very late. I pulled up to park, via a spinning turn. Karma had the biggest cockiest grin on his face as he exited the car.

"We still have questions." I had rolled down the window to say bye, but he had to open his mouth.

"I am sure you do," I smirked at him "but who said I would answer?"

He didn't get to reply because some yelled out the window.

"Akabane, your late, get up here!" his teacher was a little angry, me thinks. I stifle a laugh.

"What's the matter Teach, I'm already late, class will still be there." You could just hear the smirk in his voice.

"Yer get to class Akabane." I pull my glasses down over my eyes as I watch him with a big smile on my face, "I am sure they are having too good of a time up there without your presence."

I smirk and roll up the window, catching his eyes filled with mischief before he starts his lazy stroll into class. Driving off I call Toka back, no time like the present.

About bloody time, glad you're not dead.

"Hi Tala, nice to hear from you, how are you doing? I am well and you?" It was definitely time for some sass, I hear his irritated sigh.

Hi Tala, how are you?

"You are late you ass." I laugh as I take the turns and bends to get home.

He doesn't even take the bait making me pout, no fair.

I want to know how you managed to sleep in a gym full of strangers and noise.

I should have seen that coming a mile away.

"It wasn't in a gym, it was near the gym." I pause for a second, "It was Kenma and Kuroo. They were hard and I was tired so Kuroo, the tall bastard that he is, carried me on his back, into the gym." It didn't take long for him to start laughing, he knows I'm a sucker for piggy backs. "Kuroo got your ticket straight up though."

Oh, and what ever could you mean?

"You are an ass."

I'll have you know I'm lovable." He went quiet for a moment, "Everything with those people of yours though? No one I need to punch up yet?"

"No, not yet at least, I still have one person to go see but I might wait a little bit. Get used to school first."

Ahh I see, I'll hold on to my hope then.

"Did you hear, I've been put off for three months, hopefully." I still wasn't sure how happy I was, but I knew it was needed.

"Yer I know, we both have actually, I just have one more drop to do but then I'm home free. We are a team Tala, unless it's something small then we both get put off."

I smile softly, this guy was my rock for the last few years, my partner in crime, literally.

"You just can't stay out of trouble without me. The pack needs this though, they have been on work mode to long."

"So, have you."

I couldn't deny that at all, we hadn't had any decent time off for about six months. I can't help it, I liked being busy.

"I like being busy so shush."

I can hear you pouting, stop it, it doesn't suit the Tracker Assassin they call Shiro Kiba

"That is the stupidest name I ever heard, and it had to be one mission where I only took Okemia and he is silver not white. I mean seriously."

I know I know, anyway after this last drop we need to have a weekend with the team.

I groan, last time we did that we ended up in so much trouble because we got way to drunk and the time before that Irina had to come and bail us out of jail. I got the dressing down for that one.

"I am so not making any promises, at all, none. I'll be busy though, no doubt I'll get dragged into volleyball for the boys and then after the three months are up, I'm going back on duty." I keep throwing out excuses, but I knew he wouldn't listen.

I am hearing excuses but we both know you will join us just like every other time.

I huff, we both know he is right. "Let's leave the animals at home this time though, my pack and your Leash get on, but they can be as bad as us when we don't watch them." I remember the last time we took our respective animals with us. We had some no name team descend on us so the animals didn't get out of hand and hurt people since we decided to have a mock battle in some random park we came across. The training after it was not worth the fun we had.

You can have good ideas I see. You could so hear him shudder through the phone.

I slowly roll up to the gate, I spy the pack running out of the woods as I pull up to the house.

"Oi I always have good ideas." I pick up my phone as I turn the car off and wait for the Bluetooth to drop out. "I am going to assume I am glad I didn't hear that." Pulling up a seat on the stairs I listen to his grumbling.

You start school in a few days, don't you?

"I do, should be fun, I have Kenma in my class."

We talk for a few hours, catching up and trading jibes. We didn't even notice the time pass, we were on the phone for a few hours.

You should have a movie night or something with some friends before you start school again.

"I was just thinking that I know just the team as well. Tendou and the Shiratorizawa crew, well some of them, should be an interesting evening." I have told him all about the friends I left behind and the schools they go to. "Be safe on that last job, I don't want a call saying I need to make a trip to the hospital." We quickly said our goodbyes, he had work to do while I had a movie night to plan.

Satori, This weekend, my place, movie night. Attendance is mandatory, friends also not optional. – Tala

Now I just have to figure out how to get everyone here in one go. I don't have a car big enough for everyone and their long bloody legs. I could call Karasuma but then I would get yelled at for using government vehicles for personal use, maybe Irina, no she wouldn't leave, she would have too much fun trying to get a rise out of the boys and while that would be funny I'll save that tad bit of entertainment for Nekoma. Tokala is still on mission and I am not dealing with the rest of our group, they are a pain in the ass just because I am the youngest. I suppose I could call Itona, but he might get cranky for taking up his weekend. I could just hire a bus or van but from experience no one hires to an eighteen-year-old and if I just steal one then I'll get the full name training regimen the minuet I am back on duty from Tadaomi Karasuma with Professor Bitch laughing the whole time. I am not doing that again.

I grin, perfect idea and he won't tell Mr K because he owes me a favour.

It didn't ring more than twice.

"Brat."

"Oi that's favourite brat to you mister." It came out all serious. I missed talking to this man. "I am cashing in that favour"

"What crazy thing do you want this time?" he was reluctant, you could hear that.

"Nothing to crazy I swear, I just need a bus and a driver, even a decent van would do."

"And you can't do this because?" he was a tad suspicious.

"For once it's completely innocent, I swear, you won't get in trouble and neither will I, for a change." I swear I am not pouting.

"With you it is never completely innocent and usually gets at least me running for my life." I can so tell he isn't upset; he's being a pain.

"Okay that was only…...six times and not all my fault, your alive, aren't you?" I reply with my cheeky habits.

"It was nine plus one ended up with us spending a night in jail and they all ended up with Mr K on our asses." Well, he wasn't wrong. I let out a sigh, he has a point.

"That is so off topic old man and completely beside the point. Here, in japan, I can't rent a car on my own so how the hell will I get what I need and stay out of trouble? You tell me." I shake my head and head downstairs, back on topic people. I go outside and jump up on the railing.

"What is it you need brat?" I can hear him laughing the ass.

"I am kidnapping a volleyball team for the weekend and I don't have a big enough vehicle for all their tallness, and I can't be caught driving a rig like that because if Karasuma finds out then I am dead." I am bouncing on my toes, hoping he helps. "That is all, I swear. You don't have to stay, you can go do whatever you want or you can raid my fridge of beer but I need someone to pick them up and drop them off."

"That is actually fairly innocent…what is wrong with you?" He is acting all shocked.

"Oi I am perfectly innocent, I am offended." I hear him scoff and if you listen closely the sound of rolling eyes could be heard. "Please, please, please, I am not above begging and blowing up your phone."

"Oh, I know that's why you're a brat." He seems to mull it over for a second, "Fine but you're paying for beer and food. You only have the cheap shit with the kids around." I jump up and down.

"Thank you so much, I'll get Ritsu to send you the address and I'll send you money for the drinks and transport later, food will be bought on the day. I'm taking the boys shopping and," I miss place my foot and land on the grass, hard, "FUCKING SHIT STICKS that hurts," I breath deep a few times before going to continue but I get interrupted by loud, howling laughter, "You fell off a railing again, didn't you?" I mumbled out a few choice words.

"Back to what I was saying, I am taking the boys food shopping and I'll get whatever you want then. Your welcome." I huff, bastard, laughing at my pain.

"I'll see you tomorrow afternoon to kidnap your volleyball team." He was still laughing at me I swear.

"Thank you, so much." You could hear my smile, "Don't go too flashy with the ride either please."

"Oh, I'll try, I promise I'll try." You could hear the deviousness, guh, I am so going to regret this later.

"Thanks ass, see ya later." I hang up fast, I didn't need to hear anymore comments. I was excited, the travel was sorted, I just had rooms to make but that could wait until tomorrow because tonight is pack night. Tonight, we will play and train and eat till we are happy. We have the whole grounds to explore together and then we will puppy pile and chill outside until the sun comes up. No doubt I will fall asleep, so I just hope it doesn't rain.
