A twelve year old forest green haired, emerald eyed, Midoriya Izuku hate- disliked bullies, always had.

Ever since he was five years old and found out he would never develop powers of his own, or what the world called a "Quirk" which eighty percent of people on earth had, Izuku still wanted, 'needed' to help people, protect them!

His legs always moved on their own, that instinct got him bruised more times than he could count but eventually he stopped fighting it and embraced it wholly, knowing he would rather be on the ground than someone else.

So, whenever he saw one of his classmates was in trouble, he jumped into the line of fire and tried to help.

Yeah sure, Izuku got beat up a lot of the time and the people he helped sometimes- Ok! All the time, just ran away, abandoning him to the wolves but Izuku didn't care! He was truly helping people.

The freckled faced boy truly loved helping, enjoyed it like he imagined his all time favorite Hero; All Might, a blonde haired, muscle bound man, standing at seven foot and three inches with an all encompassing smile, must have.

Why else would he smile so wide?

That knowledge alone made him feel amazing, it gave him such an intense feeling of happiness whenever he saved a person from pain and those very few times the people he helped smiled at him in school, that happiness doubled!

NO! Tripled in intensity.

That's why he was going to save people for a living! He was going to go Pro and help people like his all time favorite Hero.

Maybe he won't ever be the strongest or most useful but as long as he helped at least one person, as long as he made one person smile, then he didn't care.

Midoriya Izuku was going to become a Hero or die trying.

Simple as that!

...

Izuku was slowly and carefully walking home after a nasty beating he received from Bakugou Katsuki or as he knew him, Kacchan; a red eyed, ash blonde, explosive boy, who had a Quirk that could secrete nitroglycerin from his palms and detonate into an explosion, almost instantaneously.

Izuku didn't understand why his old childhood friend, now turned bully, would want to go to Aldera Junior High, it was one of the worst ranked middle schools in the area! He was almost hundred percent positive that the blonde, who claimed he was the best at everything, would never pick such a low ranking school.

It was one of the reasons he applied to the school, he didn't want the risk of another three years of getting bullied, yelled at and made fun of by the person he once called a friend.

To the pale skinned boy, It hurts a lot less when you're getting insulted by strangers.

"At least today couldn't get any worse." Izuku muttered to himself, trying to rub his blood off his midnight black school uniform.

The greenette could never understand how his once best friend could bully him or some innocent classmate and then claim he wanted to be a hero.

If he didn't know the boy so well he would truly think he was more of a future villain in training than a hero in one, but despite the blonde's horrible attitude the greenette knew that Bakugou Katsuki underneath everything would become a great Hero.

Of course, just because he knew Kacchan would become an amazing Hero didn't change the fact he had a horrible attitude that the freckled middle schooler just didn't want to be around.

Izuku gently rubbed his bruised, swollen eye and tried to ignore the burning pain in his left shoulder from Kacchan using his Quirk on him.

It was in the exact same spot from two weeks ago too! How did the blonde always burn him in the same place?

He walked home, quietly thinking what Hero would be on the news today, glad the first week of school was finally over and the weekend was close upon him.

After a moment, he soon forgot about the pain in his bruised eye and shoulder and the heroes he would write about when he saw a giant, towering sharkman, who stood just two inches shorter than All Might, had his large gray, three fingered hand, swallowing an emaciated blonde's neck, his face, battered worse than Izuku's.

Izuku began shaking in terror seeing an actual villain so close and reached for his phone to call the police but as he started to dial one-one-ten, the young boy heard a loud creak and saw the emaciated blonde looking at him, his jaw almost dislocated.

Izuku felt the urge he always felt when he saw a classmate of his getting bullied and so, like the hundred times before, without resistance or self preservation, the freckled greenette ran in a dead sprint, yelling at the top of his lungs, grabbing the attention of the villainous Sharkman.

He quickly took off his backpack, remembering a crucial lesson from his years of getting beat up; always, always go for the eyes!

The greenette quickly spun in a circle, throwing his bag at the light grey shark-like man as hard as he could, who immediately caught it but Izuku didn't care as he remembered another lesson, if you can't go for the eyes, aim for the dick!

And so, the middle schooler wound up his arm and punched the villain as hard as he could in the reproductive area, causing the shark man to howl in pain, dropping the frail cobalt eyed blonde, who stood two inches taller than his attacker.

Izuku knew if he tried to actually fight the sharkman he would lose, 'badly', most likely becoming the villain's food. So he just clamped his hand around the blonde man's wrist and tried to run away but like always, whenever he tried to run, he didn't get far.

Izuku felt something painful wrap around his ankle and pull, causing him to scream in pain and fright but the freckled faced boy didn't give up, he tried kicking at the attacker who didn't like that at all.

"RAAAGHH!" Izuku wondered for a brief moment, before his sanity kicked in, why didn't the shark-like abuser brush his teeth, because dear Kami, it stunk!

"I'm going to kill you, you little green fucker!" Tears began streaming down his face wondering if this is where he was going to die but then the thought of the blonde haired man entered his mind.

"Stanger-San! THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! RUN!" Izuku yelled with what he assumed was his final breath and closed his eyes, preparing himself for his inevitable doom.

After several seconds of not dying, which confused and relieved the poor boy, Izuku's eyes snapped open, hearing booming laughter. "Young Man, You are something special!" Izuku felt a strong arm wrap around his waist before the large villain that was manhadeling him was launched across the alleyway and embedded into a wall, most likely unconscious.

He hoped.

Feeling faint, he forced his neck to turn around and saw all his suspicions come time, All Might, his favorite Hero, had saved him, so out of it he didn't notice the Hero wearing the exact same clothes as the gaunt blonde.

He passed out not even a second later, wondering how he hadn't had a heart attack yet.

...

All Midoriya Izuku saw was blackness until he felt something slap him across the face.

"AAAGGHH!" Izuku screamed in surprise and fright but was immediately calmed down by a bright presence of the Hero who inspired all his hopes and dreams.

"Oh, dear boy, you must calm yourself! You are fine, I swear! Why? Because I Am Here!" a boutrous voice that only belonged to one single person in the whole world, told him.

"All Might?! Oh my Kami, it's really you! I'm your biggest fan!" Izuku screamed in excitement causing the hero to laugh joyously.

"Well it is truly an honor to meet you, young man but may I ask..." AllMight began before he was interrupted by the green haired boy that he had saved.

"WAIT! SIR! There was a skinny man who was being beaten up, is he okay?!" Izuku asked with extreme worry, causing the greatest Hero in Japan to stop short in slight surprise.

The tanned blonde haired Hero looked at the greenette for a moment and nodded in confirmation, causing Izuku to sigh in relief.

"th..hat's good." He slightly stuttered in pure relief, All Might continued to look at the boy for a few more seconds, seeing genuine relief across his face.

"You know the other victim explained what had happened. May I ask Young man, why did you decide to intervene? Why didn't you just call the police like any other citizen would have." he asked with an incredibly serious tone, causing the new middle schooler to tense and look down for a moment, shaking under the gaze of the greatest Hero in the world.

"I was but then he lo..looked at me for a mo..moment and it fe..felt like he was com..completely okay with getting beat up and didn't expect anyone to help him. That hurt f..for some reason.. an..and before I knew it, I was running towards him." he said, trying desperately not to stutter too much in the face of his idol.

"Hmmm? May I ask, what's your Quirk?" the victory styled haired Hero asked the fanboy.

Izuku squeezed his eyes shut, willing himself to not cry. "I'm… Quirkless." he quietly told the man who looked shocked for a moment.

After several moments of silence, Izuku felt like he was going to burst. "I want to become a Hero!" he yelled at the man who took a step back, shocked at the outburst causing the boy to cringe in embarrassment.

"i..i..I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ye..yell but I wa..want to be a Hero, like you! I want to save people with a smile! Everybody says that I'm just living in a fantasy world, even my own mom doesn't believe in me… bu..but! I want to be a Hero!" The broccoli haired boy sobbed, praying that his Hero wouldn't crush his dreams, like the rest of the world.

"An..and I want you to know that despite how many obstacles life throws my way I'm going to keep fighting for my dream… be..be..because you taught me that anyone can be a Hero if they want it hard enough, so, so just wait All Might! I'm going to make you proud!" Izuki smiled brightly at the large, muscled man, continuing to wipe away the waterfall of tears cascading down pale face.

"Young man..." All Might kneeled to the eye level of the green haired boy, putting a hand on his shoulder, noticing only the slightest of winces from the greenette.

"I truly believe in my heart that you can not only become a Hero but the greatest one in the world." Izuku looked at his idol in shock and tried to hold back the avalanche of emotion but he couldn't.

He tried so hard to look cool in front of his hero but he completely broke down after the blonde haired, victory styled Hero, told him the one thing he had wanted to hear his entire life and flung himself into the tanned man's arms, who gently began to hug him.

"I find you worthy of my power, it is yours if you want it." he gently told the boy who froze in his arms.

Izuku pulled away. "Ha~" His emerald eyes held deep confusion, causing the man to chuckle lightly at the expression, accidentally coughing up some blood at the same time.

"OH MY KAMI! Are you okay All Might?!" the large man nodded at the frantic looking boy.

"Don't worry young man, I will explain at a later time but first..." he scoped the greenette into his large, bear-like arms and leapt high into the air and landed onto an incredibly tall building, which was several hundred feet away from where they originally were.

After landing he set the boy down who looked both amazed and frightened at what he just did. "I can cross that off my bucket list now." Izuku told the mighty blonde who chuckled at the comment.

"I'm glad, but first my Quirk." All Might lost his smile which caused Izuku to lose his own, bringing his full attention to the great Hero. "Many people have theorized that my Quirk is some kind of strength augmentation or extreme durability unlike anything the world has seen, I usually just dodge the question and skillfully change the topic but I'm here to tell you that their wrong." he began his explanation to the boy who was paying rapt attention.

"The world needs to believe that I was a natural born Hero but truthfully I inherited my power! My Quirk is the cultivation of the triumphant heroic spirit of a chosen individual in each generation, which is then passed onto another and multiplied, to grant it's wilder an untold wellspring of power! I am the eighth to hone this awesome power and if you accept my offer, you will be the ninth." All Might finished his explanation, waiting for the green haired boy's answer.

Izuku looked towards his idol, the man who in his eyes could do no wrong, the man who truly and utterly represents what it means to be a 'Hero'.

He was the man who looked him in the eye and told him the one thing he had always, 'always' wanted to hear.

How could he possibly say no?

"Yes." Izuku stated tears streaming down his face, making a truly horrific sight to anyone who could have been watching which got a laugh out of the larger than life Hero. "I accept your power."

"Instant answer! I like it!" The incredible tall hero exclaimed to the boy. "I did the same thing." he told the boy with his ever alluring smile, which Izuku tried to return with a varying level of success.

"First things first, we need to get that noodle of a body into 'FIGHTING SHAPE!' Do you know where Dagobah Municipal Beach is?" Izuku nodded his head in confirmation of his knowledge while All Might pinched his small arm, noticing little to no muscle.

The blonde hero began walking away from the boy, standing on the nearby ledge. "Good! Be there at, let's say... four A.M! Got it?" All Might asked the boy as he began crouching, the green haired boy nodded not even a millisecond later. "Good! See you there… what's your name lad?" he asked awkwardly in a crouching position, realizing he never asked the boy's name.

That should probably be sending red flags for both of them but...

"Midoriya Izuku, All Might-Sensei!" He exclaimed brightly to the Hero, getting a nod of confirmation.

"Ok Midoriya-Kun! See you tomorrow~!" All Might yelled towards the boy, as he leaped away with an All Mighty bound!

Izuku looked on with awe clearly plastered across his face before reality quickly and harshly stepped in. "How in the world I'm I supposed to get down?!" he screamed in panic and horror.

...

So! Izuku had to drop five feet onto a nearby fire escape to get down from the building All Might left him at, which was terrifying, as it was cool, moving on!

Izuku always loved Saturdays, mostly because he didn't have to deal with his classmates and teachers and could completely focus on his Hero Journals for the future!

But today specifically left a whole new level of love for Saturday, as he woke up bright and too early, at three A.M and literally ran towards the train station, then to the beach All Might told him to go towards the day before, wearing a white shirt with basketball shorts and bright red shoes.

Izuku managed to arrive at the beach almost to the dote where he saw his Hero near, leaning on the railing over the trash filled land, dressed in almost the same type of clothing, a tight white shirt but instead of the basketball shorts, he wore solid grey track pants with white running shoes.

"All Might!" He greeted the Hero with an incredible amount of enthusiasm. The ever smiling man raised a mighty hand in greeting while holding a bag in his other.

"Young Midoriya-Kun, good morning! How was the train ride?" The blonde asked the young boy, making small conversation as they climbed down to the beach filled junk yard.

"Absolutely terrifying! I never rode the train without my mom before!" He told the hulking man who sweat dropped at how excited and terrified the greenette sounded.

"Uhhh, where did you tell your mom you were going?" All Might asked the boy who shook his head and looked towards the ground in slight guilt.

"I didn't. My mom works a lot of hours at her job and sleeps till three on the weekends, since she would never have let me go so far away from the apartment on my own if I asked permission, I just let her continue sleeping." All Might winced, at the boy's explanation, wondering if he made a mistake.

'Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to do this without talking to his mom first but any self respecting mother would never allow their child to go through what I'm about to put him through, so~' All Might shook his head, banishing his doubts and continued on the path he set himself and the boy onto.

"I'm sorry Midoriya-Kun that I put you in that position." the young greenette smiled at the man and blushed.

"i...it...it's no problem All Might!" the mighty man nodded with only slight hesitance.

"Okay, first things first..." All Might exploded into smoke, causing the young boy to scream and scrabble back in surprise at the turn of events.

Izuku closed his eyes and waved the smoke away from his face after a few moments he opened his eyes and came face to face with the emaciated man he tried to save in the alleyway.

"Whaaaa..." The man winced at the boy's face.

"Sorry to burst your bubble my boy but this is what I really look like." He told the boy who flinched at the lower and grochier voice that came out of the man who stood in the place of his hero.

"Hooooow...?" he asked the man who sighed and lifted up his white shirt, revealing dark purple scars, running along his rib cage and stomach, puckering at the end of his ribs.

Izuku violently flinched and tears gathered at the corner of his eyes as he looked at the wound, wondering what could have happened to the Invincible hero who could save anyone.

"Around three years ago I was in a fight, a fight with a very powerful and evil Super-Villain. To make a long story short I defeated and killed him but he crippled me." All Might explained to the greenette, dropping his shirt when the boy started to look a little too much like his hair.

"I almost didn't make it but at the end of it all, after a half dozen surgeries, I survived but lost the ability to fully harness my Quirk, One For All." He continued onto his story as Izuku's face filled with dread and horror.

"At the moment I can do hero work for around eight hours but at the rate I'm going, I'll lose my ability to harness my Quirk in about three to four years, so we're on a timetable Midoriya-Kun, you need to mold your body into a proper vessel as soon as possible, the faster the better or One For All 'could' disappear within me forever." The emaciated blonde laid the facts out to the boy, he could already see him struggling with the weight he placed on very young shoulders.

The emaciated Hero stuck out his hand towards the freckled face, twelve year old, who stared at the appendage for several seconds. "...ok." Izuku shakily nodded towards the incredibly tall man, grabbing the offered hand to pull himself up to his feet.

"What you need to do is clean this beach in about a year, Ok?" Izuku gave a hesitant nod to the man, who noticed. "What is it, kid?" Small Might questioned with a frown.

"Well, it, it's just won't all this heavy lifting make me short? Sho...shouldn't we-" The deceptively frail blonde raised a palm, stopping Izuku.

"That's an old wives tale, Midoriya-Kun." Izuku blinked in shock, "In reality you'll probably be a little bit taller from all the exercise." Izuku felt dumbfounded at the nugget of news, he heard that heavy lifting at a young age would stunt growth from almost every adult in his life. "Close your mouth, kid." The greenette picked his jaw from the floor, warmth flooding his cheeks as Small Might chuckled at him before continuing.

"Now, last night I made you a life plan for you to follow religiously for the next year, if complications arise you 'will' tell me and I'll tweak a few things, understood?" The greenette once again nodded towards Small Might, with some fear mixed into his awe.

Izuku saw Small Might reach into his bag and pull out a red, white and blue binder and handed it to him. He began flipping through it and saw a workout schedule, dietary meal plans, body exercise diagrams to do at home, tips on how to lift certain things, addresses to go to on certain times and dates and a sleeping schedule.

"You want me to follow the Dymaxion sleeping cycle?" the boy asked the emaciated Hero, who was surprised that the greenette knew what the term was.

"Yes. I'm training you to not only inherit my awesome Quirk but to also inherit my mantle as the Symbol of Peace and with your workout schedule, you need the time to study and maintain at least a three point five GPA so you can enter The UA Hero course." The frail looking blonde paused for a moment, "You do want to go to U.A, right?" Small Might asked the boy with an awkward, questioning tone, wondering if he assumed too much.

"YES!" Izuku's eyes sparked, causing the man to take a step back in surprise. "It's where all the best and most amazing heros go! Best-Jeanist, Endeavor and you!" Small Might didn't know human eyes could look so bright without a Quirk.

He cleared his throat slightly and decided to move on before he made things awkward. "Anyway, The dymaxion cycle would optimize your life so you can study and workout while still getting enough rest to operate on a day to day basis. With it we can achieve our goal of not only honing your body to handle One For All but to get you into U.A on your own merit." The blonde explained to the green hair boy, who gave an excited hum of understanding and slight anticipation. "But the lack of a full night's rest at your young age will 'actually' cause a stunt in growth."

Izuku slumped, he was hopeful for a second that he wouldn't be such a shrimp forever, "Don't worry, once One For All is introduced to your system, it will fix any damage caused by your training as your body adapts to fit the Quirk better." The fair skinned pre-teen gave a relieved sigh.

"Also, here." The blonde man once again reached into his bag and pulled out a smart phone package.

"It has my personal number pre-programed, this is so you can call me at any time if you need to talk or if you have any questions, so don't hesitate but I'm trusting you with it, so please don't abuse it too much." Small Might chucked at the boy, knowing that he probably wouldn't.

Izuku tore open the package and looked through the smartphone, he quickly entered the contact list and saw the only name on it, gasping in glee.

/Yagi Toshinori/

'This is All Might's true name!' Izuku mentally screamed to himself.

Toshinori ignored the gasp and continued. "Now for today I can be here for the full three hours you'll be hauling trash but be warned, I can't be here every single day, so I'll trust that you can handle yourself on the days I can't supervise you?" Izuku once again nodded at Small Might but this time with a lot more enthusiasm, happy his favorite person in the world trusted him so much.

"GREAT! let's get Plus Ultra, Young Midoriya-Kun!" Small Might puffed into All Might, exclaiming loudly towards the young greenette, who copied his enthusiasm to the best of his ability.

...

Every single muscle in Izuku's body was on fire. He kinda wanted to die but he also never felt so happy before.

He was truly going to become a Hero and All Might, his idol, the man who inspired his everything, was personally training him.

But those thoughts were for another time, right now Izuku needed to follow his new sleeping schedule and rest for thirty minutes.

...

Izuku managed to wake up on time but dear Kami he was tired, the only time he was this tired was when he cried himself to sleep after he was diagnosed as Quirkless, which should really say something.

Anyways, he saw almost all the suggested meal plans had a lot of proteins and vegetables but the three portions he needed to eat were larger than his breakfast and dinner together.

But he supposed it did make sense, considering not only the energy he would expend working out but also the six extra hours he would be awake, wasting more energy than usual.

Looking at it, Izuku knew he couldn't ask his mom to make these meals, they were just too big and unless given a reason, she would just refuse. The greenette knew if he told her he was working out she would try to limit him and constantly check in to make sure he wasn't overdoing it.

Izuku knew if she had any idea of the damage he planned to do to his body, she would make him stop immediately and never let him leave her sight.

Izuku's mom only made lunch and dinner on the weekends and expected him to have breakfast and lunch at school. He knew she had lunch and dinner at the hospital where she worked, skipping breakfast most days.

So Izuku thought to eat what she made on the weekends and buy what he needed for the week on monday with his allowance as he came home from school but then if she decided to make breakfast one day and find all this extra food, she would wonder why he bought it and probably get extremely worried why he was eating so much.

Another idea was to buy what he needed from day to day and make it so there was no evidence of what he was doing but how would he eat breakfast or lunch?

Izuku didn't have enough time to go to the store in the morning, so why not make pre planned meals for the week and hide them in his room.

But Izuku knew the food could go bad if they weren't refrigerated, so what could he do to make sure his mother didn't find out how much he was eating?

Izuku thought about it for a few moments and came up with the perfect idea. A Mini fridge!

Something that was just big enough for the food he wanted to keep refrigerated but small enough that it would only make a small difference on the electric bill for his mom.

The middle schooler knew he had enough money to buy a small mini fridge thanks to the five hundred and thirty six yen he received every week since he was five.

He saved everything, never knowing what to use for it because mom always bought everything he ever needed or wanted. He wondered sometimes why he even got an allowance when she bought whatever All Might toy, poster, and appliance that decorated every corner of his room.

She also bought whatever dessert he wanted when at the store so, he never found the need to go into his allowance, today would be the perfect opportunity.

Izuku hopped over to his closet and looked to see if it was possible, once he saw the plug at the corner of the closet he decided on his plan.

He took out his All Might piggy bank, unloading twenty one thousand and four hundred and thirty eight yen from his three hundred and seventeen thousand and two hundred and thirty seven yen savings, stuffing the yen into his pocket and went to Seiyu market, hoping to find what he needed.

...

Izuku sometimes wondered why the store was always so full no matter what time it was but that was probably for thought after he was done with his mission.

It took him an hour to find the one he wanted, that perfectly fell into his budget while still being big enough for what he needed. Izuku found the appliance for sixteen thousand and seventy seven yen, saving five thousand and three hundred and sixty one yen which Izuku was happy about.

What he wasn't happy about was carrying it back to his apartment but hey, at least he was getting a decent, painful, workout.

...

So carrying the mini fridge up the stairs to his apartment door was the third worst hell he had experienced but he did it, yeah~!

The greenette entered the house and looked around, once he made sure his mom was still in her room and still sound asleep, he began carrying the packaged mini-fridge to his room.

It took him around five minutes but he got it set up and working in his closet, away from his mom's prying eyes.

And on monday, he continued onto step two of his plan.

...

The rest of the day after his little adventure was him working on his Hero analysis, sleeping for another thirty minutes, and then eating together with his plump, emerald-headed mom.

Izuku and his mother had a good relationship but not a great one. His mother started working when he was ten, not because of any financial trouble, his dad made enough money, so she never had to work another day in her life but one day, around two years ago, she decided to put her old nursing degree to use and hadn't looked back since.

She worked ten hour shifts from three p.m to one a.m, so he never saw her on the weekdays and because of the crazy hours she worked, she was dead tired on the weekends, sleeping til three but even before she went back to work, their relationship wasn't the greatest.

She didn't believe in his dream and actively discouraged him whenever he brought it up, Izuku stopped listening to her concerns after too many lectures about how it was impossible for someone without a Quirk to be a Hero and he needed to let go of his ambitions.

He still loved her and she loved him, they just weren't on the same wavelength anyone, haven't been for a while.

"So how was work, mom?" The green haired pre-teen asked the woman across from him, shoveling some green beans into his mouth.

"Great! I talked to this tall, sickly man who needed a blood transfusion. We had an amazing conversation. " she told her son with a bright smile on her face.

Despite all their strained relationship, he was glad his mom was so happy.

"Really, what did you guys talk about?" Izuku asked his mom while he was biting into his fried chicken.

"Well it turns out he's some kind of secretary at Might Tower, the stories he had were amazing." she gushed to her son who looked at her slightly blushing face with a small smile.

"You like him, don't you?" Izuku asked with a slightly teasing tone, causing the woman to sputter much like her son when asked about anything romantic.

"What?! No! That's highly unprofessional Izuku." she admonished her son with a deep blush, trying to look at her son with a stern expression of discouragement.

The freckled faced boy continued to look at his mother with an innocent dead eye stare, causing the plump greenette to sigh in defeat.

"Anyways, I doubt I'll ever see him again, so even if I did gain a small crush, it won't ever go anywhere." Izuku patted her hand in sympathy.

"Well you never know, right?" trying to keep his mom's hope alive, he hated to see her so listless.

The stare he got in return from the woman, he knew he failed badly.

Well, Izuku knew he was right. You truly never know what life might throw at you.
