Overflow This was based loosely on a series of fanfic themes that were found in a challenge community on LiveJournal. I saw the theme, was inspired... but they really have nothing to do with that challenge community and this little drabble

Pairings: Tezuka/OC (but she's actually not important). I'm not a big fan of yaoi and I don't think I could ever write it. This is for those of you that actually want to see a non-yaoi Tezuka-fic!

"Ohayou!" Came a cheery voice over a video recorder. "Come on, Tezuka, say something!" Nanshi nudged her fiancé on the shoulder as he look stoicly to the side, refusing to acknowledge the camera. "Oh, ignore him! This is our wedding video recording, part one!" She held up one finger in excitement. "Come on! You have to say something."

Tezuka finally turned and looked square at the camera, "I don't understand why we have to have something like this."

"Memories! Good times! Laughing matters! You do want to remember our wedding day, don't you?" Nanshi giggled as she poked him playfully. She turned back to the camera. "Well, we're finally here! They day that I never thought would come has arrived!"

Tezuka grumbled something indiscernible at her side.

"We're getting married!" Nanshi squealed excitedly. "And to prove it, we're even sitting here in the first bout of our wedding clothes!" Sure enough, Tezuka was sitting on the couch in an immaculate white suit and Nanshi in a beautiful silk and chiffon wedding dress of poufy proportions.

"Why is marriage such a big deal?" Tezuka muttered, not leaving the couch, but showing that he desperately wanted to escape.

"Of course it's a big deal!" Nanshi protested. Then she added in a small voice, "you mean it's not a big deal to you?"

"Of course it's not."

"Oh."

Tezuka glanced over and saw her dejected face and took a deep breath, "Of course it is. Don't take everything I say so seriously."

"Really? Do you really mean that?"

"Yes. I really mean that."

"But you don't sound like you do."

Tezuka forced out an unnaturally bright voice, "Okay! Now do I sound like I mean it?"

"Not… really. I guess if you're not up to getting married…" Nanshi made a move to climb out of the couh, but Tezuka grabbed her wrists and pulled her gently back down. "I'm really willing to get married."

"How willing?"

"Very willing."

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

"Tell me how much then."

"...Love is like a teapot."

"Tea?"

"Shh. Let me continue. Love is like a tea pot. First you put in the leaves, that's the first spark of attraction. Then your pour the water on top, that's a progression of the intial attraction. Then the water starts to heat up… and you add more water to slow down the process of the heating up so there is more fragrance to simmer and then eventually the water overflows out… or in some cases it boils itself dry."

"Oh." Nanshi crossed her arms. "So what you're saying is that our water has all gone dry and you don't love me anymore."

"No." Tezuka said, casting a warning glare at the camera, but deciding his bride's happiness was more important, and gave her a small teasing smile. "It means that we're still adding more and more water."

"I don't understand what that means."

Tezuka pressed his forehead onto hers and dropped a small kiss on her nose. She looked so cute when she was confused. "It means that I'm still giving you more and more love and that my love will overflow forever and ever."

"…Say it again."

"…" Tezuka let out a small sigh. "It means that I'm going to keep on loving you and that I'm only going to love you more and more each day."

"Really?"

"Yes."
