The characters Darkwing Duck/ Drake Mallard and Morgana Macawber are property of Walt Disney Co.

This is a story I submitted to on DAFT (Disney Afternoon File Time) almost 10 years ago.
Dedicated to the Darkwing /Morgana shippers out there. :)

The Honeymoon

She came back to the suite, expecting Drake to be ready to go to dinner. He wasn't in the living room... Then she noticed the blue smoke floating from the bedroom. She felt a rush anticipation as she floated closer to investigate.

Morgana entered the bedroom wading through the blue mist. Then she heard a familiar voice say seductively, "I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the avian aphrodisiac that haunts your fantasies. I am--"

"Darkwing Duck?" Morgana said, stifling a giggle. Oh, this is going to be fun, she thought. "What are you doing here?"

The smoke dissipated and she could see him standing by the window. " I just wanted to wish you well."

She crossed her arms. "Oh, you didn't come all this way for that. You want something else."

He sighed. "I could never lie to you."

"You didn't come to the wedding."

"It was too much for me . You know I can't stand to see you in the arms of another man."

This was truly an Academy Award performance. They were both finding it hard to keep straight faces, but were managing somehow.

"Dark, you really should go before my husband comes back. Drake isn't going to like this."

He grinned mischievously. "Oh, I don't think he'll mind."

She returned his grin. "So, why are you here?"

"I want us to be together one last time."

She gasped dramatically. "But, Dark! That's adultery!"

Darkwing shrugged. "Everyone needs a little blotch on his record. " He sat on the bed. "I'll make this worth it."

"This is quite a moral dilema. Hmmm...What shall I do?" Morgana knotted her brow and tapped her bill in intense contemplation.

Morgana married Drake Mallard after a seven year relationship, including three break-ups in between. Gone were the days Morgana would lash out at him in a magical fury because of an insensitive or careless remark he had made. Over time together and apart, they developed a mutual understanding and acceptance of each other.

Mrs. Morgana Macawber-Mallard looked longingly at Darkwing. He was wearing the costume he wore when they first met. He'd been working out more lately and filled it out even better now. She floated across the room and embraced him, kissing him deeply. Then Morgana chuckled soflty as she removed his hat and put it on her own head.

"All right," she said, looking into his eyes. "Let's get dangerous."

He started to take off his mask. She stopped him. "Leave it on," she whispered, leaning in for another kiss. "For old time's sake."
