Chapter 6: Eclipse and Blood Pack
Time: 15 minutes after Quiver and Zaeed met Archangel
Location: 2nd floor Archangel's Penthouse
"I don't like this! Blue Suns are never this quiet!" Zaeed grumbled. Archangel nodded in agreement. "Who all was over there when y'all were coming over?" Archangel asked curiously. Quiver hummed in thought "Eclipse? Yellow guys in armor, Blood Pack? freaky looking alien guys in red armor and the Blue Suns." Quiver answered frowning as she put her binoculars down causing them to vanish in front of Zaeed and Archangel making both of them look incredulously at her. Pulling her Deadman's Tale rifle from her back she brought it up and familiarized herself with one of her babies. "I'll explain later but I have a gut feeling everything is about to go to shit." Quiver said as she pulled her mag out of the gun checking the rounds before shoving it back in and cocking the gun.
"Are… those real ballistic bullets?" Archangel stammered out questioningly. "Yeah… Let's just say I'm not originally from this universe and Cereberus happened to be nearby when I got teleported in." Quiver answered as she started tuning everything out and letting her machine processes take everything into account while her human side rationalized everything.
Sensing a coldness but machine like quality start to surround Quiver. Both Archangel and Zaeed readied their weapons making sure they wouldn't jam before taking positions around the room. Zaeed taking cover by the door to flank anyone trying to come up the stairs while Archangel took position by Quiver.
"So, I bet i'll get more kills with my sniper rifle than yours." Archangel said with a smirk in his voice. Quiver hummed machinely not even responding to his question. Her human side chuckling in amusement while her machine side ignored him. Only taking in account that he was alive and unwounded beside her as well as watching Zaeed status on her visor.
Before Archangel could challenge her again she fired her Deadman's Tale which let out a thundercrack sound as the hammer hit the bullet propelling it from the firing chamber causing fire to spurt from the vents of her rifle and the bullet to create a vortex of air as it flew straight into a Eclipse members head causing them to stand still for five seconds before crumbling to the floor dead.
"Holy Spirits!" Archangel gasped as he looked at the still machine like Quiver who didn't even register her kill so far as it was dead and wasn't getting back up. Before moving on to the next meat bag as her machine side liked to call them. Causing her human side to facepalm at what watching Shepard play Star Wars games and become fascinated with HK-47 even though it was suppose to be a joke. Thank the Traveler she didn't explain or make statements about her emotions and such.
"Answer: Oh, that is impossible, meatbag. If I were to out kill you, we would not be speaking." Said Quive's machine side which caused Quiver's human side to violently take control of her right arm and slam it hard against her helmet head.
"Okay…" Archangel said frowning at his weird ally since she didn't seem all there but then who was he to judge since he wasn't either and neither were any of Shepherd's crew members that had help take down Sovereign and Saren.
Before anymore could be said they were under gunfire from the Eclipse and their drones. Causing them to take cover and take pot shots when they could either to a drone that was shooting them or to kill the Eclipse engineers that summoned them.
Halfway through the battle though a YMIR and LOKI mechs were dropped into the battlefield causing Archangel to curse but a metallic laughter caused him to look over at her curiously as Zaeed just smirked around his cigar. "The YMIR should take care of this for us." Quiver said as she pulled away from the window and moved back to the middle of the room they were in. Before Archangel could question her he watched in awe as the YMIR turned its cannons on the Eclipse members and LOKI drones completely catching them all off guard and killing everyone on the battlefield before Quiver hit a button on her new OMNI-tool that Shepard had bought and customized for her as a welcome to the Normandy and fight against the Reapers. Causing the YMIR to explode violently killing everything around it.
"Huh, I'm kinda surprised that Jaroth didn't double check his mech for faulty code before sending it in." Archangel said looking questiongly at Quiver while Zaeed also to looked at her weirdly since all he saw her do what put her hand on the mech before walking out of the room.
"Let's just say for right now I have a way with machines and leave it at that. I'll let Shepard and her XO explain everything since I doubt y'all would believe me." Quiver answered shaking her head before they all fell to the floor in a stumble as the entire building shook from an explosion.
"Shit what was that?" Quiver asked curiously as she took Zaeed hand to get up before pulling her Thorn out and flicking the cartridge out before flicking it back in.
"Probably Garm and his Blooks Pack." Archangel said with a growl in his voice his manables twitching violently in anger. "He's a tough son a bitch. A krogan battle master that lets his bloodlust get to him more than even the craziest of krogan and it doesn't help his regeneration isn't normal either." Archangel said crossing his arms in thought as he remembered Wrex the krogan that had served with him and Shepard on the Normandy.
"Well it feels like he's trying to bring the building out from underneath us." Quiver said before looking at both Archangel and Zaeed. "So i'll go head Garm and his Blood Pack off before that happens. Zaeed guard Archangel with your life. Anything happens to him i'll kill you then bring you back to life and do it again." Quiver threaten at Zaeed causing him to glare at her challengingly. Seeing he wasn't taking her seriously she shot one of the nearby corpses with the Thorn and they watched in awe and disgust as the body literally decomposed in front of them before turning into a orb and flying at Quiver and surrounding her hand cannon. Flicking her cartridge back out she showed them it full of bullets. "That's just a fraction of what I can do so do it or else." Quiver said sternly getting an actual nod from Zaeed though he was still grimacing in disgust as the body continued to decay and fall apart before leaving nothing but a black smear on the ground. Even the armor and weapons were gone.
"Spirits, remind me to not get on her bad side." Archangel said as he watched Quiver walk out of the room before taking the elevator down to the basement to fight Garm and his Blood Pack.
